This is the second time ive stayed. Staff were great as always. When arrived fridge was not working and they were straight on to it to get it fixed. A few nights in TV stopped working and again straight away it was fixed. Unfortunately i had to call them a few times to get the hot water fixed and in the end i gave up as my stay was almost finished.

Room wasn't what I really wanted. They claim that it was classified for smokers. The whole lobby & the room itself was laden with cigarette odor. Our health conditions worsened because of the stench. We were suffering heavy cough & cold it got real bad that we sought medical consultation & treatment.
The staff were definitely courteous & helpful. They fully assisted us in our trip to the airport. Bed linens were immaculately clean & fixed.

For the price, the service and amenities were below expectations. We chose this hotel because of the airport shuttle and it turned out we have to arrange it a day before. They only have a landline number in Expedia which we can’t get through. There’s no hot shower, the room and the bathroom are tight, the toilet cover keeps falling and the soap foam somewhat flows back up and pools on the floor.

The front desk staff that we talked to doesn’t seem to welcome feedback. I’m not even sure if she relayed the feedback to the management.

The only redeeming thing is the breakfast buffet which is decent enough.

We started off in one room which started good then unfortunately we experienced typhoon tino and we found out the window was broken and i had to hold the window for about 4 hours during strong winds so it didnt break before I was able to notify staff. Once staff had been notified they were great in getting us a new room for the rest of the stay.

The only downside I had (due to personal choice) was the options for breakfast. There was not a lot of options for a fussy eater like myself.

The staff were great.

Stayed at Toyoko Inn Cebu overall, it’s a clean, safe, and well-maintained hotel. The free breakfast is good and the airport shuttle service is definitely a nice feature for travelers.

However, there’s an issue with their airport shuttle policy. The service doesn’t operate 24 hours, it only starts at 6:00 a.m. Unfortunately, my flight was early, and when I mentioned it upon check-in, the staff said they couldn’t accommodate before 6 a.m. On departure day, I found out the driver could actually go as early as 5:30 a.m. if I had made a reservation, which I did mention days before, but they failed to book it. As a result, our slot was given to others, and we ended up taking a taxi instead.

It was a bit disappointing after informing them in advance, but aside from that, the stay was comfortable.
✅ Overall: Clean, safe, and convenient — but the shuttle service system needs improvement.

I can’t wait till I am back in the Philippines! This hotel is a home away from home. The staff is always kind, informative, and warm welcoming. The housekeeping are sweet, trust worthy, and hardworking. The resturaunt staff are friendly and work quickly on getting meals to customers. Special shout out to Kaye who will always greet you with a smile and very courteous, she is very dedicated and professional to her job. For the price and for a short stay, this hotel is an excellent choice. I usually stay here for a two-night layover when arriving in or leaving Cebu before heading to my final destination. The complimentary breakfast buffet is quite good, and the free airport shuttle is very convenient, all included in the rate. The hotel is also located right above a mall, making it easy to shop, dine at a wide variety of restaurants, or even visit salons, with direct access from the hotel.

It was convenient to the mall. It took the next day to realize the elevators took us there. It was clean besides a stain on a pillow. There was only a bed sheet instead of a fitted sheet. I liked it had a little fridge and dining table. The bathroom reminded me of a motorhome style. It had a little souviner shop downstairs, I wish it was stocked with more stuff. Breakfast was neat. I like the cafeteria/self serve style. I would stay again if in the area for a night or two.

We stayed 4 nights at Toyoko Inn, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nice with a comfortable bed. We were met at the airport on arrival and shuttled to the hotel. It was nice to have breakfast included- more gluten free options would have benefited us. It was very convenient to stay here right at the mall where we could choose from many places to eat and easily get transportation. We’d recommend staying here to be on the north side of Cebu City in Mandaue. Housekeeping is daily or they leave towels if you put out DND sign too.

Bathrooms are smaller, with toilet next to the basin. If you are a basic traveller this shouldn't be an issue. Also rooms are smaller. This is an inn, not an hotel. If you a traveller who loves big space, and your height and weight requires space then feel free to book elsewhere. If you are fit, a travelling tourist who likes basic things, I would recommend this place.

Airport pick up and drop off is free. However, you must always book in advance.

The property is connected to SM Mall Cebu. Its a beautiful mall with tons of dining options. What is really remarkable is the staff here at Toyoko Inn. They are extremely friendly and kind. They all communicate very well with guests and assist in every way they can. I was meant to spend one night only here, but seeing the overwhelming friendliness of the staff, I decided to extend and stay on for two additional nights.

This was a good place to stay if you have excursions booked. There’s nothing around the area other than a mall. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was nice — however I booked a massage hours in advance and when I arrived they weren’t prepared or didn’t expect me. So that was disappointing. But as I said, if I had things to do, I would stay again. But if you want to explore on your own — stay in Cebu city proper or near the airport.

I love this hotel! It is hands down the best in Mandaue City. The front staff is kind and informative, the cleaning staff is trustworthy and efficient, and the restaurant staff is very kind with good conversation.

I would also like to give a positive recognition to the worker Mae at the resturaunt staff. Not only is she very good and excellent at her job, she is polite and a great employee to have on your team
