When I chose Aana through Expedia, I had surveyed locations around the area by reading and researching. Aana delivered on all its promises. The setting is very rustic as the individual rooms are nestled among well established trees and shrubbery. There are flowers and flowering plants along with a variety of birds to complete the tropical feel. The design of this sprawling resort offers comfort, coziness, and isolation among closely located units. We choose a unit with its own plunge pool/jacuzzi. This is a wonderful treat. The intimacy and privacy offered with this amenity is well worth the additional price point. If you want a much larger version of a pool, there is one on the property. I mentioned the rustic feeling of the setting, and that is evident by the stressed wood that is used to build decking, walkways, etc.
Aana is a hidden gem with a charm all its own. There are nooks and crannies within the resort that are wonderful to discover.
The daily breakfast buffet offered an outstanding variety of fresh fruits, local and international dishes, and egg and local treats cooking stations.
The staff throughout the facility was always friendly, helpful, and extremely courteous.
Overall, Aana is clean and comfortable, if a bit slightly worn (our bed). Transportation in and around the facility is provided by local taxis (arranged by the front desk) into town, while a motorized flat or platform boat shuttles you to and from the nearby beach.
We plan to return!

We had a nice stay and enjoyed the friendly service. We especially liked the shuttle service by boat and car for our family. It made getting around super easy. There was a little bit of noise due to renovations going on but they never went on too early or too late.

Mix perceptions of the place.

Our stay was a kind of adventurous. The resort needs a lot of repairs and cleanings. Although it is still feel enchanter nature around and beautiful views. The main pool is ok, the infinite pool is dirty and seems not care. The beds are comfortable and the shower is great. The restaurant area is beautiful, the food is not great. But the breakfast is ok. Good internet. Horrible tv channels. Overall we enjoy the experience.

I visited Aana 5 years ago and returned in Feb 2018. 5 years on and the hotel looked worse for wear. The extensive wood paths and structures needs treatment and overall it look just tired. The Villas are nice but not as spacious as I'd hoped. The enormous bed was great though.It is still a great design with a maze of wooden walk ways and exotic villas. At £115 per night I didn't find it particularly cheap given it only has 3 star facilities.

Breakfast is ok but not amazing.

Upon arrival our room was fully
Booked so they gave us another one (which we were not happy with). The hotel is beautiful build on stilts, but the restaurant and the bar are almost empty in the evening (pity, because the food is good). During the day it is nice to use kayaks to go to the beach, but in the evening you have to walk quite a bit along the road. There is a little shoo behind the reception which is handy. So our feelings about this hotel are very mixed.

very nice place! looks like real tropical village. our villa was perfect: very nice, clean and you have everything you need for your stay. area is very quite so if you want bars and parties you'll need to go to white sand beach. you have free transfer there twice a day but the problem is the last one coming at 20:00 so if you want to stay longer you need to take taxi home. you have minimart at the hotel but it's pretty expensive.
oh and one great tip! when you go for firefly watching just touch the water and you will see magic :)

Quiet and beautiful hotel with great pools.

Beautiful hotel set in gardens next to a river. Shuttle boat and free kayaks to the privat beach. Great pools and nice breakfast. Would definitely come back. It has a unique and relaxing feel to it, unlike many other places on the same beach. There are 2 bars and a few restaurants in walking distance but the surroundings are rather quiet.

Check in. I waited almost an hr to find our booking. They couldnt find it. The resort was fully booked. I PAID IN FULL ADVANCE. It was unprofessional and unpleaseant experience. The front desk staff changes their word everytime we spoke.

Quiet hotel, service needs improving.

The room was a good size and the nearby beach is quiet. There are free kayaks to borrow for the day which are fun.

Unfortunately the restaurant and general hotel service are not at an acceptable standard. Avoid eating your evening meal at the hotel. I would advise you to hire scooters for the day (150 - 250 baht) and pop down to the towns to the south which have lots of good options for food.

We stayed over NYE and this was a painful drawn out affair. A nice 3 course meal on the beach wits fireworks would suffice.

Horrible people are scam artists!!!

