Everything was exceptional from before till our stay, our 2nd time staying here. Though we did not get the room with the special ionizer wardrobe, we got the one with massaging devices, not one but 2 in a room! Fantastic hospitality, easy check-in, amenities (hair mask pack was removed this time), beverage service, luggage storage and great breakfast. Perfect for families with young kids, just choose the correct room size. Everywhere was easily accessible and buses to international airport is just 0.5km from hotel.

Great location just next to Hakata Station. Lots of shops and food nearby. Taxi stand is a stone's throw away, or you can try to flag one down just outside on the main road. Room for three is a little cramped due to the third bed being placed right in the centre, but we worked around it for just one night. Each bed could possibly sleep 2 smaller sized people, but if you are bigger built then one person to a bed is necessary. Check in was easy. There is a complimentary hot drinks machine on the ground floor with covered take away paper cups. Overall a good deal.

Location is great and the reason I picked this one. Across the street of the Hakata station and Toyota rental. Check in process is the same as every other hotel. Check out is also quick. Room is clean. Microwave you can use at the lobby along with the bar chairs and lounge.

Hotel Forza Hakata-Eki continues to be our go to hotel in Fukuoka. It’s right across the Hakata station making transport very easy all across Fukuoka. We like taking the bus and the terminal is just a quick walk.

Overall enjoyed our stay for a few reasons. Very good location - just next to main Hakata Station and close to a lot of shopping. Reasonably quiet rooms. Size of rooms is what you’ll expect from Japanese hotels in cities. Only issue I had was that the aircon and WiFi broke down on the first night. Had to sleep with the window open (thankful that weather was cool) No service recovery by hotel.

Spacious rooms (considering the price point and location). Clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Bath/Shower and standard toilet all very clean.
Very helpful and welcoming staff making check-in a breeze. Was able to drop off luggage early as we ventured out to Hakata for more food and shopping.
The hotel was just around the corner from Hakata Station taxi stand so made it very convenient for us as we left at 6am to start heading over to the airport. Smooth self-check out process at the machines (it takes your room keys back and makes sure no outstanding charges).
There was a vending machine, microwave, and coffee machine in the lobby (we also had a coffee machine in our room, but not all the rooms had one).
Will definitely consider this hotel for future stays again!

Extremely convenient location to public transport and is walkable to many and diverse types of dining options. Room is not big but comfortable, with a small bathtub. Eco-friendly with various cleaning options available for the room. Good amenities. Only issue was the pillow choices - could not find one that was comfortable, so overall sleep quality was not fantastic. My husband didn't have an issue though, so probably a subjective experience in this regard.

Hotel Forza Chikushi-Guchi1 has been our got to place in Fukuoka because of its proximity to Hakata Station. Rooms are slightly bigger than the average Japan hotel. Coffee is free flowing and the buffet breakfast is good.

This year however we noticed that the rooms are dusty and not thoroughly cleaned. Pillows were very limited per room and we had to ask for more pillow which they ran out off.

Biggest shock was that we couldn’t leave our bags when we checked out and the front desk people were directing us to use the paid lockers at Hakata Station. One guest even hurled bad words at the front desk lady who couldn’t explain why they couldn’t keep the bags. I was able to convince our front desk person to reluctantly stow our luggage but she also was clear why they were not allowing luggae to be stored. Front desk said we can come back by 1pm but we insisted on 4pm given our flight was still in the evening. We hit shocked when we came back and saw a sign saying the hotel was closed and none of the doors were open. We were worried that we would couldn’t get our stuff bud circled back door where we found a doorbell. Thankfully someone answered and gave us back our luggage. The guy said the hotel was closing down for maintenance.

Forza should have put out that notification or at least helped guests with their luggage storage using one of their location.

A bit of a deviation from our usual experience at Forza Hakataeki Chikushi-Guchi1 but all’s well that end well!

