Friendly and helpful staff. We were in transit for 19hrs in Brunei. Our flight delayed and reached past midnight but the staff still waited and picked us up at airport. We had simple buffet breakfast at hotel. Then had city tour 9.40am - 3pm. Then sent us to airport. The bed was comfortable and room was clean. There was hot and cold water dispenser in the room. Thank you for all the complimentary services, it made our transit and first visit to Brunei an enjoyable and memorable one.

The airport shuttle was super convenient and really helped us out. Breakfast was pretty basic. After getting completely soaked in the rain, we asked for some extra towels—there were only two bath towels and two small washcloths in the room. To our surprise, they actually charge for extra towels! Definitely not what we expected.

This is a real travellers hotel. They have 2 buildings, the first one where you checkin and long term residents stay there. The sexond building is for tourists. The hotel offers a free airport transfer service so remember to book in advance otherwise it will cost you around 10BND each way via Dart. The breakfast is really poor but that doesnt matter because of the benefit of the transfer and most importantly the hotel offers a free day tour of the highlight. Boy-ok was our guide and he was fantastic. The power in the shower was great and we slept comfortably on the beds. This is not a glamorous hotel but it is an authentic travellers hotel and i would recommend this is you're okay to go without the luxuries. The only thing i would suggest an improvement on is making sure that the room has AC turned on prior to a customer's stay as it gets really hot and it takes a while for the room to cool down.

The rooms were hot because the ac needs a key to turn on. It takes over an hour to cool the room. The faucet leaked. There was a festival going on close to the hotel and it was very noisy on a Weekday night. The refrigerator froze my medicine. The front office and restaurant staff speak limited English. The restaurant is only open for breakfast.

There’s a free tour but it’s not mentioned on website.

The Staff and Location are the Best!

Someone from my adventure travel group recommended this property to stay, so truly there were no surprises as I was briefed in advance. The condition of the property was average. But where this place shines is the staff is wonderful and helpful. Also a huge benefit are the free transportation options for the airport and for local sightseeing and the walking distance to the waterfront is fantastic. I also enjoyed having the breakfast being included. I don't need a fancy hotel, just friendly, comfortable and safe. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was pretty good, close to the Omar ali Saifudin mosque and downtown in general. The airport pick up and drop off was a great addition and efficient. They even let us check out an hour later. The room cleanliness was all right, but there were some rusty parts in the bathroom and overall the place could use a bit of a touch up. The room had mosquitoes, so we had to spray it with repelent we asked from the front desk. The free water you could fill your bottle with was at the lobby, that was a nice touch. Breakfast was ok with several local options, the only thing I didn't like much was that nearly everything was spicy hot.

I love having airport shuttle for free and even free scheduled transportation going to the city. The food is good. The only negative I can tell is there’s no electric outlet near the bed so it’s hard to charge the cell phone unless it’s far from you. The price per night for the room is very reasonable.

The hotel was the only one in the downtown area that I found offered a free shuttle service to/from the airport (as well as being able to drop off/pick up at sights in the area).

The location is behind a youth center so is quiet and just around the bend from one of the main thoroughfares. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is nice with shower partitioned from the rest of the bathroom.

The wifi is very slow and buffers a lot — but when in Brunei, do you really need to be connected all the time? Be happy!

Overall, the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Would recommend travelers to stay here.

Good value for the room. The free shuttle to the main tourist sites and to the airport is the best! Thank you for that wonderful service. Most tourist spots walkable from hotel including a neaby park where we did a hike and saw a bunch of macaque monkeys. Breakfast included was ok bit did lack variety after 3 days. We got to use the pool behind the hotel for $1. That was a bonus. Bed a little hard but manageable. Would reccommend.

Not great for sleeping. Even though there are blackout curtains, the room brightens up in the early morning due to a translucent bathroom door. The traffic nearby is very loud during the day, it quiets down at night, but it starts again very early in the morning. The breakfast was cold.

Great Budget hotel with free airport shuttle

The airport shuttle was great! They also have a loop for the main sights around town. Both are free! The breakfast was subpar, but it’s free and the room was $50 a night so it is expected. The bed was very hard but I still slept fine. The water pressure in the shower was incredible! I want to take that home with me!

I won’t recommend staying here

stayed here for 4 nights and definitely won’t be back again.
First, the cleanliness of the room was very disappointing. We found a dead cockroach in our bedroom and bathroom was very smiley during all our staying.
Secondly, having the shuttle bus service is nice but our shuttles to and from the AIRPORT were significantly delayed. Especially the drop off shuttle was delayed for more than half an hour (after I’ve confirmed with the front desk many times the day before), at the end we have to rush to the airport by Dart and very worry we won’t be able to catch the flight.

Conveniently located at Bandar Seri Begawan, This hotel is very close to a lot of places including shopping centers, restaurants and The King's Palace etc. Stayed here for 2 nights and had planned to go to Labuan Federal Territory (Malaysia) but since Serasa Ferry Terminal was a bit far away was thinking of cancelling but thanks to the shuttle service and with a very low fare was able to book my trip without any worries. Was picked up right on time and dropped off back to the hotel right on time. Breakfast was great no doubt and with the price I paid for the hotel, it was no doubt a great deal. Lovely staff and nice shuttle drivers. Would not hesitate to rebook this hotel if I return to Brunei Darussalam. Great country as well!

이번에 두번째 이 호텔에 숙박인데 처음보다 실망스러웠어요.

