The ambience of the hotel stood out. A little tropical sanctuary that welcomed you after the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of any requests. The breakfast was marvellous, clean room with veranda and swimming pool beautiful. We loved staying here.

We feel really welcome when we arrived at the moon residence hotel. We booked a double room for a night and the room was nice and clean. We appreciate it. We got motorcycles for 1 day 10$. It's really good but our motorcycle is good for me go to around the Siem Reap.
We wish we could of stay here longer but we didn't have much time in Cambodia. We hope that we would have chance to come back to Siem Reap city again.

When we booked our room it was offered as with garden view, we got room #10 and the only view from the balcony is a white wall. This room is so far from the main area that is very difficult to have stable WIFI. The TV wasn’t working and the electronic safe wasn’t working with the code so we had to carry the safe’s key with us all the time.
Very young and inexperienced staff, they were very kind and tried to be helpful but definitely they need proper training.
The food at the restaurant is terrible.
The hotel is located in an area where you can walk to pub street and the night market which is a plus.
The hotel offers tours and they do a good job booking them for you.

Part of me wants to not give this an amazing review so I can guarantee I’d always get a room! This hotel is beautiful, the pool is just lovely, the food and drinks are really good and the room is so comfortable. It’s in a great location to walk around Siem Reap and close to everything but also very quiet and peaceful with no noise at night. Vireak, Mey, Menghour and Lyhour are very very good and lovely people. My only regret with booking it is it’s so nice I didn’t want to leave! It’s a beautiful little boutique. Everyone in Siem Reap is so pleasant, the taxi drivers are very honest and kind, the locals are very lovely and I felt safer in Siem Reap than I do back in the Uk. I’m putting this hotel on my list to come back to with friends next year. I regret not staying for a few more days.
Only recommendation is to add a wake up call for those going to Angkor Wat sunrise.

Beautiful hotel set on a quieter road but within five minutes walk of pub Street and all the restaurants and bars. The pool area was a little paradise with lots of shade from trees and nature all around. Breakfast was delicious and the price of the room very reasonable. We managed to get a connecting room which was huge and beautifully designed which was ideal as we were travelling with two teenagers.

Staff was friendly and great location to pub street and lots of restaurants. The only con (which was no fault of the hotel) tv was not working due to construction nearby, but the staff was able to provide android tv box to use. The wifi was not great and wifi may not be important for other travelers, but we needed it to do work and we believe because tv was not working, maybe everyone was streaming and created wifi issues so this could be a one off situation. Overall great hotel and hospitality.

Room was a bit dreary because of dark wood furnishings , but so what..it was clean , and for what it cost it was excellent 👍. A lovely light breakfast was also included in the price. All staff were very very friendly and helpful. If loud thumping music is your scene Pub Stree is just minutes away by tuktuk...or walk if you're healthy and not a fattie like me. (Woke brigade...if you're upset by me saying-- fattie - I couldn't give a toss.). Had one of the nicest Tom Yum soups I have ever had , served poolside. Would have no hesitation staying here again.

Great stay, central comfortable and amazing pool

Loved our stay here. Booked for four nights but ended up staying five. The hotel was really quiet despite its central location. We were there over new year and two huge stages were built in Pub Street and we were worried noise would keep us awake; it didn’t. The rental bikes were the best we saw. Comfortable with gears and big wheels. The room was comfortable and large. And the pool was famtastic to return after a day of sightseeing. I would happily recommend.

A Little Slice of Paradise

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the chance to review this hotel, though honestly I am not sure where to begin to describe how lovely my experience was. As for the basics, my room was beautifully designed, modern, spotless, everything worked, and the plumbing was great (something I’ve learned is a little hit and miss in many SE Asian properties). The location is perfect, far enough from the busy tourist nightspots to be quiet but still only a short walk to the action. Nice restaurant, beautiful pool. Perhaps the most memorable part of my stay was the staff. What a lovely team of kind, welcoming young men and women. Really can’t recommend this hotel more highly. Bravo :)

