Perfect for a quaint stay!

The hotel is in the Frankfurt region, about 25 minutes away from the city centre. It is located in a somewhat secluded and very quiet area, where you can definitely relax and have a nice day, without being too far from town. There is one just about 5 to 10 minutes away by car, whilst Frankfurt lies about 25 minutes to half an hour. It took me that long to get to the airport. From the moment you drive onto the lot, you feel that you are entering a wonderful atmosphere. There are two parking lot. One that is covered, and another one a little bit further away adjacent to the hotel. The area looks very quaint and welcoming. When she stepped into the hotel, the service was 2nd to none. The public area is very clean, well laid out, well lit, quiet, and so is the room. Large, very clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. The bathroom is a bit on the smaller side, but not tiny. I wouldn’t call the room sprawling, but it gives that impression. It is done to a high standard. It is very quiet, and you don’t hear a peep. I used the gym, which has all the basic amenities someone may want. They also have a sauna, which I did not use. Although it is a bit secluded, the Wi-Fi works perfectly well. Not always the case in some instances. The restaurant is quite large, food is the usual fare… But the staff is very responsive, and comes across as very dedicated to making your experience a delightful one. From start to finish, the only downside is that the stay was too short! Must go back!

Beautiful Hotel Campus

We were midway through a vacation and planned to stop at a different city and relax and do laundry. While there were no laundry facilities at the Dorint. The hotel and staff were so amazing and friendly, that we decided to stay there an extra day. Being on the edge of a nature preserve allowed me to go for a couple of runs in the woods. Hotel staff are the best I've ever encountered in 25 years of travel. Would absolutely choose this hotel again if coming back to Frankfurt

We initially planned to stay here 1 night before moving to our next destination in Germany. But the hotel was so exceptional and the staff was so exceedingly friendly and welcoming that we stayed an extra night. We thoroughly enjoyed. Only knock is the dinner buffet was wildly expensive for the quality. But everything else was just magnificent. If you’re coming to the Frankfurt area I would strongly recommend this hotel. It’s quiet, peaceful and backed up to a nature preserve which was excellent for an afternoon run.

I simply will not come here again.

The parking space is down the skirts of the hill. You need to walk climb up the hill with your luggage and everything. The rooom is set to 22 degrees maximum which is not suitable for my comfort.

The hotel was in the middle of nowhere so taxi had cost about €70 from/to the airport. The area was quite nice though and was pretty to look at in the snow, but due to where the hotel was situated, there was nothing to do.

What I didn’t like was the fact we paid extra for early check in at 11am and then maintenance men just walked into our room whilst we were in there. There was clearly miscommunication between staff and this was unacceptable as me and my partner could’ve been doing anything in the hotel room. Then every morning following, housekeeping would just enter the room even with a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door making it extremely pointless, and also making me and my partner on edge if we wanted to be intimate.

Despite the lovely decor, I wouldn’t be making my way back to this hotel any time soon. Staff also tried to recharge me for the entire hotel stay mistakenly when I reminded them I owed them money for early check in. Considering how easy it is to tap a card machine with Apple Pay, luckily I alerted them before making payment otherwise I would’ve paid twice. When leaving, we also owed room service and they was willing to let us leave. As honest people, we informed them, but they seem really unorganised without a clue of what they are doing making it 10x harder for non-German speakers.

This was absolutely a great stay. Everything looks brand new and the main hall, where the bar is located, is all newly built but in a sort of Tudor style which looks stunning and makes for a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and eager to help, breakfast is delicious with a great selection (from fresh fruit to cereal/porridge to bacon, sausages and on-the-spot cooked eggs as you like them). Location also excellent just 10 minutes walk from Oberursel, a great little town with a gorgeous old city centre and quite a few amazing restaurants. Easy to get to Frankfurt too.

When I entered the hotel upon arriving with 3 suitcases, no one referred to help me with it. parking is far from the hotel and does not have a comfortable and lighted access path to the hotel, to arrive the hotel, you have to get off the road on a long and exhausting climb.
There is other parking closer to the hotel but you have to pay for it hourly or daily.
The bartender is very nice, and the hotel is beautiful and very impressive, in a quiet and secluded area.

