This is a very nice hotel at a very reasonable price. The room I had was huge, king bed, comfortable sitting area, lounge chair, desk, closet, nice bathroom with both shower and tub.

There are some dining options within walking distance and a popular dance club across the street. Not much in the way of shopping though.

Staff was courteous but a little slow to respond to problem with card key at room door. My only complaint.

Overall, I enjoyed staying at the hotel. The wifi in the room was not the best, but that is understandable since the access points are in the halls. It is hard to penetrate the walls when the access point is more than 30 meters away. Luckily, the room had an ethernet port for my laptop to plug in and the internet was top notch.
I really loved the waterfall shower head.

Roach infested!!!

We booked the barkada room.

We saw several cockroaches. When we went into the bathroom, they started scurrying as soon as we turned on the lights.

There were baby cockroaches everywhere, including on the bed and pillow. At first, we thought they were bed bugs so we started inspecting the mattresses. We pulled 1 bed away from the wall to take a closer look.

We had to step out for a bit. We notified the front desk of the situation. They said that they would report it and provide us feedback. (?) We had no idea what that was supposed to mean.

When we returned to our room, we noticed that someone had been in there without our prior knowledge or approval. The bed we had pulled out had been pushed back against the wall.

There were even more cockroaches this time. We saw over 20 in a short span. We took several pictures and videos. We spent a lot of time trying to kill all of them.

They had gotten into our bags. My sister had a transparent make-up case that was left open on a table and it had a few cockroaches in there. There were cockroaches in a hand-carry that had a zipper slightly open. There was even a dead cockroach in the fridge. Who knows if there were more in there?

We spent 3 hours going through our bags and at the same time, looking for another hotel. There was no way that we were going to stay there.

A cockroach even fell from the ceiling and landed on my nephew's face while we were going through our things.

We checked out as soon as we could.

This is our 6th or more times we've stayed at this hotel. We've noticed that the room has gotten smaller & tightier. We used to have robes, slippers, combs, shampoos & conditioners. But we've noticed some of those items were missing.

I booked this for my parents to attend an event held in same Hotel. Per family experience, Hotel is good and staff were nice as well as accomodating. The only issue i got with this booking was paying extra for breakfast and not getting what you paid. So, I would say posted option for breakfast in expedia when booking this Hotel is not reliable. I would suggest paying the breakfast directly to the Hotel during your stay.

The doorman and reception staff and every staff member i interacted with during my stay were polite and helpful.
Prior to arrival contacting the hotel was very difficult and took 3 days of phone calls to eventually speak with someone.....very frustrating waste of time.
The room was clean and comfortable.
However nearly every day the room was serviced some things were replaced but others werent.....very confusing.
on two occassions the bathmat was taken but know clean bathmat was left??.....as i kept explaining to housekeeping this was dangerous as the floor was slippery when wet.
On one occassion the towels were taken but no fresh ones left??
Both these situations were able to be rectifiied by contacting the staff .....but was just strange situation
On several occassions the coffee sachets that i used werent replaced the next day......and when i contacted the staff and advised i only needed coffee (no sugar no creamer no tea) ......i got tea and sugar left in my room but no coffee??
overall stay was good and all staff i spoke to were polite and helpful......just some strange things with the room

Good hotel despite lack of a doorman

The hotel is tucked away down a back street in an old district of Cebu city called Mabolo. Upon arriving there was no doorman to greet us or carry our suitcase up the steps in front of the hotel. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem however i had an accident 2 weeks prior and had injured my back so it was a real struggle to get into the lobby. The Lobby itself is quite pleasant with lots of marble and an open fish pond although strangely no seating unless you sit on the ponds edge. Checking in was straight forward as i had prepaid through hotels.com and only needed a signature a copy of my passport and a 1000 peso deposit. The receptionist gave us our room card and wifi logins and then left us to it. Upon entering the room it was already air conditioned which was a pleasant surprise in the Philippines as you usually have to activate it once you enter. The room which was a junior suite was of a reasonable size and very clean. The reason for going for it was that it had a full size bath which i wanted for my aforementioned bad back and i had three long baths over the 2 days we stayed which set me up for the long haul flight back to the UK. The bathroom also had a double size shower which worked well for the wife and overall i would say it was one of the best i have experienced in the Philippines over the 25 years I have been going there. Overall a good stay which could be enhanced by having a full time doorman (i did spot one on the middle day when i didn't need him).

I was told i was “upgraded” but when i got in, it was a smaller room, with a queen-sized bed, and no bathtub.

I asked to be moved. Then I was made to wait 2 hours. And in the end, i still had to stay in the same room.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. The amenities are seriously lacking. The pool is very small amd and partially indoors. No seating around the pool. The pool bar is just a small counter in the corner that wasn't staffed when I went. The convenience shop wasn't open much during the day. The \"restaurant\" breakfast isnt anything great. Lots of breads and meats. The staff gets 5 stars. The hotel gets 2.