I booked a room for 3 adults in a simple room for my wife and her two friends. When they got there they asked for more money of course! even when I proved to them I booked for 3 on my e mails. Plus they told me it was double the price for it being Mother's Day weekend. bs if you ask me!!!

Pretty and quiet

A quiet and pretty setting on the river. The hotel provides free boat rides the couple of hundred meters up the river to the beautiful private beach on Klong Prao - the best beach in Ko Chang. There is also a free shuttle to White Sand beach and free use of kayaks. The rooms are spacious and well equiped and the lush tropical garden is lovely. Signs of age here and there and the rooms could use a paint job but that is common in tropical Thailand. A good riverside restaurant and breakfast is excellent. I really like this hotel and it's quiet setting off the main road. Two fabulous pools.

Arrived on the island at 11 am. The reception refused any early check in. When I returned at 1:45 pm they sat behind the counter doing nothing and waited until exactly 2 pm to let me have my room key.

After visiting hundreds of hotels in Asia service like that is unacceptable. I wouldn't return.

TRANQUILITY... when was the last time that all you could hear was nature? At breakfast the restaurant location is difficult to surpass... overwhelming! The Hotel is surrounded by green lush forest in sub-tropical weather by the river and a 3 minute boat ride to the beach.

Gym was ordinary with only 3 machines.
complimentry Kyacks were great for exploring mangroves and beach.

the room we booked is not what we thought it would be. super old furnitures. dirty swimming pool. breakfast ok but not much eatable warm dish. location is the worst and they only offer one shuttle to town at evening, so basically you are stuck in the small hotel room all day long. I would not recommend to anyone!!! not worth the money definitely not a 4 start!

I was staying what looks like the original block of rooms which is situated down a gravel road at the rear of the hotel complex

I did not see inisde the hut style accommodation, therefore, can't comment.

Bonus for the hotel is the riverside restaurant/bar. This is very relaxing.

Could be a very nice resort with a little refurb.

The main road is quite a distance and the shuttle only goes in morning and evening, therefore taxis (although very cheap) would be required.

I would not recomend the hotel for families.

Anaa Resort was a great stay in Koh Chang. The design of the hotel was simple yet very tasteful. We really liked all the fixtures and furniture of the room. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and everything worked, including the virtually noiseless aircon! Access to the beach is by boat only, either by kayak, which is free for guests, or they have a boat taxi. There private beach area is in a great location with wonderful views of the mountains and great sunsets! One of the best things about the resort was the awesome breakfast which is varied and would appeal to many nationalities. One thing I would like to see improved is beach access in the evening (they ask that you return the kayaks by 630pm). I like evening walks on the beach and swims in the sea. Also, the staff, although friendly and helpful, had some trouble communicating in English beyond the very basics. They did have a manager who can speak English very well on call at most times, however. All in all, I strongly recommend Anaa Resort Koh Chang for couples and families, who want a quiet, clean and comfortable vacation at a resort with an interesting and tasteful design.

Fantastic and relaxing escape!

If you would like to escape from city life or reality, this is the resort for you. Aside from laying on the beach, going swimming in the pool, dining and going to the spa, there is not much you need to do on your vacation. I got all this at AANA! I was also able to go to White Sands beach and the downtown area to do some dining and shopping--courtesy of the hotel shuttle.

This resort is beautiful and the service is great, it is out of the way in terms of the town but if you are looking for a place to relax then this is it. if you want night life then it would be better to stay in White Sand area.

Please note that check in time is 2pm and check out is 12pm (this website stated noon check in!!) - we arrived at 12.30pm and was told to wait at the hotel bar. I was not too impressed after our long journey.

The excursions are relative priced compared to the other resorts, however the range is not as comprehensive so it is worth looking around before booking anything.

The food is relatively more expensive so you can alternate with eating at other restaurants. The spa is outlandishly over priced so definately go elsewhere. I was surprised that the spa prices were similar to London!!

Overall i would definately go back, it was a very relaxing stay indeed.

A beautiful hotel in a tropical landscaped setting. It's riverfront position offers a pleasant alternative to the standard beachfront hotel. With it's own private beach a short kayak up the river, this adds to the unique experience. This hotel is amazing!!!
I would recommend it to everyone. There is two swimmingpools, and free towels and a beach, with you can take a cajak too or boat. Just a bit away. The food at the hotell is supergood, try the Aana Sallad, so good!! We hardly left the hotel, exept for New Years, and its pretty easy to take a taxi to Whit Sand Beach for dinner or party.
I would love to go again!

