We rate all the hotel staff 100%. We could not fault them at all. My partner suffered an injury at the end of our holiday and she was looked after by all. Everyone was caring and friendly. They could not do enough to help. She would like to thank everyone for their care and friendliness.

The food was excellent, the meals we had in Casanova were the best we have ever eaten in an all inclusive hotel. It was fine dining at its best.

Hotel, rooms and outdoor areas were spotlessly clean and well maintained.

The rooms at this location are very dated! Everything from the door leading to the room to the curtains look like they have not been changed since the property opened. Chipped paint, old furniture, and insects everywhere since the doors did not properly seal at the bottom. We placed towels under the door to keep insects out but due to being on the first floor it did little. When it comes to the food, if you are expecting to experience Jamaican cuisine this is not the place for you. What saves this resort is the staff, they were excellent. I had one issue with housekeeping placing a dirty pillowcase on one of the pillows. Other than that everyone was very helpful and courteous. I wish I could rate higher but the rooms are horrible.

Our recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately far from what we expected, especially given the price point. Right from the start, things were off. When we arrived, there was no warm welcome or even a basic introduction to the amenities or layout of the facility. We were left to figure everything out on our own, which felt unprofessional and uninviting.

The food at the hotel was another major letdown. The quality was poor, lacking both flavor and variety. Most meals felt like they came from a cafeteria rather than a resort.

In terms of in-room amenities, the hotel only provided two small bottles of water and two local beers per day in the refrigerator. That’s it. For a hotel that presents itself as a premium destination, this felt incredibly stingy and inconvenient, especially in a hot climate where staying hydrated is important.

We were so disappointed with the overall experience—poor food, lack of service, and subpar amenities—that we decided to cut our trip short and head home early. That says it all.

We had an excellent 4 days stay in the Hotel.
The only negative thing was the beach, too low, not a good beach. Sunset beach is good for relaxing and take beautiful pics, but the beach itself is horrible, unable to get in or swim.

Couples San Souci is a beautiful, relaxing, & refreshing resort. On arrival at the gate, we liked the green foliage & bldg setup that allowed us to drop our shoulders & feel like we were about to begin our vacation.

The front lobby staff was a little cold in their greetings & looked as if we were interrupting their ‘day!’ We just tried to overlook whatever was distracting them from greeting us & just asked the questions we needed answered.

We would suggest giving the guests the full orientation via the in-room tv opposed to spending vacation time to attend to an orientation the next day.

Also, if activities are not going to happen please advise the night before ~ I was looking forward to the Aqua aerobics that never happened. I waited at the mineral pool 20 mins before the start time. Asking staff about the class provided us with responses like ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know” 😳. I did enjoy the mineral pool and did my own exercises in the pool.

CSS is a very serene, relaxing, & rejuvenating resort. Food will fit the international palette with hints of Jamaica & Caribbean dishes for all meals. Bob Marley is celebrated one of the nights, loved Panda at the Balloon Bar & the entertainment is lovely without being overbearing.

Like many guests we will return & share our lovely experience at Couples San Souci!!

I had the most incredible birthday weekend at San Souci Ocho Rios! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by my modern and spotless room—it was the perfect retreat. The beaches were absolutely stunning, and the dining options were simply fabulous! The warmth and kindness of the staff really made me feel right at home. To top it all off, the live music was a huge highlight, creating an electrifying atmosphere that I’ll never forget. What an unforgettable experience!

The property was beautiful so many amazing things to see. The rooms were very roomy. I do have a few mi or complaints. There is not much direction getting around the property. We walked in circle up and fine stairs. No maps were offered to us. When we finally found the lobby again we asked for a map which helped a lot. The resort was pretty empty I did feel there was not much to do in the way of entertainment during the day. Hardly any interaction with the staff.

This is a chill and quiet resort. More for older couples or people who are looking for peace and quiet. My boyfriend and I are a young couple and we found ourselves being the youngest there (19 + 20). When there was entertainment, it was lovely. We personally were hoping for more of a lively resort, but we understand not everyone looks for that. This was a very large resort with a lot of walking and stairs to get to different places, towels were also kind of far from the pool and beach, couldn’t find them at first.

The food we had was great. The only issue we found was number of options to eat at. Breakfast was the buffet. Lunch had 2 options for restaurants. Dinner had one restaurant open or you could make reservations in advance at 2 other options. On Tuesday and Fridays they offer a large buffet and all of the restaurants are closed for dinner. Making reservations was a little frustrating because you couldn’t make it to the day of you were booking, you couldn’t have two reservations open at the same restaurant at the same time, you couldn’t make reservations for the day you got there or the day you were leaving, and you couldn’t make changes the day of. Everything worked out and staff helped us but wish the website would be a little more updated and easier to navigate.

