The property is very centrally located and great for access to the Old Town and Royal Route. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just note that you are staying in an older building so there are more creaks and older furnishings and not great soundproofing to the outside. I loved the history of the building and the size of the room. However it could use the addition of a fridge.

This adorable hotel is exceptionally well-appointed, offering hotel-level amenities including an elevator and convenient stair access. It features a great balcony with stunning views of the castle and Sigismund’s Column, and is located right next to the Hard Rock Cafe store. Just a small one but it’s nice buy souvenirs only.

If you want to experience living in Poland, this is the place to stay. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk to the Old Town, and the surrounding area is perfect for scenic strolls along the historic fortification walls. You’ll also find charming small cafes offering a wide variety of food, making it an ideal location for both convenience and enjoyment. Your next to the trams center so you may need some earplugs at night. But you can catch the bus or a tram right around the corner. Overall great experience.

Excellent location in a heart of Warsaw in a very historic old building with courteous staff. Fantastic view overlooking the old town. Lots of shops, restaurants and activities within walking distance. It felt as if we were staying at a museum. Strongly recommend especially for history enthusiasts.

Charming stay in the old town

Excellent location at the heart of the old town overlooking the plaza. It's a historic building so it has a lot of character. The elevator is the slowest I've ever used; it tests your patience but that's part of the experience. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Room was cery clean. Front desk people were friendly. We used them for directions and taxi a couple of times and they were very accommodating. From hotel to train station is between 30-40 pln- just fyi. Bolt is between 18-24. Cars are nit allowed in old town so you need to find a spot they can get to you. Yes the elevator is slow and first day we earned some points but then we got better. Ride the elevator and you will know what i mean!

A unique property overlooking the old town square. Very convenient. One VERY SLOW lift to get your luggage to your floor. But hey, it worked.
They no longer offer breakfast, but there are plenty if options close to the hotel.
Finding the entrance on the say of my arrival was my biggest challenge! I stayed 3 nights and probably wouldn't stay longer than that.
The square cn get very noisy at night, especially with motorbikes, so maybe take ear plugs.

The property was excellent for walking around Old Town Warsaw. Step outside the from door and you are in the square by royal castle. Explore old town or walk to the river for a leisurely stroll. Many restaurants and bakeries to choose from. Excellent choice for a stay.

Great location; great views over the square from room. Recommend taking bus from/to airport. Closest bus stop drop off is PL. Zamkowy 01. Short walk from hotel. From hotel Exit right and walk straight, cross over 1st street you meet and keep straight. Will see bus step. You want 175. From airport walk to bus stop exit head left. Get off Zamkoway stop. Exit bus head right. Will end up in square by royal palce. 4 zloty versus 60zloty for taxi. Also, taxi driver tried to charge me 100 zloty for trip from airport. Is 10 zloty/ person plus 5zloty per km. 10km trip

The location is excellent, right at the center of the old town area, making it convenient to walk around easily.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I loved the view from the window, including the pillows provided to sit and relax.

I was disappointed by the lack of breakfast, especially as it states free breakfast included, even when you search the hotel information on google. I also did not care for opening my room door only to see a drying rack with men’s underwear only a few centimeters away from my door.

A great location, right in the middle of Warsaw’s beautiful Old Town and directly opposite the castle, but the accommodation was disappointing for the price - shabby furniture, a flimsy wardrobe with only five hangers ( really? for a double room?) not even a kettle (there is a communal hot water dispenser on the corridor, but it only gives luke-warm water - I had to go out onto the corridor in my pyjamas to get water for early morning tea! We have stayed many times in Warsaw, it’s a favourite place for us, but for the price you can get much better accommodation in just as good a location elsewhere nearby.

We wanted to be right in the middle of things regarding walkability around the Old Town, and this was ideal, at a reasonable price. We stayed for 4 nights in a 3rd floor room which was very large (as was the ensuite bathroom) and immaculately clean. No breakfast facilities, but plenty of places close by for that, so not a problem. Has a quaint but perfectly usable lift, and a generally old fashioned feel, but that adds to its charm being situated where it is. If you don't want a modern concrete and glass box, this is a good choice..

It's a traditional accommodation with olden days elevator which requires one to press and hold the lift for it to move up and down. The room requires a traditional key w key hole to open, not a card. Room toilet has a funny sort of stale smell. Room is not ventilated, will need to open window. Overall an ok accomodation if you want to a go back in time sort of experience. Location is very convenient, right smack inside the city centre.

Location perfect for Warsaw Old Town. Big room and perfect view. Whilst the room was prepared and appeared clean, the toilet itself was not. I registered my dissatisfaction immediately with reception and the gentleman, whilst polite and apologetic, was defensive saying “well this is not a hotel”, therefore implying that standards of hygiene and cleanliness were perhaps not to be expected as one would in a hotel. I think it’s only reasonable to expect at least a basic level of cleanliness and hygiene, especially where the bathroom is concerned. I wouldn’t stay here again and won’t be recommending to anyone.

