We stayed for six nights, it was my husband and I and our two children ages 12 and 14. They had so much fun at the teen hangout area in game room. They made new friends and enjoyed the food so much. We had a great time hanging out on the beach and having drinks brought to us. We felt like royalty. The restaurants and food were amazing, the staff were so friendly. We were celebrating our birthdays, all of us, and they sing happy birthday to us almost every day.

Expedia had gifts waiting in room for us. Was so nice only thing got a call the last night saying they wanted to do something special for a farewell dinner for us and we did not receive that. The restaurant didn’t know what we were talking about so unsure why she even called us. The hotel was nice just saw a few roaches in the room the last night but they came to spray for us. The food was average except jerk hut they had best food. The drinks were very watered down. I would give them another try tho. Nice property

We booked through Expedia so we had a nice amount of resort credits then we went to listen to a sale events in which we ended getting more resort credits even though we didn’t buy what they were selling which was good. At first we arrived and was greeted with hot towel for your hands a glass of champagne. Our room was sea view and the room was very clean well maintained. The spa is something to really experience. Just amazing.

I had a very good experience February 2026. You get what you pay for with all inclusive resorts. Better food, better entertainment… Room service is awesome.
Downside – French balconies, and not as much nature or beach as I'd like. Not a quiet place.

I was originally suppose to check in on 2/24 but due to bad weather in VA my flight was canceled and rebooked for the next day. I tried to get a refund for that day i missed but the hotel refused. They offered to extend the trip by one day, but because i have an engagement to tend to that would not be doable.

The staff was absolutely amazing at Moon Palace, pleasant and helpful.
The food did not disappoint. The choices are endless here. From authentic Jamaican to International, you will have excellent choices.
The room was very clean comfortable, top notch.
Let’s not forget the extensive grounds, beautiful. I really could go on, but let’s just say, overall, an amazing stay In paradise.

The beach is so clean , never a lack of activities, food or alcohol or fun That is not what makes this resort stand out. It’s the service . Koby, Gabrielle & Stacey in public relations , Rosario and Tajae at the French pastry / coffee shop, Anthony and Daniel at Gonzola’s, Shawna Marie at the spa , Nikki the life guard , Elvis from Pier 8 and Hussein and Sydney from buccaneers. These individuals made this trip a trip to remember . Our interactions with each of these staff members was incredible. They were all kind , genuine and went above and beyond. They left such an impression on us that we will never forget them or their outstanding customer service .

Staff were excellent, food options and quality were excellent, activities awesome. My only observation was that the facility could use a refresh. Facilities were all very clean but wear and tear were noticeable throughout, especially in the room. All that said I would return for another visit.

This hotel stay was fabulous. The staff were super friendly and joyful in their approach. This was a contrast to other hotels ive been to. The hotel itself was top. Definitely a step up to the Rui in Ochi, but not ar Sandals level. We ate at the 4 a la cartes and they were all great. Our fave was the Asian. Great shows and bars. There is too much good stuff I can say. A special shout out to Faith on check-in, she was an absolute star and role model.

Room upkeep is very average. “Deluxe Superior Ocean View was a tiny glimpse of the harbor. Upgrade options were beyond laughable. Value below average. King bed was two beds they promised to put together but never quite got to it. Food was great. Way too much sales pressure from almost every direction. Servers in general are well trained and delightful. Will definitely look elsewhere in the future.

The beach is absolutely beautiful but that’s all you get for your money. Our first we made reservations at the Steak and Seafood restaurant because you can only make reservations!!! We were seated and waited over 30 mins before someone came to take our orders only to hear they were out of lobster. After placing our orders we told 20 mins later the only thing they had on the menu was chicken. Meanwhile our other family members were at the Italian restaurant and they were experiencing the same thing lack of options. The next day leaving the breakfast I seen a huge roach by the host desk. At that point we decided to leave the resort for dinner and eat at a local restaurant. During the day at pool the kids could hardly get pizza from Sun Deck they literally made one pie every 30 mins and then a long line of people are waiting for pizza and they pick and choose what kind of pizza they are going to make. It was the same issue at the jerk spot literally a small set of jerk chicken and jerk pork was made every 30 minutes. On top of all of that they try and force you to sign up for what they say isn’t a timeshare but IYKYK it’s a timeshare. My kids had a great time because the beach and the pools were nice but I would never stay here again.

The rooms need renovation. My first rooms bathroom sink leaked all over the floor. The second room so many things were missing in the bathroom and the AC sucked and would just turn off on its own. Other than that the resort was nice

Paradise found! 🌴 The Moon Palace Hotel exceeded expectations - rooms were spacious and comfy, staff were top-notch friendly, and the ocean views were pure magic ✨. The vibe was chill, almost silent, with the sweet sounds of roots reggae drifting in the background at just the right volume 😎. Food was solid, jerk chicken at the beach bar was 🔥! Pools, waterslide, and beach were vibes with fam 🐝. Perfect spot for a relaxing, all-inclusive getaway in Ocho Rios. 9/10 def would return 💛.

The property overall was nice. Although I did come in 2021 and it wasn’t the same. There was sand in the hallways, stains on the towels, chairs, placemats, and tables. It didn’t have the same sparkle and cleanliness that it did a few years back. This didn’t stop us from enjoying the property but this was something that I noticed as soon as we arrived and picked up on throughout our stay.

This is a beautiful resort, friendly helpful staff, great location for onsite excursions. Great drink options! Lots of activities each day- great for families of all ages, good availability of beach chairs, food was good. Rooms were nice, spa was fantastic. Buffet was decent, but crowded. Wish there was one more sit down restaurant. Italian and Asian were great! Would def do the Asian a 2nd night if we could get a reservation. The steak place was just Ok, service was not great there and food was disappointing. They were out of filet the night we went.

I am very disappointed. This resort is advertised as 5-star luxury, but my experience did not reflect that at all. I paid for a Superior Deluxe Ocean View, yet the view I received was roughly 60% rooftop, 20% a dirty gully, and maybe 20% ocean. I requested a room change within 10 minutes of entering the room, and despite multiple calls and follow-ups, it took two full days for the room change to actually happen. During that time, I couldn’t fully relax or enjoy my vacation. No one followed up with me, no one called to check in or try to make the situation better, I had to keep calling myself, which completely took away from the vacation experience. Restaurant reservations were another major issue. They were almost always fully booked, and I had to constantly refresh the app just to find availability. When we finally managed to secure reservations and attend, half of the menu items were unavailable, with no prior notice. I was traveling with two picky children, and I specifically reviewed menus in advance to plan meals only to be told those items weren’t available after we arrived. That was extremely frustrating. One night, we ordered room service at 10pm because the kids were hungry. The food didn’t arrive until 2am. There was no call, no update, no warning about the delay. We were simply woken up at 2am. The room was outdated, with old, worn, and broken fixtures. My stay did not meet the expectations of a luxury resort, I will not be returning and i would not recommend.

Toilet was not working elevator and common area very old rooms dated food was average not worth the price we paid we feel we paid way too much as 1600 us dollars for 2 night hotels offer way much better. The US $150 resort credit we could buy only one straw hat ( worth $10) from the gift shop and that also they collected tax and extra money. A TOTAL RIPOFF.
We have traveled many places with Expedia we expect at least a $1000 refund or credit tonour expedia account
