Clean, well designed room. Fridge, washing/dryer machine and dishwasher are useful. A/C and heating was efficient. Well situated, about 10 minutes walk to the tube and the train. Borough market is less than 5 minutes away. Would go back without hesitation.

The room is good size, modern design with cabinet included. The washroom is difficult to access through the sliding door. Light fixtures have a life of their own, turning on and off randomly. Room isn’t cleaned during the stay, only fresh towels provided upon request. Location is excellent, easy access to Borough Market services.

Pros: Great location, convenient rooms, nice shower, cool lighting, laundry included. Cons: Beds were stiff and pillows were thin. Our toilet had a minor leak, and we alerted staff on the first day but it was never fixed. Room had no natural light. No outlets near mirrors, so styling hair was difficult.

I give this stay 4 stars because the location was perfect for a long weekend in the city, but if we had wanted to spend more time in our room, we would have been disappointed.

Great location as a base to explore. Walking distance to Borough market and London Bridge station. Countless food options within walking distance. Friendly and helpful front desk staff (particularly Izzy) guided us in the right direction and suggested food spots. Our room could use a touch up (various scuffs and flaked paint on walls, air vent cover was missing, etc.). The hotel could also have vending options for water, drinks, snacks, etc. You have to leave the property to pick up a drink which sucks when it’s pouring rain. All-in-all I would suggest a stay.

The room was pretty clean although with a few signs of being lived in and not cleaned properly. The bathroom sink didn't drain properly and the water never got fully cold from the tap (probably due to the cold and hot lines being next to each other). We were also woken in the night by other guests coming back to their rooms due to the walls being quite thin.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Native Bankside and we enjoyed our stay there. The location was great, staff were friendly, the room was very spacious and clean, and there was a well organized kitchen in the room. Only downside is there are no views in the room but the spaciousness of the room made up for it.

We returned to Native Bankside in January 2026 for 1 night only (previous stay was in 2019). Sadly this accommodation is not what it once was. We stayed in a One-bedroom \"Premium\" Apartment but it was anything but. The primary problems were with the condition and cleanliness of the apartment, some examples were - stained and filthy dining chairs, balls of hair on the floor, a blocked dishwasher which was smelly, a cracked cooking hob, threadbare/tatty carpets and skylight blinds (providing the only natural light in the living area) which didn't function. We were also disappointed to find that the communal pantry that was previously offered is now an empty \"lounge\". Unfortunately either time or the ownership change has not been kind to this property and we would not recommend or return.

The heating/air con in the room was quite hard to control or get just right, but overall our stay was very comfortable and easy, and we were near lots of restaurants/pubs and easy onward travel around the city.

Room was modern and finished to a very high standard compared to most hotels around the London Bridge / Park Street area. The addition of a little kitchenette was useful. It’s a great location for both business or as a tourist. Staff very helpful too. There is no food or drink options on site so you do need to venture towards Borough Market if you want breakfast / food options.

The oven didnt work, the room lights went off (guessing sensor related) while i was reading my book in the evening and the bathroom lights and shower went off while i was washing my hair in the morning trying to get to a meeting. Not sure if electric wiring/water faults or overzealous cost saving/environmentalism, but either way, won't be back. Very frustrating.

Native Bankside is my new ‘go to’ place to stay in London. Great location near Borough Market and tube stations. Close to the river and the river taxi. The studio provides everything needed for a short stay - tea, coffee, milk etc - better facilities than other similar places we stayed previously. The staff are great, we arrived before check in and got immediate access to our room and they stored our luggage on the day we left. I left my reading glasses in our room and they kindly called me to let me know. Full marks all round! We will return.

The location, building & room itself were lovely. The bathroom was a wetroom made for wheelchair access - we had not requested this - and the shower water went everywhere, the entire floor flooded. When we asked about it we were told they were fully booked and they’d leave towels in our room for us to put on the floor. No towels ever appeared. It was noisy during the night with what sounded like industrial bin emptying.

Although this hotel is really near Borough Market, it is situated on a quiet side street. The room met all expectations. It was not overly large, but it was fully equiped and had modern, superior grade fittings. We used the kitchen daily and could not find any deficits. We have already booked our next stay.

This is a clean, beautiful, spacious oasis is the midst of an otherwise teeming, bustling part of London.
The quiet and out of the way street it's on is a sanctuary and a welcome getaway between the excitement of Borough Market and the Thames waterfront atrractions like Tate Modern. Would definitely stay again.

