Yes, the room had a great view of the ocean and downtown Puerto Montt.
This property has seen better days. The room seems a bit worn and although comfortable, very basic with no added amenities.
I had continuous hot water, a smoking terrace so you didn't have to go out the front (very important since Puerto Montt- especially at night- can be dangerous) and a buffet style breakfast.

Good location. We took a shared bus from the airport and walked through the bus station to a secure door at the end. We buzzed and a hotel staff member let us in. While waiting for another patron to check in, others on our shared bus arrived.
The room was simple and clean. Excellent shower, which we needed after a day of travel.
Staff was courteous and arranged for an early breakfast package for us, which we ate waiting for a taxi to the airport.

I booked the multi room and reception gave me double bed room and I need to get swap room and the second time the reception still not give me multi room that I paid for. And breakfast was not good and charged us $10 dollars and I ate the breakfast and not feeling well .

Encontrar el estacionamiemto fue un poco complicado. El hotel no cuenta con estacionamiento propio. Hay que pagar por el eatacionamiento. Mi vuelo salia antes que las puertas del estacionamiento abriera, por lo que tuve que coordinar con la administracion del hotel y la administracion del estacionamiento para poder sacar mi carro antes de la hora de apertura. Afortunadamente todo salio muy bien.

The Ibis Puerto Montt was an excellent stay. We had bicycles because we were about to start the Carretera Austral; we were delighted to be able to have them in our room. It is conveniently situated near shopping, dining and the waterfront. It had a wonderful view of the nearby volcano.

Immediately next to the bus station ...could not get any closer...literally 30 steps to my bus in the morning...perfect for early buses...right at the waterfront....walked to the cinema in a very nice mall...
Room was fine, bed was acceptable, all very clean...carpeting in hallways very worn and tired but in room was fine. Food in restaurant very basic.
Value was acceptable. I slept well!

The property doesn’t handle a proper cleaning record of the rooms, they can give you a part clean room as result of not cross the check out record of the guests.
The location is inside a Bus Terminal, the front door can made you feel unsafe, street informal sellers and noisy street. The bay views are amazing from inside.
The elevators (two in the property) are shared with cleaning services and guests and they’re really slow. It can take you up 10 minutes to get one ride.

I had to tape the gap in the window/ frame to help keep the cold draft out. Had to beg for clothes hangers. They gave 3 after 3 days of requests. Very noisy location right next to bus terminal. They put us in a room on the noisy side when the hotel was almost empty.
They want too much information just to join the WiFi that stops after 3 days.
Good hot water, staff friendly, good bed, sheets and blankets. The shower does not drain fast enough because the floor is sloped away from the drain so it runs out onto the bathroom floor.
The place was okay for nightly rate.

The Ibis hotel is adjacent to the bus terminal in Puerto Montt, so there is easy access to shops and food vendors. There is a parking garage underneath the hotel, and a supermarket can be accessed via the garage. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, with a view of the lake and mountains. Amenities included a TV, desk, storage shelves, towel, soap, shampoo and a rain-shower head in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. A restaurant on the 3rd floor provides breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The daily special was a pork chop with potatoes, both of which were prepared well and delicious. Helpful staff in the restaurant and at the front desk speak English. They provided assistance by explaining how to use the voucher for the underground parking. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We travelled to the lake district and stayed in Puerto Montt as well. The hotel has a great location on the ocean next to a park and walking distance to some great eating and shops. The rooms look out over the ocean ands were immaculate. There is parking and shops beneath the hotel. While there, definitely go to the fish market for a truly fresh seafood meal while watching sea lions cavort in the water below you.

Typical Ibis property. Everything was usual. Location was great, actually. Food was decent and staff was very friendly and efficient. One thing that never changes for me is that I hate the bathrooms in these hotels. The showers are the worst! And the doors never work properly on the shower. But they're cheap, so I put up with it.

There was nothing that advised me to bring my passport or else pay an additional $15 in local taxes. I had another form of ID that was denied and I was wrongly charged the local tax just because I had the wrong form of ID. This should be made clear when booking and it was not - this needs to change. Customer service is very poor in Chile in general, but I found the staff to be exceptionally rude and unaccommodating in this matter. The rooms are beginning to look dated.

A very typical Ibis hotel experience but with a exceptional front desk team. Rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Same goes for the breakfast. Good location next to the main bus terminal but I didn't notice any sound coming from all the traffic at the terminal. The hotel is walking distance to supermarkets and a shopping mall. If you are fortunate (as I was) you can get a room with a great view of the harbor. The wifi signal was good. Again, what stood out was the front desk team, some of whom spoke English. One thing to keep in mind is that check out and check in time is the same and if you arrive at that time for check in there can be a bit of a wait to be processed. Not sure why the hotel schedules that way because it does create a needless log jam and puts the front desk staff under a lot of stress. The day I checked in they only had one person at the desk which didn't help matters. Nonetheless I liked the hotel and extended my stay. While I was traveling by bus and it wasn't an issue I could see how trying to park a car at the hotel could be a pain in the neck..

Or room price at Ibis was as low as some of the basic hostels in the same area. Located on the waterfront and right next to the Bus Terminal where it is easy to get transport to Airport and many of the tourist towns such as Castro (Isla Chiloe) and the Lakes districts.
Breakfast was pretty good at an extra (optional) charge. English speaking staff - friendly and helpful. Modern and clean room - and quiet.

Absolutely couldn't fault it. By far the tidiest, cleanest, friendliest (at check in etc.) hotel that I stayed in during my whole two months in Chile. I feel sad that it had to be a big hotel chain that I apply that description too but that is the truth. That's not to say that I haven't stayed in other decent places in Chile but they have all let themselves down in one or more aspects of my stay. This one didn't - it deserves success, maybe it will raise the standard bar a bit for others. It was also one of the cheaper places that I stayed. Heck, it even had a plug in the sink.

If I had to pick one fault then a kettle and fridge in the room would have been good. I haven't seen that anywhere else though so I guess it's not as common as in the UK.
