Nice hotel with super friendly staff. We need to stay two extra days at the hotel due to flight cancellation. The hotel went out of its way to make us feel comfortable. They suggested new places to visit, got cabs for us and provided us with extra water for our day trip. The location is perfect for visitors to walk around the center of the town. Perfect place to know Barcelona: it history, its culture and its people.

Let's start with the room and bathroom, it was immaculate, quiet, roomy and LUX. My only complaint was the very very FIRM bed. There were tons of lighting, outlets and the blackout curtains were perfect for sleeping in. If you use wash clothes you will have to bring your own. Getting to the hotel is a little tricky, the taxi can't drop-off/pickup in front of the hotel so you will have to walk about 2 blocks from the main street (4 min). The staff were friendly and the hotel itself is super cute. I'd stay there again, you really can't beat the location a few steps from Barcelona Cathedral!!!

This was my second stay at Hotel Barcelona Cathedral, and I will definitely be back again and again! The location is unbeatable, you are just steps away from the stunning Barcelona Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter, with easy access to La Rambla, local markets, and incredible hidden tapas bars. If you enjoy shopping, the main retail districts are only a 10–20 minute walk away. Just keep in mind that while most central sights are close, La Sagrada Família is a bit of a trek on foot, so you may want to plan for transport for that specific trip. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and located in a very safe, vibrant neighborhood. What truly makes the stay special is the staff; they are incredibly friendly and welcoming. For anyone wanting a safe, central, and high-quality home base in Barcelona, I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Location of hotel is wonderful but just to note that it is primarily in a pedestrian zone. Can call for cab/Lyft but otherwise need to go a few blocks to hail one. On weekends even more limited. I stayed here for 2 nights with my teenage daughter. Great location in the Gothic quarter, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We were able to walk to the beach, to las Ramblas and to Sagrada Familia from the hotel. The room was a good size, really clean and not noisy at night. And the air con was a god send (we went in August) We arrived early and they were happy for us to leave our bags until check in. Would definitely book here again

The hotel was surprisingly quiet despite on the side street of the Cathedral square. It is walkable to many locations. There is chocolate box downstairs where there are delicious gelatos for sale. One thing that I didn’t like was that taxis would not stop in front of the hotel due to construction and narrow street which is not good if you don't walk a distance with luggages. You need to walk a short distance if you got dropped off Lamaro, the 5 atar hotel.

Friendly staff. Very clean. Unfortunately did not let us know of some drilling they had scheduled during daytime hours that made it difficult to rest after a long flight in from overseas. Also couldn’t grant a 1 hour extension when asked about a later checkout. Have never had that at any other hotel I’ve stayed at. Somehow most hotels find a way. Maybe just a bad day to ask.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful staff. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfy. We had a nice view of the Kissing Wall in the back of the hotel that attracted many tourists. The pool on the 5th floor was lovely. The only thing was the mattress was a little too hard for my liking. Other than that, great hotel - I would stay here again. Gracias!

This was an excellent property, with clean, good-size rooms and wonderful staff. I especially liked that there was a door between the bedroom and the entryway/bathroom. The bathroom was good sized as well with a great shower. Great location for walking everywhere…I ran to the beach everyday and it was very easy to get to.
The staff really made the hotel so excellent. They were so kind, friendly and helpful. They helped us with every request we had..the young people in particular were great.
I used the gym everyday and while small, it had what I needed with one treadmill, bike, stairmaster and weights.
Definitely stay again if we return.

We needed a place to explore Barcelona for a couple nights before boarding a cruise and the location and hotel was perfect. Our incoming flight was late and we had to contact the hotel and they held our room for us overnight so we could get in early. They were very helpful.