It was senior friendly, though house keeping was a bit short in cleaning the floor, TV/cable has some issues, buffet have very poor healthy or senior friendly options. The fruits we're limited to recurring pineapple that had no flavor and water melon. The cafe service is agonizing and the food was too expensive, a melon salad took about 50 mins. Otherwise, it was okay. The front desk was efficient.

While the hotel itself was nice enough I found the staff to be quite rude, unfriendly and uncaring. I could've overlooked the utter lack of WiFi, lack of toilet paper, broken room safe, and lack of robes but the two men working at the front desk (one at check in and one at check out) were total imbeciles and made the whole experience one I will never repeat and so I encourage others to avoid this hotel as well. I could give more details and examples but this place just isn't worth any more of my time.

We arrived at the hotel and was told to sign off some house rules including not to bring any drinks or food from outside ( and they even have fines on the paper if doing so) but the shop inside the hotel was closed during our stay. At the middle of the night we go waken up by some very loud screams and seems like someone was fighting on the hallway. Called the reception and they said they’ll check. Then heard the phone calling in the room next door lol probably their way of checking. In 10 min time somebody from the hotel showed up and heard them mentioning that the room next door ( that was us) complained about the noise. Hell of a privacy and security!! And they did let the people stay in the room after that! They didn’t even apologise at all, not even a single sorry!! Disappointing and def won’t stay there again!

I like everything about how the staff and crew handled our stay in the hotel (friendly, professional & hospitable), clean facilities & very up to date (contactless card) but:
* not a smooth check in process, I made 2 separate reservations & been told that our check in should be the following day, had to collate all the necessary infos & explain what happened. We still managed to go in in the end.
* no toilet rolls on our 2nd day and rusty & faulty toilet roll holder
* not accommodated in the resto as it shuts at 10pm, not allowed to get food delivered so had to go to the nearest eating place

On the lighter note:
We would like to thank Eve from the frontdesk as despite being hectic in the day of our check in she still managed to accommodate all our queries and questions.

Not Recommended and Stay Away!

Not so good experienced of service with some of the hotel staff. Quite surprising for a Filipino service and it’s unusual. When we checked-out the hotel in the morning the lady in front desk is quite rude the way she speaks to the guests. We asked for change room due to aircon not working and the bed offered in new room was 2 single bed, we requested to combined together but the guy in room service said they cannot combined the 2 beds. But I called and checked with the front desk and they combined the bed together. Very disappointing. The food in the restaurant is not good and need a lot of improvement on the quality of taste The coffee is not good and we requested for instant coffee (3in1) and surprisingly answered they don’t have but they are offering for free in the room. Overall not recommended to stay!

Nice hotel, great staff , bed was comfortable, only downside to the hotel was the pool is consistently closed for conferences.
The pool bar was poor although the Batman tried his best.
Try putting up a divide so both can remain open and encourage guests to the pool area.
Location is good also and taxi availability is excellent.

This Hotel was really good value for money, our stay included breakfast, breakfast was simple and enough to kill any hunger pains. We also had a meal one evening in their restaurant food was really great including the Hamburger they made for me...( Thank You )
Rooms were of a good size, with carpet by the bed area. Towels were a little small, but otherwise ok.
There is a nice little swimming pool and also a small shop which carries most of your basic needs, saves you from having to go out from the hotel.Clean and tidy and the staff were all very helpful and polite. A good place to stay.

Really friendly and even went out of the way to accomodate us on a more conveninte room in the second nigh at not extra charge to accomodate out baby needs. They gave us tour tips and traditional ideas. Facilities are good. Area is not so good but there is a conveninte store a block away and Ayala mall 1 kil away, aprox.

I cannot really recommend this hotel, as the service lacks in several ways. Some people are really nice and friendly there, but others are not very outgoing at all. Laundry was supposed to be delivered in the morning around 9 AM, that's what I was told and then after 3 calls (they never had the idea to call me back by themselves) I received my laundry around 1 or 2 PM. Check-In was also very, very long and unprofessional, they mixed up 2 bookings and it took them about 20 minutes to sort it out. Also when I wanted to change something on my reservation, they were not flexible at all. Hotel rooms are VERY noisy (you can hear your neighbours all the time). Internet was working maybe 50% of the time. Wouldn't go here again, sorry.

The hotel is not located in the cleanest area of town, however it is situated in a good location. It was only 15-20 min taxi drive to and from Airport with mild traffic. The hotel looked clean until i pulled the sheets back. Sheets had stains and didn't look washed very well. House cleaning was terrible! They did not get to my room until 3pm, actually had to find them and ask them to service my room. When the room was finally cleaned, they only made the bed and refilled the toilet paper. They did not empty any of the trash cans or replace towels on the floor. I found 2 roaches in the room during my stay.