Although not directly located at the beach, the hotel provides free boat service to the private hotel beach about 200 m away from the hotel. Private beach has hotel service. Sunsets can be viewed from that beach. For those who do not like to eat at the hotel (like us), it is only a short walk to small restaurants at the main road. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

If you want somewhere lively with bars & shops nearby this is not the place for you. If you want a quiet, relaxing break in beautiful surroundings Aana is ideal. The staff are very friendly, the pools and beach are lovely, the setting on the river is beautiful. The spa is a little expensive when you consider prices locally - and the food is also on the expensive side but nothing unusual for a hotel. Taxis to nearby restaurants are cheap compared to the UK (but not compared to Bangkok) and there is plenty to do on the island that the hotel caters for - and doesn't bump up the prices (elephant trekking, snorkelling, hiking). Really lovely waterfall is 50bhat taxi ride away. Room was very nice (and we only had the basic room), very clean with everything you would expect (towels, hairdryer, air conditioning, tv, dressing gowns etc). All in all a lovely, relaxing break.

Great place to stay!

We stayed at Aana over Christmas last year. The staff were extremely helpful, and assisted us with planning our trip, organizing events and helping us with anything we needed. The restaurant was awesome, and had a great selection of food.

Breakfast was included, but after 5 days or so, we got a little tired of the exact same thing, more variety would be nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and will go back again.

En rart anderledes sted ved floden. Til enhver tid kunne man blive sejlet til stranden 5 minutter væk og tilbage igen. Fed fireflytur i kajak, der kunne lånes gratis hver dag. På stranden kunne fås god massage.
Restaurant under ombygning så måltiderne måtte indtages ved en af de to pools. Venligt og hjælpsomt personale.

Super dejligt hotel, placeret uden for larm og trafik,ligger ned til en (ren) flod,ikke langt fra stranden, man kan låne kayaker eller blive sejlet ned til stranden gratis.
Hver after er der gratis tur op af floden for at se ildfluer , meget hyggeligt.
Minusser : stor ombygning af restauranten ved floden, så morgenmad blev indtaget i et konference lokale uden vinduer.
Vi spiste aftensmåltid der en gang, og det var en gang for meget, ikke noget at skrive om.

Dejligt ophold

Boede på Aana i sidste uge af august, hotellet er super, og ligger dejligt fredeligt , forstået på den måde at det ligger uden for larm og støj, de har gratis shuttle bus ind til White Sand beach flere gange dagligt, hotellet ligger ned til en bred flod som ikke er så beskidt som man kunne frygte, de har båd og kajakker man kan bruge når man skal den korte vej til stranden.
Vores bedømmelse er ikke i top fordi restauranterne var under ombygning, så morgenmaden blev indtaget i et konferencerum uden vinduer, lidt synd når man tænker på hvor lækkert det kunne ha været nede ved floden .
Morgenmaden var fin , men det ene aftens måltid vi spiste der var super kedeligt .
Positivt var sengene , nok de bedste vi har sovet i på vores efterhånden nogle hotel besøg i Thailand.

Väldigt mysa hotell med djungelatmosfär. Två fina pooler. Det enda man borde veta är att, hotellet ligger precis i en vik. Så för att ta sig till havet så man kan bada behöver man antingen paddla kanot eller åka deras flotte ca 5 min.

Très agréable

Nous nous somme fiancés dans cet hôtel et la réception à vraiment joué le jeu pour la surprise. Toutes mes demandes ont étés respectés à la lettre et je n'ai pas eu de déception. Notre seul petite déception à été sur la localisation de la chambre un peu excentré pour un séjour avec des fiançailles de prévues. Nous tenons tout de même à remercier grandemant tous les services. Le dinner sur bateau privé local était juste fabuleux au tarif de 20200 bath ça valait vraiment le retour.

