There is no free airport shuttle service despite still being advertised, it was discontinued last year and now costs a minimum of $15. Additionally during my stay the pool was out of order and there was no hot water in the room. The staff were friendly but overall the hotel is pretty dirty with mould in the bathroom, it needs a good clean and to be taken better care of.

The hotel has a convenient free airport shuttle and is in walking distance of the main sights and waterfront in the city so it’s a real win for a short stay… just request a room at the back of the hotel as the front is on a busy road so can be quite noisy.

Breakfast is 3/10, hot food was cold and mainly fried, no light healthy options, even fruit was scarce although very available in Brunei.

Beds are comfy, but the rooms are old and the floor was very worn and scuffed, iron board was ripped and stained. Bathroom tiles are old and mouldy in corners.
Limited TV channels, but could log into Netflix and YouTube available. Free Wifi in rooms and public areas with good reception.

Totally recommend Gadong Night Market for dinner (approx 2.5km) cash only. Freshly made affordable street food widely used by locals with plenty of areas to sit. Kept very clean.

I spent 3 nights here. Overall, it's a nice hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient! The breakfast varied each day and was consistently excellent!! After a lot of walking, it was great to relax by the pool!! One thing to keep in mind is that it's a bit of a walk to and from downtown. However, the 42 or 45 buses stop right at the hotel, making it quite convenient!

Most important thing for was the interaction with the staff which I found to be fantastic. I also got free transportation to the airport on my departure. The only issue I had was the inability to get a power adapter for my Australian V shaped phone and the laptop charger to work. They could not help me get one from their service desk. I had to walk into many shops to look for one and I found one with help from many people. I left my adapter in the reception area telling them they could give it to the next overseas visitor.

We stayed here in 2022 and this is the second time, each time for 11 nights. We really like the location as there are many restaurants, supermarket, money changer etc... just behind the hotel. Weekend market is held in the field between the Emporium Supermarket and The One Mall. Every evening we walked to Kampong Ayer Water-village and to Yayasan and the park next to the grand mosque (walkable distance). To go to further places, we use Dart Application to hire a taxi. The hotel also provided us shuttle van to and fro the airport for free. If we have to come again to Brunei, we will certainly stay at Badiah Hotel.

Staff friendly and helpful. Even though we had some miscommunications these were rectified fairly. Great location as you can walk to most places although it is hot. Best to hire your own car if you are here or ensure you have the dart app. Lots of places to go and eat in centre which I’d recommend. Pool was closed!

Well maintained hotel. The room we stayed was clean and comfortable. They provided free airport transfers which is a big thing for us. Buffet breakfast was good we enjoyed it. The only thing that affected our whole experience was the traffic that day, for a 15 mins travel from airport to hotel took more than an hour to get there because they was a celebration happening. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel

Big rooms with super friendly staff. Good restaurants in hotel but not much else around except a grocery store and breakfast food is luke warm at best. Using taxi and arranging tours is the way to go. Hotel includes airport pick-up and drop-off which is very helpful. Would stay here again.

Not all towels are provided at first hand but upon request. Hotel is near to eateries, supermarket and small retail shops. Free transfer to and fro airport is a big plus. Able to take a short cut walking route to city centre and the places of interest within the city area. Hotel's trips recommendations are too pricey and the recommended $20 per hour (min booking for 3 hrs) chauffeured transport to places of interest is too steep. Did not take any of these recommendations. Moved around on our own to places of interest.

First off, I must say that the staff was incredibly nice and responsive to every concern that I raised. My stay was affordable, the breakfast buffet was decent and it was an easy 20-minute walk to the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and water taxis.

That said, there were MANY concerns I had.
1. The bathmat was dirty with black and brown footprints.
2. I pressed the \"make up room\" button, but my room wasn't cleaned 3 hours later and the button light was turned off.
3. My TV didn't work because they gave me a remote for another model of television.
4. And I had to wait nearly 1-hour wait for the transport to leave the airport, since they were supposed to pick up other guests who no-showed and they weren't in-touch with.

