As a vegetarian, the room service menu was very limited. I ate the same meal for the 3 days I was there. The room I had was not 5*. Leaking roof in living area when it rained, stained shower screen and wash basin surround and fridge door. For the price, these things should be in better condition. The staff are excellent and the spa has an amazing choice of treatments. 10/10 for peace and tranquility

5 Stars – Pure Bliss at the Jamaican Inn!

My husband and I had the most incredible stay at the Jamaican Inn. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The staff made us feel like family—so warm, friendly, and they even remembered our names throughout the stay. It truly made us feel special.

Huge thanks to Asha and Patrick, the amazing beach bartenders, who kept the drinks cold and the vibes high. Asha went above and beyond by teaching us how to play croquet, which ended up being one of our favorite memories! And Albert was always there to set up our beach chairs with care every day.

The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the live band in the evenings added the perfect touch of island magic. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and elegant—just what we were looking for.

One of the highlights of the trip was the spa. I was greeted by the lovely Marcia with a refreshing lemongrass ginger juice, then treated to an unforgettable deep tissue massage by Danntistia—she truly has the hands of an angel. The spa overlooks the ocean, and hearing the waves during the treatment brought me to such a peaceful, relaxed state.

Housekeeping was wonderful—so kind and thoughtful, and our room was always immaculate.

We left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to return. Jamaican Inn is truly a slice of paradise!

My adult daughter and I went to the Jamaica Inn for a quick 4 night getaway. What makes this resort is the staff and the beach. Ash Quade and William at the beach bar were so friendly and entertaining. The spa was wonderful. Marica was very helpful in assisting us in spa offerings. Azeeza gave a great massage and my daughter enjoyed her facial with Kenneth. The beach was gorgeous. We enjoyed paddle boarding. It is a quiet resort. Most of the visitors were British and retirees. The Jamaica Inn is a classic old school boutique resort. It was a nice relaxing vacation.

This hotel is a different world, and one of the few places where they have every detail down perfectly. The service could not be better, and if you’ve been to Jamaica previously and seen the sights, there simply is no reason to leave the hotel grounds. We especially like Cottages 3 and 4, but have not stayed in a bad room yet. The private beach is perfect, as is the beach bar (“Teddy’s”). Croquet, anyone? Please don’t forget to pack your whites. The kitchen runs smoothly, and the menu is varied. Don’t worry about tiny portions or unidentifiable goop, or being served some type of “foam” as a dish, these people cook real Caribbean fare to please their guests, without Jonesing for a Michelin star.

Jamaica Inn - Trish's bucket list

I have to say that the Jamaica Inn was heavenly. Our start could have been better, not because of Jamaica Inn, but courtesy of American Airlines who delayed our flight 4 hours, so we didn't get to the spa until after 6:00pm.
Immediately, we were welcomed with a cocktail soiree at 7pm, where we met two of the partners and many others.
When we woke up the following day, we sat out on our patio and marveled at the sea and beach.
If we are picky then forgive us, but there were only two things that didn't quite meet our expectations:
1. When Trish had a spa day, there was no room to just relax in afterwards, and no shower.
2. The food was good all the time, but unexceptional, I was hoping for a \"Wow!\" factor.
However, the staff were truly amazing, always smiles on their faces, whenever we ordered room service it was there in an instant.

An old world vibe

A relaxed stay at a hotel with an old world vibe. Tea at four on the terrace and collared shirts and no open-toed shoes after seven certainly sets a standard, but maybe one at odds with modern day values. But definitely better than a chain hotel with no soul.

We were greeted with “Welcome Home” at the Jamaica Inn on arrival and that’s how we felt our entire stay! This is a special place where you can feel the effort that is being made in making everyone, guests and staff, feel like part of family. The place is gorgeous beyond words, and there is a relaxing calm vibe. The food was incredible and there were excellent activities offered (rum tasting, trip to the farmer‘s market, baby sea turtle hatching). And then just spontaneous moments of joy mixed in, like watching a croquet game with Ashalene at Teddy’s bar or Carter singing at the piano at night. We had an incredible vacation and will definitely be back!

