Lovely staff and lots of lovely vegan dining options. Managed to get up a few yoga classes too. Room was a bit dated but comfortable. Also the best white wine I had in Siem Reap :-)

Clean and tidy and good quality for a 3 star hotel. Not centrally located but about1 to 1.5km from main part of town and down a dirty lane way. Staff friendly. Food and drinks are also good.

The staff was helpful and gracious. The rooms were comfortable, clean and large, with thoughtful decorative touches. The bathroom was nice, water was hot. You could walk around and find places to eat (although eating at the hotel was nice too -- breakfast in particular.) Lovely little boutique hotel -- feels good to support a hotel that is good to the people who work there as well as the people who stay there. Very reasonably priced. Would stay again for sure. ☮️❤️🐘

We had a fantastic stay at Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel. The environment was serene and peaceful, a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The staff were absolutely lovely—helpful, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout our visit. We especially enjoyed our time by the pool, which was a wonderful way to relax. The location is ideal: close to everything yet tucked away just enough to feel quiet and private. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel!

Fleas and gnats in room probably from dogs roaming hall on first floor. Dirt street in front is rediculously pitted and rocky. Tuk tuks have to slow down and swerve to avoid holes. Sounds like I am joking but it is worse than I have described. Other than these two issues everything was wonderful. Staff was especially nice and accommodating.

The property was nice and the location was close enough to town without being noisy. The room was clean and well presented. The bed was large but very hard and the duvet insert was filthy (which we removed and advised the staff). The bathroom needed some work with minor repairs to the shower head. Our door (and others doors) locks we’re not working properly, but were fixed through the stay.
The resort is a training restaurant, and the staff were always polite and happy to help. However they all need more training! The staff are trying their hardest but lack basic training.
Food was hit and miss and very expensive for the location. The beer tap must have been set up wrong as all we got was head. We felt sorry for the staff as they were trying their hardest, but it seemed as though they were not receiving the required training to take this from an average to excellent boutique resort.
We also had trouble settling our bill as we were charged for services we did not use, such as laundry. We cleared this up, paid and settled, but we’re asked again to pay for it long after we checked out.

The pool was wonderful! As was the bar and outdoor cafe adjacent to the pool. Truly enjoyed having the hotel's tuktuk available anytime, although we were in walking distance to most things we wished to do and see in town. Everyone on staff was helpful and genuinely pleasant all the time.

Great stay here. Staff very kind and attentive. Facilities were great ; we loved the clean, saltwater pool. Breakfasts were very good, excellent choices available. Lunch very tasty. Quick to walk out to other restaurants. Well done for reducing plastics, water fillers for free top ups and bamboo straws.
Trips were well organised and good value. All round a great experience and would recommend.

Embrace this marvelous boutique hotel.

Baby Elephant is a great place to stay with comfortable beds (hard to find in SE Asia) and stellar service. The GM (Johann) was quick with recommendations for food and drink and became our friend and partner in crime after the sun went down. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates laughter and poolside drink service.

We had such a lovely time at Baby Elephant. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. We can't stress this enough. They are all so lovely! The pool area is nice and there are so many comfy places to relax. They are taking steps to reduce their environmental impact such as having drinking water available and only cleaning rooms when requested. We appreciate these efforts. The breakfast is very good and they offer a packed breakfast for those heading out early which is a nice service. The packed breakfasts, however, aren't nearly as good or plentiful and the dine-in options. We also loved the owners dogs, Lenny and Wesley. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and we would highly recommend staying here.

The staff at Baby Elephant are very helpful and patient with questions and arranging tours, guides and tuck tuks. Little touches like the \"takeaway\" breakfast for the sunrise trip to Angkor Was are appreciated. Don't expect quick service at the restaurant and you'll be OK. If you plan to walk into town (or back from town) in the evening, be mindful that the hotel is down a narrow alleyway that is quite dark at night - bring a headlamp or use the flashlight on your phone.

I had the most amazing time staying with Baby Elephant. The team takes hospitality to the next level with their kindness and friendliness. I loved the cooking class and totally recommend it. The food is fantastic- be it breakfast lunch or dinner. I absolutely adore the dogs Lenny and Wesley who make the place so much more fun. The founder Ilana and manager Juan were amazing and made me feel right at home. The hotel's commitment to sustainability is quite evident and I would totally recommend it to anyone going to Siem Reap. Thanks again guys :) and look forward to visit again!

The hotel was cute. The room we got looked nothing like the photographs. The pool and bar were nice but closed early. It was a close walk to the town and there were always tuk tuks available if you need a ride. The hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast is good if served off the menu. The breakfast in a bag is questionable, the one bag we got was filled with ants.

We had such an amazing time staying at Baby Elephant. The service was top-notch. The condition of the rooms were great and the air conditioner kept the room nice and cold. We had a few changes in plans and the staff was friendly and was able to accommodate our needs. Our Tuk-Tuk driver Mr Mab was friendly and we felt safe the whole time.

