Room smelt toxically fragrant from cleaning fluid used, road noise was loud, sliding door not locked, invisible staff and kids running around freely yelling. No hairdryer and AC was noisy like a cicada screaming while in use. Basic room. Certainly a “unique” stay. Thankful it was just overnight.

Outside balcony door could not close. Tv and fridge not connected. Power point for them in a cupboard, not visible. Room old and tired. Needs updating. Bed was terrible. Stayed in hundreds of motels. This was the worst.

They had to confirm what night we were booked as they has two systems telling them different dates- they then advised they were actually fully booked on that night and would have to get back to me (stress) luckily they figured it out. We were an AH checkin but there was no parking and no information on where to park. Ended up calling ah manager of an adjacent property for help as AH service contact for this property didn’t have correct information in regards to parking so was no help. Elevator had a terrible stench. Condition of room was very run down and in dire need of a refresh. There was a couch in the room that clearly needed replacing and we couldn’t get the verandah door open past about 20cm. We booked as they provided pet friendly rooms but establishment didn’t really cater to this.

I decided to stay at the hotel as I had 3 days of intense training for work as I was able to just go to the hotel and relax after a 9 hour day and I was able to get a good night sleep and wake up refreshed ready for my second big day of training.

The hotel was great the room was great and the bed was great too. But i want to say that the staff at the hotel were fantastic in helping me as I booked through WOTIF AND I WILL NEVER EVER BOOK THROUGH THEM FOR ACCOMMODATION, THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A JOKE TO DEAL WITH.

I spent 45 minutes on hold with the operator on and off and she said that the department that can change my booking is busy and ill have to call you back. After another hour I received a call from WOTIF saying that they would have to put me through to a nother department as she couldn't change my booking, so I was transferred to another department and while I could hear people on the other end of the phone I was hung up on.

The next day I called the hotel and explained the situation regarding my booking with WOTIF and the issue i had with them. The hotel was fantastic in offering to sought out the mess created by WOTIF for me and couldn't believe that they couldn't help.

All I wanted to do was change from a 2 night stay at the hotel to a 1 night stay due to a covid lockdown in Brisbane as the last day of my course was cancelled at short notice i didnt need the last nighs accommodation, how hard could it be to change that right. !!!
Well with WOTIF impossible.

Disappointing really...

This is not a 4 star hotel, just 3 star. While the room was reasonably spacious and clean, there was just a feeling of neglect about the property. The pool was dark green and not suitable for swimming. To make some money during Covid, they have leased the undercover parking under the motel for long-term parking so you could only get a park in more temporary bays out the front of reception, despite the motel itself being quite empty. The on-site restaurant 'Bayleaf Brisbane' was closed and when I googled it, it said it is permanently closed. Having a car it was no issue to go out, but what if you were staying there between flights and had chosen it for ease of getting a meal? If you are seeking quiet in which to sleep absolutely request a room at the rear of the hotel. The front rooms are very close to busy Kingsford Smith Drive and there is a bus stop right out the front of the hotel (you actually use the slip lane the bus uses to access the motel entry!) While I was happy with the air conditioning, my bed was in such need of replacement it sagged on the edges to the point I almost fell out. This was remedied by moving to the other side of the bed which was way better, but still a bed way past its use by date! The staff were friendly and I felt safe, but honestly you will do better at some of the other offerings along Kingsford Smith Drive I feel overall. Oh yes, limit of 1g per day wi-fi (then you pay) and no free paper as advertised on the Hotels.com site.

I arrived just before or at 7pm. The office was closed and there was no-one there. I knocked, waited and eventually went back to my car (which I could not park on site as there was nowhere to park) and had to change all of my new years eve arrangements. I went back and there was still no one there. I ended up staying somewhere else and I have been refused a refund.

We arrived after-hours but the process for retrieving the keys was difficult and we felt rather uncomfortable knowing that the door we were going through was still open at this time of night. The room was a good size and bed comfortable for what we required on our over night stop. Trying to get the tv to work was difficult and my husband who is an electrician by trade was horrified when he saw the wiring mess behind the tv and said this is a hazard. Location to the airport was great. Staff were friendly when keys were handed back in.

The property is old and dirty but not even cheap. The carpet, paint etc. is all old and needs repair. There was a TV in the bedroom but it was the oldest CRT set I've ever seen - I haven't seen one like it for 15 years. There were about 10 pieces of cutlery in the kitchen. The room was big but that is about all.

The property was in a good location, close to airport and reasonably priced. However the room wasn’t properly cleaned. There was a flyer under the bed from previous guests and the top of the bed head hadn’t been dusted for a long time as there was a thick layer of dust. The bathroom probably needs an exhaust fan as it gets quite steamy and feels wet and you have to shower with the light off if travelling with others as there is a weird window that you can actually see through which separates the bed and the bathroom. The lady on the front desk was pleasant. Even though it’s convenient, you do get what you pay for and I probably would pay extra and pay somewhere else next time

The location is spot on for the airport. It also had the best water pressure in the shower. We didnt like the bed. It was so soft and im guessing old that when you laid on it you almost touched the ground. We're not big people, our backs were so sore the day after.

The place was awful. My bathroom sink was clogged with hair. There was massive chunks cut out of the wall running major power cables to a cabinet that had power points in it to run the tv and kettle etc. The room smelt. There was a balcony with a table and chairs on it that you could not access as they had put another sliding glass door the opposite way around to block you from exiting and therefore had no way accessing the table, go figure??? The bar fridge was sitting on top of a coffee table in the corner of the room. All in all a dirty and dingy experience. I would not recommend to anyone.