Der exotische Deko und der Jungle Garten. Die Villa war sehr schön mit eigenen Jacuzzi. Aber alles sollte renoviert sein: die Türen schließen nicht gut, der Garten ist schön aber ist verwahrlost, die Mauer neben den größere Schwimmbad mit alte
Malen und alle Treppen und Weg im Holz sollen renoviert sein. Auch Nachrung von dem Cinnamom Restaurant nicht sehr gut und frisch(Abendessen) aber Früstück war toll. Endlich eine sehr starke Musik jeden Abend bis Mitternacht. Es ist schade, weil der Ort hat viel Reiz und könnte ganz „Zen“ und Luxus sein.

Prachtig resort en heel warm ontvangst... Mooie ligging aan Klong prao river.... Gratis shuttlebus service, gratis Kayak..... Super geweldig ontbijtbuffet.... De kamer leek wel een sprookje...

Отель расположен вдали от магазинов и города , правда туда ходит бесплатный шатл-бас (Вайт сент бич) . Номера старые \"уставшие\" в комнате стоял запах \"сырости\" . Убирают нормально , завтраки нормальные , на пляж и обратно возят по первой просьбе . Очень доброжелательный персонал . Хороший пляж . В отеле два бассейна . Недалеко водопад и слоны .

Rauhallinen viikko rehevän,trooppisen vehreyden keskellä. Hyvät uima-altaat,ja hotellilla oli myös oma hiekkaranta-alue. Aamupala monipuolinen. Huone keskitasoa,ja pari torakkaa nähtiin
Luontoa rakastaville,ei bilettäjille,sopiva tyyssija. Henkilökunta ystävällistä.Taksilla pääsi nopeasti illalla ravintolaan tms
Hotellilla tehtiin korjaustöitä,ja onkin päivittämisen tarpeessa osa huoneista ja ulkorakenteista.Rentouttava,vähän erilainen hotelliympäristö. Hyvä valinta aikuisille matkaajille.

7 pv.tässä hotellissa . Erikoinen paikka joenrannalla mutta ehdottomasti täyttä remonttia vaille. 4 tähteä nyky kunnossa on puolet liikaa! Henkilökunta ok . Puisissa kateissa ja kävelytasoissa paljon keltaisia muurahaisia jotka aiheuttivat ainakin meille pahan ihottuman.

CP值超高的渡假飯店

房間非常舒適，還有美麗的私人沙灘可以耗一整天的時間。飯店人員交接得很仔細讓人感覺非常安心。雖然在離市區比較遠一些的地方，但也因此非常安靜不被打擾。會想一去再去的舒適地方。

Bra hotell för den som vill ha lugn och ro

Bra hotell med fina rum, stor frukost och bra mat. God service och bemötande. Nackdelen är att det ligger i ett ”ingenmansland” med få restauranger i närheten. Går bra att ta taxi från huvudvägen mot andra stränder/byar med mer utbud, hotellet erbjuder även transfer till White Sand Beach två ggr/dag. Strand nås med kajak från hotellet.

Hoognodig een opknapbeurt nodig

Dit was voor de derde keer dat wij in het Aana ressort verbleven, voor ons nu wel de laatste keer. Het hotel heeft een grote opknapbeurt nodig. Wat het ontbijt betreft dit is ver achteruit gegaan, het wordt niet aangevuld en om 9.15 uur beginnen ze alles al op te ruimen. Privestrand mag men veel beter onderhouden vies met sigarttenpeuken, dopjes gewoon vies om in te lopen. Wij vinden het jammer van dit hotel. Een ding wat goed is het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Einstmals schöne Anlage mit Problemen und Baulärm