What an incredible experience in an absolutely amazing hotel, with the kindest people you can meet in South East Asia! Moon Residence and Spa is the best solution for your stay in Siem Reap. Very fast to communicate before we arrived and answered all my questions. They assisted us with booking a tour to Angkor and the driver and the guide were the absolute best!! Highly recommend Mr Mau for Angkor tour in a tuk tuk and he also took us to the floating village. The hotel has very spacious rooms in a tru Khmer style. Cool, great amenities, very clean. The shampoo smelled soooo nice !! Everyone was very helpful, smiling , kind, respectful. People make this place spectacular. on our first day, we were very impressed that the hotel helped us get a to go breakfast very delicious, as we left very early to see the sunrise at the temples. The location is also the best! Just minutes away from all the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap. We got so used to being there, that we didn’t want to leave. Kids loved this hotel so much!!! The pool and courtyard are just beautiful. The front office manager was extremely helpful and so kind!! Wish we can come back and spend more time. Would definitely book again.
I can’t use enough words in this review to recommend enough this place and especially the staff. I will always cherish the memories. Thank you!!!!

This is an unusual time to be in Siem Reap with the closing of hotels, restaurants, etc., and an unprecedented drop of 95%+ of tourism. On the onehand, selfishly, it was nice to have the temples and normally hectic streets to myself, on the other hand it was heartbreaking watching this city close, temporarily.

I MUST thank the staff at Moon Residence and Spa for their hospitality and dedication to customer service. The website and photos are exactly spot-on. There are no surprises; what is advertised is what I got. The rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable with traditional Khmer design and furniture. The grounds are very well maintained, the pool is beautiful, the plants are well maintained and lovely. I have stayed in 5 different hotels over the years in Siem Reap and this by far was the most comfortable, clean and maintained.

The breakfast is very good and fresh. The one dinner I had was also very good. The only negative was the sewage renovation on the street outside. But it is happening throughout the city.

Mr. Soy, the General Manager was honest and helpful in difficult times. I thank him for the hospitality and wish them all the best on being able to re-open as soon as possible.

I strongly recommend The Moon Residence and Spa (which I did not try) for your next stay.

The staff made it feel like home from home and helped with anything we asked of them including tours and arranging airport transfers by Tuk Tuk. The pool is larger than it looked on the photos which was a bonus. My room was huge with a bath and shower along with two outdoor seating areas. Most importantly it was clean! A nice place, I don’t know that it is as “exceptional” as the reviews say, that’s probably only because they give you a discount on food and drinks if you write a good review for them, bit sneaky. It was reasonable though, breakfast was nice, staff were very attentive, almost over-friendly - we were asked where we were going and where we had been every time we went through the foyer. Bed wasn’t overly comfortable but I haven’t found one that is yet in south east Asia, refreshing pool, good location close to pub street

Hotel is relatively quiet and secluded in a busy area, the ground floor room occupied was spacious and pleasant if a little too dark, TV , Aircon etc worked well. The service standard of the staff, restaurant, bar was very good.
Main drawback was the presence of large numbers of mosquitoes experienced both in our room and in public areas including reception which I felt was unacceptable. This health anxiety should be alleviated by better control measures and staff vigilance. I brought this to the managements attention.
Siem Reap ia a very competetive accomodation environment on balance the Hotel and Staff , their services and support were very good and recommendable to fellow travellers.

