NO SPA - disappointed

there was no spa bath when the room i booked CLEARLY said spa bath.
had to wait in the cold for 20 minutes because the online booking didn’t say a closing time for reception!!!

The pillows had stains all over them , hadnt been washed and sheets were dirty. The bedspread had white stains on it.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep in. The bedding was dirty, had stains on it. The cup in the cupboard was dirty, the towel rail in the bathroom was broken and remnants of it was on the floor under the basin. The dining table only had one chair. And it was $170 a night. Could say more but time to get on with the holiday! Will never return!

Firstly the room was not ready when i arrived at 2.45pm but should have been available from 2. It was well sized not not really what I booked and had fridge jug etc. But that is where the positives it ends. The spa bath (which was supposed to be private hot tub) had a bit missing I was scared the water would leak into electrical bits so couldnt fill it to high. Next the milk was frozen in the little pottles. Thirdly didn't really effect me but if two people stayed in the room there was no plug available to plug light or eletric blanket into on one side of the bed. Ths staff member was not that great with conflict both with me or others reporting issues with their rooms.

Parking Wasn’t To great I couldn’t find a Car Park when I got Back from night out every single Park was Taken . So I had to park Under the Entrance shelter . Other then That everything Was Find ,$160 is a knit much for a Tiny Room and No actual allocated Parking so they could defs Work on that .

Property was cold, couldn’t turn up the heat pump. no electric blanket on the bed - this is the Waikato in winter ! Had a power cut in the morning mid way through shower. Asian manager hard to communicate with. Rowdy noisy goons doing wheelies at 2am. All of this for $175 a night. There must be better options in Hammy !!

Location good for the purpose of our visit. Wide range of adjacent shops. However numerous minor to medium issues meant stay definitely not tops eg no milk on arrival, clock in receptions still on daylight savings (finished 3 weeks earlier), screw hanging loose from bathroom door, hand basin blocked, room could accommodate 3 but corresponding utensils not matching eg 1 wine glass, 1 chair, mismatched crockery etc. Also, spare pillows did not have slips. Reception unmanned at departure (8.45am) so unable to raise these issues and also advise them of unacceptable noise and language in an adjacent room as we were packing car prior to leaving.

Clean, modern, great location

Can’t fault this place on cleanliness and comfort. My room was also well appointed and modern. I really like the permanently affixed hand wash, body wash and shampoo dispensers because although not refillable the dispensers would probably help minimise little plastic bottles/tubes being added to our landfills. I also got a complimentary late check out when I asked for it (I always do ask). Great location. Walkable distance to the CBD. Can’t hear the road traffic. Close to various food places including a 24-hr McDonald’s right next door. Laundromat across the road (if you ever needed one).

A few things they could improve on - 1) if you arrived earlier than the 2pm check in time you won’t be able to do what you usually can ie check in first, ask if you can leave your vehicle there and access your room when it’s available as their office is shut between 10am and 2pm. I tried to return my key to the office on check out at around 10.30am and the office was shut.

2) Their cleaner knocked on my door at 9.30am and was suprised to see me when I opened the door. Standard check out time is 10am.

3) Couldn’t see a QR code for the COVID-19 tracing app in their office or outside it. All businesses are required to have and display a QR code for our Covid-19 contact tracing app.

4) Managers or business owner didn’t seem to have a passion for their business. Small things like giving a warm & genuine welcome to your guests make a difference.

We booked on line and the money was taken out straight away, when the concert was cancelled and we rung to get a refund, they told us the money did not go to them, even though it was on their website.
She told us to get hold of the booking agency to request a refund, whom had no contact details and we are still waiting for someone to get back to our numerous emails sent. When you pay online for a motel you would expect them to be able to assist in getting the refund back that was taken out weeks before the actual date, we are frustrated and very angry with the help they have provided.

We stayed in a 2 bedrooom family apartment for one night while passing through town. Plenty of space for us and our toddler. Bed was comfortable, and apartment was clean. Apartment had air conditioning which worked well and we were able to park right outside the front door. Will likely stay again next time we are in town.

I was only there briefly, found it very noisy with McDonalds drive through just over the fence. Venitian blind would not shut properly so not dark enough and door latch needed the screws tightened to make the door secure - I managed to tighten by hand but will need more attention. I forgot to mention this before I left. Staff I saw were very pleasant and accommodating

Chose this motel for location near our event venue Expensive for what you get. Very small studio unit and noisy. No-one in reception both on arrival (although we had previously arranged an arrival time), and when we left next morning.Paid on arrival and they then came and asked for more money. No allocated parking. suggest you take your own pillows if you like comfort (thought this was what we paid for. Stay in Hamilton regularly, but will never stay here again

Nobody to greet you when arriving ( except cleaner who was very nice and helpful)
Bedroom needs upgrading. Electric blanket controls jammed down back of bed and it was a 2 degree night.
Worst of all at 3am fire alarm goes off and no management on the premises to turn it off.
Guests had to ring the fire brigade, all were left out in the cold for nearly an hour.
Still no management when we left next day.

The room was a nice size and the bathroom was a nice size but that is where the positives end I'm afraid........Staff were arguing on check in, could feel every spring in bed, tiny wardrobe with only one hanger, tiny ironing board, loud road noise, aircon struggled, falsely advertised sky TV (only 5 channels) very poor quality of TV reception which can only be viewed from the bed, Wifi very unreliable!

I was concerned we were staying a bit too far out of the City but if you have a car and don't need to travel at peek time then it is very convenient. This motel is very quiet and has a number of really good takeaways within easy walking distance. A Supermarket is a couple of K's down the road. The 2 bedroom unit had a really good Heat Pump and a good sized kitchen area. a reasonable sized TV but the couch was only big enough for two people. Others would need to sit on uncomfortable dining table chairs. In our unit the carpet was quite worn and looked grubby. That may well have been the carpet colour but we were still reluctant to walk around in bare feet.

We stayed one night, as attending a wedding in Woodlands, Taupiri and this motel was in a good location being only 15 minutes by car to the venue. There was no problem, when we requested & checked in early at 12noon, in order to get ready & be at the venue by 2.30pm. We were greeted and looked after by Hoanna, who was on weekend duty. She was very friendly and welcoming, not only to us, but also friends, who had the room next door. Nothing was too much trouble and our rooms were well equipped and comfortable. The Motel is modern and parking easy, also close to a suburban shopping area & not far from Hamilton City.

Handy location close to centre city and cafes. We did book a two bedroom unit which ended up being two units with joining door. Hence we had two kitchens and bathrooms which was not necessary. Enjoyed the stay thank you.

A great touch to arrive on a cold evening and find the owner had already put the heatpump on for us. The room was perfectly clean , fresh and modern. A very comfortable bed and despite being on a busy corner we found the road noise to be minimal.
Easy walk to the Claudelands arena, as well as many eateries.