They offer a great menu with traditional Cambodian items as well as western items. We also like how the owners invest in the staff by matching tip contributions as the end of the month. They also strive to be environmentally friendly and reduce plastic waste. Their Wi-Fi speed was excellent!

Amazing hotel!

This small, ethically-minded hotel was an amazing place to stay for a quick weekend trip. I was traveling with colleagues on a work break and we loved the idea of staying at a boutique hotel focused on sustainable tourism. All the staff were incredible, and the kitchen serves great food from breakfast until dinner (tons of vegetarian and vegan options). The small pool area was beautifully decorated, and drinks were all handcrafted and delicious. Very relaxing!! The one thing I missed was a fitness center, but we spent a day touring the Angkor temples and the other day I ran along the river in Siem Reap after getting directions from the front desk. So in the end the gym wasn't as necessary. Everything about the stay was great, and we would all for sure go back again! So glad we get to follow the hotel (and the dogs, Wesley and Lenny) on Instagram to remind us of our amazing time!

The staff are excellent. They seek to do their work well. High compliments to their trainer. They are as good as any higher end hotel in Siem Reap.

The location is daylight hours walkable due South of the Night Market and Pub Street. Darkness and walking in the edge of the street makes night walking unsafe. Take a tuk tuk for $2.

The facility is very clean, again, a compliment to the staff.

Food is very good and the breakfast selection of cook to order items is a plus. Fresh fruit before any of the breakfast items but no juice.

The rooms...... very clean but very small. The bad was adequate not great but linens were clean. Shower was great even though I had to make a repair to the faucet - simple but by the way it was sitting when I first entered it is hard to see how the room attendant did not know it was broken.

Overall, this is a $40 a night hotel with an $80 a night staff in a $40 a night location.

This two building hotel offers a small oasis with outdoor seating, pool and bar. Short walk (10 min) to local markets and a variety of restaurants. Staff are very helpful and lovely. Owners are welcoming and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable.

An average place to stay.

The room was very warm despite the a/c. The water was out for 2 of the 4 days. When they got it going there was so much sediment in the shower head, that they had to clean that out. They indicated there was a 180 degree view from our deluxe room, but that was not the case. The tuk tuk driver they got for us was incredible. His name was Wong and we highly recommend him for touring.

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of my brother who lives in Siem Reap. It has a lovely family atmosphere,the staff are charming and eagre to please. The owner, Ilanna is on hand with advice about what to see and do in Siem Reap. Our 'classic double' room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Ilanna provides glass water bottles which are refillable from a supply in the corridor - a great idea for those of us trying to cut down on plastic bottle waste. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is far away enough to miss out on the quite noisy evening bustle but close enough to walk in and join the fun.

The hotel is located off a small lane. It offers facials, massages, cooking classes and an outdoor pool. The rooms are very basic but the atmosphere is great. The meals are very
good.
They will arrange for tours and if you leaving early they will provide breakfast boxes.

Staff treat all guest extremely well. Rooms are clean but lack a little maintenance/ repairs (noisy bathroom fan, broken safety lock -room F8- air con broke last day). BUT, these are minor issues weighed against the excellent treatment by staff. The staff made me feel like a five star customer in a less than five star hotel.

I've truly enjoyed my stay at Baby Elephant and could not recommend it more!!
I would definitely come back to Baby Elephant on my next visit to Siem Reap!

Location:
Easy access to and from the airport - just 30 mins on tuktuk! The hotel is also located in the quiet part of the city, close enough to the old market/ pub street (10-15 mins walk) making it not too busy at night.

Facilities:
Free access to swimming pool with amazing selection of complimentary breakfast!
I've also done some yoga practice at the hotel terrace - all free of charge!

Staff:
As with all the Khmer people that I've came across, the staff were amazing in every way - always ready to help with big warm smile, especially Mr Vannet at the front desk!

Rooms:
Stayed here for 2 nights -
1 night @Budget Double Room - Room is located on the ground floor, but not noisy at all. Spacious room with basic amenities. Not bad at all for a 'budget' room!
1 night @Classic Double Room - Room is located on the first floor - amazing open view of the neighbourhood. Very clean room and much more spacious than the Budget Double Room. I've enjoyed every minute in here!

There are many good things about this hotel. It locates in a quiet side road, about 10 minutes from the city centre. The wi-fi is strong. The decoration and the use of color are very pleasant. Staffs are polite. Massage ladies are very professional. Price are very reasonable. However, when we 14 people arrived the hotel, many air conditions did not work properly. Other problems also occurred in some of the rooms such as bad water drainage, low water pressure. The staffs tried their best to solve the problems, including upgrading some of the rooms, yet it killed a lot of our humor especially in a hot summer day.

