My Times Hotel room was clean and I consider it to be an excellent “price performer.”

Most impressive were staff members who helped me and answered a few questions regarding my one-night stay. Most notable was Mr. Somady who arranged, with minimal advance notice, a driver who took me on a multi-hour, fascinating experience inside and outside the city.

Nearby the Times Hotel is a nice running track running track that I discovered and used for some morning exercise.

The property was very dirty, changed rooms 3 times because of dirt and horrible smell. Dirty workers clothes strewn on the dirty carpet in the hallway. Bed sheets gross and stained. Bed smell like old sweat. Left after 30 minutes and 3 room attempts in the middle of the night.

Skip this place. Even for $50 a night, the rooms are moldy and the furniture is thread bare. It just feels gross. Plus the “sound proof” rooms apparently do not take into consideration the outside wall and we got to listen to a crew playing with a gas powered leaf blower until 11:30pm then a asphalt packer until after midnight. RIGHT outside the window in the alley.

Had made arrangements days before arriving to be picked up at Brunei airport. No one showed up and 45mins later took a taxi to the hotel. When asked why no one had been at the airport, front desk woman fidgeted with papers and mumbled and did not give a proper explanation.

The Time Hotel was conveniently close to the airport and part of a mall/movie theater, which made inexpensive entertainment and food options a breeze!
I was going to get the cheaper room originally, but as I was staying in Brunei for a couple weeks I upgraded to a larger mid-size room, which offered a LOT of space and I was happy for.
Unfortunately, the rooms and property needs some renovation. The carpeting was kind of disgusting everywhere, and the halls often had a smell to them.
I tried to call for room service one day and called the # over several hours but no one ever answered.
I'd also skip the morning buffet as it wasnt really worth it and there were often ants swarming the watermelon plate.
With a little investment and love, this could be a fantastic hotel, but as is, I'd use it for its convenience and location moreso than the hotel itself.

I stayed here once when they first opened. Over the years, the lack of proper maintenanceand caring, the establishment has fallen into despair...ripped and soiled upholstery. And it is too bad. It is disappointing.

Disappointing service. We booked a room as we had a 14 hours transit period in Brunei airport. We thought it would be best to get a room and sleep rather than stay in the airport all day. Good thing about the hotel is they gave us the room earlier as we explained it will be a day use as we had to leave at 10 pm that evening so we would not use it overnight. Appreciated that they agreed but then when we went to the room it was only a double bed although we paid for a triple. Went back to reception and they said they will send an extra bed. The sink was leaking told them when they brought the bed they said ok, I thought they would send someone but no. The worse part of it is after we told them we need to sleep we realised they gave us a room 215 next to some extremely loud industrial extractions vent. It was impossible to sleep. So the purpose of paying for a room there was pointless. I feel the service provided by the receptionist at check in was appalling. She did not say hello nor the other staff actually. She also seemed very bothered to be at work. And they just ignored the fact that we needed a room to sleep and gave us a room on the loud side. £64 spent and got no value out of it. Staff should be more respectful to paying guests and be trained to identify guests needs and act on it. As a hotel manager myself, The service was of a very poor standard.

Hotel reception did not inform us the actual amenities that are due to us. I made earlier request via e-mail to be picked up from the arrival area of the airport but no one was there. We had to phone the hotel for this service which was stated in the package. The daily replenishment of coffee/tea/sugar sachets was erratic; no milk creamer was provided. Breakfast served was monotonous. Definitely, next time I will book in another hotel.

The Times Hotel is probably about 10 years old but it definitely needs some upgrading. The wall and carpet are dirty and worn. The furnishings are worn and should be replaced.
The staff are not friendly but they will assist you when requested.
I booked the hotel via hotel.com and it indicated a window with city view and balcony for the room. No such luck! In fact,our view is the back side of a hotel wing.
Our room is situated on the third floor and the fourth floor is where a theater is situated, and it plays action movies everyday. Good thing I had brought along ear plugs!

Worst stay ever at hotel in Brunei.Receptionist was unfriendly during check-in. Told her im expecting my delayed baggage to arrive midnight. No call from receptionist whatsoever. I waited till morning, called the airport to find out they have delivered at midnight but the receptionist did not bother to call to inform. Had to call receptionist in the morning to trace my baggage.Lousy service. If you are staying at level 2, you need to walk through the lobby each time you want to access the pool. No privacy. Internet is unstable and slow.I am quite glad I am moving to another hotel after this.

Just the hotel I need

Have stayed in several different mid range hotels in BSB but I rate this one of the best with its modern, clean line and unfussy decor. Stayed one night. The shuttle to & fro the airport was a bonus. But best, the staff were amazing and ever so helpful to assist with our huge bags. From the guys to the security bloke at the hotel, they were all very attentive and assisted with relatives visiting us! Made our day. Thank you

House keeping and cleanliness.

My two Rooms cleanliness are considered clean and tidy. However there was few cracked tiles here and there in my toilet. The Soap was hard and not suitablle for my skin for bathing. Hence I brought my own soap and used it for my shower.

Air conditioning system looking good.

The two pillows were hard and I felt not comfortable for sleeping. I was finally sleeping withou pillows.

The towels provided were excelleny. Nice and soft.

I had a really wonderful time. The proximity of the hotel to the airport made it more convenient for me considering it was my first time travelling alone. I would definitely consider staying in this hotel in my next stay in brunei.
