The Barceló Casablanca has a wonderfully convenient location, but the overall maintenance is simply not up to 4-star standards. It severely lacks the quality we have come to expect from other Barceló properties. The building shows clear signs of age; even small details like the entrance facade could use a serious upgrade. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. Our room had a heavy smoke odor that made sleeping difficult. The front desk staff felt untrained and overly casual. However, the front door staff and housekeeping were the absolute highlight—incredibly friendly and helpful, providing a stark contrast to the reception desk.

The room condition was not what we expected. The door lock had to be changed on the spot because it was not reading our room key and so we couldn't enter. The room appeared to be fine but dust and dirt marks on counters and light switches. A staff entered our room the next morning around 8:30am when we were still in the room.

Rooms were fine! Lobby’s maintenance so so! Something wins pushed wrap paper from street and the people inside ignored them ☹️I was upset seeing the security guy with his phone and not bothering to pick up papers just in the lobby. Breakfast too expensive for what they offered! $ 16.00 for two eggs and few more things! The lady en charge in breakfast insisted in being paid in cash????

Pros: The front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Room is clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Busy but nice neighbourhood in city centre, 25 minutes walk to the waterfront.
Cons: Breakfast is basic, limited variety, no eggs (except one day I saw a few hard boiled eggs). Room is dark (not enough lighting).

The property is within the anfa region which makes it a good place to buy things and is accessible to many shopping areas. The problem i found was that when booking this hotel there was some confusion on the more luxurious barcelo hotel which may be there sister location and that if you book fastly that you can inadvertently pick the lower tier hotel in which i may have done. This hotel that i stayed in was a satisfactory, the room was very small and had limited outdoor lighting as the window does not allow adults to be able to.look through without bending 45 degrees. It was a bit odd. It was a very uncomfortable situation that i didnt like. Dont come to this place if you want to hear car sounds in the late nite. There is no soundproofing and it was bad. Also the shower stall can be a death trap as the surface was flat white plastic for its base. There is no grip on the shower surface so be warned. Also very stingy on the towel replacements. Front desk wasn't very approachable or it could be that they didnt speak english.

Very bad staff and hotel doesn’t have parking and they lie about parking; they said their parking is out of service for years; I parked my S350 Mercedese under their supervision and I woke up found my whole car covered with dirt with cleaning dirty water from cleaning hotel from windows and their security watching what’s going on: you arrive to the hotel and their security guy says in impolite way we don’t have parking and we can not assign parking for our guests in front of hotel—- very very bad experience with this hotel

The hotel allows smoking inside so if you have any type of health issues that can be irritated by smoke this is not the hotel
For you. The front desk staff were a bit rude to us. The airport shuttle provided by the hotel cost an additional $15 more than of you just catch a taxi.

We did enjoy that there was restaurants and shopping right outside of the hotel and we were able

As a Muslim person I didn’t like seeing pork food in the same tray on the breakfast buffet. Nobody can tell me the cutlery for cheese and salad never touch to ham or bacon.
Even star hotels leave 2 bottles of water everyday and they provide kettle, tea bags and instant coffee but I think this hotel finds them extra cost and people don’t care of them.

Hotel was clean and overall a very good experience! We stayed there twice. The evening guy at reception was very flirty and made several inappropriate comments at us, and they charged us $200 for a 10 min international call which were still dealing with. Other than that if you’re looking for clean and nice with spacious room and good service it’s def recommended!