Overall great place to stay, those are just a few things I could think of that other people might want to be aware of before booking!

Our stay at Sans Souci was nothing short of magical. We came to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and from the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations.

The romantic birthday decor was absolutely stunning—elegant, intimate, and thoughtfully done. The surprise setup completely blew us away, especially the incredible fresh fruit display that was truly out of this world. It was the perfect touch to kick off a beautiful celebration.

We enjoyed an amazing couples romantic dinner that was both delicious and memorable. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail made it feel incredibly special. From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless thanks to Kat, who was phenomenal in coordinating everything—decor, spa appointments, dinner reservations—you name it. She made the whole celebration feel effortless.

The spa was deeply relaxing, the bartenders were warm and fun (special shoutout to Kamar, the real MVP—he made our stay feel personal and welcoming), and the grounds of the property were breathtaking. Every corner was beautifully maintained and felt like a private escape.

The restaurant staff was also exceptional—attentive, professional, and kind. We felt genuinely cared for the entire time.

Sans Souci gave us a birthday weekend we will never forget. We’re already planning to return—this place is a gem!

The value was great too since it was all inclusive and there were restaurants you could reserve. This is a couples only resort so no single people or children around to ruin the romance of the week. The staff was perfect! The events were amazing. Everything on the property was included except motorized trips (like scuba diving, snorkeling trips, etc). The sail boats, kayaks, water bikes, knee boards, skiing, windsurfing, glass bottom boat rides, etc. were all free and easy to use at a moment's notice. The scuba diving and snorkeling trips had to be booked in advance and cost extra but not a lot extra. Every single staff member seemed happy to be there and eager to serve. I travel a lot, all over the Carribean and Bahamas and this is by far the best place I've ever been. I also take cruises a lot and the quality of service here actually exceeded my cruise experiences (which have always been exemplary!). I cannot brag enough on this resort and I will be returning. This will become an annual trip for me because we loved it so much!

Couples San Souci far exceeded our expectations. This is an extremely peaceful and beautiful property. They did a great job of spacing out buildings and services to make it feel as if we were the only ones there.

There are tons of little nooks and crannies to find a relaxing hammock, a beautiful sunset patio, or a quiet place to rest.

Food was excellent! All of it seemed top notch and great quality.

My only negative….all inclusive drinks often lack variety, options, and quality. San Soucis drinks were okay, but not great.

All in all, we would love to return!

Other than the room and the room attendent. Everything was simply substandard. I'm not sure how they get high reviews, this is what pulled me in. I would never go back again. From the lack of communication once booked to a 2 hour van ride to the resort to being out of food and improper descriptions of food to excursions that were poor or lacking, even the checkout was marred with errors in billing at the last minute, causing us to miss our van to the airport.

Loved everything except the mineral pool station where we were welcomed to have smoothies - not adequate variety of offered assortment of fruits nor veggies to make smoothies plus smoothies attendant not at station most of the time …instead in athletic shelter talking to fellow staff and returning to smoothie station around 4 pm to make smoothies for those staff members rather than be available on call for guests once lunch time was over. Poor performance, as well as spa personnel entering beach area seeking guests who canceled a spa appt. due to severe sun burn having to see nurse on premises and asking sought out guest why they did not show up when already personally met w/spa receptionist to cancel appt. Staff behavior such as that is disappointing and a turn off to want to return to spa in the future. The person that was exceptional and outstanding were: a Mr Luzcon Henry who impressively transferred a lawn dinner due to sudden torrential rain from lawn to Palazzina Rest. with great aplomb…gracious to all guests…making transfer with ease and care. Many besides my husband and I remarked how outstanding his performance was as guests felt looked after properly. Would make an outstanding General Manager a few of us believe and believe his Assistant who is as caring about guests, as he, is the woman who assists w/photography in the cafe…spot on …think her name is Chantel ….bright, polite, knowledgeable, helpful and refused to accept a tip from us after assisting us.

This was our first all inclusive experience and it left a little to be desired for us. We aren't huge drinkers so we were after quality and not quantity for the drinks but that seemed like the opposite most of the time at the resort, at best the drinks lacked consistency. We enjoyed our room and it's mini bar more than the other bars. The veggie bar was awesome and the grotto area was our favorite place to hang out. The New Years Eve party was fun and the room service was great.