Old-world ambiance in such a gorgeous setting is rare. The staff and management are gracious and helpful and genuinely friendly. Your \"step back in time\" experience starts with the elegant Kingsley and other staff at the front desk and continues with the efficient and warm hospitality, housekeeping, beach attendants, spa and maintenance staff. They go about their business discreetly but are happy to engage with guests to enquire about your experience. Many little touches - e.g. complimentary rum punches and afternoon tea, cocktails on the terrace, weekly beach barbecue, musical entertainment, a weekly screening of Bond movies on the beach (complete with popcorn), nice toiletries, nightly treats left by the turn-down staff - contribute to enhancing the overall experience. The gardens are well-maintained and gorgeous. Although some rooms are in need of refurbishment, the furniture and amenities and the fabulous sea and beach views from your terrace more than compensate for any minor faults. We had a wonderful time and can't recommend the Jamaica Inn highly enough for anyone wishing to unwind, unplug and be pampered for awhile. Go!

Tremendous hospitality and food and service. We decided against all-inclusive pricing and that was a big savings. We still enjoyed so many of the amenities including croquet, beach, sailing 2x (both on the Sunfish and on the Hobie Cat 14' - both free of charge!) and a daily free cocktail at the beach provided a sense of generosity and fun that really added to the trip. A word of caution: outside the resort after dark can be dangerous. Use the Hotel Driver to get to outside restaurants. Don't walk - even nearby.

The property is great and the staff is super friendly, I could not ask for more. However, the rooms need a bit of modernization including a TV and/or cable service. I also feel the staff should be allowed to dress down a bit (bermudas/shorts and tropical shirts), it is hot and humid and I feel their service will not suffer if this change is made.

Beautiful property with a natural beach. We were lucky enough to get to watch the baby sea turtle hatchlings make their first journey to the water. Amazing! Picturesque views from the rooms. Nice restaurant, easy paddleboard/kayak access and amazing beach. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Great hotel!!!

We loved this property. It’s quiet, clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is quiet, trees for shade, and the water is warm and inviting. It’s an older property that took us back in time. We had a beach front room with a nice veranda. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, which is what made it perfect. Amazing sunset!!!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME!

My first time to Jamaica Inn, and definitely won’t be my last! I loved EVERYTHING about this hotel! So peaceful and quiet! I am already planning my next trip there! I love the customer service and the feeling that “I’m home!” Very laidback and clean!! I wish I had stayed longer! I have to admit, I’ve been to many other resorts, but JAMAICA INN stole my heart!!!! I just don’t want to go anywhere else.

The Jamaica Inn is by far one of the most incredible places that I have ever stayed. From the vintage charm of the resort, to the friendly staff, I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else in Jamaica.

Oh, and I got to meet the new Shadow on her first day at the resort. :-)

When we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest people. Winston is the nicest. Too bad we only saw him twice while we were there. No one else was as nice and friendly as him. Server at breakfast not so friendly, the bus boys are. The property is beautiful and we did get a room upgrade, that was nice. This place is very peaceful. If you want to relax and rest, this place is for you.

Jamaican Inn has gorgeous grounds and is incredibly peaceful. It truly is a haven.

However, the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade for the cost per night. We had a lovely corner room with a veranda that looked out onto the ocean, but the interior of the room was extremely basic.

Finally, the cost for food and drink was exorbitant. We enjoyed ourselves, but didn't go overboard and spent $650/night on food & drink. It actually soured the end of the trip so just be aware.

Beautiful naturally isolated beach. Quiet and well maintained beach and facilities. Staff is pleasurable and attentive to interact with. Food is good and overall a fantastic destination to unwind and rejuvenate. The journey to and from the airport on reasonably priced transportation options is a little bit of a grind.

The atmosphere is very relaxing and tranquil. However everything was dated, property needs refurbishing. Customer service was not as pleasing as it was on my first visit there. I called and requested an early check in as I had a function to attend.
Check in was a breeze and we ordered food which was to be delivered to our room; however they checked me into the wrong room. After a whole
Hour of waiting for the food to arrive we called the front desk asking about the food and were then informed that we were checked into the wrong room and that another guest requested that room. This is while we already unpacked and started to get dressed for our event which we were already late for. We were then told that we should pack our stuff up and go to the other room where our food was waiting (this is in the middle of me getting dressed to leave for my event). They kept calling and insisting that if we wanted our food we would have to leave the room and go to the room they had assigned. I had to walk in my towel to try to pacify the matter; And was still being prodded to leave the room. I told them I was not averse to moving but would do so the following day; they still insisted! They eventually left us alone and gave us an apology and a bottle of rum. By the day we were ready to leave our toilet overflowed drenching the bathroom and bedroom we ended up not being able to check out until after 1 pm setting us way behind. Overall this experience was poor unlike that of our first visit.

