Good value hotel which is upgrading the rooms at the moment. Our room had obviously been recently renovated and was brilliant with everything you would want from a small hotel room. Great shower/ all modern sockets with usb/ good tv with internet connection/ air conditioning which was very good. The bar area really needs some attention with ripped seats and scared walls where old air conditioners have been removed but it does look like work is being done all over the hotel to update and improve all facilities while still being open for business. All in all a solid 8.5 out of 10 for the price.

We were in town to see the Wolves play. For this reason, the hotel was absolutely perfect. A very short walk to the stadium. However, the hotel was run down and the beds were atrocious. But again, because of the location, it was worth it.

Hotel is nothing to look at from the outside, lots of maintenance work going on inside, car park difficult to find and not many spaces.
Staff were great, friendly and helpful.
Room was nice, it was a new refurbished one.
Bed and sofa bed comfy, WiFi was hit and miss.
We had a problem with a leak somewhere which soaked the carpet, staff were very good but there wasn’t a lot they could do with the hotel being fully booked, gave us towels to put on the floor.
Would book again but once all renovation work was completed.

The outside of the building/ car park looked very run down/unkempt but we were pleasantly surprised by the room which had been refurbished ( which the whole hotel is undergoing at present).. comfy bed & pillows , clean , new furniture & bathroom. Only downside was the noise from the window.. sounded like there was no glass - needs to be thickened or a soundproof grille available for the nighttime

Toilet broken. TV not working. No signal in room so needed WIFI - but the WIFI was dire, unusable. I understand you get what you pay for but I stay in hotels for over half of every month and I have never seen a hotel, even this cheap, lacking is such basic amenities. I wont be going back.

I would not recommend this hotel for various reasons. The hotel is situated close enough to the town centre, however it is on the side of a very busy main road. Receptionists were unfriendly, facilities of poor standard. There was no shampoo or body was in my shower, only hand wash. No hairdryer in the room either nor any electricity sockets near the bed. There were only two on the other side of the room. It was very cold in my room (number 4) and the windows are not double glazed/close properly so it was very noisy in the room. The mattress was old and poked my back/side however sheets were clean. The room is very basic but better stay in Premier Inn where a good night sleep is guaranteed.

Rooms were ok. I found that the staff were not friendly. I went to get a plate for my toast at 959 and was told breakfast was over at 10. When I told them I had the toast made just needed a plate and knife to add jam they told me I could eat my toast. I guess dry. They will not keep your bags for a few hours after check out if you are waiting for a train or something you have to take your bags with you or leave them in room and they will end of in lost and found and you can claim later. Doesn’t sound to safe for your luggage that way

Sorry if it’s too harsh but book at your own risk!!!!
Got there around 8pm with kids and the lady and guy at the reception were not friendly, i guess you get what you paid for!
At check in, i was charged £5 for overnight car parking which i didn’t see when i was booking it. Then they take your bank details which i know its for security but no explanation!!!
Got to our room - there was damp in the room and the toilet was not clean (had smear of poo in it).
I couldn’t but think that i may find worse so i went down to report and they offered me a room swap with a sofa bed and 1 double bed. The sofa bed was not very comfortable but i managed it cos we were staying there for a night.
Breakfast was super basic - small portions out at a time and they give you a plate as you enter, not sure why (to limit how much you eat or save how much plate they wash?).

The room was better than expected. Pretty sure the hotel is an ex travelodge and still has remnants of that. Mattress was cheap and not the best for comfort. Better mattresses would be the hotels best way to improve reviews.
Reception staff were very unwelcoming and abrupt. Not a good introduction to new guests at the hotel

Overall for the price paid this is a decent place to stay. Easy walk into town and ample parking for an additional £5 for 24 hours. Room was clean and the bathroom was recently fitted with a good shower. Mattress was well used and found ourselves rolling into the middle and having to clamber back to the sides haha. But as I said, for the money a really good place to stay and I would recommend.

The man working on reception at night… disgusting customer service. Refused to give us ice for a bottle of champagne my partner had bought for my birthday. Asked for a toilet roll. He eye rolled me. Refused to serve us a drink after we’d been to Monmore green dog track…even though it was only 10:30pm and it was supposed to be a 24 hour bar. Quite frankly I support hiring people with special needs. However they do need more training

Very basic hotel but mostly clean. Room was ok but the mattress was terrible, so uncomfortable and soft. There was no support in it at all. Therefore didn’t sleep well. It seems that this hotel is being run on a tight budget and there is nothing wrong with that but it isn’t a good thing if it has been pared back to the extent that it puts people off returning!
The location is really good for accessing the Halls etc for performance or town. It’s about 5 minutes walk and the parking charge is reasonable.
Would I stay again? Unfortunately not as I had such a poor night’s sleep.

