This accommodation is perfectly adequate with a great location for amenities and everything that London has to offer. We had a basic room with private bathroom and although the decor is a little basic/tired, it was clean and comfortable with extras in the room - kettle, plenty of tea, coffee, milk (noteworthy, as you often have ask for more!) and toiletries. Helpful, polite staff and on requesting a couple of extra pillows, they were given to us straight away. There was a wonderful breakfast choice, though there is a queue to get in, worth noting if you are in a hurry. I wonder if there is a way that this could be improved? We stayed for one night and would definitely stay again.

Great accomodation for the price. I had a single room with a shared bathroom with one other room but that was unoccupied so I had it to myself. The building isn't particularly up to date in terms of appearance or facilities but it did just fine (reasonable given the price paid for a central location). Didn't eat breakfast but it looked good. I slept well in the bed. No major issues or anything, would stay again.

This is a great low cost option for summer travelers. The staff are great, the breakfast is generous, the room was clean (albeit old), and the location is fantastic! My biggest complaint were the beds. The mattresses were springy and terrible. We also had a problem with noise outside since many party goers were staying for carnival, but that wasn’t the property’s fault. Overall good value for money, just wish the beds has been more comfortable.

I absolutely loved my stay. I happened to have gotten a bathroom in my room and it was very clean and had everything I needed from clean towels, to shampoo and soap. I slept very well, the bed was clean and well made and the breakfast next day was great!

The service, the staff and security nice people. The breackfast is outstanding for the price! If you want air-conditioned splendour then this is not for you. If you don't want to spend a fortune but want to be centrally located then it does the job. Unfortunately our stay coincided with a really hot spell and the building was rather warm, but reception provided a fan which helped at night (but we wouldn't have been much cooler at home!). Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was surprisingly good with lots of choice (we enjoyed the fresh fruit, muesli and toast). Be warned, it was full of school parties who seemed to clog up public areas, but there was still plenty of room in the dining area and we weren't aware of any noise at night. So not a place for a luxury stay, but ideal for a few nights in a brilliant, central location (i.e. short walk from the Millenium Bridge).

The hotel is easy to find, staffs are friendly and helpful, I have family from America with me so we do need to filled in the passports information to register, the form is simple and straightforward. When we got into the Room layout is good and plenty of space from soaps, shampoo and tea, coffee..... make you feel very relaxed.
The location of the hotel most likely in the centre of London and around 10 - 15 minutes walk to nearest underground and very close to the River walk. Peace of mind that there's always someone at the reception 24/24 so Safe and sound.

If I had known about this place earlier, I would have stayed here with my family during our time in London. It’s clean, safe, has a great staff, and is in an excellent location—honestly, better than a hotel. Don’t waste time searching—just stay here! Highly recommended.

The room was functional, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The decor was a little tired. The breakfast was amazing, good quality food and plentiful. The staff were super, I had one small problem which was dealt with quickly, efficiently and in a very nice manner. I would have given 4.5 stars if possible, only knocking .5 off because the decor was dated and tired. This will now be my 'go to pkace' for trios to London. It is situated opposite the Tate Modern on the South Bank only a 5 mins walk from the Blackfriars station.

All things considered, the noise level was *ridiculous* with music blaring in the front courtyard until after 2:00 in the morning, after which the party moved to the hallways with doors slamming until 3-3:30. Breakfast was absolute chaos during this time (we skipped it our second morning and paid to eat out rather than deal with it). A fire alarm going off early one morning, during which we needed to evacuate, was a lovely touch.
After those first two nights, the partiers checked out and things settled down. The rest of our stay was what we expected based off pictures and other reviews.
My advice: if you're unpretentious and you are looking for a simple place to keep your stuff and sleep at the end of the day, this can be a great option...just avoid this place during Carnival.

Very convenient, easy stay at this hotel which functions as dorm rooms outside of summer. A 4 min walk to the Globe Theater, next door to Tate Modern, and maybe a 10 minute walk to Borough Market or Bankside Station, this place is in the heart of the action. There is no ac. Windows do open, but construction outside was noisy. Breakfast was busy and you were served buffet style so you couldn’t skip the line or control the size of your servings. With all this in mind, I would absolutely stay again. I was traveling alone, yet felt safe outside walking back from a very late dinner (after a 7:30 show at the theater, so around midnight) at night. The important parts are mastered beautifully by this property, and the front desk personnel were knowledgeable and very friendly.

Revisiting uni, but don't stay in hot season
the first day it was 85 degrees outside and where we stayed on the sun side of the 6th floor was stifling hot. The window opens only a crack at the top and there is no bathroom vent fan, so it was unbearable--too hot to sleep until 2am even dampening our night clothes. We felt so ill the next day, we couldn't swallow much breakfast and had to give up our sightseeing plans until afternoon. We thought to ask if there were loaner fans and were given one, but wish it could have been situated by the cracked window. The fan helped, and the weather cooled, so the next night we slept better. It was farther from train stations than we thought from the reviews, and being across the river, there were less choices for transportation than we were used to on previous visits to london. We read wonderful reviews about breakfast. You queue up down the hall until you reach the cafeteria, where workers scooped your hot beans, a meat choice and an egg choice onto your plate. . The fried eggs were sometimes embedded with shells and the scrambled eggs unappetizingly the texture of soft custard. Then there were cereals and drinks at two long counters, self serve. the long tables were packed elbow to elbow with about 100 people, mostly families, eating and talking various languages. The food was institutional cafeteria and plentiful. The workers seemed tired and even annoyed at the hundreds of guests.

Exceeded our family expectations. I initially got a lot of grief from my family about this booking being in college dorm rooms—but they all agreed after our stay that it was an excellent deal based on price & location. Beds were fine & rooms were clean. No AC, but it was comfortable enough with windows open (and we stayed on an hot night). Included breakfast was great. Only complaint overall was that shower was pretty tiny. But we would happily stay again.
