The people were nice but the room was awful. The smell nearly made me vomit when I walked in. Bed had stains, carpet had stains and was sticky. Air con didn’t cool. Was a fluffy pillow on the bed that needs to be buried 6feet under from the smell it had. Stayed and hour and packed my stuff and left and booked a diffetent motel

Arrived at night in the pouring rain & couldn't park directly outside our allocated room as other vehicles obstructed our entry - one vehicle with lights turned on high beam making it even more difficult to see and manoeuvre in the space. Our room PONGED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE! The room itself was shabby ie ripped lace curtain at window; blackout curtains old, dirty & dusty; furnishings likewise; kettle barely working & ONLY ONE cup/mug for tea & coffee (had to request another); no milk or water in fridge & an inadequate supply of tea (again had to request more); only one toilet roll supplied; no iron or ironing board IN ROOM; & only one very small three-quarter size cupboard (with wonky door) to hang clothes in. Complimentary cockroaches greeted us in the bathroom each morning & only ONE pillow supplied for each bed. I kept stubbing my toes on the metal corners of both our double and the spare bed & there was only ONE bedside table. The beds were surprisingly comfortable however & apart from hearing the occasional aircraft fly overhead other outside noise was barely audible & the location pretty central - easy walking distance to most amenities & public transport. I was informed twice (by FRED on enquiring about an 'EXTRA GUEST' CHARGE when we'd BOOKED FOR ONLY TWO) that the per night rate was calculated PER PERSON WITH T SECOND PERSON COSTING AN ADDITIONAL $10 - AN ADDITIONAL $18 WAS CHARGED FOR MY HUSBAND! This stoppover was supposed to be a special birthday treat for him 😪

The property was the worst place i have ever stayed it, not clean, facilities were minimal.
Everything was patched up, doors had been kicked in and a bodge repair. The fridge was patched up, worked but door was hard to open. No facilities to wash up plates etc
The walls and doors were filthy.
The whole place needs complete refurbishing from top to bottom.
Even the bathroom left a lot to be desired.
Even a staff member said the place needed shutting down for poor maintenance, this i totally agree with.

Was like living in a slum. No flyscreens meant getting bitten by mosquitoes. Glass is pool which resulted in my daughter cutting her foot. Paid for 2 beds and got 1. Not family friendly at all. No breakfast. No WiFi password given.

It was terrible. It looked absolutely nothing like what's shown on any website. It was old and dated, dark and dingy with the only venterlation the window in the bathroom with a piece of curtain screwed over, and the door, if you were \"happy\" to leave that open, and it also smelled awful.

The \"wardrobe \" door was tapped shut, the drawers in the \"kitchenette\" were screwed shut. There was only one desert spoon, one forlk, one tea spoon, two knives, one dinner plate, one bread and butter plate two bowls, two cups, two saucers, two drinking glasses, two wine glasses and a kettle. I could go on!

The room was falling apart, has a terrible smell, is presented poorly, needs desperately to be updated.
Light fittings need cleaning / replacing (one was held together with tape)
Bathroom window needs replacing
Paint in all areas is peeling off.
Where repainting has been done it looks like a child did it with overpainting everywhere.
Fridge has rust in it.
TV has a light that blinds you in the night.
Curtains in the rear of the room are offcut pieces of fabric.
Tiles in the bathroom are missing and painted over poorly.
Bathroom fittings old and worn.
Storage drawers falling apart.
No flywire screen on the only widow that can be opened (bathroom).
Noise at 6 am from someone collecting laundry.
Front desk not manned, ring the bell and nothing happens. Ring the phone and get someone who isnt there.
Clean up the carpark area, get rid of the old car being stored there.

The room was incredibly run down. Gauges out of walls, bedside lights didn’t work, no towels, no soap, bed was like concrete, broken bathroom louvres, graffiti on bathroom wall and very old furniture. The air con, tv and hot water all worked well. It’s a huge shame as this motel is in a beautiful area and close to the races and shops but there is complete disregard from the owner to the maintenance of the rooms.

WARNING! FILTHY! Cockroaches all over the floor.

And to make it much worse, I went to the front desk and asked if they could clean it. They said no. I then asked for a broom, so at least I could sweep everything. They said no.

They then said I could pay an amount equal to a whole extra room, and upgrade. He then said if I wanted a 5 star hotel, I should have gone somewhere else. I just wanted to get rid of cockroaches! The worst staff I have ever seen. What employer keeps staff who have an opinion of their place like that, COCKROACHES ARE EXPECTED BY THE FRONT DESK STAFF, LIVE WITH IT.

Nice location and friendly staff. Terrible room it smelt of wet dog and cigarettes. The room looked nothing like the photos used to sell the place. In fact it looked like it had never been updated since the 60’s. Just a little paint here and there to cover up the atrocities that have no doubt been committed in the room.