Hotel itself is pleasant. Older property, clearly, but renovated so it looks ok. Beach is nice, even though extremely shallow. Have nice martini bar, nice vegan & natural juice bar. I liked their coffee shop. SPA, at least part that we saw, was nice and massage therapists were quite good. However, service is terrible. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because check-in staff and tour desk/concierge were super helpful. The rest of the staff was straight terrible. No one knew restaurant hours, sending us on 10 min up and down the hill run to catch the dinner that finished 30 min before. Restaurant staff was straight up rude, even by Jamaican standards. If you look for beach/pool towels around 2-3 pm, the only response you get is \"we are out of towels right now, but should have some later in the day\". When? When it's dark and no one needs those towels? Food options in main restaurant, Jamaican buffet for Independence Day & room service were extremely limited and if you get to any of the meals 45 min after start, they run out of all the best options. Imagine Jamaican buffet they put for Jamaican Independence Day celebration ran our of jerk chicken 45 min after the start time. How???

Every section of the resort had great staff, from the front desk to the restaurants and bars, everyone was friendly and genuinely helpful. my only drawback for this resort is the food choices. As a Jamaican resort they weren't a lot of Jamaican food choices. Food choices were limited and very repetitive.

We wanted a place that was not a club/party atmosphere. San Souci was the perfect place, it was quiet and relaxing yet still had entertainment and social events. We really loved the mineral pool and the performances. The food was amazing as well. We will go back.

Second time at couples sans souci, always the best time there!! The staff is fantastic and we thoroughly enjoy conversation with them. The Java bar is the best and Aaliyah made some of the best coffee I’ve ever had (and I’m a diehard Starbucks addict) Aaron the photographer was funny and sociable and enjoyed all our interactions with him. Germaine one of the grounds keepers was truly the sweetest and kindest person. Ruth at the spa, was kind, sweet and honestly gave the BEST massage. Alex and Bob in water sports were encouraging to participate in all the resort has to offer. My point is the staff is welcoming and genuine and really make the stay that much better. The hotel and all the amenities are literally the best. We did everything from paddle boarding to relaxing by the pool. The food is delicious. There is a good variety of dishes and there is something for everyone but their traditional Jamaican dishes are the best and what I literally crave when I’m back stateside. Transportation to and from the hotel is an added bonus and staying at the couples lounge at the airport is a treat. You’re not waiting for hours and the short wait time you are there you get to enjoy a red stripe and snacks upon your arrival, a great kick off to your vacation. I can literally go on and on about how amazing this place is and the gorgeous and secluded views. I highly recommend this hotel in Jamaica. It’s our favorite place, feels like HOME. ❤️

This property was amazing, the views are breathtaking, the staff was beyond amazing. The spa staff, went above and beyond to take care of us. The room service and housekeeping staff were so friendly, prompt and professional. The food was always delicious with plenty of choices for every taste. The smiles and cheer that all of the staff shared with us made our stay so very enjoyable. The only drawback to the property are the stairs, the property is built on the hillside so be ready, however they have a driver available all day to transport the guest around if you do not want to walk. We will most definitely return to the property.

Sadly we were very disappointed. For an all inclusive resort the choice of F&B was very limited, no stocked bar in the room, same selection of items at breakfast, lunch and dinner, limited options of bars and restaurants, a very weird system of having to book a table which was never available on the App, so we ended up dining at the same place the whole time. The one time we managed to book a table via the reception we were turned away because my husband was wearing smart shorts and not long pants (this is a resort!).
Staff was rude and inconsiderate, uninterested. We couldn't enjoy a drink at a sunset bar because it was only open for nudists (part of the nudist area of the resort). All in all a very disappointing experience.
On the positive, the location is beautiful, picturesque.

PROs: Place was clean. Staff was nice.
CONs: No one greeted us in the front lobby. Not enough signs, list, or daily agenda on where to dine/entertainments/activities are. You have to look for everything. Limited dining options~had to book reservation for dinner when there is only two dining spots AND if you miss booking your dinner, you end up at a buffet. Late on everything~pickup of luggage, room service, food service in the restaurant. Food wasn't great. I have been to many all inclusive adults only resorts and this has been the most I'm disappointed with.
In conclusion, I will never go back to this resort.

The Staff was great!
No complaints!
However, if I had to give a negative it would be the shallowness of the beach.
We kept swimming out and it barely reached our shoulders.
Also, the shower did not have a door, and the water goes all over the floor. Safety hazard.
Otherwise everything was excellent.
We will definitely return!
