Outside of the hotel looks nice as does the lobby. The rooms, on the other hand, were left behind in the 1970’s. Don’t let the room photos fool you. They are small and in serious need of updating. And the carpet needed to be replaced many many years ago. Would also suggest getting some paint for the hallways and stairways. The staff were very nice.

Perfectly functional hotel for budget traveler looking for hotel amenities. And they stored bags (and did our laundry) which was helpful for our cycling trip around the lake. Restaurant was good. Easy to walk to town in a few minutes and some coffee/restaurant options within a block (NoSe was particularly tasty).

The dings are that the hotel is tired and in need of some remodeling/updating. which made the small room a bit more uncomfortable. But for the price, worth it.

Unpardonable, the worst experience I've had

Worst experience in staying in a hotel, I cant believe how poor the condition is. The noise levels wear unbearable, thin floorboards and walls. I could hear the other guests alarms go off 3 days in a row. When they walked above, it was as if an elephant was walking above. The room which i was given was a floor above the restaurant, however I could hear the shouting and clapping of guests for an event they were hosting which lasted to 10pm.
Reception advised that dinner was being seved to 10pm, but when i went to the dining room I was refused to be served because of the event. Reception failed to communicate this and didnt know the event was going on, which meant I had to leave in the heavy rain to search for a restaurant that wasn't busy. The alternative as I was advised was to wait 2.5hrs to after 10pm to see if it was possible to be served post event.
On top of this, they dont practice sustainability. I used a soap once to wash my hands, when i entered the room after housekeeping attended, it was thrown away and replaced with a new packet to open. The toilet roll which was also full had been replaced with a new one.
The position if the window meant that guests in other rooms had full visibility into the room.
Additionally, I had to carry my own 23kg suitcase up a small flight of stairs as they faul to mention that after you go in the lift, the rooms have a small set of stairs. No offer to help provided.
Guests next door, shouted early with no regard for others.
Appaling.

We had no hot water. The hotel room was beautiful, with windows all around. We did expect hot water at a Radisson. The front desk was not helpful and just had me write my complaint in a book. Also, I booked this hotel because of the free airport shuttle, which now costs $25. Very dissatisfied!

Convenient to the center of Puerto Varas.
However:
We paid for 2 superior rooms - they put us in 1 superior and 1 regular room - a rip-off.
I found the old motel smell very strong - it was cold when we checked-in and all the windows were closed. With the windows open the smell was less.
The carpets were very thin - which felt cheap. The floor hadn't been levelled before the carpet was laid and there were some big dips in the floor.
The heating had a will of its own - it could be cold and it wouldn't come on and on a mild morning it did come on.
Breakfast was included and was average.
Parking on the site was tight but we could usually get a space.

Seems they slapped the Radisson name on an old hotel, painted the outside, and haven't spent a peso extra to maintain or renovate inside the hotel. It's dingy in the hallways and you can literally hear people in the rooms around you speaking at normal volumes. Would not recommend.

It’s fine. Don’t expect anything extraordinary. I don’t understand why hotels like this can’t get with the times and accommodate their guests by supplying some sort filtration system so we can refill our water bottles —- like practically every other hotel does. Instead they provide you with one bottle of water upon check in, regardless of how long your stay is.

There parking for this hotel is minimal. We arrived shortly after check in, probably 4pm and were told the parking was full and that we would need to park on the street somewhere. Luckily we only had to walk a couple of blocks but when free parking is advertised as an amenity, it should be more widely available. The rooms are very small, the carpet is dirty. The toilet leaked and there was no screen to keep the bugs out when we opened our window to cool off. The free breakfast was nice and appreciated. The hotel location is perfect and is close to shops, restaurants and the shore. The city of Puerto Varas is so amazing it made up for what this hotel was lacking. I would stay here again only if the property was updated and better maintained. The free parking issue wouldn't be a problem if they just didn't say it was offered and I knew we had to park on the street and would have been better prepared.

Comfortable hotel, lots of staff spoke English, friendly staff. Parking a little difficult, breakfast needs an upgrade. Dinner was horrible in restaurant, but many awesome restaurants within walking distance. The showers suddenly go cold for a few seconds when the water pressure fluctuates. Annoying background fan noise in the room from unknown source but tolerable.

Every now and then I could access it in the dining area. There was one chair in the reception area where it seemed to work - if I held my phone up in the air.