A decent 2 and a half star hotel with a pool

Not really a four stay hotel but a decent, recently built, 3 (or let's say a two and a half) star. The only four star part is the awesome buffet breakfast definitely awesome by Filipino standards). There is a decent size pool but somewhat dull. Actually the entire hotel is a bit dull with very little vibe. Rooms are adequate, nothing to write home about (and in my view, inner soundproofing is lacking). I cold book this hotel again if the price is advantageous.

So much potential

This hotel has a wonderful facade. The lobby, restaurant, elevators, hallways , and room all appear very clean modern and tasteful. I was very excited for our stay here. Unfortunately the staff needs a lift more training and the facade is in need of maintenance. Upon arrival the front desk gave us two coupons for free breakfast (which we did not pay for). So the following morning we were shocked when half way through our breakfast the server change and told us that we owe 800 pesos each for the meal! Im amazed that they would do this. In particular waiting until we were already eating to inform us that the person that checked is in was mistaken to give us coupons for breakfast and that we must now pay for the meal. I would not have eaten at the hotel because the options were mostly steamed cabbage etc... So the only reason we went there was because the hotel gave it to us for free (turns out that was a scam). When we went to leave ther dining area the server held the door closed until we provided our room number (which was on the coupon...) then walked then walked away audio girlfriend had to open the door for herself. The staff here had very poor manners.
We also ordered a 2 hour in room couples massage. The therapists did not have massage tables and so had us lie on the bed. Not the best way to get massaged. But worst was that they were talking and laughing with each other the entire time.
The room looks nice but had several loose fixtures and water stains on ceiling.

Best hotel under $100 in Cebu

We stayed her for $55 a night. went to another place for $5 a night cheaper because Mezzo was booked out. We then came straight back here and stayed for three more bookings than we expected. The hotel is like brand new. So clean and the staff are fantastic. And Mezzo hotel is in Mabello which is a really good area. Fantasic night club 100m away. #4 blocks walking is one of the best shopping and dining areas in town. Seriously, for the price, this has to be one of the best hotels in Cebu. The rooms are fantastic. We have travelled all over Thailand and now in the Philipeens and this is the niceest hotel on our trip so far and its only like USD$55 a night. I give a huge recommendation to anyone looking or a nice place to stay in a good part of town in CEBU. Excellent. 5 Stars.

Clean, modern, well- priced and near Ayala Mall

The hotel is modern and somewhat clinical looking and located down a side street which taxis struggle to find. We booked the room for two adults and one child sharing one bed. We found the bed to be rather small for 3 compared to other hotels we have stayed in.
The breakfast was rather limited with unusual flavour juices which my daughter refused to drink. Had there been mango or orange juice then there would be no problem. Although we booked the room for 3 people, we were only given breakfast for 2 so I went without. We had a dip in the pool but it was cold. Is it asking too much for it to be warm?
The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Ayala Mall so quite convenient for a bit of shopping or for restaurants.

Room was nice, comfy, and clean. More importantly it was priced very well. The eatery was set up beautifully, but we weren't too fond of the hot food selection and especially the seasoning which were all the same sweetness taste to them. So both days I ended up eating French toast which was not stocked up the first day and the second day it was like a regular toast. We'd probably stay here again only because it was a nice and clean hotel and priced right. Hopefully they would take surveys on what the customer expect or want in the future for their breakfast food selection.

The hotel is new and looks modern and clean. There were few minor issues here and there (probably because they are still new), but they were promptly addressed.The personnel was helpful and eager to assist us and make things right.

We stayed there with the family and re-booked few times. It was a good deal with the breakfast included. Though I wouldn't pay the walk-in price (400 pesos) for it.

The pool is small but was good enough for the kids. Pool towels are available but you have to ask. The gym was OK but not great.

Value for money.

It is not easy to find. Hotel restaurant had good chef and food (paid). However breakfast is so so. The restaurant waiters require professional training. Their attitude of service are no good and talk to each other very loud, like a market. The staff is helpful when I require a taxi. There is a mall not very far and take about ten minutes taxi ride. There are many restaurants at the mall.

Failed expectations!

I expected a lot more for a new 4 star hotel. I was disappointed because of the following that the Management news to address:
1) no bath robes, which even 3 star hotels provide
2) towels are very thin and short - they almost feel like used towels
3) pillows are soft and uncomfortable
4) shower door looked very nice but it was not functional - it does not close
5) there are no hooks anywhere in the bathroom to hang the used towels
6) placement of the toilet paper is wrong - do not put in the back!
7) there is not water spray at the toilet, which one can find in most hotels
8) very few selection of buffet food
9) there should be 3 sets of towels: face towel, hand towel, and bath towel

Dishonest staff but Good Hotel for the Price

Hotel guest book in the room says local calls are free/included. When we checked out they charged us for the calls. When I explained to them that their book even says the calls are free they wouldn't even be courteous enough to reverse the charges. It wasn't about the price, it was the fact that they would not be understanding about it even though it was their fault in the first place.

