Rooms were clean although a bit outdated. The breakfast was very good, nice selection! The staff was very nice. The area outside was ok the surroundings alot of homeless people but didnt bother you. All in all was good

The hotel was great, walkable distance from from many temples and Khao San Road etc. The staff were all incedibly friendly and helpful! The only down side was the actual street the hotel is located on.

The room is very comfortable but the lobby and public areas are very hot with no AC. The area around the hotel has homeless people and no convenient shops.

Great location within walking distance to the Grand Palace, Khaosan Road and Wat Phra Chetuphon.
As stated in other reviews, the neighborhood in the surrounding block is not the best, however it never felt unsafe. The entrance to the hotel is also a little odd as it is from an alley (causing confusion for taxi drivers) and you enter through the garage. However, once inside, the hotel is very nice. Super friendly and helpful staff, clean and nice rooms and excellent breakfast.

Horrible neighborhood, unsafe, place didn’t look like photos. Entrance is through parking garage. Bathrooms smelled. No view as advertised other than an overgrown alley.

Horrible neighborhood, run down not like photos

This hotels pictures and ratings did not align with the experience. We chose it to be close to grand palace hit after walking out in the evening the first night and observing drivers, homeless and a woman peeing on the street we decided not to walk and take cabs from the hotel. Would’ve been better off choosing a nicer place further away. The neighborhood was very uncomfortable. The photos on hotels.con are very deceiving — the place is rundown, small, and the bathroom smelled bad as it picked up fumes from trash collection next door. The lobby is very run down with a makeshift table set up for check in. The “city view” advertised was a window into an overgrown lot outside a window full of pigeon poop. Would not recommend to anyone.

Very helpfull staff. Excellent breakfast with real coffee. Quiet location near tourist attractions but a bit difficult to find occidental restaurants nearby. Too few chairs around the pool but great terasse on the roof. Overall a very great stay.

The room and service were great. They helped us with booking airport transfert and were very reactive with all our changes 9flight was cancelled and then delayed, we arrive very lately in the night).

Nice small heritage building lovely room but limited in amenities. basic bathroom and breakfast. you can take a bike to tour the area which is cool.
the immediate neighbourhood area is a bit seedy at night but it is a short walk to the museums and Palace complex and the khaosan is 10 minutes walk (far enough not to hear the racket at night)

I found the location perfect for visiting temples and places. The immediate area around the hotel is a little run down with some rough sleepers but at no point did I feel unsafe.
Hotel was faultless, lovely staff with great service. Breakfast was substantial with plenty of choice. Rooftop terrace great for an evening beer overlooking the city. Room kept clean on a daily basis. a/c a bit noisy at night but that’s a/c for you.

Breakfast was solid: eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, yogurt. Had some more typical Thai food at breakfast also which was nice.

One night stopover

Stayed one night as a stopover to break up flight to Nz from UK. Hotel easy to find by taxi driver. (He did use his gps). Friendly fast check in. Room clean, bed comfy. AC good. I needed ear plugs to sleep at night as a little noisy. Shower hot and powerful, just didn’t drain very well. Nice rooftop to relax in. Breakfast was nice, eggs, omelet, screamed fried cooked to order. Yummy fresh fruit yoghurt, toast, cereal. Easy distance to walk to restaurants near Khao San Road. Went to Reclining Buddha in the morning before flight later that day. Straight forward 20 mins walk. Will be returning to Bangkok for 4 days on return to UK and will stay here again.

New rooms with a nice dwcor

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at Grand double room for about $95 AUD.
The room was a good size. New, clean, in bronze - gold colours. I loved the decor not only of the room but also of the most common areas.
Pool - nice pool but no sun as under a roof... So no sunbathing. Very unfortunate. Which also means that the water does not get as warm as it could with a direct sinlight.
Breakfast - not great. I had breakfast because I like having something to eat in the morning, but my husband, after having his first two breakfasts decided to skip it.
Our room had a bath tub and no shower, which, if you are to have a shower, the water would go to almost half of the bathroom.
NO HOT WATER fist two nights. This is my biggest disappointment about this hotel. The water would come out warm but not HOT enough to enjoy a nice shower (and I've don't even like hot showers but it was even cold for me).
I complained about hot water on our first night and it was only resolved in two days.
Reception area - free biscuits tea and Coffey. Biscuits were superb.
Staff - helpful but two of the reception people were not even local so when I called a hotel to help to give instructions to the taxi driver - they could not even communicate. No big deal - had to use Google maps.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would have stayed again if the breakfast was better and the was no issue with hot water and the pool (unfortunately this can't be fixed) didn't have the roof above.

Les chambres sont propres et grandes avec mini bar ce qui permet de mettre des boissons fraîche. Le personnel est très accueillant avec le sens du service client.
La piscine est un plus.
Les terrasses sur le toit permettent d'avoir des vues sur Bangkok
L'emplacement de hôtel est parfait environ 10 minutes du palais, temple du bouddha coucher et de kaosan road.

Personalen var så snäll och hjälpsam. Fint, stort rum. Skönt liten pool som var så bekvämt efter en dag sightseeing. Hotel är gång avstånd till många sevärdheter. Skulle rekommenderas även om det är lite nedgånget direkt utanför.

Proximité de l'hôtel très sale

Chambre confortable, calme et propre. Petit déjeuner très copieux et savoureux. La petite piscine de l'hôtel est très appreciable après une journée de balade. Des vélos sont mis à disposition gratuitement, mais il faut avoir le courage d'aller pédaler dans le flux de circulation très dense.
Hôtel bien situé à proximité des sites les plus importants à visiter à pied.
Seul bémol, la proximité de l'hôtel est vraiment très très sale, avec des poubelles à même la rue et de très mauvaise odeurs. C'est vraiment bien dommage pour l'image de l'hôtel.

Dejligt hotel - gammel byggestil og kun 5 etager højt. Ligger i \"old town\", og i området er der en del hjemløse, men de generer ingen. I gåafstand til mange forskellige ting, og gode \"street kitchen\" i nærheden.

호텔 자체는 그 가격에 아주 좋습니다. 수영장 있고 조식 주고 객실 시설도 괜찮고 깔끔하게 관리도 잘 해줍니다.
다만 우리가 사용했던 객실은 수영장 옆이었는데 모터소리인지 배수로 소리인지 마치 폭포 밑에서 자는 것 같이 소음에 시달렸어요. 그 방은 객실로 쓰면 안될것 같은데.
다른 객실들은 괜찮겠죠.
다른 후기에서 지적했듯 호텔 주변 환경이 너무 안좋다보니 좀 그렇지만 그 덕에 호텔비가 저렴한 것일겁니다.