Tiny rooms. The extra cost \"panarama room\" had a view of the hotel's lower roof with birds and bird poop - you also had a view of the side of the hotel's breakfast wing. You could not see the lake from the small window since the window was set back from a wall on the left. Look elsewhere - the shower ran hot and cold - fluctuating on its own. No coffee or tea. Bottled water for a fee. Lovely loud noises and running in the hallways as two buses of kids and tourists arrived late at night.

Nice restaurant just up street 100 feet - vigils i think. For rwice the money i think the other radison is town is worth the money. Id stay again

There was a nice welcome drink and the onsite dining room had reasonable offerings for food and spirits.

We booked last minute after a no-show ferry forced us to change our plans. The staff were very kind and professional, but our room was on the stairwell and quite loud. The carpet had recently been replaced and was still off-gassing. Parts of the hotel were very nice (the hotel restaurant, which did serve a very nice breakfast spread) but other parts seemed rather rundown. The location is hard to beat, however, and there was ample on site parking.

Nice place to stay in Puerto Varas

The Park Inn is a great place to stay in Puerto Varas. Its location is an easy walk to everything in town. They provide a very nice breakfast in a sunny dining room overlooking nice garden and pool. The bar and restaurant are also open throughout the day and evening. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Ample free parking is available.

My only suggestion would be to not take a room on the first floor. These rooms are in close proximity to the dining room and the entrance to the downstairs conference room space and both can be noisy at night.

Nice hotel, well located, celan and kind staff. Five minutes walk to the Llanquihue lake with a nice common room at the top of the hotel, with an almost complete view of Puerto Varas city and surroundings. The only problem is with Expedia booking: the booking ticket said \"taxes included\", but the hotel charged me 19% VAT, so the staying was more expensive than planned. That was unfortunate.

Room was very small, could hardly walk in the room. Beds take up almost the entire space. Also, the ceiling sloped down making it impossible to stand up in some areas of the room. Dirty carpets in the halls..seems old, and not well maintained. Will not stay here again. Need to walk down..and then back up, steep hill to get to town. Limited parking available.

Is this a closet??

Super small room. They say it is their \"standard\" room. It feels like a closet. 2 outlets..one you have to have the overhead lightbulbs on for the outlet to work. The ceiling slopes which makes the room even smaller.The bed is si-so..and you can hear noise from the rooms close by. There are only 4 or 5 parking spots otherwisw you can try and find parking on the streets.

Although slightly dated and in need of a facelift, I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It's a little up the hill, and affords a beautiful view of the bay and town. Also avoids all the town noise and dogs barking at night.

Such a shame it rained nearly my whole stay but my room was warm and the bed comfortable so I read a lot. The hotel needs a bit of TLC but it's clean and warm and most staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast has a reasonable selection from 0700-1030 which is sensible for people on holiday. Location is fine. About 5-10 minute walk to the centre where there are nice shops and restaurants.

Great location overlooking Puerto Varas. Easy 5 minute walk to downtown, the beach and restaurants.

Service at the desk was great and the staff very friendly. Restaurant selections were excellent. Buffet breakfast included hot entre, breads, cereals, juice, fruit and coffee.

Wifi access on 6th floor was poor and very slow to the point of being unusable at times. Access from the restaurant area was good and I used the lounge area when I needed internet access.

The staffmember at the front desk was extremely helpful when we checked in. He asked us if we had a taxi to the airport the next morning (we were only staying one night) and immediately booked one. Since we were going to miss breakfast he also immediately said he would arrange lunchboxes for us to take with instead, and they were ready when we checked out the next day. We also got tickets for a complimentary pisco sour which was very nice. The room itself was in good condition, clean and comfortable. There is also a lookout tower atop the hotel that provides great views of the town of Puerto Varas. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the town.

I stayed at Colonos del Sur Mirador over the Christmas holiday and was generally satisfied with the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but the lock on my door had to be reset several times which was annoying. The included breakfast was okay, but not great, and the hotel staff didn't warn me that no restaurants (including their own) would be open for Christmas Eve dinner without a prior reservation for a set menu. The hotel is set up above the center of town with great views, but not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues unless you're driving as the path down to town is a steep flight of stairs.

Great lake view hotel

The staff was all very helpful. We speak very little Spanish, and the staff had no problem interacting with s, and several staff members went out of their way to interact with us in English. We booked for the pool, but ended up not using it. We receieved a welcome drink, and the doorman let us know where all the must-see attractions in town were, and about a festival going on that evening. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room we had on the first stay was tiny. It was just as well we left the cat at home because we could not have swung him. This room had a great view. The second room was more a standard room size but no view. The staff were excellent and very helpful at all times. Good location.
