Motel parked close to supermarket and CBD is ideal walking distance.

Rooms were great, front desk clerk was friendly.

Only thing i can suggest is numbering the carpark spaces for your room number. As the park near my room was taken not a major hassle did find a park in end.

Brilliant value right in cbd, easy walk to main street for food options. Polite staff. Glad to be given nice size bottle of milk, not the tiny uht bottles! Great sized rooms,nicely rennovated. Clean and lovely bathroom with spa bath. Would definitely recommend 👌

We had two bedrooms with 3 beds and the room was huge and comfortable. Plenty parking spots on the property. Walking distance to the store and restaurants. The only things we did not like were toiletries. Everything in the bathroom was commercial grade that reninds you of the public restroom.

We was a very late check in and didn't realise it was a bank holiday. Place was in darkness when we arrived, but the owner came down quickly to check us in when contacted. Were accommodating.

Speights Ale House, a must visit. Food was great, staff very welcoming. Quiz night was fun.

The Helm bar - good atmosphere.

No heating had been put on for our evening arrival. The Motel was freezing. The heat pump should have been put on. No electric blankets on the beds and no mats on the cold flooring. The beds were very comfortable. Internet was fine. Great to have Supermarkets nearby.
The bathroom heater not functioning, overhead bed light not working. Kitchen was adequate and roomy lounge.

It was comfortable, we slept ok, clean tidy room with kitchen. Didn't do any cooking but it appeared to be a well appointed kitchenette.
Room was quite dark, even during the day, maybe due to its position, it was ground floor in C block, close to supermarkets, which was handy....take ear plugs was a bit noisy in the night...need blinds/curtains that fully cover windows and bathroom could do with soap at the vanity.

The room was good but a little dark being where it was, not a lot of natural light. I realise there is a housing shortage but it was a bit disconcerting having most of the motel filled with people waiting for homes and the amount of smoking outside rooms was a bit unpleasant.

This was just a last minute stopover stay in Hamilton while travelling by car to Auckland from the lower north island. I didn't require anything special - and the price I paid was low - so I certainly didn't have high expectations. And overall it was fine with easy access, off street parking and set in a central location close to the city centre. But, in saying that, the carpet in the room was disgustingly bad with all sorts of stains. Not a great sight, and it hardly made for pleasant stay.

Good location and friendly staff at check-in. Room itself was okay but it had an overwhelming purfume smell from a wall spritzer. Wasn't sure why it was so strong but then when people in a neighbouring room came outside for a cigarette the smell came inside mine - I guess the perfume is there to balance that out. Anyway it was quite overpowering. There was also a lot of noise from other guests oitsidein the carpark and on the balconies during the evening. I would probably look at other options before staying here again.

Good location, rooms adequate but tired. You should know that the motel is also used for social housing - there were unsupervised children roaming the grounds as well as a number of adults sitting about drinking, smoking and playing loud music. Felt quite uncomfortable staying there although nothing untoward happened. Maybe I am a snob but I wouldn’t stay here again

We have stayed in many hotel rooms in Hamilton but the Anglesea would have to be the largest room configuration with ample space and excellent service. I would highly recommend their service as they go out of their way to take care of you

Unfortunately on arrival we requested a refund due to the fact that this motel is being used as ‘short term’ housing for the government. Kids, adults smoking and drinking gathering in common areas & carpark. Just not a relaxing atmosphere or inviting.

The aircon was broken, we could even open a window more then like 2 inchs it didnt feel safe to open the door and leave open ,i think they had other families living there under the winz scheme, crying screaming kids everywhere.someone tryed to open my door ,i was woken up by a couple yelling a swearing ,will never stay again ever ,and all i wanted was a spa bath and it did not work.

This is a permanent housing motel with guests mingling in car park al night, casual stayers should be informed before booking/ manager tried to charge me twice for the room and was not easy to work with, was worried about car security and excessive noise made it difficult to sleep.

I won't be back..Unit smelt, had windows open to try and air out (cold July afternoon) spabath had high tide mark so not clean. Heatpump didn't go and only 1 blanket in cupboard. Parking, well, wherever you can really. I think the place is an emergency housing facility. Kids running all around carpark, noisy neighbours in other units...Avoid!!

The staff were very helpful but the venue is tired and was very noisy with people shouting and slamming doors all hours. We could not stay in our booked unit the first night due to damage to the door by previous occupiers. The staff were very apologetic and ensured the room was repaired early the next morning. Could have done with two arm chairs in the lounge, not very comfortable sitting on a dining chair to relax at night

Not the best if you are a business person looking for a quiet stay. Plenty of small children running around without supervision and it appears some of the guests are more permanent than casual. Was kept awake with music from the next room until after 11.30 p.m.
However, the room was well appointed with a large TV and was very clean. Couldn't figure out how to get the air-conditioning to work so lucky it wasn't cold
