When I arrived to my room my room was still dirty. I had a chair that had a big stain on it also. I called the front desk and requested for someone to come clean the room. They only sent someone to remove the chair. I cleaned the room myself.

Stayed at Moon Palace Jamaica from May 29 to June 2 and had a great experience overall.

The resort is beautiful, and my room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked daily with everything I needed. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I loved the pools and beach area, and the spa was definitely the highlight—an amazing experience! The resort is also very spacious, well maintained, and truly luxurious.

The food at the buffet needs some improvement, and I didn’t understand why I needed to provide my room number each time I entered the buffet. The nightly entertainment could also use a bit more on some nights. I also didn’t love the membership sales pitch during the stay.

Overall, I really enjoyed my trip and would definitely return!

I like the location as I enjoy being able to walk into town for an authentic experience. The pool area and the beach area is great, no seaweed and super soft sand. Lots of water sports available and I liked that you could take the snorkel boat right from the property. Great bathroom amenities in the room and comfy beds. We got lucky with quick check in and check out. The hydrotherapy area in the spa was very nice and relaxing but spa treatments were very overpriced, I was forgotten about in the relaxation room after my treatment for over an hour and when I got my eyebrows waxed she got dripped hot wax onto my hair and did not even attempt to get it out or apologize. The food was ok, nothing great. The jerk shack was good but the Japanese restaurant was super salty. Crepes, coffee and gelato were yummy but the cakes tasted plastic. The staff was nice and friendly. I HATED the constant sales pitch to buy into the Palace brand to get fake resort credits vs resort cash and what you could and not use the fake money for. AC seemed to stop working very well the night before we left, the loud bar was super hot and empty due to this reason. The DJ at the disco was horrible but the entertainment staff were always trying their best to get everyone involved. No non alcoholic options available . Resort does smell yummy.

My stay at Moon Palace Jamaica was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The resort exceeded my expectations in every way and provided the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and outstanding customer service.
One of the first things I noticed was how incredibly clean the entire property was. From the lobby and restaurants to the pools, beach areas, and guest rooms, everything was immaculate and well maintained. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping our room spotless throughout our stay, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived.

The staff at Moon Palace Jamaica truly made the experience special. Every employee we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Whether at the front desk, restaurants, concierge desk, or pool area, we were always greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. Their genuine hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel valued as guests.
The views were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up each morning to the beautiful Caribbean Sea was one of the highlights of the trip. The crystal-clear water, stunning beaches, and picturesque surroundings created the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Whether enjoying a meal overlooking the ocean or simply relaxing by the pool, the scenery was unforgettable.
The dining options were excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious food and beverages. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

I had an amazing stay at Moon Palace Jamaica. The entertainment staff were excellent and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel had great vibes throughout, with plenty of fun activities and a lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly, energetic, and always went above and beyond to make sure guests were having a good time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel was not up to the standards of other Palace Resorts I have visited. We stayed for 8 nights along with three other families, and all were very disappointed. First off, I reserved a \"Superior Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony\" and was given a room with a roof view, and slim view of ocean. After speaking to the front desk about this I was moved to a different floor and given a room that was one room down from one of our friends who paid $800 less for a \"Deluxe Resort View with Balcony\". So needless to say, I am not pleased. I would recommend you do not spend extra for any \"ocean view\" as you will likely be given a view anyway. Food and drinks: There was not a single day that we did not hear multiple times that they \"ran out\" of something. They ran out of \"mango\" for the mango martini of the day, did not have mint for mojitos and claimed it was a \"hotel-wide lack of mint\", ran out of strawberry mix for drinks, did not have pina coladas...one day they ran out of tequila, rum and water at the same time in the bar! Restaurants: Service is very slow and once again they consistently claimed to have \"ran out\" of things on the menu. Since we were a large group the day we had hibachi, we split between teens and adults. Well, we got beef and the kids (two tables down) were told there was no beef. It felt like they were taking advantage of the kids sitting alone. Another day at the same restaurant, the restaurant manager went to take a break and sat at our kids table!

This is truly a 5 star resort, from the clean facilities, excellent staff, excellent amenities, beautiful pools, beaches and flowrider to the excellent choices of food.
Comfortable room, beautiful ocean view and elevators on every building (so good for wheel chair access). Great night entertainment and top class video game room with about 25 video games including x-box. Great for families or couples. Water slide, kids splash park and all pools are 4 feet or less in depth. I love this resort and will definitely go back. It is worth every penny.

