The only thing good with this hotel was available parking. The entire hotel is not clean. Both of the rooms I booked had no towels. While at front desk, two other guest were asking for towels as well. When I got home, I realized during check in my ID was not retuned. I tried to get a hold of them so they could mail to me but they NEVER answered the phone. Book wisely.

You get what you pay for

Unless you were just looking for a place to sleep, do not book this hotel. It is old, dated, rundown, and not very clean. The front desk clerk is downright rude. Its location is good. But that is the only thing to recommend about it. The housekeeping staff appreciates tips and cleaned our room well after leaving 50 pesos.

El lugar es sencillo y por el precio creo es razonable, no son las camas más comodas y le falta mantenimiento a muchas cosas, ya que aunque funcionales se ve que ha pasado tiempo y no se le ha dado la atención.
Al llegar una chica atendio y fue muy amable y estaba atenta, pero al caer la noche se quedó un varón que tuvimos que esperarlo mucho tiempo para que atendiera, no se encontraba nadie en el lobby y no nos ayudó a despacharnos.
El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, a dos calles de la catedral y a 5 minutos de la alameda, entonces es bastante conveniente.
En general, por el precio creo que esta ok.

Very good location, ok Cleanliness. Very poor maintenance, seems like the last time there was a maintenance or upgrade was DECADES ago. Was not expensive but neither cheap. You are NOT getting what you pay for.
Because of the location and the beauty of the building this place could be great if they keep up with the cleaning, upgrading and maintenainance.

This Hotel has an excellent location, it is near to shopping, restaurants and interesting places to visit, is in downtown of Saltillo, you can walk everywhere and iit is mostly safe, BUT, THE HOTEL NEEDS A TOTAL OVERHAUL... THE MATRESS IN THE ROOM I STAYED WAS AT LEAST 20 YEARS OLD AND FILTHY, stained, I had to put layers of clean sheets to be able to sleep in there, the pillows have to be thrown away and put new ones, needs paint and cleaning, There is no heat in the rooms so you have to use blankets an it does get cold in the winter since Saltillo is very high above sea level, all the bedding has to be changed, sheets and blankets are VERY OLD AND DIRTY, STAINED... You have to ask for clean sheets and check everything before you take the room. I love the location and parking is next door, no problem, the problem is everything else as explained... The staff in front desk is nice and helpful.... Also No irons in this hotel, I ask for one and they only had 2 and none worked... Whoever owns this hotel needs to spend some money to even rent liveable rooms!!!

The worst hotel ever. No towels. No cable available but TV did not work anyway. Very cold outside and bathroom window cannot be closed so room was like sleeping in the fridge. Staff said yes to everything but did absolutely nothing. If they answered the phone they just hung up so you always had to go to the desk. Horrible experience!

Un hôtel avec du potentiel avec un bon emplacement pour visiter à pied le centre historique. Le bâtiment est beau mais il commence à manquer d’entretien et soigner les finissons des chambres ( des câbles télé mal rangés, des fissures sur les mûrs, termites, des draps et couettes tachées et déchirées pas trop propres, un odeur de fois de égouts…)

Good overall

It is a very convenient hotel in the heart of the city where everything is a walking distance with no need to take a taxi. That helped us a lot to reduce transportation cost even when we had a rental car. Parking is free and it is next to the hotel in a private building, open 24 hours with no restrictions and safe. Room is decent just remodeled with rustic aparience but clean. The only but thing is the smell of old cloak coming from the bathroom and we had to open the bathroom window and it was cold. It has a gas heather in the room that you got to tell to the front person to come to light it for you to keep the room warm because it was 30 F degrees outside. Other than that, everything works good tv and wifi. I will stay again for the convenience and the price

Hotels dot com overcharged the stay, according to the front desk the site charged me 20 usd over their rates. The hotel staff is way too noisy early in the morning, and yelling to their colleagues through the hallways. Room has no A/C. Not enough towels and bathroom amenities. Room was quite small, hard to get in with the baggages

Great part of town to walk around and shop, free parking in the garage is a plus, staff very nice. rooms are spartan, no air conditioning might make it miserable in the summer. For the cost of the room i was very pleased and will stay there again.

Old world hotel, Nice change of pace

Its an old world hotel, They did well with the accommodations they have. It was obvious they tried to take care of it, everyone was doing what they could to make it a pleasant stay for me. Being here reminded me of being in a hotel in old Mexico, to those going for business, the internet was not the greatest but it did work. If you were traveling for the sole purpose of business and needed internet you may want to think twice. I enjoyed this place though, beds were comfortable and the staff was polite

Great location. Colonial charm.