The property is right in front of The Royal Castle of Warsaw. Mcdonalds is just a few steps away and costa coffee like 2minutes walk. The lift is very old, and it takes 1minute and 20seconds to reach 3rd floor, u just need to have extra patience.

The location is perfect - next to the Old Town and 25 minutes on foot from the Central Train station. Very close to many tourist attractions. Multiple dinning options around. The facility itself is unique. It is not a hotel but not an Airbnb either (there is a reception). It’s like you would rent a room in a house. The room itself was clean. Bathroom a bit dated but ok. Hot water, towels, basic toiletries included. On the down side, which was not a problem for me, but might be for others, is that rooms are on the 3rd floor and the elevator is super slow. I was using stairs as it was quicker for me 😄 I recommend this place for a stay up to one week. It was affordable comparing to other option in this area.

The location of this property is absolutely excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The place is full of character. The furniture, decor and en suite bathroom are dated but I think the great location and level of comfort outweigh these points. We really enjoyed staying there.

The location in Old Town was very convenient. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. However,
the amenities were scanty. Instant coffee or tea in hallway, no milk. Room was not cleaned overnight. The room faced east which means that in early June the sun shone in my face at four in the morning! The curtains were not sufficiently thick to block out the sun.

The room was great. It was clean, modern, quiet and comfortable. We had an amazing view of the city and it was in the center of everything. I was disappointed that the room didn't have a water kettle. Instead they offered hot and cold water stations on the floor. The one nearest us was empty and despite several requests to replace it, they never did. The staff was friendly, but not very helpful or eager to help. Still, I'd stay there again because the room was so nice. The lift was slow but it did it's job

Our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable.asy check in. Breakfast buffet was good and just enough variety Hot and cold foods. Lukasz, a driver from the hotel was there at the airport ready to pick us up. He was very friendly and informative. Also Zbignieh, working at the front desk, Was extremely professional, very nice and helpful.

The location is perfect and you come right out of the door at Old Town. Our room even had a balcony and we were able to watch the New Year celebration of fireworks, which was spectacular and we were able to see fireworks go off all around the city. Warsaw does a beautiful job of decorating the whole city and every shop has Christmas decorations in it and wonderful holiday spirit. We highly recommend this Guest house and we would stay there again on our next visit to Warsaw.

This location is outstanding. Right in old town our room faced into the square. The room was spotless, it’s unfortunate they entrance and check in sea is old an in need of a good clean. We kept thinking if only they painted and changed the lighting this place would be awesome.

This was a comfortable 3-night stay in an apartment hotel. The room was spacious, nice big double bed, TV, big windows with curtains and en-suite shower and toilet. I loved this place. This hotel is located across from the Royal caste (Stare Miasto) in the old city Warsaw. In a walkable distance to many places and well connected with the Warsaw public transport system. There is a direct bus connection (Route 160) from the Warsaw Central Railway station. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They provide an electric clothing dryer (for towels and short size items of clothing). Formally, it does not look like a traditional hotel. True to its name Dom Literatury, it has many books in the hallway and a location that provides free coffee 24h. I liked this "unhotel" style. This hotel is an old building. That is not a minus point at all in my view. In fact, I like such hotels. They also provide good unlimited breakfast at a reasonable cost. The staff are extremely friendly and provide advice upon request. I will stay in this hotel if I return to Warsaw.

Awesome view! Right in the middle of the center

Location was perfect, room was big and the view from our window of the palace and other beautiful buildings was breathtakingly. It would out balance the old, slow elevator up to our floor but it was worth every second up to such a beautiful view on both sides of the room
Breakfast was not too fresh that was the downside. Since is a formal restaurant downstairs it seems that some of the food were leftovers from the previous night. Such salad, breads. I know about these two because they are my favorites to eat.
Administrators staff were respectful and comunícated good.

Rooms with character in the thick of the action

This hotel is right in the heart of the action. I was there on a Saturday night. There was music & crowds in the plaza below until at least 2200. I wasn't sure where the entrance was-- the door was open for the wait staff who were tending to the restaurant customers at tables on either side of the entrance.
The hotel has a lift to take you up to the floor where guest rooms are (or many flights of stairs). The "literary" theme is clear with all the bookshelves in the hall. The room had a nice on-suite bathroom and plenty of room. There was a (weak) hair dryer mounted to the bathroom wall-- I didn't see hair dryer listed as an amenity.

There was tea & coffee (instant) at a table in the hall. Breakfast is at the restaurant which means that service starts at 7:30 most days, but 8am on Sunday. That was too late for me to wait (plane to catch) The fellow at the desk spoke almost enough English to get along.

Right in the heart of the Old Town, yards from some of the most iconic sights in Warsaw, and not too expensive. If you prefer a totally modernised hotel with, eg, air conditioning, minibar and electronic keys, however, you will be disappointed: and the lift to upper floors is undoubtedly the slowest on the planet. You could literally walk up faster.

Superb location, view on the old town, ease of access by bus or tram, spacious room, comfortable bed. Old building and extremely slow elevator but taking the stairs is much quicker. Groceries and restaurants nearby. Bars and clubs further southeast towards the center of Warsaw, easily reachable by bus or a 20 mins walk.
