Overall it was a good stay. Staff were attentive snd very flexible with allowing me to see all the open VIP rooms that were available so that we can move into. Our first room, the shower didn’t have any partition so water got all over the floor with the strong flow. Or final room, the lock wasn’t working so then they were able to replace it right away and even gave us pedicure vouchers. The food was only so so. I think the smell in the restaurant put me off a bit. Tea time was only ok. The location was great. It was near Ben Thanh market which made out easy to walk everywhere but a bit noisy at night if you don’t like noise then not for you.

My family had another great stay at the A&Em Saigon Hotel.
The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. We have had to change our itinerary a few times and they understand and are super accommodating.
The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast menu is diverse and tasty.
I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great stay in central district 1/Ben Thành market area.
Well definitely be back

The gym was lacking in single equipment like dumbbell sets, plates etc. Some variety would be good.
And the VIP room was great, we really enjoyed our stay.

Don't be fooled by the nice photos - while the lobby looks great, the room was dirty, amenities were outdated, and the stairwells were constantly blocked by laundry and boxes. Good luck trying to sleep with the extremely loud / bassy music playing until 1am every night (it's coming from Nori on the first floor . . . not District K across the street).

The stay was great up until the end...I am disappointed in the way the hotel adds extra costs which has never happened to us before in any hotel...even the hotel in Hanoi didn't add any extra costs for changing pillow cases twice. This is very odd for this kind of hotel and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is near to Ben Thanh market which is very convenient. However, the room smells urine all the time. Since we stayed there only a day and a half, we didn't care to make a complain but never stay there again. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast is small and not much of options. for the price that we paid, we would rather stay at a bigger hotel. this is more a motel.

We had a VIP room which unfortunately was straight above the bar, so was noisy most nights until 2am. The wall in our toilet had poo splatter from a prior stay, so needs a good clean. Other than that it was great. Breakfast was lovely, good variety of food. Pool was very welcoming during the 30°+ days.

The hotel is well located and very convenient. Staff are friendly and provide good service. However, I had 3 problems with my room (304). The door could not be unlocked and it was attended to promptly due to weak battery. The safe way not working and had to be replaced. The shower suddenly can't be used as the switch knob didn't stay in place and you have to keep pulling it for the water to shower.

Pro - Staff team is attentive, polite, helpful and patient. Furniture decor in the hotel is lovely. Clean and neat hotel.

Con - The placement for shower head holder will wet the whole toilet floor after a shower. The noise from the pub below us can be quite disturbing for light sleeper.

After check in I found out the toilet in the room was dirty, the floor was wet. Even asking for clean but it still not thoroughly. The worst part was I saw 2 cockroaches on the floor and killed it. It make me so scare which I had to close my luggage all the time to prevent in case to bring the cockroach home. It was terrible experience and not worth money at all

Worst sleep we have ever had bed was discussing i had to use the pillows on the lounge to sleep. Our city view was one of the worst i have been to in any aisan country. The breakfast table on 9the floor, eas dirty with stain. The waiter do not wipe and clean table, when they collect the used dishes and cups. However, they are quite polite and helpful, willingness, offer to cook food ( friedeggs and noodle). I stayed 3 nights, first 2 nights was disturbed by noises of jumping sound or heavy movement upstairs or next door, looks like next room is having a big sex party. All 3 nights, I experienced aircon, being shut off, very warm. I check control console, I never set timer. Strange.

The bellman put our luggages on the street unattended. This is unacceptable, especially since Vietnam is known for bag snatching! The bellman also tried lying to us that there wasn’t a large scale for us to use when all the receptionists said there would be one available. When the receptionists finally convinced him to get the scale, he made us weigh our luggages out on the street because he did not want to bring the luggages back inside (his words in vietnamese). At this price point, I recommend staying somewhere else. The hotel across the street (princess Saigon central hotel) is not as nice but the service was impeccable.

On the face of it, based on previous reviews and photos, this hotel seemed like good value. It was clean, the staff were relatively friendly, the room was nicely decorated and of a decent size, daily cleaning was conducted efficiently, and best of all it is close to the action in District 1; opposite the Ben Thành Food Market and up the street from the Ben Thánh Markets, and night markets. All the main attractions were within walking distance.
However... we were not advised that the pool bar area was being renovated for the WHOLE time we were at the hotel. Aaahh the drilling and the banging and nailing and hammering!!! We were on the 7th floor (the pool is on the 9th floor), and this work was conducted between 10am and about 5.30pm EVERY DAY. Vietnam is quite hot, so we would get up early, go exploring and then rest and relax in our room over the hottest period of the day. Sure, the pool needed renovating. But TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS!! If not in advance of their stay, then at least at check in, let them know what to expect! And maybe some sort of compensation or something - a free drink each day or something?? I didn’t realise the work would be going on all week otherwise I would have asked for a different room.
Also, fire safety. The hotel leaves a lot to be desired in this respect. Many laundry trolleys were left in the stairwell next to the lifts, and candles were placed in hollowed out pineapples on our floor, and an oil burner in the lift!! An accident waiting to happen.

Awesome and comfy stay. Booked the executive suite and the bed was huge with a comfy mattress and extremely comfy pillows. Rooftop pool was a bonus, especially on those hot relaxing stays. Location was good, with loads of restaurants, bars and shops within the vicinity.

Massage was ok, breakfast buffet was ok.

Overall, a highly pleasant stay. Highly recommend this place.

It is said 4 star hotel, I would say it is 2 star at most, itself has a construction even at 11 pm, complained but not work, was told it is normal here.

The hotel is very very old, and the room smells odd, the shower bath is not working very well., the window is opened, and hard to lock

Worst hotel of our Vietnam trip by far

Overpriced room in need of updating. Great location. Our stay was ruined by the person in the room next door hosting raves throughout the night. Threatened me when I asked him to turn his music off at 5am. Hotel staff did absolutely nothing to assist. Night staff found it funny and manager wasn’t interested although they later called the police regarding the same guest and drug use. Room wasn’t cleaned, dead cockroach left in room for days. I seriously recommend you Do not stay here

The hotel is located in D1 close to many attractions. The room I had was a very small room but comfortable. It had an equally small shower cubicle which is a bit of a squeeze to get in and out. The toilet seat was position in a very odd way such that you cannot sit normally because your left leg is blocked by the shower screen. However the cleanliness and comfort made up for it. Breakfast was sufficient and service overall was ok. So if you need a clean bed, air-condition that works, cable TV and central location and decently priced - this is good
