The best place to unwind after all the sightseeing in Jerusalem! And only a 30 minute drive to Masada, which is one on the most beautiful and historic places on earth. The buffet dinner here is the best I have ever had. Get a jacuzzi room and watch the sunset. The beach is a one minute walk from the hotel. Stay here for the experience of a lifetime!!

Hotelok do not take the president suote

We booked the president suite
Which is a lot more expensive than any other room or suite

Big disappointment from the suite
Air conditioning did not work when we arrived
It was fiz after two hours
And after fixed it was very very noisy
The dead sea is extremely hot weather you expect the air condition to be perfect. They did not renew water or fruits as promised.
The other part of hotel services were good spa food swimming pool.

Disappointing experience. Rude, unhelpful staff. Furniture old and worn, A/C barely cool the room. Amenities had weird hours and closed early. Ripped carpets, dirty curtains and walls. At the bar, a guest was told to pay for a peppermint tea bag—or bring one from her room! Security wouldn’t let me take the luggage cart upstairs, claiming he’d have to retrieve it himself. Lifeguard cleared the pool at 4:45 though it closes at 5, rushing guests everybody out, including elderly people that I felt sad for them. Zero hospitality. Definitely not worth the positive reviews. I won’t be back.

This is a property which is tired and needs a face lift. There are no toilets at pool level and our friend who used a mobility scooter was unable to access the pool as there were no ramps. On the other hand the food was outstanding and the staff were lovely. We would go again

In November 2022, the desk receptionist was personable. Also, there was mud in each room and the room air conditioners worked all the time. Last week, it was on Day 2 that a technician explained that they automatically shut off when the door opens/closes. Surprise innovation? In extreme heat, our room was very hot upon our return from various activities.
Also, we were required to purchase mud from a retailer on Level 1-, who tried to push products on us (guaranteed to make me look young again!!!) and became annoying each time we passed her store.
However, I certainly would return to Herod's. It's first rate - and Adam, a receptionist, was outstanding.

The hotel is very nice, they have their own beach which is amazing. The property is clean. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The only concern was a bit of a mess during breakfast. Some of the staff don't seem to speak neither English nor Hebrew and as the result gave unhelpful or incorrect answers. Other than that we've enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again.
BTW, the Expedia's note that the price is including all the fees and taxes was incorrect.

Very bad hotel. Old, shabby rooms in need of refurbishment. Ham staff. Upon check-in, they issued a paper that says that the check-out before 14:00. Etc. Already at 12:00 they began to continuously ring and break on the door demanding to immediately vacate the room. Never stay at this hotel.

The general condition of the hotel was poor, alot of rust in the bathroom and in the sa facility, the divice that helps the dissabled people to get into to solt pool was full of rust and it spilled into the pool, the hotel os very old and not mainteined properly, the paint is pilling of the doors and the walls, there is a smell of moll in the bathroom. It shold be a 2 star hotel. The brekfest was ok and the staff were very plesent!

The staff went above and beyond during our stay. We enjoyed the beautiful property, including indoor jacuzzi, hammocks, private beach access, and many other amenities. The breakfast and dinner buffets were fantastic. We are vegetarians and had plenty to eat. We would definitely stay again!

This place was probably beautiful when it opened but seems to be neglected. The owners obviously don’t invest in upkeep. The pool area looked like a three star motel, cheap chairs, broken sunshades, etc. Paint cracking and peeling in hallways. Rooms were decent but the AC couldn’t keep up with the heat and slept sweating. But - seems like the state of most the hotels in the area according to reviews. Spa looked chaotic, crowded and dirty so we didn’t use. Breakfast was good. Bartenders were friendly. Check in took 30 mins. Parking is chaotic. Glad we stopped at Synergy Spa on drive down which was a nicer experience.

The hotel has a private beach, which means that you don't have to walk out and cross the street to get to the sea. It's just steps from the back of the hotel. There's also a beautiful outdoor pool that is heated. So you can float in the sea and then come back and swim in the pool. The indoor spa has a large salt-water pool that you can float in, if the sea is too cold. The outside of the hotel looks a bit shabby and old fashioned, but the interior of the rooms are very nice and modern.

Staff has no idea what it means to be in the service industry. Five star rating is laughable. Spa receptionist was non-responsive and when she finally did respond she was rude. Lunch boxes we ordered the day before were not ready on time, and after waiting for them to be prepared for half an hour, we had to leave without them, so that we would not miss our scheduled tour.

Great experience at the Dead Sea!

We had a great weekend at the Dead Sea. Herods was a good choice for us. Great service, front desk was very helpful, free breakfast was delicious, indoor/outdoor pool fantastic! Loved our room view of the Dead Sea. I was worried after reading some of the negative reviews, but they are obviously exaggerated. Herods is a good choice in the Dead Sea area. I would compare it to a mid-range hotel in North America (ex. think Radisson Hotel, Sandman, or Marriott).

One of the best with private dead sea beach

I injoy the visit in the hotel from all aspects, it is a very good hotel, one of the best in the dead sea, it has SPA with dead sea warm water in door pool, free to all the hotel guests and great outdoor pool. high variety of delicious food in the breakfast, Very kind staff, nice singers at the lobby evening show.The hotel has dead sea great private beach The hotel is not brand new but still a great recommend hotel, I will come back for sure.

the don\"t check guests for covid 19. you can\"t be sure that people around were vaccinated . the food was cooked 2-3 days before. the desert was bad also was prepared 2-3 days before. the room look like 3 star only the restroom was not clean & you can feel that the previuos guest smoked all the time. we called 2 times the room service nobody came. just try other hotels. i try to meet the manager he did not want to meet me.

ממש בושה הייתה הטעייה של הלקוח בכל המקומות לא היה רשום כי צריך להביא אישור קורנה (שלילי) ובלי קשר אף הגדלתי ראש והתקשרתי למרכז הזמנות של רשת פתאל ושם נאמר כי לא צריך להביא אישור . נסעתי עם אישתי עד לכניסה למלונות ושם מנעו מאיתנו להיכנס למלון ללא האישור של הקורנה .
ממש בושה ודורש להחזיר את כל הכסף או לחילופין לפצות אותי

The place itself wasn’t very clean. Dirty hallways, we had wet coffee stains on the sofa in our room and dining room tables with crumbs and such. It’s a greet place and they the crew is delightful. Just need some more attention to hygiene.

Calling this a 5* hotel is an absolute joke.
The hotel and rooms are very cheaply decorated and dated. Rooms are tiny, and were barely cleaned during our stay.
The bathroom in both our rooms had a lot of mold, showing how poorly it is cleaned.
The \"heated\" pool was freezing, the staff didn't even bother putting out recliners or chairs.
The daybeds in the inside pool and the beach are filthy and look like they have never been cleaned.

The service was absolutely terrible-
* Checkin and checkout took 45 minutes of waiting in line.
* When we tried to book a taxi through the hotel to Masada, they quoted us 100 NIS more than the taxi company did directly
* We celebrated my son's 6th birthday, and when we asked if the hotel would be able to provide balloons or something like that, they said that they charge for that- I was absolutely shocked that a \"5 star\" hotel, where we were paying over $500 a night for each room actually charged for that.
