Very close to the train station. Easy to get to from the train station with great facilities and views from the spa.
Nice amenities, although pyjama were a bit too small for me.
Onsen had sauna too, and great views of the city of not too steamed up.
Breakfast was ok too.

Great location across from bus and train terminal. Good front desk service. Very clean room but the standard twin was a little on the small side for two people, but room was functional. Deluxe twin might have been worth the extra cost if we had stayed more than 1 night.

The location is excellent, just in front of the Hakodate JR station and bus station, 2 minutes walk. The room was quite small, as usual for Japanese hotel, but provided everything you need for a night. I stayed on the 12th floor which has very good view from the window. There is onsen on the 13th floor,but sadly with no view. Breakfast is not good enough, compared to other hotels in the same level. Staffs were helpful.

Very clean room, of a pretty average size by North American standards, but spacious for Japan. Very clean bathroom. Polite and helpful service. Included breakfast was fairly average, but free so no real complaints there. Extremely close to the JR train station and local bus station, so very convenient to get around.

JR station and bus terminal is right across the hotel. Morning market is next door to the station. Get the bus/tram day pass. Stops near major tourist attractions. Includes the bus to Mt. Hakodate. Rooms are on the smaller side. Onsen area needs to be refurbished.

\"Ekimae\" means across from the train station, which it is. It is also across from the Morning Market, a tram station, and near the waterfront. Then add in a free buffet breakfast, free WiFi, and an onsen. What more could you want?

Great location, but the facility is really old

I booked this hotel for its convenient location, and it really is 2 minute walking distance from the JR station, the bus station, the tram station, and the morning seafood market. The room is very small even for Japanese standard, and facility appears to be very old. The guest seems to be mostly foreign tourists (I am amazed how people were able to fit two adults and two children in a room) and older Japanese tourists. Consider the great location and the cost, this is a not a bad hotel for a short stay.

Dont waste your trip here unless visiting the Morning Market.
When you find the hotel, make sure u regconize the building from website or memories the hotel name in Jap. They do not have English Name logo for your easy find.

Hotel was near the JR Station and can be seen from the JR station itself. It is also next to the bus terminal. Very convenient location if you're just transiting or intending to travel by bus.

However, the convenience stores, restaurants and shops are all on the opposite side of the hotel requiring to cross the bus terminal to get there.

Breakfast provided was simple but hearty; a good start to each morning. Breakfast ends at 9am, and they'll start clearing the food by 9am.

Overall pleasant experience.

Charged us unexpected charges. Facilities were not maintained will. Walls scuffed and scratched everywhere. Small rooms even by Japan standards. Staff was not helpful and showed an attitude like they didnt care about our stay. Extremely weak air conditioning that could not keep up with summer heat. This facility had an indoor hot spring on the top floor. Only 1 pool. However, ants were all over the floor of the pool. We honestly and obviously have nothing good to say about this facility other than it is close to train station. Many better hotels located next door.

Rooms and other facilities are old but clean to stay. It is 5mins walking from the station and 15mins from the morning market.

hotel is as close the the train station as possible! Onsen/spa on roof is open until 2 a.m. and has a nice view. beds are hard but ok. standard Japanese business hotel pre-fab bathroom where the sink and tub share a single spigot. staff speak average amount of English for the region. I'd stay there again.

Excellent location

The hotel is next to JR Hakodate train station and in front of the bus terminal. It is convenient to go everywhere. The Hakodate seafood morning market is directly opposite the hotel, just walk past Losir Hotel and you can find it. The breakfast is good and there are many choices. Also, the hotel has onsens (hotspring spa) for women and men. The room is tidy and clean and Shiseido amenities are provided in the bathroom.

