I got fresh towels everyday👍. The hotel is very near Hakata Station. A popular local ramen shop is just around the corner of the hotel. A local bus stop is just one block away. Very comfortable place.

Good Businessman's Hotel in convenient location
Good size room by Japanese standards. Very clean and overall well maintained \"businessman's hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a varied menu for each of the four nights I was there. Location is within easy walking distance of the main JR Hakata station - however, Google maps had a bit of trouble locating the precise spot so just google \"golf shops\" as there is a large well marked golfing equipment right next door. Bit of a walk to the Canal City shopping mall but if brand shopping is your thing then it is probably worth it.

I did not actually stay here. I selected this hotel based on expedia's category that this was a Fukuoka Airport hotel. I was ooked on a very earlty flight from FUK to HND. However, on checking in I found that the subway did not start early enough for me; there were no shuttle buses to the aiprort; there were no ordinary buses ot the airport; and the staff were very dubious about my chances of getting a taxi. They tried to book me one, but found that it was not possible. The staff felt hat my best chance was to walk about four kilometres to the airport at around 4 am! I think Expedia should remove this from the 'Airport Hotel' category and I shall be taking this up with them.
I spent a few minutes in my room searching on the internet for something closer to the airport and eventually booked one only 5 minutes walk from the airport. No refund was available at Smile Hotel because it was booked on Expedia - but it was clear from what they said that they would have refunded the money otherwise (they asked me whether I had used the room or its bathroom). I shall be taking this up with Expedia.

Smile hotel is very close to Hakata station, it's about 5-10 minutes walk from Hakata Station. Very convenient located, close to many shopping malls, and a Lawson store just across the street. Room is small as expected but has everything you need included water kettle, shampoo and shower gel, toothbrush and other amenities. Room is very clean and you can leave your suitcase in the front desk on the day of arrival before check in and the day you checked out. Just to note that check out time is 10am which is kind of early. Highly recommended this hotel if you visit Fukuoka for its location and price.

Good value hotel near Hakata Station
I just needed a place to sleep before an early morning flight and for the price this hotel can't be beat. Despite the name, it's actually about a 5-10 minute walk from Hakata Station.but that's not really a problem as long as you look up directions beforehand.
The service was excellent, as the guy at the front desk actually helped me carry some of my luggage to my room when he saw how much stuff I was holding. I borrowed an iron from their front desk and it came with a full size ironing board, which is a very nice surprise for a Japanese hotel. It was a nice iron too, quickly heating and easily straightening out my clothes.
