I have stayed at the Hotel Shangri-La in Jakarta on multiple occasions. It is a nice hotel with friendly and professional staff. Breakfast is a great combination of Indonesian, western, and other foods. The pool and children’s water play area make this a great option for those traveling to Jakarta with children.

Exactly what we expected…

My wife and I were impressed when we stayed at the Shangri-La in Cebu and therefore we decided to book another Shangril-La for a brief stay in Jakarta.

We were not disappointed with the service being very good, all staff attentive and the hotel being to a high standard.

The breakfast was again a stand-out part of the stay with a wide selection.

Even though we were not travelling with children, the hotel seems very good at looking after people with kids with lots of things to keep the little ones occupied.

Extreme glamour. Gorgeous lavish rooms, an unthinkable continental breakfast, and impressively large lounge and pool grounds. There are tennis courts, a 24 hour gym, and there was live music in the lounge both nights we were there. The biggest surprise for me was the spa -- there's a full nordic spa circuit that is free to use, complete with hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room. Service was the best I've experienced. Absolutely worth the money.

My favourite hotel since 1995 since i was a teenager until now, i love everything about this hotel, the suite room, the mango pudding, caramel pudding and kue putu mayang (3 years ago they served delicious putu mayang at lunch), several years ago there was a horse in their garden my child love it, good for family, but unfortunately last time we stayed here we didn't get an extra bed, family hotel should provide more extra bed, thank you

We were extremely dissapointed for the service and cleanliness of the room. We request for kids package, and the potty they provide was not clean, the seal of shampoo and soap was broken, the cup for in room dining was not covered.. and when my kids jump on the bed we can spot the dust easily on the air.

The property was absolutely beautiful, I actually felt like I was in an island setting and not in a massive city. Room was fine but nothing fancy like you would expect from a 5-star, Shangrila hotel. The restaurant staff at the Horizon Club was not up to par. We waited 20 minutes for the staff to make our omelets before they even thought to mention to us that they didnt have an ingredient and thats because we had to inquire. They were nowhere to be found (keep in mind we were the only guests in the restaurant), our plates were also pilling up. We decided to put them on the table next to us to make room. They didnt clear the tables while we were there. Everything is in the details, especially when it comes to a \"5-star\" hotel. It was very disappointing. Beautiful hotel but customer service was far from 5 star.

Service level is very high and the staff is very kind and helpful. Our room had a good size with plenty of space and an amazing view. The pool area has a resort feeling with green areas and a big pool. We had dinner at the Italian and Japanese restaurant in the hotel which was really really good and tastey. You could taste that good quality ingredients were used. The only downside is that there were many families during our stay and the breakfast area was VERY noisy with kids running around screaming and playing. Would have been nice with an area more quiet for non kids couples. Please note that there is a mosque next door with loud prayers 4 AM in the morning on speakers and again during day. Thank you to Mr. Romy for his help and the rest of the staff for their hospitality.

Great service for a reasonable price. The kids pool is top notch for older kids (older than 5), but could be a bit overwhelming for a toddler. Their breakfast buffet also provides a variety of great foods (ranging from Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese and continental breakfast).

As a cherry on top, they also partner with a great taxi service (Silver Bird) to take you around the city/the airport.

Amazing hotel! Beautiful room, bed was soooo comfy! Bathroom spacious and lots of water pressure in the shower. The outdoor pool is truly resort-like and the gym has more than you need for a great workout, they even offer fitness, spin and yoga classes! The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet are amazing!

The staff were courteous and very efficient. My daughter left her earphones on the bed and the sheets were changed with the earphones in them. The service leader came with the cleaner to check and look for it. Hours later, they found the earphones and came back with a plate of fruits as a token of their apologies. My daughter and I did not expect them to find the lost earphones and were pleasantly surprised at their good service and diligence to look for it among the piles of sheets that must have accumulated through the whole morning of cleaning. Good job, Basuki!