In the old city center, near the Cathedral. Pleasant and safe walking day and night - . Taxis to bus station and restaurants in other parts of the city cost only $3-$5. Hotel's authentic colonial charm is even nicer than the photos. Room was simple but clean and comfortable. If, like us, you don't mind warm water showers, this is a great value.

If you are looking for a great location and want to stay in what was a grand hotel this is your place. The Hotel itself (lobby, court yard, etc) are fine but the rooms are no more than a 2 at best.

Great location, and if you like your Hotel with character but are prepared to put up with some anoyances then I would recommend this Hotel. For the price it is perfectly adequate for an overnight night stay. Unfortunately hot water is still an issue, and the lack of a bedside light is annoying. Reception do not speak any Emglish but are helpful - my TV remote had to be changed three times before we found a workable model. Surprising number of English TV channels - also a bit of a problem with my booking and Internet connection, but it was all handled without \"attitude\". Unfortunately the night I stayed was extremely chilly so my room was just adequately warm. There was a gas heater on the wall, but very close to the Tv so as I had no Spanish I was reluctant to try it - I chose the TV. Note - no breakfast in Hotel and I did not see a suitable place nearby, but it was cold so maybe there is. All in all for the price and location I woulsdstay again for a night maybe two.

Buyer Beware: Two Cheers for the Urdiñola

The Urdiñola is located in downtown Saltillo just blocks from the plaza. The hotel is old, having seen its glory days in the 1930's judging from the large photo in the lobby. Our stay in late December 2009 was tolerable, but I have four complaints. First, the parking garage is nearby but has no direct connection to the hotel. The visitor must roll/carry his luggage down the long ramp, out the door of the garage, down the sidewalk and into the hotel. Second, the toilet tank malfunctioned and required manual intervention. Third, the shower water was at best lukewarm at a time of the year when nighttime outside temperatures were close to freezing. Fourth, we were told by the night clerk that the restaurant at the San Jorge would give us a ten percent discount, but the restaurant refused. Not to worry, you can get good food and drink at the Flor y Canela on Allende(?), and great food at the Tabacayo(?) on Hidalgo, both just blocks from the hotel. Oh well, at least the price was right.

Visit Saltillo- great location!

The location is excellent- centrally located. You walk out of the hotel and are in the middle of a shopping area, 4 blocks to large park. We were there for a Saturday night and there were a lot of people out and about. The hotel is charming, rooms are small, shower could use a better cleaning but, since there is no hot water, we weren't going to use the shower anyway : ) I will definitely stay here again, if I was going to visit for only one night- I do need a hot water shower!

Excepcional. Un hotel nuevo, aperturado al público el 19 de diciembre del 2025; con un toque especial en el diseño de todo el edificio que cuenta con una infraestructura fenomenal. La ornamentación con un toque sencillamente elegante, te inspira a relajarte de manera terapéutica, o bien a trabajar de manera inspiradora y con muchas ganas.

La habitación estaba en mal estado, olía a tabaco, no había toallas, tuve que pedirlas y una vez me dieron unas mojadas aún y sucias. En otra ocasión las pedí y me dijeron que las llevarían y nunca las llevaron, tuve que volver a pedirlas. Es muy ruidoso. Quienes atienden por las noches no son amables, si pides más cobijas porque hace mucho frío y las habitaciones no tienen ni calefacción, te cuestionan que cuántas personas hay en la habitación y si sólo eres una persona, te dicen que sólo te dan una, ya después acceden, pero ese no es el trato correcto. Qué lástima que el hotel este tan descuidado y la atención sea así. Las imágenes de muestra están truqueadas.

La habitación estaba limpia, lo unico malo era que pensé que el baño no funcionaba, pero solo teniamos que cuidar que la palanca se quedara arriba, sino no cargaba agua. El wifi no llegaba hasta la habitación. Si me volvería a alojar en el hotel.

La propiedad es antigua y muy descuidada; me dieron una habitación que para nada se parecía a la que anuncian en internet. El baño olía a sucio y la habitación no contaba al menos con una lampara y ni una silla sencilla. En términos generales muy mala la habitación, en relación a como la anuncian.

Mandé mensaje a la propiedad y no me contestaron. Luego intenté hablar por teléfono y no me contestó nadie. Realicé La tarde mi check up pero en lugar de una cama king como había reservado me dieron un cuarto con dos mateimoniales. La tv se prendía sola, la lámpara no tenía el apagador, al cuarto se le metía la iluminación interna del patio toda la noche, no se podía la habitación cerrar por fuera y no tenía las toallas del baño.

Quizá todo esto haya sido debido al precio. Lo mejor que tiene es que está en un lugar céntrico y que está bien para dormir.
