The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff always went above and beyond! The resort overall looks kind of aged and could use updates. The breakfast staff was always accommodating and amazing! Checking in and out was an easy process. Location is great, and close to almost anything you would want to do in Patong. The crossing guards were awesome, and we appreciate all of their help crossing the road. Patong will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you everyone!

We had pool access room was great room clean and room got cleaned every day bed was a bit hard but slept ok huge bathroom! Staff were great really friendly and easy to deal with!also breakfast was great and had a wide range of selection for everyone would definitely recommend and definitely stay there again. Location was great in a quiet area just across from the beach and 7/11 straight across the road also heaps of food options in walking distance

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was underwhelming. The Wi-Fi was practically unusable, and there was loud nightclub music blaring across the road well into the night, making it difficult to get any rest. Our room was outdated, and we experienced several issues, including no hot water at night, confusing light switches, and air conditioning problems.

To make matters worse, customer service was hit and miss. One staff member at reception (a larger woman) was quite rude and unhelpful when we are arrived. No one helped u with your bags up to your room (when asked she told me to find a lift) However, credit where it’s due — another receptionist was kind and professional, allowing us to store our luggage and check out late due to our evening flight.

While the hotel claims to be near the beach, the view is completely obstructed by a beach club, shops, poles, and overhead cables — so don’t expect ocean views.

Overall, it wasn’t a relaxing stay. The noise, outdated facilities, and lacklustre service made it hard to enjoy the location. I wouldn’t return.

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. The travel desk staff also very helpful and provided reasonable prices for excursions and great advice about potential weather conditions on the islands etc. We really enjoyed our stay here.

There is a 7/11 across the street, a massage place just down the road, a restaurant across the road, and a laundry lady next door who did a wonderful job of washing and folding our laundry for 50 baht/ kilo and returning it to hotel reception 24hrs later.

Unfortunately there were some guests that didn’t know how to use their manners at the breakfast buffet but cannot fault the staff at all. They were wonderful and always willing to assist.

It is located on the outskirts of Patong but that’s what we wanted. Get the bolt/ grab app and easy taxi/ tuk tuk to get you into the heart of the action when that’s what you want. The pool area is lovely and swim up bar served great cocktails!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you for having us! If we return to Phuket, we’ll definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was good, near the beach, shops and some nice restaurants but not as crazy as further south in Patong.
The main road next to us was a little difficult to cross with our 2 year old, you basically just have to walk out in front of cars and they have to slow down to let you cross.
The hotel was pretty good value with a nice pool and buffet breakfast included. The pool was very quiet despite what seemed like a lot of guests staying.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cleanliness could be better, floors were not vacuumed/mopped.
AC kept leaking, door lock wasnt locking properly hence the doors couldnt be closed easily from the outside.
Staff don't speak English too well, hence any concerns we had weren't addressed.

We mentioned that one of the guests we travelled with was celebrating their 30th birthday and it was a surprise trip for them, however, unfortunately the hotel did not put in the effort to organise any sort of nice surprise in the hotel room.

I was kindly placed in room 323.I booked a pool side room which was not given.
My wife was just happy to be at the Patong Paragon so room 323 was nice.
The staff were fantastic and beautiful however some of the guests were rude and inconsiderate to staff which was distressing.
I wish all the staff at the Paragon the best.

We were very excited to spend 5 nights here based on the reviews I had read. The hotel is indeed very nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Attention to detail by management is sorely lacking however. I hate petty negative reviews but need to note: 1 Our flight to Phuket was delayed by several hours. I called the hotel twice from our departure airport to give them revised arrival time. I was assured our hotel arranged transport would be waiting for us. It wasn't and another phone call to them from Phuket airport got us a ride - 30 minutes later. Should have simply taken a cab. 2. When we arrived at 8:30 pm to check in we were advised that the 2 rooms we booked with king sized beds in each were ready?. I had confirmed directly and in writing that each room was to have twin beds. Four 65 year old men - good friends but not couples who did not want to sleep with each other. Front desk requested no change that night and that rooms would be reconfigured the next day? We refused so again we had to wait - this time for an hour for same. 3. We left for golf each morning at 830 and returned around 4. The first 4 days neither room was made up on our return - despite daily reminders at front desk to do so. Again - get out of room and wait while maids turned them over. I actually met with \"hotel consultant\" Wanida Khamsathien who listened, said she was sorry, and offered a free round of drinks by the pool. I think she should have done more. Nice place but management lacking.