The beach is beautiful and the property is nice but not like Moon Palace Cancun. The staff is wonderful - Shemar at Jerk Hut, Shane and Whitney the lifeguards, Shavon and Tameka the beach waitresses. I would not go back for one reason. Over the weekend, many people who lived locally stayed at the resort and etiquette went out the window. People were cutting lines at the buffet, taking multiple plates full of food, not leaving for others. It was a fight for food. Tourist pay too much money to have to deal with this type of experience.

The buffet staff were rude. 1 guy became combative with me because my daughter ordered the wrong drink when in reality she could not understand him due to the language barrier but she did not want to be rude so she accepted whatever he said he would bring her.

One of the pool guys told me that “if you let the umbrella up and the wind blows it into someone then it’s on you and your responsibility”
Hmmm the pool side umbrellas are meant to be used. But these are just 2 out of MANY examples of the poor customer service this staff displayed. The resort is well kept and clean. The service and attitudes of the staff was the worst experience I ever encountered in my many years of visiting Jamaica.

Moon Palace Jamaica is a stunning resort — gorgeous pools, beautiful beach, excellent food and drinks, and warm attentive staff. We had a genuinely great time and would likely go back. That said, a couple of things need to be said honestly.

Our arrival was rough. They mixed up our room and we waited over an hour to check in after a long day of travel. For a resort at this price point, that kind of disorganization is a poor way to welcome guests and left us frustrated before we’d even unpacked.
We were also pulled into what turned out to be a lengthy, high-pressure timeshare sales presentation. It was aggressive and went well beyond what was implied when we agreed to it. Go in prepared to say no — firmly, and more than once.

Once we got past those two things, the resort really did shine. The amenities, the atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience were everything we hoped for. Just be ready for a bumpy start and keep your guard up when the “resort orientation” invitation comes around.

I went in mid-late April. It wasn't overly crowded, which I liked.
Good food, especially the fare at Pier 8 restaurant. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable and varied.
My only (negative) comment: Three of us were stuck in an elevator for over 10 mins. However, that wouldn't deter me from re-visiting Moon Palace. As far as All-Inclusives go .... I'd say it is good value for money.

Despite my high expectations for Moon Palace Jamaica, our stay was a significant disappointment from beginning to end.
Upon check-in, we encountered a series of issues. After a lengthy travel day, we were met with disorganization, extended wait times, and staff who appeared overwhelmed and uninterested in assisting. What should have been a seamless welcome transformed into a frustrating and exhausting process.
The situation did not improve upon obtaining access to the rooms . We were assigned the incorrect rooms, and instead of a prompt resolution, it required multiple conversations and additional waiting to rectify the error. There was a lack of urgency or accountability from the staff, which exacerbated the situation.
The most concerning aspect, however, was the cleanliness of the dining areas. We encountered cockroaches in eating spaces, which is unacceptable for any resort, particularly one that markets itself as a high-end, all-inclusive experience.
For the price point, the food quality and overall service do not meet expectations. Meals were underwhelming snd service throughout the resort felt slow and inattentive.
Overall, this experience fell far short of what one would expect from a resort of this caliber. Between the chaotic check-in, incorrect room assignment, hygiene concerns, and poor value for money, I would not recommend staying here and would not return.

The Staff was amazing and very helpful. The Room was always stocked and cleaned, whenever I needed assistance or service for the room delivery was prompt.
There were lots of entertainment, the food was good with several options- loved the hibachi and pier 8. The coffee shop is one of the best amenities.
My nieces and nephews had a blast.
The only downside was the check in process as the room was unavailable resulting in a longer wait time to get settled in.
Looking forward to my next visit.

I am giving this stay two stars only because of a few positive interactions with specific staff members; otherwise, the management and operational failures would warrant a lower rating. This is an outdated property that suffers from a severe lack of leadership and efficiency.
The Check-In & Lobby Experience
The \"service\" model here is baffling. Every guest is attended by two staff members simultaneously, yet this does not make the process faster or smoother. In fact, checking in was significantly delayed. The lobby is filled with staff roaming around, seemingly with the sole intention of ignoring customers.
Room Quality & Service
• Missing Essentials: Basic items like washcloths and hand towels are apparently not part of the regular room setup. We had to call multiple times just to get these delivered.
• Communication Breakdown: Obtaining a simple active folio or getting a clear answer on where resort credits could be used felt like a mission rather than a basic request.
The Checkout Disaster
Checkout took a grueling 45 minutes. There was only one person working the front desk while five concierge staff congregated in the lobby nearby; not a single one was willing to step in or assist their colleague. Furthermore, the staff gave us a very hard time regarding our prepaid Expedia transportation, repeatedly attempting to double-charge us despite proof of payment.

I recently celebrated my birthday weekend at Moon Palace, and overall, it was a great experience.