Hotel Forza Hakataeki Chikushi - Guchi1 is our go to hotel in Fukuoka. It conveniently located next to Hakata Station where you’ll find everything. Buffet breakfast is good and there is unlimited coffee. Rooms are small but not tiny.

I was however surprised when we were checking out and the front desk reception told me we could leave our bags which was unusual. Days before a lot of people had left their bags and we were expecting to do the same. I had to insist with the front desk reception saying we are a frequent customer of the hotel and who the reluctantly took our bags for safekeeping, initially insisting we come back for it after 2hours when our flight is still in the evening. The hotel eventually took our bags.

One guest hurled bad words at the front desk lady who was insisting that their bags be kept at the train station pay locker. Unusual for a hotel.

No reason for initially refusing to keep our bags. Maybe they can revert with a response on why they were refusing to keep the bags.

This hotel is 3 min away from Hakata Station. Very convenient to major transportation and shopping areas such as Hands and Amu Plaza.
They were accommodating in holding our luggage for 4 days while we took a side trip and returned for our stay.
The room on the annex side was large for 3 adults with 3 beds. It was remodeled with an updated shower with jets and we loved the laundry steamer/refresher in the room. We used it every day and our clothes came out wrinkle free. The coin laundry is on the other side of the hotel so it was a little inconvenient to get to.
We had the buffet breakfast in the hotel. It had the typical Japanese breakfast items that didn’t change during our stay. By the 5th day, it was a little tiresome, but the quality and flavor of the food was good.
Overall, I highly recommend the hotel for the value, convenience and quality of service.

Merits: Property was very close to the Hakata train station. Shopping areas and restaurants were all walking distance. The convenience stores were right outside the hotel.

Demerits: What was disappointing was our request for an extra hour to check out was denied despite us staying for 7 nights. We tried to dine in the hotel restaurant and wanted a certain table but we were being forced to take another table that we didn't like.

But I would say the plus points outweighed the not so good service.

The overall stay is satisfactory, near the Hakata station, quite convenient for shopping, dining, transportation and taking night snack.
I think the accommodation is also good, the facility and room services is well provided. Two things that make me kind of uncomfortable, is first the room area is tight, don't have too much space, and second is the air conditioner doesn't work well.

The hotel is ideally located just outside of Hakata Station, Chikushi exit. There is also a Family Mart convenience store immediately next door. There is also a back entrance to AMU EST (food department store) within Hakata Station and a Yamato Transport within AMU EST for those with shipping needs. There were no views from my room on the 4th floor facing North toward the next building's fire exit which made it difficult to bring some daylight into the room vs. privacy.

This hotel is conveniently located near hakata station and also close to a car rental place. Great base to do your exploring of Fukuoka area. Our moderate healing room was compact but the massage chair is a great perk in the room, albeit the chair is quite worn. I was looking forward for a bath (hotel provided bath salts) but there’s some mould/dirt build up on the bath hardware, so cleanliness can be improved.

Very quick check-in with a screen at lobby counter. You enter your name and find your reservation. You get your keys from it as well. So efficient! Conveniently right next to the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station, also right next to a Family Mart. Will stay here again!

It was ok, the room advertised when booking was totally different. It looked bigger when advertised but when i actually entered, it was different style and size. I would definitely screen shot the hotel room picture of the actual booking then compare to the actual rooms you get. The japanese blanket in side the sheet had stains on it. Didn't see it until day before leaving. The interior rug is run down. Its seems the hotel needs an upgrade. For the prices, on the expensive side. Location, location, location.
It was a very convenient hotel, super close to Hakata Station. Lawson, Family Mart and 7-11 conbini is very close by. Rooms in Japan are very small compared to rooms in the US, so don't expect much. All in all it was ok.

Registration took a while even though they were not very busy.we had to register with an automated system on a computer but a staff member still walked us through everything. I'm not sure how this was supposed to make things easier or faster. No safe in the room, overpriced breakfast option compared to other hotels. Inconsistent air conditioning temps.