우선, 펍스트릿과의 거리는 정말 가까운 편입니다. 걸어서 갈만하고 7~10분정도면 가는 듯 합니다. 레드피아노 정도는 걸어갈 수 있습니다. 15분 정도? 방 안에는 모기 없었지만 방 밖에는 많았는데 이건 어쩔 수 없는 거 같아요. 조식은 유럽식, 미국식, 아시안식 3종류이며 더 먹고 싶으면 더 달라하면 줍니다. 유럽식은 빵에 콘푸레이크or뮤즐리, 미국식은 빵, 베이컨, 소세지, 계란요리(오믈렛 후라이 등 중 택) 아시안은 볶음밥, 볶음면, 국수, 콘지(죽) 입니다. 실패없는 메뉴들이라 특별히 맛있는건 아니지만 무난히 먹을 수 있습니다. 방은 넓은편인거같고 매일 생수 2병을 줍니다. 공학픽업이 가능하며 툭툭을 무료로 제공하고 10달러 추가 시, 차로 이동 가능합니다. 공항까지는 차로 20분 정도 걸립니다. 체크아웃 이후 짐보관을 해주며 필요하면 샤워 시설을 쓸 수 있으나 1개 뿐이고 수건이나 어매니티는 제공되지 않습니다. 룸 기본 어매니티는 1회용 칫솔치약, 샴푸, 린스, 바디워시, 샤워캡, 빗, 면봉입니다.
저는 가족 4명이 가서 커넥팅 룸이었는데 괜찮았던 것 같습니다. 숙소 바로앞에 마트도 있고 24시간 하는 구멍가게 있어 물이나 맥주 사기에 괜찮고 noi coffee라고 바로앞에 카페 있는데 기본 투샷(우리나라 메가커피st?)에 라지 사이즈입니다. 걸어서 10분 거리에 하루 이용에 1달러인 헬스장 있어서 가봤는데 머신 있을 거 다 있습니다. 모래먼지 많은 건 감수해야 합니다....
럭셔리한 호텔은 아닙니다만 그냥 편하게 시내 근처에서 지내기 좋은 듯 합니다.

Wonderful stay!

We love it. We stayed 3 days 2 nights in this hotel in January 2020. Staffs are very warm and helpful. Location is great and close to Pub Street. Property is very well maintained. Rooms are spacious and quiet. I would strongly recommend to my friends and family.

Great hotel!!! Highly recommend!! The staff was beyond friendly!! They are very friendly and so accommodating!! The room was beautiful and clean!! The restaurant at the hotel is very adorable with great food! We traveled with our 1 year old son, so after putting him to bed at night we would order from the menu and they delivered it to our porch. If easy 5 minute walk to the market!

Outstanding hotel and staff, highly recommend!

We've spent 3 weeks travelling all around Cambodia with our teen daughter and this was by far our favourite hotel! It is an absolute gem, a peaceful haven within 10min walk of city centre and Pub street (we often walked in to town and then got a $2 tuk tuk home). It is pristinely clean and comfortable and the staff are like \"a happy family\" (their words) which shows in their superb customer service and eagerness to please. We stayed for 3 days each at the start and end of our trip, and it felt like coming home to return to staff who remembered us so warmly after 2.5 weeks away. Thank you so much, everyone for the most wonderful stay (especially to Phat in the bar/restuarant who was a perfect host, answering questions and explaining things to us and at the same time knowing when we wanted to be left alone for a while - Phat, you are amazing!)

Very nice and quiet hotel in a convenient location

Great hotel. Staff was very polite and pleasant.
Facilities are well maintained and work perfectly. Location is great, very close to the center but quiet. Tours are slightly higher than street prices but well worth the extra comfort and peace of mind.

Over all we would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

This was my third stay at Moon Residence and I can’t wait for the next one! I’ve travelled the world and nowhere matches the Moon for the amazing staff and value it offers.
The rooms and pool are beautiful, the food is delicious (seriously, consider eating in as the food is unmatched for quality versus price outside — the spring rolls are the best ever!), and the staff are too lovely for words.
You’re staying at a family-owned boutique hotel and it makes all the difference. The owner cares about the staff too, supporting them to improve their English and giving them time to study. This is ethical travel with no compromise on comfort.
I know most people plan their stay in Siem Reap around seeing Angkor Wat and the other temples, but I’d highly recommend allowing a couple of extra days to stay and relax and get to know the Khmer people too — they are the reason we come back to Siem Reap time and again.
I’ve been home less than a week and I already feel homesick for the Moon.

Excellent service and attention to detail. In the heart of city center, just 10 minutes away walking distance from pub street. I would like to stay here next time that i come back to siem riep. I saw other reviewers complaining about noise early in the morning but nothing to complain about in my visit to the moon boutique hotel. Now we’re staying at 5 the templation resort and the service hasn’t been as good as the moon with a price tag twice more expensive.