This resort is the worse one we’ve ever stayed at from check in to check out, they gave us the wrong room twice the staff are rude and not friendly,they don’t speak good English ,we had to keep asking for soap, toilet paper and towels for our room,the pool bar was closed on several occasions leaving no where to get a drink or food, the pool area does not have enough seating ,overall this is a terrible place to stay

The area was really cool, close to the beach and just the right of the beach club is a local bar area on the rocks that has Stunning view of the sun set. I had a pool access room that was super cool and stunning but the down fall was the bed was very hard, I also asked for a double bed on booking and it was made as two singles so ask to get it made as one they didn’t even get me get me a bigger blanket just used the two singles also didn’t have a flat sheet just a blanket that I thought was odd as most places have fitted, flat and blanket.

Little oasis on the outskirts of the Patong.

This was my second stay at the Paragon Resort & Spa.
It is like its own little oasis when in the pool.

To stay current the hotel will need to complete some renovations as the building is starting to look old.

Things like mattress and pillow comfort could be improved and towels with ripped edges. These little things will help elevate the hotel.

Having a drink offer to keep people at the hotel bar/swim bar longer would be a good idea.

Making a big investment in setting up an 5 star spa could help bolster the property.

The staff are very friendly and I’d highly recommend the hotel to others looking for a reliable place to stay just outside the hustle and bustle of Patong.

Service: Excellent staff, polite, friendly, helpful, happy.
Location: Close to the beach & parasailing & jetskis. 7-11 across the road. Chemist, Money Exchange & Laundry are basically next door. Easy walk to everything nearby.
Facilities: Some maintenance is overdue (like some AC's and pool area) but the building, rooms and facilities are generally in good repair, very clean and overall no complaints. We had 5 rooms and no issues to report.

booked the executive room so I could conduct meetings & spend time with friends what a mistake that was, I checked out early & moved to another hotel.
The room is spacious but very dated, Old TV without the latest connectivity options.
The couch & Lounge had stains, hairs & what looked like bodily fluids, So we never really sat on them.
Air conditioning was temperamental, shower had fluctuating temperatures.
No welcome fruit bowl as advertised for the executive room.
You can not sleep during the night as sound proofing is non existent, this room is classed as a City View
It is on the side of the road where all day & night you have revving of motor bikes & disco vans with music up loud you can hear everything.
I never slept.
next day I complained to staff & they did move me to a less expensive room, a junior suite, after some negotiating they did scrap the charge for the food I ordered when I checked out.
Second night stayed in the junior suite which also had an issue with noise but slightly less, I was recommended by another guest to go get ear plugs from the local chemist which I did and slept well.
The breakfast was by far the worst I have had , juice tastes so artificial, pastries tasted a bit stale & dry like they have been out for a few days.
The seats are filthy in the dining room.
Checked out a day early & moved to another hotel where sound proofing was soo much better, much cleaner.
I lost one day due to no sleep.
The member of staff that helped was great.

The Delux Room I was in is very spacious, Shower and bathtub also very spacious and my view from my windows and balcony of the hotels swimming pool absolutely fabulous to wake up to every morning or afternoon. The hotel location is also great being only 2 mins walk to Patong Beach. The staff were very polite and helpful to solve any issues too. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Phuket!
The only issue I would be critical over which is not unique to this hotel but most hotels I've been to around the world, is to invest in better TV program packages, like cable TV or satellite for when we prefer to stay in the room and relax, I know this may be costly but hotels need to realise that the holiday experience includes relaxing in your room. Overall, 5 out of 5 for my Patong Paragon Resort & Spa experience.

This is one of the best places I've stayed in phuket. They have the most friendly staff and are always there at your every need.
Everything is right there.

There is only 1 negative thing i can say and that its very hard to cross the street right outside the hotel, as there is a round-about to the right and it gets very busy.

This was my first time to Thailand and to Phuket. My only information about this hotel was through reviews and pictures. I was not disappointed!! The hotel looks just like the pics!! I was really impressed with the size of the room. Breakfast was a lovely buffet with lots of variety. The property is righy over ghe rd from the Patong beach! And also walkable to other tourist attractions as well as resturants. I will absoloutely stay here again and recommend to others

The rooms were very spacious but it did not have an outlet near the bed which was very inconvenient. I had a swim up room that led to the swim up bar which was nice. The breakfast was always good with many options. The restaurant food (lunch/dinner) was just so-so. The staff was very nice and accomodating. It had many dining options within walking distance and a 24 hour 7-11 across the street which was very convenient. It was also within walking distance of Bangla Rd.

The room was spacious, but showing its age. Two things really stood out to ruin the stay: The bed was 2 single beds pushed together leaving a gap in the middle with very hard harsh mattresses, and the TV chanel selection was very poor. Coming from Australia there was no choice for movies or sport, which was particularly frustrating at a time when there were several major sporting events taking place. The pool was nice and location was also good.

