The staff member I spoke with was quite cranky and unhelpful when I got there. They didn’t provide much information about the hostel as a whole and they also told me all restaurants were closed which I don’t think was true. The bathrooms are in the room of the 8 person dorm, and because you have to pay to rent a towel the floor was very wet and the bathroom was quite dirty. There is no curtains for privacy on the bed and you have to take all of your sheets off the bed to bring to the laundry when you check out which is likely annoying to the 7 other people in the room if you have an early check out.

Staff are helpful. Towels are only changed once every 3 days - too infrequent.
One had to pick up all sorts of smells from the MTR station to the hotel. While most are outside of your control, I think you can do something about the urine smell outside the front wall along Beswick Street at night.

Frontline and counter staff are friendly and accommodating. You can't pre-booked your preference bed, may it be low/ high bunk. Nearby and stone throw from many convenience stores, eateries, shopping and entertainment belts. The standing bath(s) get flooded/ ponding at times. Some occupants changed their beds without informing the Counter Staff. The Management should consider reviewing price strategy for lower/ higher bunk beds.

Disappointment on the last day

The canteen decided to serve breakfast to a larger group people first while me and my friends spent 10 minutes to line up and reached the counter. We were rushing to catch a flight but the canteen person in charge asked us to wait until they serve the larger group, which consist of 30-40 people. It was more disappointed when I told the receptionist and all he did was just 'I will see how I can help' and nothing was done after that. The stay was all good before that until the last day. Me and my friend are really upset with the service because we think every customer deserve to have an equal chance to have their breakfast ordered according to the queue.

This place is spacious. Pros: have kitchen and huge fridge on the ground floor to store personal items (soda, fruit etc), have labels for you to identify them. Have coin laundry ($30 for washing and $30 for drying) - not the cheapest. I have found another coin laundry in Tsuen Wan, close to my mom's house, $22 washing and $12 drying. Breakfast included (most of the times, the same 4 items of which 3 items have pork / ham, and the last one is oatmeal with hard boiled egg. I stayed here for 7 days, I got tired of sticky rice chicken after 3 days. AC is strong, wifi is good and stable.
Cons: not super close to the MTR and the beds are super hard. I can feel all the springs... I talked to the front desk, they asked house keeping to put a blanket on the top, they don't have any topper, only blanket. It is slightly better with the blanket.

Nice cozy little place with spacious rooms. Rooms are considered huge in Hong Kong for the price I paid. Location is about 10 minutes walk from Sham Shui Po Mtr D2 exit. Located at Sham Shui Po where choices of food and shopping are abundant for a decent price as compared to Mongkok/TST/Central areas. Only downside is the lack of additional pillows and floor mats. Towels are changed only every 3 days but this can be solved by paying a nominal cleaning fee. Will definitely stay here again considering the price and location!

Amazing quality price place for HK. Extremely spacious double bedroom, modern and clean. Staff are lovely and so helpful. Close to MTR and you can easily go anywhere. I’d definitely go back. The only thing that needs improving is breakfast which we found poor. Such a shame when everything else is just great.

I had great experience staying at this place. The YHA staff was friendly and helpful. I liked the facility, very clean and spacious with 2 bathrooms. That's what I needed when sharing with other 7 fellow travelers. It was very affordable incl continental breakfast- the food was ok though.
Tip: make sure to bring extra locker in case you want to store your personal stuff in a cabinet or else you'll end up renting or buying new one. The towels costs HKD10 to rent if you didn't bring one.

This property is more than a hostel. It's spacious, clean, well equipped. The property was built long time ago, but the renovation has transformed it into a very inviting lodging. Breakfast is included with 3 choices. Overall, IMO, it's better than a lot of so called hotels in HK. The front desk staff is very friendly, polite, professional, and helpful. Allen Wong is one of those. He did our check-out and spent some time showing us various ways to get to the airport. What a fine young man and what a great team. Will definitely come back whenever we visit HK.

Good value hostel in HK

Clean and if you can have non bunk bed alternatives with space! Big for HK though sharing. A bit of a walk from Shum shui po station but if you stay to main roads it should be safe and follow signs there incl an underpass. Breakfast is ok \"western\" with eggs, vermicelli noodles with ham strips, Chinese sticky rice chicken or dim sum options, but the nearby cafes can provide alternatives. Towels provided free of charge and soap dispensers in bathroom. Lockers good size in 4 person mixed dorm. FYI Have to make your bed first night..

Changing of clean towels

Everything was good except the rule for changing of clean bath towels for long term dormitory stay. Should allow to change the towels at least once or twice a week free of charge.

If possible, the hostel can setup a notice board for people who may wish to share taxi to the airport, train station, bus station etc.

This is a great place to stay in Hong Kong for room sharing.

I am staying here for the 2nd time.
This time round I have booked the 4 persons sharing a room.

They do provide free towel to use for 4 person sharing room.
No towel is provide for room shared with more than 4 persons.

Please remember to bring your own lock as they only provide storing cabinet without the lock.

The family room was more like a hotel room, with a spacious bathroom. I didn't find the area to be an issue. On the other hand, I found it more of a plus, since it is close to alot of restaurants and the MTR.

Excellent hostel for single traveller/backpacker.

The room is very spacious - 4 bed dorm. It has 4 single beds rather than up and down beds which is very good! It is different in the 8 bed dorm which I would rather pay little extra for the 4 bed dorm. The room and the linens are clean and comfortable. Location of the hostel may not suit everyone but the public transportation in HK is very good.

One negative point is that there is lack of common room - no TV or any entertainment.

If you are looking for somewhere simple, clean, friendly price, this hotel can answer you all. But I still think that boy staff here did not focus in customer and friendly enough. This point need to improve. BF is very simple but it’s ok if compare with money we spent. Location is very good to find some meal and near MTR. Room is big and clean. Housekeeping will serve every 3 days. If you need them clean you room every single day, you need to pay more. Bad luck for me that there is some case to wake me in mid of night but with Hotel’s explanation is understandable.

Good. Don’t think too much. If I have chane to go to HK, this hotel will be in my top list.