From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. We were greeted with drinks, warm towels, and a beautiful flower, which immediately set the tone. The check-in process was seamless—I especially appreciated how the staff handled our luggage. They took our bags, provided a ticket system, and we didn’t have to worry about anything. It felt organized, efficient, and different from any other hotel I’ve stayed at.

The layout of the property is beautiful, and I loved the variety of dining options available. One thing that stood out to me was how services and excursions are charged to your room rather than paid upfront—it added a level of convenience that I really appreciated. Also, having someone personally take your bags to the room and walk you through everything was a nice touch.

The food was okay—not bad, but not a standout.

My main concern was with housekeeping. We checked in on Friday, and our room wasn’t cleaned until around 7 p.m. the following day. This was disappointing, especially since I saw housekeeping staff on the floor throughout the day, yet no one came to service our room until much later.

Additionally, the wait time at the buffet to be seated was quite long, and it also took a while for anyone to come over and offer drinks or assistance. I’m not sure

The overall experience is very good. We've been to the moon palace Jamaica 2x and enjoy almost everything during our stay. The only things which a found unacceptable is how longs it took to checkin. Both times we waited over an hour and we were only behind 6 groups. Despite pre checking in. For a place this nice their really should be more thought put into how to expedite it this. But, other than that the food, service, the amenities the property and the overall experience was 1st class.

Had an almost perfect stay at Moon Palace and would 100% return.

Pros - 99% of staff were amazing and adored my 1 year old son. They made such a fuss of him and his confidence grew so much while we were here. Food choices excellent, we enjoyed all of the restaurants and never had a problem making reservations. Cafe and snack bars were great. We thought the rooms were great, room service very good and drinks replenished in the mini fridge daily. We booked a deluxe resort view but did have a lovely view of the ocean. Pools and splash pad were great, sea was very calm too.

Cons - booked transport via moon palace to/from Montego Bay airport. They had us waiting over an hour at 9pm with our 1 year old until it arrived and then check in was incredibly slow so was after midnight by the time we got to our room. Requested a cot in advance and it wasn’t there when we checked in so was another hour before we received one. You could also hear music every night until the early hours from our room, it was incredibly noisy. We tried to change rooms but it was so poorly handled by reception that we ended up cancelling it and getting a refund. On the plus side we saved our money and did get used to the noise! The only other thing that bothered us was people smoking by the kids pool. It wasn’t too common but I do think the staff should have directed the smokers to the designated smoking area given the number of kids in the area.

Upgraded to have our rooms upgraded to ocean view. One Wes not ready, had to stay at the other tower for a night, was then going to be upgraded to a suite, didn’t happen. Supposed to get a special gift basket that those rooms get, never happened. Front desk Wes very helpfull, supervisor not so much. Will go to a Moon Palace again, just not this one.

Moon Palace was an awesome space to spend our spring break. There were activities for everyone in the family. My kids loved the 24-hours room service. There was always something to do and some place to eat. We had no issues with booking dinner reservations. All the restaurants had great food. We loved the various selections. This experience was worth it.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Traveled for my birthday and from the time we landed to the hotel there was nonstop bad service and misinformation. The staff in relations lounge went above and beyond to assist us despite the challenges.

First and foremost I just want to say if you aren’t booking with Expedia, you need to start! My stay at Moon Palace was such a pleasure! From the cleanliness of the room/resort all the way to the staff! Everybody was extremely helpful and kind.
Huge thanks to Expedia for the complimentary room upgrade and the sweet surprise in my room! The view of the ocean from my balcony room was absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend anybody visiting Jamaica to stay at the Moon Palace. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Overall, the experience was decent, but not exceptional. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the timeshare presentation felt like a waste of time. The resort credits offered sound appealing at first, but there is a 16% fee applied when you use them, and they can only be used on a limited selection of items. After factoring that in, you often end up paying the same—or even more—out of pocket.

The restaurants on the property were generally good and offered enjoyable meals. However, the room service and buffet food were disappointing and did not meet the same standard as the restaurants.

Overall, the property had several amenities that you most likely won't find anywhere else. However, the room we were given was run down and right outside our balcony, they were doing construction. That woke us up every morning and made it impossible to open the drapes and enjoy the morning view with men standing outside with a clear view into your room

Yes the beach view was unobstructed. This is a lovely all-inclusive resort where you can spend a few days leaving all your worries behind. The food at all places were good with the bucaneer reef buffet having excellent selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The MOMO and Gondola restaurants were too good. The one that did not live upto the expectations was Agra. The pool and the beach were very close by and the kids just played from one to other throughout the day. Overall a very pleasing experience.