Don't trust what you read or even hear in this area of the Philippines. Always get your answers directly from the source and you'll be fine.

Overall a good place a to stay while in Cebu city. A short drive to all the good shopping and restaurants. Food in the hotel was good quality. Gym is tiny. Not good enough for a full body workout. Pool is hidden away in the middle of the hotel but quite private I guess. Rooms are spacious with everything you need.

Dirty towel everyday. Bad service

I stayed for 2weeks. Got very dirty towel and reques them several times but no change no improvement. A lot of Chinese guest there and they are very noisy at night as hell.
Good point is Room is spacious and decorated as this is Avery new hotel. management of this hotel need improvement otherwise their business will not grow.

Decent hotel, substandard spa.

Great breakfast. First room lacked the hotel info booklet, second room didn't have spare toilet paper. No racks for towels in the bathrooms. DO NOT enlist services at the Well spa. Masseuse was unprofessional; texting and excessively chatting during my session.

Mezzo love this

Clean, simple, no nonsense business hotel that caters to families & friends, too. We stayed in their \"barkada room\" and it worked great for our bonding moments. Nice buffet breakfast, friendly & courteous staff, accessible location. Good value for money.

good value hotel, the wifi is not great - and the gym is a joke - but if you are not needing a gym and dont care about average wifi the value is good - clean place - they make you wait quite awhile while they check your room when you check out - which I found odd and not convenient if you are holding up a taxi waiting

Nice clean hotel. Only bad part which didn't bother us is the TV isn't easy to use plus Cable wasn't working as they left us a note under our door informing us.
Staff is very friendly.
Just a note so others won't panic. You need your room key above I believe 4 floor.
When we got into the elevator we push 5th floor then notice we had to swipe our key. Well the elevator was already moving but stopped at 4th floor. Took a good minute or two to restart to 5th. Kinda scary thought stuck in elevator. Front check in staff should notify guests if they're staying past 4th floor. For some reason only need to swipe key for 5th floor or above.

A new upcoming hotel. Great location. It’s a pricey hotel. Closed to SM main. Great service and yummy breakfast buffet. Breakfast crew could have been more attentive. Not a fan of their bed and their pillow could have more fluff.Otherwise great hotel.

Sensational hotel. Great value

We made a last minute booking at the Mezzo as our ferry had been cancelled and we needed somewhere to stay for the night.
We booked a superior room and we were very very happy.
The hotel is fairly new, very clean and the staff are all very welcoming and professional.
We had an amazing dinner at the in house restaurant, the quality of the food and service was 5 Star. Unfortunately we left too early for breakfast the next morning but we were given a take away breakfast pack, which was a lovely touch.
The hotel is only 15 minutes from the ferry terminal which was a bonus for us.
We highly recommend the Mezzo hotel.

Beautiful comfortable rooms. Lovely swimming pool and gym. Absolutely fantastic food and brilliant service. Definitely staying there next time in Cebu.

The room was excellent. Deep soaking tub, big TV compared to other hotels, clean. Nice pool. Staff friendly and professional. Wi-fi not good in the room. Still had on going construction at the time of my stay.

Newest hotel property in Panagdait area

The hotel was initially hard to find as most cab drivers didn't know about the hotel. That should change within a year's time. If you booked their cheapest room, then be prepared for small beds. If you're staying alone, I suggest booking rooms with one big bed in it or upgrade it to the next room category. I will book the next room category the next time I decide to stay in this hotel. They have one of the best buffets in the area so you won't regret splurging a bit food-wise. The ambiance is mostly white - perfect for staying in during gloomy weather. The hotel lobby has a very comfortable lounging area. Since the hotel is smack dab in the middle of a semi-residential area, it is advisable to walk around a bit and see the entertainment scene for yourself. The area is littered with restaurants serving Asian cuisine - mostly Japanese and Korean so there's no shortage of places to eat. The nearest 24-hour convenience store is in the building complex across the hotel. If you prefer a 7-Eleven, you'll have to walk past Sarrosa Hotel to a gas station that has the nearest 7-Eleven within a kilometer. I will be sure to select this place again a few months from now.

Water in the bathroom is terrible, was not able to properly tLe a shower due to that. They said they were sorry as maintenance in the pipes is on going.
Internet has a very poor signal inside the room. It's more of a 3 star hotel.
Buffet breakfast has limited options also especially to those who prefer bread.