Stayed in multiple rooms over a 6 week duration:

- Biggest problem is inability to sleep due to noise: most rooms face out to the main road; windows are entirely non-sound proofed. It feels as though the window is wide open. You WILL get woken early by road traffic. Final night I upgraded to a room facing away from the main road, only to be woken by a drunk bunch of hotel guests loitering drinking at the back entrance for about an hour who pretty much woke up the whole building (reception did nothing despite being asked to).
- Rooms all have that dank smell you often get in really cheap lodges; some kind of mix of body odour versus commercial cleaning products.
- WiFi super unstable and unusable from most rooms.
- Each room has a single plug socket, almost always in the most inconvenient location imaginable.
- Breakfast highly variable - one time it was literally just some baked beans and a few grilled mushrooms (along with the usual toaster and bread).
- Lots of rooms have faulty equipment like non-working lights or broken heating heater.
- Rooms will often have finishing supplies; once the room I was in barely had any toilet roll left. Another time there was barely any shower wash left.

The only Positive is the cheap price and central location. You get what you pay for; fine as long as you don't mind likely only getting a few hours of sleep in the most basic room possible, before being abruptly woken up by noise from something or another.

I wasn't actually gojng to leave a review, but they've had the cheek to email and ask, so here you have it.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Find ANYWHERE else. The whole place is an armpit. The mattress was flat as a pancake, springs hitting you everywhere. The single pillow each person is allocated is wafer thin. Went downstairs to ask for more pillows. Response given, from the most useless, uninspired staff in history was \"No, not one spare one in the whole hotel\".

Tried to buy a drink from vending machine and despite the machine being full, like everything else, it didnt work. The staff, again, could not have cared less or been less helpful.

Between the pillow, the springs in the bed & the staff, you'd get more support from the current government. For your own sake, read this review and go elsewhere. I've stayed at the Novotel and the Premier Inn recently (both were full), both are local, pay the difference and stay there. Or stay at home. Or in a tent.

This place is TRASH!!!

My initial room was unacceptable. Upon entering, I found a dirty towel on the floor, a wet shower tray with hair in it, and a broken window. I immediately reported these issues to the front desk.

The staff were helpful and moved me to a second room without question. However, this room presented an even greater problem: noise. Situated on the ground floor directly next to a traffic light junction, it was subjected to constant noise pollution throughout the night. Every loud vehicle and bass-driven stereo was audible, making it impossible to sleep. Furthermore, the room lacked basic privacy; opening the curtains in the morning revealed a direct view from the busy street, with no net curtains or sheers to shield the interior.

While the staff were polite and responsive, the fundamental issues with the property's maintenance and soundproofing made for a very unpleasant experience. The overall atmosphere and lack of amenities reminded me more of a hostel than an established hotel.

I cannot recommend this property to anyone seeking a peaceful, comfortable, or privte. stay.

Awful, young girls on reception lack any customer service skills. Even advised us to order uber eats instead of eating there. Wifi not working, room freezing. Bed was dipped and you could feel every spring in the matteress so didn't sleep at all. Duvet is the thinnest duvet I've ever had, pillows hard. Shower trickled and drains clearling blocked as water filling up in shower tray. Other guests shouting and arguing. Awful from start to finish

Hotel was average and what I'd expect for a basic travelodge in a city centre. Good parking availability (£5 per day additional charge), room was clean and had all the essentials. Communal carpets were heavily stained (?blood ?coffee ?poo), and the reception staff at check in were MISERABLE....as if they hate their jobs and customers are an inconvenience, not even a smidgen of a smile on arrival. Aside from that I have no complaints, bed comfortable enough, hot water in the shower, loo roll was replenished and bins were emptied.

Check in was quick and efficient and signs and clear room numbers made finding the way around the hotel easy.

The room didn't smell too pleasant when I first arrived so I had to open the window to let some fresh air in. The carpet looked worn and had burn marks and stains on it and the white chair in the room was dirty looking.

Despite the busy road outside, the room was reasonably quiet so I got a good nights sleep even though the mattress on the bed was far from great.

The en-suite bathroom however was much better than the rest of the room. Clean with a great shower and quality towels.

Great location with only a short walk to Wolverhampton city centre and a few minutes away from the football ground.

Lady on reception on check in was lovely and cherful and helpful.

Man later in the evening was rude. We Asked for an extra pillow ( as only 1 pillow each - family of 3) was just told no! No sorry or let me try help you. Just no!!! 0 customer service skills.

However we only stayed for one night. Arrived 6pm and left at 4am. So it was ok for that, but wouldnt stay for longer.

Excellent location for the football which is the reason for our stay. Few min walk to stadium.
Parking on site and a reasonable amount of spaces - was easy to find and only £5 for 24°.