I don't know what motel some of the reviewers stayed in, but it can't have been this one. The place is very old with little to no maintainence done. Dirty with an over-riding stench of cigarettes, there seem to be permanent residents who appear to not to get on well. Very noisy, this is by far the worst motel I've ever stayed in.

It looks like it was built in the 1960s and has had very little proper maintenance since.
I arrived at about 3:15 pm and the room was not ready.
When it was ready, it was very very basic.
The bathroom is in very poor condition with many cracks in the tiles filled roughly with silicone, and lots of black mould.
There were dead cockroaches in the crockery cupboard, and plenty of live ones running around the floors.
The TV only has about 4 stations and none of the local ones work.
The building creaks and bangs through the night.
The bed was clean and comfortable.
The best thing about it is that I now know not to stay there again.

Look people, this motel is indeed due for an upgrade. You are paying $150 per night, not 3 or 4 hundred. The bed was comfy, parking right outside your room. Everything was clean and the owner/manager is a great bloke. If you drive a Holden, be prepared to talk about cars. He is a fan of the late Mr. Peter Brock. Give him a go and then maybe he can renovate.

I was quiet and close to facilities we needed but it was a very run down property in major need of a refurbishment. the painting was very scruffed, the bathroom had mould in the cracked tiles, a louvre in the bathroom window was missing and the cabinetry was old and marked. It was also somewhat dirty with the surfaces feeling sticky and having a strong smell of disinfectant. Not at all up to its rating and the photos of the facility were very misleading. We were forced to find alternate accommodation at quite some additional cost.

We booked Raceways Motel in a hurry to stay for half a day while waiting for a connecting flight. We made the mistake pf not reading comments.
Short stay at this motel is the most horrible motel experience we’ve had.
1. Room stink.
Requested to change the room, a different room was given, it was a bit better than the initial room given, but still stunk.
2. Room not clean.
There was stain, which appears to be blood stain on the counter top.
The bedsheets were not clean. I am allergic to dust mites, I started itching less than an hour being on the bed (another customer had commented on the dust mites). Cupboards were dirty. (pictures attached)
3. Toilet not cleaned.
Little baby cockroach on the sink 😊 (zoom picture attached).
Wiring exposed. Commode bowl was stained.

The manager of the motel was lovely and helpful, unfortunately the state of the room was disappointing. Cockroaches and bugs and the room stank of mould. There was also a what seemed permanent resident there who was very aggressive towards the manager and other guest. Police was called. We had to stay for the full 6nights unfortunately as were not in the position to get another motel, in that time we did not have our room cleaned once. We had to request clean towels and they smelt like they had sat in the washing machine for days. I hate leaving bad reviews but this motel has potential just needs a good clean up

When we drove in our first reaction was OMG what a dump. When we were showed to our room, we opened the door the floor wasn’t vacuumed the bin wasn’t emptied. One of the workers came in and vacuumed while we were in the room. There was hair and god knows what in the bedside table. The towels and pillow cases were brown. No way were we putting our heads on those pillows. The microwave was dirty. The Bed head, lights and bathroom weren’t cleaned, they had dust on them. No soap. The room smelt like mould and there were burn marks on the carpet (considering it was suppose to be a smoke free room) The curtains were also dusty and dirty. The cutlery was in a tackle box with bugs and dust. It says it a 8.2 out of 10 Star Rating, what a joke!! More like 0.8 out of ten. The worker came back in and asked if we were happy with the place and we said No, he offered us a refund, which we agreed too. Packed the car and got out of there fast!!! He had to call the boss to do this. he mentioned that his boss has a bad gambling issue that’s why no money is spent on the place..The photos online look nothing like the place! Definitely would not recommend the place!!

We arrived 2.30pm, (office hours 8.30-5.30pm) office locked number to call went to bank message to leave a message. Rang the original no. I had and was given a code to enter at unit door. Faced with a black device on door , eventually worked out how to access keypad. I don't class this as good customer service

I was extremely scared I checked in very late 1030pm after working and had an early morning flight. The property is clearly mainly long term rental for homeless. There was domestic arguments happening all through the night, doors slamming and banging. I got no sleep. It was definitely an experience I never wanted to have. I would never stay here again. The rubbish and filth around the outside of the rooms were disgusting. I would love to submit the real property photos that I took it looks nothing like the ad.

My room (number 4) had a massive bedbug infestation. Couldn't sleep at night and my neck felt weird. Woke up to be riddled with bites on it. Bites on my arm and finger to. Usually, you can't see bedbugs, but there was so many I managed to kill 5 of them which splattered blood. The amount i killed meant that there was a long-standing infestation. You're better off not sleeping than staying here.