I loved their beach. They had no seaweed, super clean, very private. I didn’t like that the rooms had only shutters with a screen so the room never got cool enough so we were very uncomfortable in the room. You could literally hear everyones conversation very clearly from people walking by your room. I would come back for a night just to enjoy their beach but be prepared so spend money if you are going to dine there because the all inclusive package upgrade is very expensive. If you book through Expedia you are only paying for the room even though it says all inclusive. Luckily we were able to find other accommodations since the all inclusive upgrade was almost as much as the nightly rate. Their private transportation was excellent, please request Oscar. He was amazing, we felt safe and at home with him. We definitely made a long time friend.

The Jamaica Inn was spectacular. My husband and I stayed there for a long weekend and could have happily stayed a month. The views, the suites (including gorgeous Veranda rooms opening right onto the ocean), the food, the staff - everything was impeccably done, and every detail was thought of. Also, I'm a sucker for any property with a \"house pet,\" and Shadow (the property owners' black lab) was just as sweet as the rest of the folks we met at the Inn. We also absolutely loved our sweet driver, Oscar, who the hotel arranged to take us to and from the resort. Couldn't recommend this property highly enough. Can't wait to go back! -- Bri & Joshua

LADIES & GENTLEMEN - Before you Book you need to read everything i have to say

1) this is a VERY old and outdated hotel. Let me repeat my self this is not a old fashion hotel, but OLD as in the floors are 50 years old and curtains are dirty….things like that. Bathroom is horrible and old.

2) EVERYTHING is over priced when it comes to food and drinks, let me repeat Over priced - not we’ll priced.

I don’t mind paying ALOT for Quality food but don’t charge 5 star hotel price food when you’re serving all inclusive style food.

3) most of the staff here are untrained - it’s not their fault they are all nice people. The lack comes from Ownership and top management.

HOWEVER - the manager knew I wasn’t too happy and she did her best to make me happy and I appreciated that so much. She offered me and my girlfriend a free dinner to make up the experience, which was a very nice and kind gesture.

GUYS I’m being honest I stayed at all type of hotels, what I do not like is when you charge me 5 star rates and give me 1 star experience. I don’t mind paying too dollar at all but give me what I am paying for. Don’t ruin my vacation !!

There are so many things we loved about our stay, it’s hard to know where to start. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept; everything is extremely lush. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive —we especially loved Patrice; everyone very warm and welcoming. Every day of the week there is a special event, like a garden tour or cooking with the hotel chef or you can arrange an outing thru the front desk. The beach is very peaceful and secluded—every guest couple has a pair of comfy lounge chairs with their own tiki hut and beachside service. Our room was a huge highlight— private balcony with a view of the coast and mountains. We could swim right off our verandah. And of course extremely clean and well stocked. Every morning we woke up to the sound of the waves. It was so peaceful! Same for the spa! You can get a treatment in a private outdoor hut to the sounds of the ocean. The food was great—very healthy and freshly prepared. We had a full breakfast delivered to our room (the fruit!) and dined most nights in the outdoor dining area. The menu changes every day— while we were there, there were fresh seafood options, vegetarian options, beef and chicken options, and salads & small plates each time. The chef even makes new desserts each day. It’s wonderful! Truly it was a wonderful experience staying at the Jamaica Inn; we are already thinking about when we’ll return. ~Katherine & Jason

Perfect Hotel for a Romantic Getaway

My wife and I stayed at the Jamaica Inn and loved it. From check-in we were told \"welcome home\" by the staff. We felt like home the entire 5 days. All of the staff from the cleaning crew, the wait staff and the guys that rent out beach gear were all very helpful and welcoming. The enving happy hour hosted by the manager Sherlene is nice too! Guys must were a collared shirt but its worth it. We will be staying at the Jamaica Inn the next time we go visit Ocho Rios!

this hotel is heaven on earth! it has a crystal clear/ white sand private beach a few steps away from your room. Amazing helpful and friendly staff happy to help you at any time. Delicious food with a vast variety of choices (including vegetarian options). Live music at cocktail hour and at dinner time. the ambiance at dinner time is more elegant (long pants are required for men) which gives you the perfect opportunity to dress up and enjoy a magical night. During the day the staff can help you book excursion outside the hotel if you prefer to do so. Strech was our favorite person! he made us fall in love with Jamaica (ya mam!) I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious with private balconies overlooking the water. The breakfast area has an AMAZING relaxing view. They offer activities during the day like tea time and different games. The hotel is relaxing and quiet. Also if you are a dog lover, they have the most amazing pet SHADOW !
