Loved our short stay at the Ego apartment. Perfect location for walking everywhere. Very clean and well stocked with basic essentials. Little tricky for us first time gettin in through multiple locks and dark stairwell. But after one day we had the codes down and the light switches on. The apartment is very quiet at night and we slept well. Never saw our neighbors but we heard a bark occasionally We felt very safe and ventured out for early mornings walks and evening Chopin concerts. We highly recommend and hope we can return.

The best thing about this apartment is that it is in Old Town, literally steps outside the outer door and you are in the main square. So many historical and important sites and museums are very close and walkable.
That being said: basically, the apartment needs attention and upkeep. It wasn't cleaned well and the overhead shower was broken although the handheld part worked well. The washer worked well.
The check in process was difficult as the main access door electronic code box was not working, but we had to try many times including while talking to the contact on the phone who was not uprised of this situation before our call. Thankfully, there was another access point - but turn on your phone flashlight as there are no lights in the outer areas. It didn't feel unsafe, just couldn't see very well. The pictures they sent for location were not helpful and we think inaccurate. The pictures show a two story building and it is at least a three story strucutre. Our advice: contact the Ego Apartments beforehand and get specific directions and confirmation that all is working and ok.

We (family of 4) had an amazing stay. Everything was new, clean and very spacious. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen fully stocked. It is an excellent location, right in the centre of old town. Loved sitting in the window and looking out the view. Highly recommend.

Great Stay in a Vibrant, Safe Area

The Uber couldn’t drop us right at the door, but left us nearby. The streets are cobbled, so watch your step. There’s quite a bit of graffiti around, but that’s typical for many European cities.

The door code requires all the # symbols and unlocks silently, so at first, I wasn’t sure it had worked — but once the circle turns green, just give the door a push.

The apartment itself was great — clean, spacious, with plenty of room, and the beds were super comfortable. The balcony was small but a nice addition. While there’s no longer a river view, the tall trees outside were pleasant, though starting to feel a bit overgrown. Some plants growing out of the side could use attention.

We came and went at all hours and always felt safe. I used my phone for directions late in the evening (around 10 PM) with no issues walking through the square and back to the apartment.

The nearby fountains were a hit with the kids, and the small 24-hour Carrefour was handy for picking up essentials.

Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. My only small wishlist would be to add more clothes hangers and some weighing scales to help manage suitcase weight before heading to the airport.

The outside of the property was a bit dated and the area was covered with a lot of graffiti. The inside was clean and updated. It was a very spacious apartment and the washing machine was definitely a plus. A quick walk up the stairs across the street will get you to the Old Town Square.

Very clean apartment, easy to find and use keypad for entry. Codes for entry sent on time at 14:30 day of arrival. Shower is huge with rainfall or handheld, also a deep soaking tub with hand shower. Numerous restaurants within walking distance. Communication was excellent with property.

The location is great. The apartment is very worn, the floor is coming apart. The toilet seat is too small for the toilet so it is loose. The directions given before you arrive does not go to the apartment but 2 blocks away, with no directions on how to get to the apartment. We had to wander around and ask strangers for help. They need to give directions from the drop off to the apartment. When we got to the apartment we had to call the manager for help, the directions left in the apartment were wrong. The manager came and was very helpful. She said the instructions were old and needed updating.. only go here if you don't mind an adventure. Comfortable stay.

We never made it into the property because there was absolutely no communication with us. We tried many, many times to contact by phone, email, and even just showing up at the address. There was no one who would take our calls or reply back to us. You can imagine how stressful this can be, visiting a foreign country and you can not find a way to get into the apartment you already booked. We had to book another hotel at 10 pm at night because of this. And then when we requested a refund, they denied us. Expedia did nothing to help except to say it was up to Ego Apartments to give a refund. Stay away from this property! There are plenty of other options of hosts who will better communicate and make sure your trip is stress free. It's not this one!

Perfect in Old Town

This apartment had everything ready and necessary for a three night stay in an Old Town square. View from windows of apartment was the beautiful cathedral with bell tower chiming the hours. The washer came in very handy for travelers needing to wash clothes.
Two caveats: there are no taxis or autos allowed in the street adjacent, so be prepared to walk with your baggage. Also the antique building has a beautiful staircase but no lift to walk up three stories with luggage.

The flat is perfectly located in Warsaw's Old Town, and is close to all main activities and museums. The flat offered all the necessary amenities. The bed was really comfortable and the host was very responsive and with excellent recommendations. Only downside: we noticed that some of the towels in the bathroom were not clean and had visible stains.