The house keeper came to tidy up the room but I found out that she didn’t change a clean town or bedding.
The night manager was a bit rude when I asked for a new beach town and told me they ran out but handed me a regular old town that looked like rugs.

The good: Cleanliness, size of room, staff friendliness and efficiency, pool, breakfast selection and reception. The not-so-good: There is no Spa (Spa is in hotel name), wifi is poor in room, gym needs some TLC, pool bar has a sign that says there is service during the day, there is no one serving drinks at all, just some old bottles of liquor that have been refilled with liquid to look like liquor. I would say this is a solid three star hotel (international star ranking) and the price is correct for that, hence it’s cheaper than other 4 and 5 star options in Patong. Also, Patong is a party town and a lot of fun if that fits your lifestyle. Fortunately the hotel is far away from the buzz and on a nicer part of the beautiful long beach.

I dont know how hotels.com can rate this hotel 5 star. It is a nice hotel with a beautiful pool but it is NOT 5 star. I stayed here for 2 weeks. The last week there was NO hot water at all. I had to talk to the staff and maintenance about this at least 6-7 times and every time they gave some non helpful answer and never fixed the issue. I started the stay in a different room and got moved because the AC did not work in my original room and they could not fix it. The pool is incredible. The one restaurant that is open is very nice and the staff there are excellent. The food is good. The housekeeping staff is very good as well. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly as well. Good location right near the beach. But not having hot water for a week kind of added stress and discomfort. 4 star hotel is more accurate.

Reception supervisor and manager excellent as are wait staff in the dining room. Our junior suite was massive and well equiped. Expresso machine, kettle, toaster, microwsve, tub.
Internet free but quite slow. Would be difficult to work on it.
Mattress very very firm. TV facing bed but none facing living room. I was under the impression when booking that this was a beachfront hotel but the beach is across a busy street. Beach chair rentals including umbrella and table only 200 TBHT for 2. Suggest hotel purchase these and give out coupons for guests.
Only 1 restaurant open. Very good food. Great prices. Room service excellent. Spa not open but sent to another which was excellent.
220 volt converters available at front desk.
Shower hot and forceful.
Hotel older but in decent shape. Clean.
Would book again, in fact, we extended by 4 nights.
Suggestion:
Leave instructions for expresso machine.
Have nice vehicles for shuttle to mall. I was not willing to climb into a pick up with tailgate in my white pants.
Many flyers with reg rack pricing in lobby. Post discounted
prices?
Beach/pool towels in the room.
Extra blankets on room. Extra pillows.
Bottled water in fridge instead of on counter.
More fresh fruit? Every 3 days. Booked 11 nights, got it once.

Informed staff but issue still persisted throughout the stay. Room was also full of mosquitoes, slept with inspect repellent on every night.

If you are out off by minor dark spots in otherwise perfect grout, have to have fluent English speaking staff and a flat screen TV then look elsewhere. We would definitely stay there again

Bang-for-buck stay for us stopping in Phuket for a few days. Road in the back had noisy bikes in the morning. Bathroom has many noticible mold stains in the tiles. AC control panel's buttons were so worn I could not tell what the buttons do, so I end up having to trail and error my way through. Front counter staff were expression-less, but cleaning staff were helpful and friendly.

Gorgeous and Close to Beach!

This Hotel is amazing and the beach is only a two minute walk away... although it may take you a bit longer because the street is busy! You just have to get the hang of how locals throw themselves into the traffic and the cars just stop for you. Its unnerving... but it works! The beach is stunning. The further you go from the Patong Beach sign the more people to bother you to buy stuff or harder to find an empty space.

I stayed in a pool access room which was delightful! It was room 101- it was very spacious and beautiful. They provide robes and slippers in the room. There is also a cool sitting area which could be used for an in room massage. (note I believe their spa is out of order. There was also was cleaning cart blocking the stairs to get to the spa and it was not advertised/mentioned during our stay)

The pool was usually quite empty that was wonderful for us. The bartender was friendly- but don't expect too much from him its a different friendliness not like what you would find in your neighborhood bar (like Cheers). The only food I had was at the pool and it was delicious!! There are tons of places right near the hotel to eat so get out there and discover.

The gym was nice- small but it had some good equipment pieces. Free weights up to 50 pounds, typical machines like elliptical and treadmill, also had some weight lifting machine and a bench press. The gym also has a small sauna for each sex-male or female. I did not try it I was too busy.

Highly recommended!