If you want to stay in this place where all the Japanese business stay and smoke and walk around like zombies, be my guest. Check in time is 3 p.m. even though room is ready, and check out time is 10a.m. They are knocking on your door before 9 a.m. wanting to clean room. The room is a small box, barely able to move around in. The bed was hard as a rock and the pillow was as hard as a rock. At least had a roof over my head. Breakfast with the zombie male Japanese businessmen was stressful. The food was the worst I have eaten as I had been in around 6 hotels on Hokkaido Island in the last l0 days, and the ratings of these hotels were good to excellent. I do NOT recommend this hotel, but try to find another in the area. At least it was beside the train station, and this is the only reason I booked it. Did enjoy the morning fish and seafood market, but in Hakodate, that is about it! Not really worth a visit in my opinion.

Decent hotel in a quiet town

Booked a twin non-smoking room because it is bigger than an economy double. Glad for a bit more space. However there is no in-room washer/dryer as stated in hotels.com. I knew of some business class hotels in Tokyo which do provide in-room washer so was expecting one. A check with hotel staff revealed no such provision. Hotels.com should remove such claim from its website.
Service staff were polite and could manage basic English. Room was clean though dated.Hotel is 3 mins walk to JR station and 5 mins walk to morning market.However Hakodate has not much to offer for tourists.

Location is excellence as it is just location in front of Hakodate JR Station & bus terminal as well as few minutes walk to tram stop. You can just take the bus from the bus terminal in front of the hotel to go up to Mont Hakodate (20 minutes ride) or alternatively take the tram to the foot hill to take cable car up for different view / experience and come down by bus. The bus will stop right in front of your hotel. Morning fish market right opposit the hotel (beside Hakodate JR Station) is a must to visit. Remember must bargain oh.

Convenient and right next to the station. It has a relaxing hot springs bath on the top floor but offered no view from the window in the bath. It's great to get breakfast but the restaurant was super crowded. I didn't trust the cleanliness of the food due to so many people coughing and handling the spoons etc.

Great price, Great location. Right outside of JR Hakodate station. Good onsen for the hotel at this price range. Breakfast was sufficient and surprisingly one morning there was Hotate(scallops) and squid sashimi!!! (not that you need any hotel breakfast bcoz Hakodate morning market is just a stone throw away.
Room was a bit small. But it's Japanese standard so I can't complaint.
I'll definitely stay here again.

Service rendered at front office was impeccable. On arrival we deposited our luggage at the front office as we were early and returned later to check-in. My wife mistakenly handed in the wrong luggage tag which was issued by our hotel in Sapporo, however the front office staff, a gentleman relentlessly search for our luggage although the tag was obviously different from the one issued by the hotel. We discovered our mistake and apologized to him but he was very accomodating and understanding. The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the JR Hakodate station nearby. Very convenient to walk to the station and morning fish market opposite. Bus interchange and tram station is also opposite the hotel. Very convenient to go anywhere in Hakodate. The Onsen on the top floor is a welcome bonus. There is a ramen store just across the road which serves one of the best ramen I have eaten in Hakodate and it closes late.Be prepared to queue during peak period as with all ramen shops in Japan, there are very small with seating capacity for about 12 pax. This hotel is highly recommended and I will definitely stay again when I am back in Hakodate.

禁煙室で予約したが喫煙室を準備されていた。
急遽禁煙室に変更してもらったが、3階の端
っこの部屋でしかも窓のカーテンを開けると外壁工事用の足場と飛散防止ネット。最悪だった！
部屋変更のときもスタッフの対応はこちらが間違って予約したから、再手続きしてやっている感満載で感じの良いものではなかった！

部屋が寒い！室温が22℃であったため温泉であったまっても直ぐに冷えてしまうが、個々に暖房運転ができないため我慢するしかなかった。
暖房運転は設定温度が20℃のためなのかエアコンは冷房運転しかできなかった。

駅からとても近く電車利用の場合にはとても助かります。市電乗り場、バス乗り場に近いのでどこに行くにも便利です。大浴場はとても広く気持ちいいです。朝食は並だと思います。お盆時期に宿泊しましたが宿泊者数に対してエレベーターの数が足りていないです。エレベーター待ちがストレスになります。今回シングルルームへの宿泊でしたが部屋はとても狭いです。スーツケースを広げるのも一苦労でした。