A lovely surprise

We arrived in Frankfurt on an international flight in the morning and made the easy drive to Oberusel which is a fun little town. We enjoyed exploring and had an excellent lunch, then checked in early at the Dorint Hotel. The location is lovely, in a wooded area. You can choose to park down the hill for free, or pay for closer parking. Staff was very helpful. Room service was speedy and delicious at suppertime. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location in a wooded area with wonderful fresh air. Rooms spacious, well appointed. Bed comfortable. Good bedding. Good block-out drapes. Good air-conditioning. Negative: towels thin and cheapish.
Nice bar. Very good Wiener Schnitzel (you can make it better by not piling it onto the delicious potato/cucumber salad and by serving the lingonberries in a separate dish). Good local beer and short but decent wine list. Service friendly, but at times too absent. Front desk experience mixed: some employees very motivated and customer oriented; other unfortunately not. Negative: Housekeeping does not remove used glasses/dishes/cutlery when cleaning the room. Also the front desk insists on it being the hotel's policy to not replenish instant coffee sachets during a multi-day stay. They will supply only upon specific request by the guest.

Came here recently with my mother and was wholly impressed with the entire place. Great rooms (anything in the states this nice would be nearly twice the price), grounds are peaceful, it’s close to town, and the breakfast buffet is out of this world amazing. Omg! What a great find... Has AC and one of the most well done breakfast area/restaurant/outside seating anywhere. Grounds are beautiful and walkable. Parking is 17E in structure or free lot is a 5 min walk. My new fav hotel in the area with good value pricing. Very clean hotel 2 years old.

A pump pot in the lobby? Just a thought...the restaurant on the lower level is nice but not everyone can sit and enjoy a casual breakfast.

Great new hotel with excellent service

This was a last-minute booking while waiting for our flight. We decided to stay a day in Oberursel to see a friend on a stopover in Frankfurt. When checking in it turned out that I had not paid attention and booked our one night for the correct days in 2018 and not 2017. While it was my mistake, the check in staff was extremely nice and helpful, changed the booking to the correct day and made sure that I talked to Expedia so they cancel the wrong date in 2018. After the overnight flight from NY we took a nap and the bed just felt like heaven! Very nice bathrooms also. Our friends and their kids came to see us at the hotel and we decided to have a bottle of champagne for my friend's husbands birthday and dinner at the bar. The service was very attentive and they even brought a free birthday cake with candles. Then back to the heavenly beds! Before leaving for a 6-hour drive to Austria we had breakfast at the hotel which was another highlight! We started late and I wish we had more time to try all the various delicacies at the buffet before they closed it down! We can highly recommend this place. In less than 24 hours they made an excellent impression on us!

We were on a family trip with a rental car. The Dorint was an excellent place for a stay. Very nice motel, very good food and drink (but pricey). Easy walk (about a mile) into to town. Old German town, good food, shops, local brewery (very good place to eat). All of loved the area and local folks. Not many spoke English.

We were there for a weekend wedding nearby. The hotel is renovated, the rooms were very comfortable, the restaurant terrific and the front desk staff very accommodating. The park setting is lovely and the walking trails wonderful. All in all a great stay. I would recommend you get the breakfast included, since there are no alternatives without driving.

Wir hatten das Comfort Zimmer.
Das Zimmer war groß genug und sauber.

Gestört hat das der Kühlschrank bzw Minibar nich in Betrieb war, mit dem Hinweis auf Umwelt und Sparmaßnahmen sowie der Hinweis darauf das man wenn man was zur kühlung aufbewahren möchte dies ändern Rezeption abgeben könnte zur aufbewahrung.

Negativ fand ich das Brühkaffee und ein kleiner wasserkocher zur Zubereitung ohne Löffel da stand.

Auch das es in den zwei Tagen keinen Zimmer Service gab, nicht mal für frische Handtücher.