Our pool access room was great and a reasonable price , staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic.
Our issues were the location of the hotel, trying to cross a busy road and having to catch a Taxi every time we wanted to go out to bars and restaurants or main shopping areas. The beach was across the road but again
hard to cross with so many bikes and cars.

The hotel is somewhat clean definitely livable and has pretty large rooms and a beautiful swimming pool. The area around the hotel is not very clean. The hotel is about a 20-25min walk from the middle of of Patong where everything seems to happen and there is plenty of tuk tuk or other transport for relatively cheap prices. Staff don't really speak or understand English which can make things a little difficult; simple things is fine.
Be aware bringing guests over can cost you a lot of money as there is additional fees for every night you have someone over.

It's probably more suitable for couples or families, we were a group of younger males.

The reception was very helpful, they do have a tourism place in the lobby and I did book a day trip to Phi Phi Islands through them and would highly recommend it. Breakfast buffet had good variety. We also made use of the fitness centre and pool. It's about a 15 minute walk to Bangla St and I would highly recommend one night there to experience the buzzing nightlife in Patong. This is an excellent choice if you are looking for something affordable. The hotel offers everything you could need.

FANTASTIC Place

We loved our 4 nights at the Patong Paragon so much, we decided to stay for longer.
Yes it is getting slightly older & could do with a re-vamp in a few areas, but that's purely cosmetic.
The staff are amazing, so friendly & always greeted us with a big smile & went out of their way to help. They truly make this place.
The Pool area is stunning, the location is great, right opposite the better end of Patong Beach.
Nightlife and Markets are a few minutes walking distance.
Buffet breakfast was excellent, great chef.
Huge rooms.
Older TV, but who goes to Thailand to watch TV anyway?? The beds are quite firm, but we have had the same issue with many Thai Hotels.
I would highly recommend this place & we will definitely be staying again.

The reception staff was extremely rude and very harsh. I have been to thousands of hotels in my life and I have yet to see check in staff to be so in-polite and does not know the meaning of customer relation.
The breakfast food was terrible with the worst selection of fruits I have seen anywhere in Thailand.
The waiters lied that they have no \"papaya\" as it was Sunday. The next day \"Monday\" they gave the same reason. When I complained that I only eat fruits in the morning. They suddenly brought out a plate of already cut \"papaya\". I pride myself that I stay in either 4 or 5 stars hotels only but I can say without hesitation that this hotel must be the WORST 4 star hotel I have ever been to !!!

great upscale resort and everything you'd expect - great room, large room, fantastic view, beautiful pool. the pool had too many kids for our taste. not a far walk from main beach and shopping strip but if you're not a walker be prepared for large songtheaw fees

Good resort just a little from main road

Overall experience at paragon was good! The staff where mostly helpful however I found front desk staff a little hard to deal with but nothing major.
The room was great (we stayed in a pool access room on the bottom floor) very spacious. The bed was a little disappointing as it was very hard but that just more of a preference than anything. It a good 10-15 minute walk to Bangla road but there are tuk tuks just outside. It was prefect for us as we didn't want to stay in the middle of it all.

Enjoyed our stay there the staff are friendly and helpful. The fact that the hotel could do with a bit of an uplift did not effect our stay. we were comfortable and the room was clean. The size of the rooms were well over what we would have expected. The staff responded to a move of room when we found our neighbours a little on the noise side. The hotel is situated on the outer edge of patong away from the noise of the bangler road.

Last Day Hotel Hopping

Was not that pleasant when the bell boy who is supposed to lead us to our room was not helpful at all.He was in the lift and did not offer to help us press the level as we thought that he was not leading us to our room.We went out and he is behind us instead of him leading us to our room.I walked with our luggage and ignore him thinking that he was not leading us but he is supposed to show us to our room which is vice versa.The check in was not smoot either,I was asked to show proof my discount given by Hotel.com by the front office during check in.I was told that i have to wait for the room till their housekeeping is done and wasn't given the time frame.So i said that maybe we could proceed to the pool and wait for our room.Upon reaching the fitness centre i ask for a towel for me to be used at the poolside but was given a stern remarks by the guy in the fitness centre that i have to return the towel back here (only idiots dunno where to return the towel).He also says in a offensive tone that if i want to go to the beach please get another towel from the front office.Very ridicilous service at its best!I think all the staff are having menses including the guys!Please teach your staff some basic manners!

overall I enjoyed my stay, the restaurant food is excellent.
My only concern is that the front of house staff speak very little English and seem to have a real problem understanding and communicating. This hotel has a lot of potential to be a great hotel, the hotel management are invisible and not known, not even a business card is available with their names.
The restaurant staff are mostly pleasant, one in particular stood out from the rest, Tenada I think her name was, very polite always with a smile and really looking around all the guest to see who needs help, thats great awareness which I couldn't say about anyone else there.
But like I said, I did enjoy my time there.