Excellent location. Lovely bathroom and was clean. Nice view. Clear info for arrival Other than that would describe as adequate. Stairs are curved and a long way up with luggage. Note this is a studio and the bedroom isn’t actually separate.
Property definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility problems or with young children. Main thing that made me uncomfortable was no fire safety information or equipment at all and couldn’t see any smoke detectors. Only way out is the main staircase. Would benefit from having info on where to take rubbish and recycling. Felt bad leaving it all for the cleaning company. Kitchen isn’t one you could easily cook in but not a problem for us as we were only there for a few days and ate out or brought food in.

The location was very convenient to the old town, but renters should know that taxis won't enter old town. We were dropped off with our suitcases at the bottom of a very long set of stairs up a big hill just below our unit.
The view of the river was spectacular and almost made up for the climb.
The inside needs repairs. The toilet seat slides as does the sink. The plugs are pulling out of the wall. The bathroom needs fixtures for toilet paper and hand towel.
It would have been nice to have hand towels, kitchen towel and a bath mat towel.
It was clean and the beds were nice.

Both places were very clean.We were given the apartment address and were told there were 20 steps to it which was OK. Before we checked in we were told of the address which was different from the original and when we got there it was 42 steps so was a different place. We text Ego apartments and they apologized about a mix up so we were given another place so we moved. This place was about 20 steps but neither had a river view which was stated on the description. The 2nd place had no bedside tables and on looking at pics of Ego places it cleverly doesnt show the bed just a sideways on view from the kitchenette across the room. We feel that pics on hotel.com site are deceiving as we booked the design apartment but didnt get what we expected. They also had 3 security codes to get in and we found the entrances confusing. Both were very clean but no wiping up cloths for the dishes and only 1 towel each. They were both convenient as they were in Warsaw Stare Miasto and very quiet.

Easy to find, they have very thorough instructions. Location was beautiful, right in the heart of old town Warsaw. The apartment itself was nice, however, it was very hot. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early because the temp was so uncomfortable. Reached out to the owner and told him we were leaving a day earlier and if it was possible to at least have a partial refund and got no answer.

The property doesn’t have a check in, which isn’t an issue unless you arrive in town early. You will have to store your luggage. They give good directions to find it. The place needs a good cleaning. It’s dusty, dead bugs, surfaces need to be wiped. Furniture is not great and somewhat dirty. However the location is good, and it has a washing machine for longer trips.

Would be good to tell people it’s up 60 flights of stairs. Fine for us but might be tough for some.

Bad WiFi that went in and out.

We wanted to use the kitchen more but there were no napkins or dish towels for cleaning up or eating.

It is really buggy near the river. Window screens would help - there were a lot of bugs in the apartment.

The location of this apartment was right on the square of old town. We walked clear across town to the Samsung building for dinner and all around. The apartment was clean with comfortable beds. Everything worked except the coffee machine. I appreciate the free bottle of champagne.

Lovely view and apt - access was difficult

This apartment is well located in Old Town, within walking distance to a great many attractions - New Town, Barbican and the Royal Route.

It is outfitted well, has a great view, and is really well located for access to Old Town, which is a fairly touristic area.

The problems are lack of transportation to the building address and the 60 steps up to the apartment from the ground floor of the building.

Important: my experience was that Uber drivers did not drop off or pick up at the address. It's unknown whether taxi drivers can do so.

The street the apartment is located is a bit difficult to find, and requires a significant hike up to Old Town from the street. It was a trek up to the address and then a further hike up the 60 stairs.

This is probably not a good location if a traveler has heavy luggage. One of the wheels on my suitcase was ripped off and lost on my trek back down to the street on my departure.

don't believe the hype

the smell in the building is HORRIBLE. gets in the room yoo if u open the window. its from the restaurant... made me sick every time i went in and out. oh and theres no 'river view' , tree or no tree. i stayed at the 'design apartment' on Rynek Starego Miasta 26. owner not very communicative on whatsup ( one time didn't answer at all). the only thing going for that place is the location inside the old town. if it wasnt for that, i would ask for my money back

Everything was good. The place was as described a nice big place.

The only issue was that the front door was locked and while we got a code to use, it wasn’t linked to the front door in any way. When calling the number given, we were first told to push the door hard to get it open and then to ask the restaurant to either open the door. They did but it happened repeatedly as we were coming in an out and coming back late and ultimately we had to really push the door to open it which disturbed the other people living in the same block. Disappointing. Please fix it for the future as the place is nice otherwise and the location is perfect.

One of the best places in the city. Right in the heart of old town. The apt was clean, everything accessible. Beautiful bathroom, big living room, nice kitchen. The only thing, we would have liked to have was couple of bottles of water when we arrived. But fortunately the grocery was next door. Absolutely recommend this place. This is a great property. Everything was clean and pretty new. The beds were comfortable and great views from all the windows. The location is unmatched. It is close to all the fun, but the block away made it a quiet retreat. Our flight time was canceled, and they rebooked us on an earlier flight which got us to Warsaw at 6:00 am. We were concerned about what we were going to do with all our luggage for the morning. We contacted the host, and they had no other bookings the night before and let us move in right away. Great place, a great host, book this place. You will not be disappointed. The place is better than the pictures.