방을 두 번 변경하게 되었는데 처음에는 방바닥이 안 깨끗해서 바꿔달라고했더니, 그게 깨끗한거라고 하더군요. 어찌됐든 옮겨서 두번째 방에서는 씻고 잘 있다가, 전기가 갑자기 팍하고 나갔어요. 그래서 옮기게 됐는데, 옮기는 과정에서 사과한마디 없이 제가 꼭 원해서 옮기는 것 처럼 이야기하더라고요.(Do you want to change the room? 이라고. 전기 고쳐줬으면 안바꿨을텐데 전기 못고친다고 본인들이 먼저 옮기라고 해놓고 저한테 그렇게 말해서 매우 짜증났네요.와이파이도 잘 안되고(브루나이 자체가 인터넷이 좋진 않아요), 조식도 매번 비슷해서 3박 숙박중에 하루는 조식 안먹었어요.

가격대비 공항 및 관광지에 갈 수 있는 무료셔틀 등이 있어서 매우 좋은 호텔이라고 생각하긴 하지만, 방 컨디션과 낮 타임에 있는 직원에 대한 교육은 다시했으면 좋겠어요.

The \"free\" airport transfer and shuttle service was worth every penny (sarcasm). The shuttle driver was consistently 30 minutes late for EVERY scheduled pickup. He always had an excuse, and really did not care at all that he kept his customers waiting. Even when returning to the airport, while I was sitting in the lobby in full view, he kept me waiting for 20 minutes past my scheduled pickup time for no reason at all except that he was lazy and didn't care about getting started.

Nice new hotel with great shower. An additional mirror or full length mirror with a shelf in the bedroom would be an advantage as would another rubbish bin. The restaurant serves local food and is good value and the free shuttle to the airport was much appreciated especially as taxis are expensive in Brunei. You can walk easily to the town and the water village and catch a bus for $1 to Gadong and other areas.

I highly recommend this hotel for Brunei travellers. Very nice and clean room and bathroom. Very cold A/C. Big and spacious room than usual hotels. Very accommodating hotel staff. And on top of it they have free shuttle service to airport and nearby attractions. Two thumbs up!

A good choice for downtown.

A weekend visit to explore Bandar Seri Begawan. The hotel was straightforward kind of place, having a comfortable room located in central BB - not that there is too much in BB. It was a few minutes walk to the nearby museums, market, 5 minutes walk to the river (for a boat to Kampong Ayer) and only a few minutes to the Radisson where Avis Rent-a-Car is located.
The room was fine - functional and clean. The bed was comfortable, but the bedsheet was very thin (I could see the pattern of the matress through it) and a bit rough. The location was reasonably quite although there seemed to be classical music playing softly in the corridors in the mornings from about 08:30/09:00 (or maybe it came from ourside). The room had blackout curtains which worked well except that the bathroom did not and the light from the bathroom shone through the glass bathroom door straight into the room. So best to bring eye patches if you need them.
The shower had hot water and good pressure.
I noted there was no safe in the room. There is a fridge and instant tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was 'okay'. Fo a vegetarian there were baked beans (quite sweet) and fried potatos, along with bread for toasting. There was an egg station for omlettes or fried eggs for those that like them. Breakfast was until 10:00am but it got quite bare from about 09:30am without replenishment.
Staff all friendly and welcoming.
Free Transfer to airport is included, but cannot book too many weeks in advance.

Shuttle bus service was helpful but also restrictive, as you could only depart every two hours and picking up other guests meant you sometimes had to go with them to their destination, as there was only one bus.... Room was tiny and the bed was rock hard. Bathroom was so small the door wouldn't open all the way as it hit the countertop. Breakfast was good but cold. Coffee was horrible. Room was clean and decent enough for the price. Not much to do to keep yourself busy in Brunei, particularly on a Friday so don't book your stay too long. No swimming pool. Decent Wi-Fi. Staff was lovely but sometimes seemed a bit confused by shuttle bus requests.

The staff all in the hotel was really friendly and provided excellent service during our stay. We had 2 night stay in Brunei, the hotel bus took us to many place in Brunei!!! Thanks to the hotel and staff there, we had a lovely and enjoyable time in Brunei: ))

stayed from 2nd to 5th nov. it was GREAT. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. thank you very much for the room. i mean we booked a standard room but we're given a junior suite. it was very comfortable. the breakfast was good. we managed to stay full until dinner, seriously. they provided shuttle service to common area. i chose this hotel mainly for this reason. it was a recommended accomondation if you're looking for a comfortable hotel but with affordable price.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Most places of interest in BSB are within walking distance from the hotel. Otherwise, there’s a free hotel shuttle bus service that makes going around BSB convenient. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating (Rowena and May were particularly kind to us. Fazli was prompt replying to my email. The chef at the dining room was helpful with our breakfasts.) We enjoyed our stay at The Capital. Thank you.

Very clean rooms - wonderful staff - - chef even made gluten-free pancakes with sprinkles for my daughter - great location close to many sites - only wish there was a pool. A great stay overall!

For the price point, you can have no complaints. This is a no frills hotel, but is clean and the staff friendly.

The airport shuttle is a plus point, although there is some rigidity with the return journey - they will try to accommodate you though.

The staff were smiley and helpful, although they could have helped more with itineraries etc. The rooms (which are NOT suites, despite the name!), are more than adequate. Clean and basic. There was an ok breakfast buffet.

If you don't want to pay Radisson prices, this hotel is perfectly fine.

Great, affordable hotel in BSB

Stayed here for one night before an Ulu Temburong NP trip. They offer a free shuttle from the airport (even late at night) and the very reasonable price includes a nice buffet breakfast with your choice of eggs. Staff were helpful and friendly, explaining the local area and top sights. We didn't have time to use their free tourist shuttle bus around BSB but it's another great feature if you have time. Our room was huge with separate kitchen and living / dining room. No complaints whatsoever!
