Be prepared to carry all your luggages by yourself all the way to SECOND floor, use stairs to be precise.

Be prepared to feed your breakfast to a cat as cat would climb on the table. I don’t mind cats but sharing my food with cats on a same plate sounds a little unhealthy.

I was severely underwhelmed with my stay at Elegant Hotel. From the moment I got there and noticed the wifi did not work. To the subpar breakfast which should have been advertised as nothing more than a little bit of cheese and pastrami. The bathroom had a very disgusting odour and there was no fan. I told the front desk there was no fan and they said “there is” I asked where and he said he would turn it on. There was no fan. The smell as soon as we got there from the bathroom was horrendous they need to check for mould. The shower was dirty and the shower head worked poorly. The faucet had two modes. Extremely powerful or minimal pressure. On the brightside, the room was tidy. The balcony was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The biggest issue I had with my room (106) was the WiFi. There was no connection and in a very specific part of the room, one bar of connection to the wifi. I had to sit in the lobby with my wife to download shows for us to watch and to just simply use the wifi. I had inquired about the weak wifi with the staff and got a blunt response of “there is wifi in all rooms” and then one of the staff members went upstairs and came back down and said there is wifi. He blamed my phone as the problem but all our devices had the same issue. They advertise a sauna and spa and there was none of that. We had set aside a few hours of our day looking forward to utilizing their facilities advertised but were unfortunately mistaken. Very unfortunate part of my trip:/

The owner of the property and his son Salih was very helpful and very kind. Even though they couldn’t speak fluent English but managed to communicate. Very nice staff members and the guy who helped with luggage.every time you sit in the lobby you get free tea 😊.property is very clean and nicely built , rooms and very spacious.I had double bed room but was very big with a seperate living/dressing area within the room.Eyup sultan turbesi/mosque is hardly 5 mins walk . Excellent in every way I would say.the only trouble we had was getting a taxi as this area always have issues with getting taxi on the Bitaksi app. So we walked towards the main road and got taxi after 5 -10 mins of standing there. Overall experience was excellent, I did not have breakfast so don’t know about the food but will definitely stay here and would recommend to others too.

Safe and calm place to stay in Istanbul.

If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in a very safe part of Istanbul, I would highly recommend this hotel. There are lots of restaurants all around, and this is a more conservative part of Istanbul, which I found refreshing. Everyone at the hotel was very hospitable. And the price was great. Also, there is a commuter train nearby which get you closer to the main parts of Istanbul.

On July, 6th 2021 I booked a room through Expedia to stay at The Elegant Hotel for me and my Fiancé while touring Istanbul. I had one week booked through Expedia. Expedia did not have listed on their website prior to booking that you needed to present a marriage certificate in order to stay in this hotel. I checked in at the desk and they gave me a room key, I didn’t use the room but waited outside at a local restaurant where my Fiancé’ shortly met me. We walked back to the hotel to head to our room for the night when we were stopped and asked to present a marriage certificate.

Needless to say they wouldn’t allow us to go to the room that we had a key for after I had already checked in and they gave me a key. We were put in a really tough situation with no place to stay and now short on money due to this. I asked for a refund and they said I had to contact with Expedia, Expedia denied my refund due to their \"Early Check out policy\" , I did not stay at this hotel or use any of their services. We were not permitted to stay due to their marriage rules, these rules were not stated prior to booking this hotel on Expedia. The Elegant hotel took my money, checked me in and checked me out within 2 hours without any refund and without us ever stepping foot into a hotel room. I am disputing the charge with my bank now. I do not recommend this hotel if you're American they are extremely rude and make sure you feel unwelcomed. The off street parking is impossible.

Amazing place to stay if you're looking to explore the spiritual side of Istanbul. For those who wish to visit the tomb of Hz. Abu Ayyub Ansari R.A., this hotel is a convenient 5 minute walk away. Nice neighborhood market close to a minute walk away. And here's the bonus tip: the prices for some of the items in the market (like Turkish Delight, or Tea Sets etc.) are lesser compared to other renowned attractions such as Egypt Bazaar or the Grand Bazaar. Would definitely recommend and go stay there again.

We had a nice stay but the tv was too far from the bed and we couldn’t connect the hdmi. The bathroom was too close to the bed. It was huge place with lots of modern touches. Nice stay tho.

Bell boy did not help to pit luggage.
Very bad experience.
Will never stay again and don't recommend others to stay there.
Before check out they behave badly and called many times to check out.
For not give extra one hour to pack the bags.

A wonderful hotel whose staff goes the extra mile

The hotel is impeccably clean and the location is perfect for those who wish to visit the surrounding Eyup Mosque. The hotel staff is friendly and generous. They made the extra effort to meet my family's needs (early check-in, ordering of food, taxis). The staff can speak English well too. I highly recommend this hotel to visitors coming to Istanbul. As compared to other hotels in Istanbul, the bedroom size is bigger and cozy. WIFI worked superbly well. Thank you very much Elegant Hotel! Kolay Gelsin!