First time in Cambodia, couldn't have picked a better boutique hotel. From the time we walked in the staff was warm and friendly. They gave us suggestions and let us know what was around our area. The boutique also provides several services which we took advantage of, Such as bus tickets and tours. They call and organize it all for you.
The rooms are well kept and are cleaned daily they provide you with fresh towels, coffee and tea.
Beds are so comfy that you don't want to get up.
The food is phenomenal, breakfast is included. I was very impressed from the selection and choices that are offered just for breakfast. The Lunch and Dinner menu is also amazing, so if you dont feel like going anywhere or if you get rained out. You don't even have to leave your location.
The boutique also has a pool and bar, which in this heat comes in very handy.
Overall the stay was the best in a while over our travels. We were very content with the whole experience.

A nice clean friendly boutique hotel in Siem Reap

I stayed at the basic room. It's a no-frill, clean, and comfortable room with a private bathroom and hot water. It's perfect for the overnight stay (where I spent most of my day in the Angkor complexes). Staffs were nice and really friendly. Food on site and the happy-hour drinks by the pool were great. 10-15 min walk to Pub Street. Free Tuk Tuk pick-up from the airport (but not free for the airport drop-of).

The Baby Elephant was our 6th hotel experience in South East Asia during our month vacation, and what outstood at our experience was the customer service. Every single staff person was extremely friendly and helpful. They had great recommendations for every single tour, restaurants and things go do around town. They also have a great pool and somehow they manage to keep it in the PERFECT temperature, very different to previous experiences. Great breakfast and good location ( 5 min walk to Night Market). Great Value for Money

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in October 2014 and absolutely loved it. Tucked in a quiet by-lane, it is boutique but beautiful property with a homely appeal. Our room on the first floor was spacious and comfortable. Vivi, the hostess, is very helpful and full of energy. She helped us plan the entire trip, giving us valuable suggestions. She had arranged a wonderful driver for us, Sak Sak, who was there to receive us at the airport in his tuk tuk. Sak Sak was there with us for our entire trip at for a very reasonable predetermined price. Sak Sak reached the hotel at 5:00 am to take us for the sunrise view of Angkor Wat, while Vivi had already packed our breakfast for us. I realized half way through that I had forgotten my tickets for the temple complex. Sak Sak raced back without complaining and made sure that we reached the temple well before dawn. He was quick to offer us cold water, whenever we seemed exhausted and helped us find great vegetarian restaurants. We enjoyed the cute little pool at Rumahmu, which was available entirely for ourselves.

We stayed at Rumahmu for 7 nights and had a very enjoyable holiday there. As well as a spacious clean room with reliable water pressure, aircon and internet, the hotel was a very friendly place to stay. The owner Vivi can arrange a tuktuk or car for you to go on excursions at a very reasonable price, or recommend and book you on activities. The location is 10 minutes walk from Pub Street, and very close to the markets. Free breakfast and airport collection are added bonuses.

Fantastic hotel stay

My wife & I stayed here for 3 nights in November and our review will probably sound like many of the others here as loved our stay.

Great boutique hotel (big rooms), good location (a few blocks from pub street, easily walked each night), great breakfast, nice pool (perfect for cooling off after long, hot days of temple touring) & they were able to customize our touring experience to whatever we wanted. I liked the fact that we had the same tuk tuk driver the entire stay, including our airport transfers. That’s obviously not the most important thing, but I think it just gave it the personal touch.

On one of the mornings when we left very early to do sunrise, Vivi had a \"to go\" breakfast waiting for us. It was just a few sandwiches, but was really unexpected and thoughtful, since we hadn't requested it.

Vivi is the perfect host. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Convenient place in a quiet area

We stayed here for a couple of days, while visiting Siem Reap for the Angkor half marathon. It's a very nice hotel, not too big, friendly and very helpful owners, great place to hang around and enjoy the pool. The room is comfortable and well done, the bed is fantastic. We also enjoyed the breakfast, with a lot of choice and you can have it any time of the day. Walking to Siem Reap centre takes around 10', so you're not far, while the Rumahmu is in a very quite and peaceful side street with hardly any traffic.

Lovely small boutique hotel

Lovely small hotel with large rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast (mango pancakes a must have I season), refreshing & clean salt water pool, relaxing garden... You get the idea!
The hotel is about a 15 min easy walk to Pub street and Might Market. Tuk Tula are everywhere if you prefer not to walk. The hotel will also arrange friendly drivers with passable English for temple tours.
I stayed 4 days and didn't want to leave. Hope to be back again.

Very comfortable retreat

Nice distance out of the main area of town for a relaxing day poolside, though easily walkable/tuk-tukable to anywhere for markets, meals, temples. Friendly staff, beautiful accommodations--comfortable bed, good AC.

Fantastic hotel

We loved our stay at Rumahmu, the service was super friendly and efficient and the hotel/rooms were spotless. The pool area is lovely and an absolute necessity after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious (we highly recommend the mango pancake!) with fresh juice and decent coffee. The location was perfect for us, away from the madness of Pub Street but only a 10 minute walk or $1 tuk tuk ride away from the centre of town. Will definitely stay here again!
