This should be rated a 2 1/2 star hotel. The location was great and
the staff was excellent.

However, the air-conditioning only worked properly, sporadically, and seemed programmed that way. Sometimeswith limited hot water, sometimes limited cold water. The sheets and towels were clean, yet the uncarpeted floor was filthy, quickly turning bare feet black which made the sheets dirty when you got into bed.

Check-in is disorganized, but all of the staff are friendly and helpful. Every morning at breakfast, one employee was extra welcoming. Interacting with Thuy Giang in the dining room was a lovely way to start our days. It was nice to have two bathrooms. Also, the hotel treats you to a meal and daily happy hour drinks, which was an unexpected bonus. We also love the restaurant next door called Hong Phat.

We booked this hotel for our last 3 nights in Vietnam as it looked really good. We were disappointed with the room we had booked, but thanks to Matthew, he worked with us and found a room that met our expectation for the money we had paid. The hotel is 3 buildings in one.

We were located in an area with no windows so it was dark and easier to sleep. Sun comes up early here in Vietnam.

There was a bit of noise in the hallways during the day if you need a nap from repairs to cleaning staff.

Rooms are great, excellent bathrooms.

The hotel is smack in the middle of district 1, meaning tou can walk to a great many attractions. The room was clean, quiet, with decent air-conditioning.

The photos on the ad make the room and facilities somehwat more than reality. We didnt use the pool as it smelt lf chlorine, and the entire hotel has access to the jacuzzi. The rooftop areas were home to smokers, so not for us. Stafff were lovely but not problem solvers. Breakfast had plenty of choicebut if you're after taste, head for the street food

The best service I have ever received from all members of the hotel staff. Communication between each department excellent in meeting our varied needs including helping to book a specialised private tour. Always smiling and greeting you warmly, including the hardworking housekeeping staff. Clean, peaceful and beautiful surroundings and an excellent choice of mainly Vietnamese foods, but also some European foods and cereals, breads and teas and coffees. Really enjoyed using the rooftop swimming pool and sitting for a while in the rooftop bar drinking our free cocktails, one per person per night as part of a voucher reward scheme.
A few teething problems at start of our stay, as we tried and succeeded in sorting out which entrance and which lift was the closest to access our room, a tad confusing as construction is going on outside parts of the large building and some renovations are already taking place inside leading to some confusion on our part.However, the many floor staff were alert and ready to show us the correct way, as well as transporting luggage from different areas when needed. Would happily stay here again for future visits to HCMC.

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic—convenient and close to everything, making it a great choice for travelers looking to explore the area. However, while the staff was polite and welcoming, the hotel itself feels quite outdated and in need of some upgrades.

The amenities, from the furnishings to the overall decor, could use a refresh to enhance the guest experience. Some modern touches, updated facilities, and a bit more attention to detail would go a long way in bringing this hotel up to its full potential.

That said, we still enjoyed our stay due to its prime location and friendly service. With some thoughtful renovations, this could easily become a top-tier choice for visitors. Looking forward to seeing what improvements come in the future!

A great hotel. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. I was able to check in early and the reception staff called me when my tour guide arrived to pick me up. Breakfast is delicious with a huge choice. I had one meal in the restaurant on my last day and I wish I had more as the service & food were amazing. Room was cleaned daily and 2 glass bottles of fresh filtered water supplied each time. The facilities on the rooftop area are great, I enjoyed a swim then a few drinks while listening to an acoustic band that play there 3 times per week. A young band playing instruments with amazing singers. Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of many attractions. I would happily stay here again and can recommend this hotel.

We loved the rooftop pool. We spent hours in the pool looking at the city. The room was also very nice but it did take a while for the Aircon to kick in. The breakfast was good and had lots of options. The restaurant also has vegan options. Organising transport to and from Saigon Airport was also very easy through the hotel.

My room and bathroom were totally five star. But the coolest thing was the rooftop. It wound around through two bars, a hot tub, a swimming pool, and a garden. There was also an area with a plexiglass fence where you could sit and look down at the city.

Rooms are beat. I have been to Saigon many times it was the worst by far. Bell boy commented on that I have 2 phones so I am a rich guy. Bad start. Rooms are old and beat and small. Good points: the room, the breakfast, airport pickup driver was really helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations for the area, the location is great, the lobby is nice, rooftop terrace is nice.

Areas that could be improved on: some front desk staff lacks training. It took way too long to check in because they said our reservation was not in their system. Although I had been corresponding with the hotel the day before to arrange for airport pick up and they confirmed we are guests of the hotel so I don't understand how our reservation was not there when we were checking in? No apologies or explanations why they couldn't find our reservation. But miraculously after an hour they found it.
Some of the front desk staff we encountered weren't very friendly. I didn't expect over the top cheeriness but a smile wouldn't have hurt.

So as much as we liked most of the things about the hotel, due to our personal experiences with some of the staff (and our observations with how the same staff member interacted with other guests - she was very rude to the other guests), we would not stay here again.