Booked this hotel based on reviews on Expedia.

I have chosen this hotel based on others reviews here on Expedia.
To my surprise, my experience has been different in a way.
First of all, I would like to thank one of the staff Umer or Omar who I found very friendly and really helpful. Thank you very much, Omar.

I booked an attic single room for 10 days and I shall start with the good points:
First, the building itself looks new. The room had a single bed (it could take a double bed easily) but that was exactly what I booked so I was happy with that. It was clean and it didn't smell bad at all. The whole building is very clean and nice.

The bad points now:
I stayed in that room for 10 days and there was no working A/C for 8 days. I did ask Staff and Expedia and all I was told was that there is electricity shortage due to construction. No apologies, no sorry nothing.
The room was at the top of the building so it gets very hot during the day. I really did not enjoy my stay there at all mainly due to that reason.

- There is no \"do not disturb\" signs! Cleaners got into the room while I was sleeping once and while I was in the toilet the other time.
- There was a smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, with no A/C it was not too pleasant.
- People smoked at the front of the hotel which then goes to the hotel rooms.
- The room was noisey. I asked Staff if i could get another room facing backward, they said yes but you'll have to pay us.
- There is no easy access to trasnportation. The easiset way was to use the bus

Best place to stay for exploring Eyup area

The hotel is very new and in a brilliant location for exploring the Eyup area. It is an especially brilliant place to stay during Ramadhan and ideal for travellers wanting to get a feel for the spiritual side of Istanbul as it is so close to the Eyup Camii (Eyup Mosque). The whole Eyup area is bustling in Ramadhan, while the Mosque is a tranquil ocean of peace and beauty.
The restaurant staff, led by Huseyn, were very professional, very friendly and the food was brilliant.
I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you to everyone at The Elegant Hotel. the owner, his family, all the staff.
I hope to visit Istanbul and stay at your hotel again in the future. Highly recommend for families, travellers visiting the sacred sites of Istanbul, visiting sahaba etc.

Welcoming staff made you feel at home

Very clean and modern hotel. Staff are extremely helpful and hospitable. Loved the location. Quiet and peaceful.

We stayed in a loft room which gave beatiful views of the city and you could clearly hear the call to prayer five times a day. The room had a balcony which was pretty much secluded and absolutely lovely to relax and admire the area.

We were the first to use the sauna and hamam which was a fabulous experience. This is booked for total private use for families so we felt very comfortable and relaxed.

Highly recommend this hotel for muslim families. No alcohol served and food 100% Halal.

Amazed how close the hotel it to Eyup Sultan mosque. We enjoyed lovely evening strolls around the area and great ice-cream.

Lyxigt, rent och perfekt läge nära Balat och lokal

The Elegant Hotel levde verkligen upp till sitt namn. Rummet var rent, bekvämt och kändes lyxigt för priset. Personalen var alltid vänlig och hjälpsam, och frukosten hade bra variation och fräscha alternativ varje morgon.

Läget är fantastiskt – bara en kort promenad till Balat och många historiska sevärdheter. I området finns flera små butiker, kaféer och en historisk stenugn, Tarihi Taş Fırın, där man kan köpa nybakat bröd och traditionella turkiska bakverk – verkligen värt ett besök.

Det finns också gott om bussar i närheten som går direkt till Şişli, Taksim och Eminönü, så det är enkelt att ta sig runt i hela Istanbul.
Ett elegant, prisvärt och bekvämt hotell som kombinerar bra standard med ett genuint lokalt område. Jag kommer definitivt tillbaka hit.

Perfect place with good area

Very nice place to live in eyup sultan.
Very beautiful hotel and clean.
Right inn the heart of eyup Sultan.
Food, cafe shopping. Everything is nearby,
I did not se any alcohol in this area, so we enjoyed this place very much.
Very close to eyup sultan masjid, so we went there many times.
The hotell stuff is not so good in english, but they will try ther best to help you anyway.
It was a very good hotel, and will come back again. Those who want to live at a islamic vibe hotel should come her.
It only takes 30 min with buss tram and you are at sultan Ahmed etc.

Mosque eyup magnifique endroit

J’ai trouvé mon séjour fantastique. L’hôtel est très bien placé près de la mosquée de Ayoub et d’une rue piétonne plein de commerçants et d’artisans. J’adore cet endroit, il y a le téléphérique tout proche et l’hôtel est super beau grande chambre très spacieuse, le personnel adorable, cinq étoiles

Geçen sene Ramazan ayında yine aynı odada konaklayip çok memnun kalmıştık. Eyüp Sultan Camiine 5 dk uzaklıkta, temizliği, sahur için verilen kahvaltılığı, güler yüzlü çalışanıyla bir kez daha mutlu ayrıldık. Teşekkürler..
