Selected this motel after reading good reviews, but our experience was not good. The unit was very smelly, essential housekeeping tasks had been missed, and we could not use the TV as the remote was broken. The place was rather dilapidated and in need of an upgrade. Also the guttering outside was leaking badly along the join so that rain water poured all over the stairway to our upstairs unit.
A big disappointment.

Stayed 2 nights. Awesome location to Claudelands Oval. Staff were friendly. Room nice and tidy. Comfy bed, an extra blanket would be a good idea as it got a little cold , luckily we always bring one just incase. Shower pressure wasnt that great but shower products smelled nice. Kitchen wise the cups were very small, I brought my own nescafe satchets and it practically filled 3/4 of the cup.
The sharp knife was blunt it wouldn't cut anything. Would have been great if there were scissors as I Couldn't get my Homegrown band off, since there were no scissors, sharp knife was blunt, last resort was to use my tiny fingernail clippers Room definitely needs a dress mirror, couldn't do a proper outfit check and couldn't watch the TV there were no channels. For the price you pay for one night accomodation $312+ and including gst plus the surprise surcharge fee you get slammed with. I ended up paying extra money so for the 2 nights stay it cost $728.97. I think I expected a lot more from the motel at that price. Other than that it was ok. Would I stay again 50/50.

The staff were very welcoming when we arrived which was nice. The room was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet and we slept well.

The room was spacious and spotless. Bed was comfortable and shower had good pressure. Staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us restore tv reception. Location was quiet, and within walking distance to Hamilton center. We enjoyed the nearby walk along the river.

A comfortable but very modest room with the basics on offer. Clean & tidy.
An ironing board, an iron, an additional duvet (Hamilton very cold in Winter) would have been well received.

Not great to see a Police car there talking to people in the next unit. Unit was very clean and tidy and updated nicely, but the beds were very hard and I was awoken by the people in the unit next door arguing at 1.30am. More soundproofing between units?

Should have been renovated many years ago. Everything operated as it should, staff were freindly and the room looked okay from outside. The room however needed dragging out of the 80,s. I suspect there is no need to renovate due to the motels position near to major sporting arenas. No reason for the owners to let the room descend into such a shabby state.

Close to Claudelands Arena

STayed here for the night of the Foreigner Concert as motel was close to the venue. Found the bed rather hard and the sheets kind of stiff and unfortunately being in a downstairs unit we heard the noises of people in the unit above us, so it's not very soundproof.

Comfortable room in handy location.

Room was spacious and clean with a good shower. Though close to a main road, rooms were situated far enough back so that there was minimal road noise. Close enough to walk to the city. I would stay here again.

Quality tea bags!

I was surprise how quiet it was being on a major road. Had all the facilities that I needed for an overnight and even had good quality tea bags which is my benchmark!! The room was warm once I put the heating on and the bedding was very warm.For a night at an expo it was good as the event centre was only 3 minutes away. There were 2 single beds in one bedroom. I was on my own so I used in the additional single bed in the lounge so I could watch TV. It was such good value.

Clean, quiet and easy

Had a great stay here. Very clean, well-laid out rooms, with all the amenities to cook dinner. Front desk answered all questions, and was very friendly - they have plenty of local knowledge.

We had a safe stay, motel staff was excellent and very friendly. Room was nothing like pictures we booked from. Was clean and tidy. Very old but comfy. Would stay again. Bed was comfortable and excellent pressure in the shower.

Rooms were dirty used sanitary pad found under bed.Exposed wiring on electric blankets.Power points had been burnt out at some stage.Wifi connection was very poor and parking was limited. Fridge was leaking. No locks on bathroom door or toilet. Heater power points looked too dangerous to use. Rooms were serviced however rubbish from adjacents rooms was left outside our room all day and night. Definitely do not recommend and will not stay there again.