It's ok for a night or two

Excellent location, clean, ok standard. Not a fan of it being on top of a restaurant, there is ongoing smell of cooking in the building and in the appartment (although less so in the appartment). Also, unpleasant smell from the pipes in the toilet. Finally, the idea of having a shower gel on the bathroom floor is puzzling when you book a modern appartment. No place to put your soap or to hang towels, not well-thought. It's ok, not great.

Absolutely charming place, best location in all of Warsaw, close to restaurants old town and castle, tour bus stop, meteor, taxi rank.close to everything but in a quiet peaceful square. Good Central Hideaway

Apartment is lovely, spacious and extremely quiet even though it's just a 3 minute walk to the main square. Very comfortable beds with warm duvets. Loved the little balcony. Only negatives is that under the beds hadn't been cleaned before our arrival and that I had to chase the rental company for the access code -but this was then sent immediately. Would definitely stay here again.

Since it's a corner apartment, the views in 3 directions are gorgeous day and night. There is no elevator to this 3rd floor apartment, but it's worth the effort for the view

Avoid during a heat wave

The apartment was very spacious with a large bed, a small but sufficient kitchen area, and a table with 2 chairs. The bathroom was spacious but lacked counter space to keep my toiletries, there was no place to hang my clothes, and the shower lacked anyplace to put the soap and shampoo other than the floor. But the biggest problem which made my stay quite uncomfortable is the lack of air conditioning. When I was there the temperature was 96 degrees F / 36 degrees C outside, and pretty much the same inside. Despite the fan it was extremely uncomfortable.

Con: Internet (you get only 8 GB initially. Although they recharge the pay-as-you-go router, the transition isn’t smooth. I wasted an hour to reconnect to internet, causing loss of sleep), bathroom smelled like sewage, shower stall was way too small, toilet commode was basically next to the bathroom wall, making your personal business very uncomfortable, bedroom was small, No sound proof (you can hear dogs in the next door barking at 2:30 am, echoing noises in the hall way, and people talking out in the street.)

You'll Be More Comfortable in a Public Restroom

This place looked nothing like the pictures and was considerably more run down. We traveled all over Europe, ended our trip at Ego Apts. It was supposed to be one of the nocer places we stayed, but it was not even close to the others, it was gross. The place smelled, the sink didn't swallow, it felt unsafe and the linens/silverware/amenities were low quality. When we complained and tried to show them the broken sink, they were combative and defensive. The entire experience with them was so bad that I just gave up the money and went to a different hotel. Would highly not recommend

Apartment was clean and located near the Old Town Rynek ( market square). It's compact but includes all the necessities, including a washing machine and reliable WiFi. Keyed access from the outside is easy without codes but safe with 2 different keys for gate and door. The ML shops for a wide range of well priced grocery items, fruits, and vegetables are across the street, easy to stock up for the day. Check in and out times were flexible and accommodated my transport schedules.

Fantastic apartment for a family!

The apartment was in the heart of Warsaw. Beautifully renovated, super comfortable, and perfect for a family. Everything went very smoothly . Highly recommend!

Perfect location, perfect room! Just remember; it has many stairs to get there. But, room is fantastic! Little kitchen, very nice bathroom, comfy bed... loved it!

Absolutely fabulous

We absolutely recommended this apartment. It's very clean, you have there everything what you need for few days stay in Warsaw. Is located just 200 meters from Old Town.

Happy solo traveller

Welcoming friendly staff, any need was not a problem. I felt part of a family not just a guest. The apartment was well equipped and very close to the main square in the old town. The bed was very comfortable! Refrigerator was big. The washing machine was a dream with wading powder supplied. Security to the complex and apartment was great and as an elderly solo traveler I felt really safe not only in the apartment but in the old town. Shop only 20 meters away. I wold gladly recommend this place as well as value for money.

This property was conveniently located in old town Warsaw and within walking distance to main attractions. The restaurants near the apartment were delicious, authentic polish cuisine and recommended by the host.
The view from this apartment is beautiful and the hosts were wonderful!

**the only really bad thing about this apartment was the horrible odor in the small bathroom. It was obviously some type of sewer smell and problem. We left a day early because the smell was unbearable and ade the entire apartment smell bad.

Shower stall leaked. Pillows were uncomfortable and small. Location was fabulous. Owner was helpful.

The property is in a really nice area and very central. The staff were very pleasant and the room was nice. However, the word kitchen was a bit of an overstatement, which for us was fine but not if you were expecting to be able to cook, and there was only one bowl for breakfast!
The toilet rocks slightly when you sit on it.
There are building works outside the window, and despite us being told that they were basically finished we got to woken up at 7:30 each morning by the works.