From the airport pick up by Phuong, organised through the hotel to Tin and Lauren from reception and the staff in the restaurant, bar and luggage handlers, the staff are amazing, kind helpful and friendly. The property has 2 or 3 sections to it and facilities are great. Its located in District 1 close to everything! Although the only room available was a twin room which was quite small with a window with no view the staff put our beds together and the place was so clean! The free breakfast is fantastic and they gave us free drink vouchers and a free meal in the,restaurant. Couldnt have asked for more!! Thank you fir naking our stay in Ho Chi Min so special. We spent two nights here after ariving from a few days in Singapore, from getting out the taxi to getting to the room the staff were so helpful. Yhe room was very spacious with a big bed and annd well sized bathroom. The location is excellent, only walking distance to most attractions and best of all the food market is only a couple of minutes walk away.

Stayed 2 nights Jun 2023, while traveling with my adult daughter.
IMPORTANT: Safety risk! Late the evening of the first night I had to leave in a hurry to not miss my flight 11pm, I said goodbye to my daughter in the lobby, witnessed by a few hotel employees. I ended up missing my flight and returned to hotel around 1am going back to our room were my daughter was staying one more night. About 3:30am someone with an electronic room key attempted to enter our room, they opened the door, we yelled out and had the chain on the door stopping them from entering. We called the lobby and they claimed they had someone checking the air conditioning in the empty rooms. I do not believe this to be true, what maintenance checks room at 3:30 am!!! Plus our room was registered as occupied and paid for another night!
I do think an employee that was aware my 30yr old daughter was alone in the room attempted to enter in the middle of the night!!!!!
Thank god I missed my flight and we had the chain on the door.
Also: The check in was slow, there 3 people at the desk but only one was checking in guest and it was busy.
The last night we had a lot of bugs (small ants I think) around our sink. We did not report this as it was late, we were tired and we were checking out early next day. I did however tell the desk at checkout, they did not seem to care.

The location of the hotel is excellent and public spaces in this property are beautifully designed.

The rooms are not as nice. They are simple and a bit dated. The bathrooms are poorly designed with a horrendous corner bath and shower that requires climbing in a very high bathtub that is not secured to the floor or wall. It was impossible to shower properly in this tub.

We had an item disappear from our room.

The water in the rooftub hot tub was oily and the tub itself was in disrepair.

They do not accommodate food restrictions for Westerners. If.you are vegetarian and don't eat Asian dinner food for breakfast you only have dry bread and cakes to choose from.
This hotel had one of the biggest spreads for breakfast and we had nothing to eat. They serve individually wrapped processed cheese food slices instead of cheese and sweetened junky cereals.

We stayed in the cheaper of the 2 alagon hotels which are connected. We had a big room with 2 bathrooms which was nice. If I were to come again I might spend the extra money for the nicer hotel, but our room was perfectly fine for the price. Bed was comfy, AC worked. The location was great! Family mart one block away for supplies several restaurants on the same street & bui vien party street was just a 10 minute walk which was great. Pool was good, luckily not too busy when we were there most days we were in there alone or with one other person. Lady working at the roof top bar was so nice and helpful. Overall good for the price!

Our stay here was ok at best, it was our least favourite of three hotels we stayed in.
Paid for a premier room and found it small, slightly tatty and dingy in places and certainly found staff slow, unhelpful and not particularly friendly.
Food at breakfast was extremely minimal and a great disappointment, slightly salty staff did not help.
Good central location and bar staff were very polite which was the highlight of the stay.

If you reserve a room make sure to arrive early in the day otherwise you have no choice for your room, nor other amenities. We arrived 5pm and they didn't have the right room we requested with large queen bed. Being 6-3\" 1 single bed doesn't work. Staff just said \"based on availability \" also check out was bad, the staff needs to learn what it is for customer service in the hospitality industries.

The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to most of the main attractions in Ho Chi Minh City. Reception was very helpful and provided us with useful information on sightseeing during our stay. The rooms are clean. I was not aware that the room I booked via Hotels.com did not have windows. We upgraded at the hotel to a room with windows and it wasn't expensive. The rooms are noisy though and even though we were on the seventh floor - we could hear the traffic, which is quite noisy in Ho Chi Minh. But overall, our stay was good.

Corridors are very small for such a hotel with this status.

Decent but could have been better.

Due to an incident that happened in this hotel a few months ago they have made it VERY difficult and stringent for allowing guests and overnight guests. This was very annoying to me and was the resulted in me not extending my stay at this hotel.

One evening when I took a shower, the water was VERY hot and was not able to be adjusted to a bearable temperature. The water coming from the toilet spray nozzle was also scolding hot. It was one of the weirdest occurrences of any hotel experience I have ever had.

The gym was very minimal.

The buffet was pretty good.

Staffs are a bit lazy, I sought for assistance to hire taxi but they didn’t help me fully. Once the taxi stopped, their staffs left. Since the driver could only speak Vietnamese, we may misunderstand each other. Last, the toilet is very bad, flushing system almost didn’t work. You have to flush it manually.