Waren im Haupthaus untergebracht. Leider überwiegen die negativen Seiten die positven bei weitem. Das Haupthaus besteht aus 3Geschoßen mit jeweils 14 Zimmern. Das 1OG kann nicht empfohlen werden weil die Klimaanlagen alle dort zusammen gefaßt sind d. h. vor jeder Zimmertür stehen 3Klimaanlagen mit der entsprechenden Geräuchentwicklung. Schimmelbildung in den meisten Zimmern. Die Klimaanlagen sind schlecht gewartet und verbreiten meist einen unangenehmen Geruch. Am Duschvorhang war unten Schimmel. Der sehr schöne und große Balkon hat keinen Sonnenschutz, sodas er ab 13.00Uhr nicht genutzt werden kann. Ein guter Umweltgedanke Shampo, Seife u. Lotion in Keramiktöpfchen zur Verfügung zu stellen verkehrt sich ins Gegenteil weil täglich aufgefüllt wird und die Lotion einfach nur noch ranzig war. Der \"Viewpoint\" giibt es nicht, ist ein nicht zugänglicher Wasserturm. Die \"Hilltopbar\" bietet einen schönen Ausblick, der dortige Pool nicht. Im Frühstücksbereich mit seinem hervorragenden Angebot gibt es Tischsets aus Bambus, diese gehören allesamt in den Müll. Während unseres Aufenthalts wurde über mehrere Tage ein Gartenbungalow neu eingedeckt, am Strand wird ein neues Gebäude mit entsprechendem Lärm errichtet. Ein riesiges Manko ist der im Bau befindliche Hotelkomplex auf der anderen Seite des Wasserlaufs ca. 50m entfernt, Punkt 8.00uhr morgens fängt der Baulärm (Hämmern, Klopfen, Kreissäge) an und geht so weiter bis zum Beginn der Dämmerung

ジャグジー付のヴィラを予約しましたが、ダブルブッキングだったみたいで、ビルディングへ移動させられました。対応がイマイチでした。

朝食会場も、テーブルにアリがいたり、夜露でイスがぬれていたりと、清掃部分が行き届いてない感じがしました。

รีสอร์ทติดคลองพร้าว บรรยากาศดี พนักงานดูแลดีมาก ห้องสะอาด ดูดี แอร์เย็นสะใจมาก แต่ช่วงหน้าโลว์ซี่ซั่น จะมีบางส่วนที่ใช้บริการไม่ได้ สระน้ำทั้งสองแห่งสวยดี มีมุมพักผ่อนชิลๆ ถ่ายรูปสวยๆได้หลายที่ อาหารอร่อย ราคาไม่แพงมาก พอๆกับร้านข้างนอก บางอย่างถูกกว่าบางร้านข้างนอกอีก โดยรวมถือว่าดีมาก จะกลับไปพักอีกแน่นอน

มาพักที่นี่อีกครั้ง ด้วยความที่ประทับใจจากการพักครั้งแรกมาก จึงเลือกที่นี่ ในการมาฉลองวันเกิดตัวเองกับเพื่อนๆที่นี่ (ซึ่งครั้งนี้แนะนำเพื่อนมาด้วยอีก3คน รวมเป็นทั้งหมด 4 คน)

แต่สิ่งที่ไม่ประทับใจเลยจากการมาพักครั้งนี้ และคงไม่มาพักที่นี่อีก คือ
1. ยุ่งยากตั้งแต่ตอน check in โดยปกติแล้ว รร. สมัยนี้ มักจะขอแค่ชื่อ-นามสกุลผู้จอง และบัตรประชาชน แค่นั้น (จากการพักมาหลายที่ ก็แบบนี้) แต่ที่นี่ ต้องขอใบจองจาก expedia ด้วย ซึ่งเราก็ไม่ได้ปริ้นมา ด้วยความที่คิดว่าทาง รร น่าจะมีหลักฐานการจองจาก expedia อยู่แล้ว ก็เลยต้องวุ่นวาย ค้นข้อมูลหลักฐานการจองในเมลจากที่ได้รับจาก expedia เพื่อต้อง forward เข้าเมล front ของ รร อีก ทำให้เสียเวลาตอนเชคอินมาก จากที่เรามาเหนื่อยๆก็อยากจะรีบเข้าห้องพัก

2. ห้องทีกลิ่นอับชื้นมาก รวมถึงหมอนบนที่นอน เหม็นอับมากๆ จนต้องโทรให้ทาง รร. มาเปลี่ยนหมอนให้ แต่ รร มาบอกจะเอาไปอบใหม่ให้ แล้วเอามาเปลี่ยนให้คืน เราและเพื่อนๆอีก3คน ก็ต้องรอหมอนไปอบ กว่าจะมาส่งให้ใหม่อีกก็ใช่เวลาเป็นชม. แทนที่จะเปลี่ยนให้ ลค. ไปเลย