The restaurant food is pretty much great, very meal was to my satisfaction, portions were perfect and presentation was good also.
The hotel is a nice hotel, but there is room to make this hotel so much better.
My one serious fault with the hotel was the lack of English spoken staff, unfortunately I had many issues with this.
If they could have fluent English speakers this hotel could be one of the best in the area. It has a grand pool area, the hotel looks great, some minor imperfections, some updates to the room and this place would be great.
They also had issues with the tv channels, sometimes they don't work.
But all that said, I still had a pleasant time there.

Nice hotel resort, and nice stay. Service was great and room was large. Hotel was alittle dated, however nice overall stay. Would stay again as it is next to the beach and good location.

My partner and I stayed at the Paragon 4 years ago and had really fond memories of the hotel. We remembered the services being really good, amazing pool and friendly staff.
Well, we didn't get much of that this time. The hotel is in much need of maintenance: the windows are filthy, there are pigeons nesting on all of the balconies and the furniture, walls and appliances are stained and dirty. The staff were pretty rude, and always seemed surprised and put out when we asked for towels for the pool (which should have already been on the rack) and a drink at the bar (which was always deserted, and the staff didn't know how to make any drinks). The pool bar was closed without explanation, and the activities room, sauna and patisserie were not operating. The pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, and we just felt generally unwelcome. It was like we were staying at an abandoned hotel (at one point I think we were the only guests). Also, the man who organizes the taxis refused to order us one (isn't that his one job?).
There were some good points: the breakfast was tasty and the man who organized our transport to Phi Phi Island was very nice, helpful and friendly.
But overall, wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Maybe the hotel was 4 stars before, but over the years it would be generous if i give them 3 1/2 stars. My room was dirty, took them less than 15m to clean the entire room. Quite often make up room was later than 3'. They never keep hand soap in the lobby toilet. The pool are full of sand. When you aked for something the answer will be : \"in 1hr, but you will get it the next day if you keep asking them. Running out of tissues in my room, when i asked them, they said they finished then gave me toilet paper. Staff were not very helpful, their English were very poor. If i prepared to stay in the 3 stars hotel, with those conditions i would accept it, but they claims that their hotel is 4 stars, i think someone should know the truth.

Friendly helpful staff. Well maintained for an Asian resort. Breakfast was excellent with a good range and great chef. Good location - quiet but close to beach. Pool magnificent. If you had s problem or needed help it was taken care of straight away.

Would definitely book the Paragon again and have already recommended it to friends going to Patong.

3rd time at hotel in about 10 years and the hotel is dropping its standards on all fronts.
Staff now barely able to communicate in English and bed linen and towels are all worn. The cover for comforter did not fit the comforter and there were holes and stains on sheets.
Pool floor hasn't been cleaned in a while and very sandy.

We asked for a change of room after first night because there was a humming noise all night from the hotel's cooling system located on the roof 4 floors above. I feel sorry for those on higher floors in that block.

Even though this hotel is at the northern end of Patong it is an easy 10 min walk to Bangla Road or Jung Ceylon shopping centre. Enjoyed our walks along the beach in the day and night time.

Good location, nice pool

Overall a good hotel. The pool was very nice, the location was good and the rooms were clean and spacious.
The hotel staff did not speak english well, but they did speak a number of other languages, and we did not have an issue with being helped- they could always find someone who spoke english for more complicated requests/questions.

If you charge 1,200 baht per a visitor you stay empty:)

Really charging for visitors even though its a somewhat tradition in Thailand is a joke. This is a great hotel, the room is amazingly big and comfortable. But not many guests, and you know why? Read the headline....

And yes, one of the small drawbacks: the water was not hot enough to take a nice bath - you see the spacious rooms feature both a shower and a bathtube.

Enjoy being empty during the high season:)

Quiet location away from the main beach area chaos

We stayed here for 4 nights in July/August 2015. Hotel location was actually a plus for us -- 2 minute walk to Patong beach but at the far end of the beach, away from the crowds down around Banga Road. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Hotel offered occasional classes such as fruit carving, cooking, etc which my wife found kind of fun. Good thing to do if it rains. We stayed on the second floor, but I think I would recommend a poolside room. They have pool access right outside the door.

This hotel sucks. They will charge you extra if you have a guest in your room. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms so you have to go down to the lobby to use it. My room was filthy. I actually had to have them leave cleaning supplies so I could clean it myself because it was that bad. Don't stay here. There's better places for better prices. The pool was nice though. That's it. Restaraunt was horrible as well.