Ok hotel but not for those seeking a gym

I selected this hotel based on the Gym facility advertised. It is a total lie. The hotel is a new modern, industrial type hotel that gives you great sized rooms, however, for them to advertise a gym, is a lie. They have a tiny room in the corner of the third floor that has only 1 rower, 1 multi workout type pulling machine and a 1 Peloton bike, that doesn’t even have a property account on it. You are expected to use your own Peloton account. Honestly, for a gym goer looking to stay here based on seeing it show up as a hotel with a gym, avoid it! If you are looking for simple accommodations with a large room, then you will be fine. Most of the staff are friendly, minus this one Asian guy that walks around with a nasty look on his face when he see’s hotel people. I am not sure why he works at an hotel if he is going to be rude. You don’t have to smile at everyone but don’t roll your eyes and act like you are better than the guests. You are there to do a job, not to be rude. He probably should be let go. Even this one older lady that was distracted on her phone when I first checked in was super sweet. However, please tell whomever you are on the phone with you will call them back if you see people coming in to check in. Haha, it is ok to fill in your time with personal calls/texts when you have down time but at check in time, please help us right away.

Absolutely wonderful service. Front of house was fantastic. I arrived incredibly early and thought I'd ask if I could store my case, my room was ready and I was able to check In before 11am, allowing me time to shower and freshen up before heading out to meetings. I would wholeheartedly stay here again.
The apartment was spotless with everything you could possibly need. Thank you for a wonderful stay x

Great location, away from the crowds of central London, but very easy to get to all the sites.
Steps from the Globe Theater, one block from the Tate Modern, up the street from the Thames River and the Uber Boat (fabulous !) stop.
Room was perfect, nicely equipped kitchenette with top shelf appliances. Very nice bathroom with a great shower.
Hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating.
Fabulous little cafe, Crosby and Hope, right next door, with great coffee and breakfast & lunch menu (not opened on weekends). They have the loveliest staff - we ate there every day.

The property is clean and the staff are very helpful! Great location. Lots of restaurant nearby. Grocery and convenient store are nearby. Borough Market and St Patricks Cathedral are just miles away. The only negative comments I have: 1) The space between the bed is very tight. I keep bumping the edge of the bedframe and I have bruises in my legs. 2) The kitchen is great with stove, refrigerator, oven and microwave. The only problem are the pots and pans are not non stick. But we managed. Other than that, everything is great and Inwould recommend the hotel.

Absolutely faultless stay. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly, helpful, and flexible to our individual needs. The room (a small studio) was perfect for 2 people and a real home from home. It was spotless, very well equipped, extremely comfortable, and silent at night. The AC was effective but not obtrusive like most hotels. The central location is excellent with plenty of pubs, restaurants and things to do. There's a choice of tube stations a short walk away, and an Uber boat pier at the end of the lane. One of the most enjoyable stays of my life. Will 100% stay here anytime I'm in London now. Thank you

Loved the location, very easy to walk to key tourist sites. The convenience (and cost savings) of having a kitchen to do breakfasts and a few suppers was amazing. 3 different groceries nearby (Marks & Spencer, Amazon Fresh, and COOP). The washer/dryer was so useful and easy to use. Property and rooms were modern, simple, elegant and clean. Loved it.

The property and location was great but we had some hiccups on our trip. The elevator to the 7th floor was broken so we had to carry our suitcase from 6th floor to 7th and it was not working the entire trip. The fire alarm also went off at 4:30am so we had to walk up and down 7 flights of stairs. It will be a very memorable trip.

We loved this location for its accessibility to everything via foot, e-bikes, and trains! The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The small complaint was a shower that didn’t drain and forced us to stack up towels so we didn’t floor our bathroom …. They never fixed it for the 5nights we were there. Other than that though, I’d highly recommend!

The location of hotel is right outside the heart of Borough Market so lots of people ! Great buzz ! Right by the Thames and lots of restaurant.
The hotel is located off the main road so after 5:00 very few people go past it so very quiet and safe.
Room had a nice kitchen area with good quality fridge and small freezer

Bed was fine.
It has a very industrial feel
Would def stay again next time I need to be in that area.
Price was very competitive- booked at short notice.

This aparthotel was perfect. Able to make breakfast every morning and the evenings we were too tired to eat out the fantastic M&S food is 2 blocks away. Fresh towels every day. Everything to make a home away from home. Southbank location is London at its finest. Steps from Thames. So many sights. Convenient to tube/bus/bridges. Lots of restaurants on Queens Walk. And Borough Market! I have stayed in many places in Southwark, South Kensington , Notting Hill. This is where I will go from now on. Grandchildren in London so I’ll be back!

Love the Comfort and Location.

This was our second stay at Native Bankside. We love the location and comfort of the rooms. We were in a one bedroom with sitting area, kitchen and washer/dryer. We love the comfort the room provides and that we can get some cheese or rose from Borough Market and refrigerate back in the room and do some laundry mid-trip. The proximity to Borough Market and the Tube Stations as well as the Tate we like. We enjoy a breakfast/coffee next door at Crosby and Hope on weekdays before exploring.

I gave communication an average score because I was very disappointed that a week prior to check-in they sent me an email to say they were bumping us from our 1 bedroom apartment to a studio because of overbooking. I had booked it 8 months prior. After communications, we got our 1 bedroom apartment. It was disaapointing to have to have those communications.
Once there, it was fantastic .. location brilliant, quiet, friendly staff - Mo and Iva on the desk were great.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay ... after a shaky start!
Would highly recommend.