3. ฝักบัวในห้องน้ำไม่โอเค น้ำที่ออกมาแรง จนเจ็บเวลาอาบน้ำ

และอื่นๆ อีกจิปาถะ สรุป คือ ไม่ประทับใจเลยครั้งนี้ จะไม่แนะนำให้เพื่อนมา และจะไม่มาพักอีกค่ะ

We love to come back someday

We had a very nice holiday here.
Great environment, food was delicious, cheap, great staff> they do everything for u and they have some great things to do on the island.
1 thing i would say: is that they need to do so maintance on the buildings, u can see some old spots.
Because of this i dont give maximum points.
But we love to go back someday.

Уют и спокойствие.

Понравилось буквально все! от заселения до отъезда. Разнообразные и обильные завтраки. В номерах чистота и порядок. Прекрасные интерьеры и экстерьер. На территории два бассейна. До пляжа отвозят на лодках, но можно бесплатно взять каяк. На собственном пляже лежаки, зонтики и небольшой бар. Два раза в сутки на White Send Beach ходит бесплатный шатл. Вечером устраивают бесплатную экскурсию по реке, где показывают светлячков. Персонал приветливый и гостеприимный. Из отеля открываются прекрасные виды. Весь отель утопает в зелени и цветах. Огромное спасибо персоналу.

ชมก่อนเลยค่ะว่า พนักงานทุกคนน่ารักมาก ทั้ง ช/ญ ประทับใจค่ะ ตั้งเเต่พนักงานต้อนรับไปจนแม่บ้าน แม้กระทั่งช่าง โดยรวมเซอร์วิสสุดยอดมากค่ะ อาหารเช้าบุปเฟ่ถือว่าใช้ได้เลยทีเดียว กินวันนี้ อิ่มถึงพรุ่งนี้เลยค่ะ 5555 สระว่ายน้ำมีทั้งชั้นบนและล่าง เป็นธรรมชาติมากค่ะ ตอนเราลงเล่น แอบเห็นเจ้าหน้าที่ไปเช็คค่าน้ำที่สระ คือใส่ใจทุกรายละเอียดจริงๆ ผ่านค่ะ :) ส่วนตัวห้องพักที่เป็นเฟอร์นิเจอร์ทำจากไม้จะเก่าไปนิดก็ถือว่าโอเคร ธรรมชาติดี แต่บังเอิญห้องที่เราพักมีน้ำไหลซึมด้านล่างอ่างล้างหน้า และมีน้ำหก หรือมาจากไหนไม่รู้บนโต๊ะทีวี ตอนเราเข้า เราเห็นพอดี จึงบอกพนักงานชายที่ยกกระเป๋า เค้าก็รีบเข้ามาเช็ดให้อย่างกับความเร็วเเสงเลยค่ะ 5555 แซวๆนะค่ะ อ้อ และมีวันนึงเราออกไปข้างนอกเเต่ลืมพลิกป้ายทำความสะอาดมันจึงขึ้นป้ายว่านอนหลับทั้งวัน แม่บ้านก็ไม่เข้านะค่ะ แต่มีแอบเเขวนน้ำขวดไว้ให้เราหน้าประตูด้วยค่ะ น่ารักเชียว.. เอาเป็นว่าภาพรวมประทับใจค่ะ รอบหน้าอาจพาครอบครัวไปพักอีกแน่นอนค่ะ ราคาอาจดูเเพงไปนิดแต่มันคุ้มค่านะค่ะ ถ้าพนักงานแต่ละคนจะน่ารักขนาดนี้ ^^ ดีกว่าจ่ายเเพงแต่ความรู้สึกเหมือนฉันไปขอบ้านเธอนอนฟรี !!!!! เข้าใจนะค่ะ ปล. คำไหนไม่สุภาพ ขอโทษไว้ ณ ที่นี้นะค้าา จุ๊ฟ

Hotel am Fluss

Hotel ist schon etwas älter und müsste in einigen Bereichen renoviert werden. Schöner Garten und großer flacher Strand, an den man mit dem Boot fährt.Gutes, aber nicht überragendes Frühstück. Um zu anderen Restaurants zu kommen ist ein Motorroller notwendig.