The issues that they couldn't easily address during my stay, but just made this a poor hotel choice for me were
- the room lighting was very dim
- the plug sockets and light switches were on opposite sides of the bed
- they didn't have a USB charging port
- there was a clicking noise near the corner of the room
- the TV channel selection was poor
- the bathroom door couldn't stay open
- the shower door was designed in a weird way that you couldn't really keep water out of the rest of the room if you just had the shower running to get hot (and the water never stayed hot for long) and
- the traffic from motorbikes on the highway was constant.

Very nice hotel! Includes a buffet breakfast and airport transfer. Easy walking distance to the downtown area, but also has several shopping centers right next to the hotel. If you’re lucky enough to be there on the weekend, there is a small food market directly behind the hotel. The hotel can also arrange a number of tours for you. I did the Temburong National Park tour and a boat tour to see Proboscis monkeys.

Staff and people in Brunei are so nice and kind. One hiccup was my us credit cards didn’t work there. Maybe, it was my mistake of not telling banks about my travel. But fortunately I can make another reservations on spot. Staff there was trying to help me for a couple of hours after midnight. I appreciate their help. Also, for the side note, you can use Singapore dollars in Brunei. Overall, my visit was great and the room was very spacious too.

It was ok! Facilities are good but not very well maintained. An extra clean and paint would change the atmosphere.
Staff seemed to be a bit shy or not proactive to help too much.
It wasn’t a bad experience but not a good one as well…
I am under the impression that they might be used to have guests traveling for work more than for tourism as on my last day, the receptionist found me a driver to explore Brunei by car but he doesn’t speak English, and it made my day quite difficult.

After several stays at this hotel, this will be our last. We left and stayed at another hotel. I cannot believe that we were asked for payment for one additional pillow and a deposit for a second room card. Everything you used the shower the entire bathroom flooded. A budget hotel that doesn't respect returning clients. They can certainly do better.

Exceptional circumstances as stayed during coronavirus outbreak. The hotel responded appropriately with effective measures (closed the pool and the cafe except takeaways). Staff in the cafe were particularly friendly and helpful. Reception were able to arrange appropriate transport and provide me with a free tourist map. Free transport back to the airport.

I had a very good stay overall. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the room was comfortable. It has a great location and is secure. WiFi is high-speed and reliable. The staff really pushed to book their tours, which would be expected as it is tourism, but they were friendly and I did not feel overly pressured to do it. I would recommend staying here.

The hotel bus was available at BND20 per hour to take us around if we liked to see the city or to take us to the main shopping district at BND10 each way. That worked well for us. Water leaked from the shower door (seal along door hinge no longer there) so there was always water on the bathroom floor, which was a slip hazard unless we cleaned it up ourselves (which we did). Limited fruit available at breakfast (no local bananas or other fruit) and no yoghurt. Plenty of curries at breakfast if you're that way inclined.

We stayed in executive family room and it is spacious enough for 4 persons. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. Especially our driver to met us in the airport. We had a car rental for last few days and he agreed with car rental company that they brought car to the hotel .
The hotel has a restaurant with good prices.
It takes only 15 mins walk to get to city center

Had a decent stay. The location is actually better than it seems and most sites are within walking distance. The staff was a little pushy with tours and said I needed to hire a driver at rates that were very high when I was able to just take a 5 min walk and pay 80% less. My room on the 3rd floor was directly above the 2nd floor banquet hall where a very loud event went on all night which made sleeping a little difficult. The hotel itself is pretty nice with a small, clean pool. The free airport shuttle is very nice and convenient and saved a good amount of money.

Stayed here on December 22, no pick up from airport as arranged when booking and paying for the room. Again on January 1 no transfer from airport as arranged. When discussing this with staff at reception they don't care as payment was in advance. Agreed via email to have a car with driver for the day at $160, then sent an email stating $200. Cannot recommend this hotel.
