The location of Golden Prince Hotel is unbeatable! It’s just a short walk to Ayala Center Cebu, which made shopping and dining so easy. The staff are super friendly and courteous, making me feel welcome from the moment I checked in.
The highlight for me was the bed—it was so comfy that I got some of the best sleep I've had in a while. Plus, their buffet breakfast is amazing with plenty of delicious options. A perfect base for a Cebu trip!

The room they gave us had an issue the first night we arrived. There a puddle of water around the toilet. The leak actually came from under the sink near the toilet. Had to call front desk to have maintenance come fix the leak. The room should have been checked thoroughly before assigning it to us. Positive input was the maintenance guy fixed the leak right away. Complimentary breakfast was only okay. First day of breakfast they said they ran out of eggs and it was only 8am. We did complain about the eggs. Subsequent days, the eggs were overwhelmingly available. Third issue was getting stuck in the elevator because the key card we needed to use to get to our floor did not work. After a few times trying the key card, the ekevator stopped responding. Had to press the Call button to get help. Despite all these issues, I have to commend the staff for being so helpful.

First night was horrible the room we are in, were infested with cockroaches, crawling in bed , bathroom countertop and coffee / tea pot table . Mirror in the bathroom were broken, restaurant has broken floors, stumbled and fell on my toes luckily I wore shoes caused if I didn’t I could end up losing my toes.
Brought it up to the manager. We were upgraded into a better room with a broken mirror also. I so not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Golden Prince Hotel was a delight to stay at. They are very helpful and kind. The hotel is right across from a convenient store and coffee shop. They always had taxi's and car service when needed. The location is very close to a lot of places to visit also. Close to shopping mall and numerous dining options as well. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The rooms were very nice and affordable. The also have a restaurant with buffet option to. I enjoyed the stay very much thanks for the hospitality.

Only 1 person working the front desk.. slow to get checked in. Went to room and was super hot. Turned on the aircon and went down to the libby and ate at the buffet. Food was terrible cold and old. I've had better food in jail. Went back to the room after eating and my room was still a sauna. Maintenance came and cleaned the filter and told us to monitor it. It's not blowing cold air so a filter clean is not going to solve the problem, besides im tired NOW and its too hot to sleep. I left.the premises and checked in at the nustar casino hotel..best choice!

Staff is unprofessional and unorganized. They keep telling us our suite room is ready by 2:00 pm and then 2:20 pm 2:30 pm 3:00pm and the room was ready at 3:30 pm. We found out that the previous occupants checked out already (this time its already 3:30pm) but they did not clean the room and the attendant keep telling us she called already and the room should be ready soon. The lobby don’t have enough space so sit down and staffs is not friendly at all. This hotel was recommended to me and for sure I am not going back. Its not just us who encountered this problem, the people we've talked they have the same problem and she got mad at them and provided them a temporary room for a while. You can do better than this hopefully your service will improve.

The worst customer service ever encountered in a hotel not recommended!!
On the first day of my stay I ask the reception to transfer me to other room as I Have work to do and the promised Wi-Fi was not usable as the signal is not good on. I also could not use my own data cellular because my view is only a big wall of a building next door resulting on no phone signal either!! The reception said no other rooms are available. I said I can wait for the next day when other guest are checking out… So on the next day I asked again the front desk if I can transfer she said she will not transfer me because I might still want to get yet another room again after this!! ..Judging me as a headache to them!!
I had important work to do which is why I was there…They also said they wouldnt clean my room again
Also there was no towels and bedding and this was mentioned on a board in reception but of course I didn’t know this until I arrived and had already paid non-refundable… I also choose this hotel to unwind in-between work but for my whole stay in this hotel was terrible experience by staff that didn’t and condescending.

Pretty and very recently updated. Handy location, but dangerous roads. (Traffic..YIKES!) Staff were VERY courteous, smiling and helpful, but pretty obviously ingenuine. (In other words WELL TRAINED). Food...ESPECIALLY breakfast had little to know \"American or European Dishes.\" If you like lots of different rice and noodles..cool, but get there early..they do not HEAT their Buffet. So, cold food is the norm. Could it hurt to make some bacon or sausage? Maybe an Omelette? How about a REAL hamburger? OTHER than the food...I really liked the place.

Great place to stay of Home away from Home

The one thing that has amazed me was the excellent welcome of the Concierge staff. It was past midnight of January 4, 2020 and Joanna was the name of the Staff at the Concierge and she has welcome me very warmly and with great and positive energy. Thank you Joanna. And we had a great conversation as I checked in for my room accommodation. The briefing was perfect and I felt home away from home. The services were very good and the place was a very good and quiet place and very relaxing. Thank you very much Golden Prince Hotel and Suites. One of the lights in the room where I occupied was busted and the electrical staff was there right away to fix it. The Electrician's name was I think Ronnie. And so he fixed the busted light. Thank you Ronnie. Everything in the room was very good and really I was able to sleep well and relax before my activity during that day. I wish to recommend that you check in at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites if ever you are in Cebu City. It is really very great to stay at this Hotel. The food during the breakfast which was buffet in style was very delicious. It was generally Filipino Cuisine which were served yet there were foreign cuisines such as vegetable salads, French toast and other great food. When I left the hotel in the early morning of January 5, 2020 on my way to the airport for my early flight, the Security Staff was very courteous and accommodating to assist me to get a taxi. What a great service of small acts yet very important.

It was a good room for the price and have no complaints about that. Check in time is 2 PM the wife and myself showed up at three so we didn’t have to wait. At 3 PM they told me my room is still not ready and I had to sit in the lobby for approximately 45 minutes. Breakfast was below average for that area and the Wi-Fi would constantly change passwords so I would keep getting kicked off and have to call down to the front desk or they wouldn’t answer the phone. So then after they wouldn’t answer the phone I would have to go down there and get an updated password. Was not a bad hotel but much better options in that area.

My family stayed there over the weekend and it was a descent place to stay. The rooms are clean. The staff are so customer friendly and always going out of their way to meet my needs. The breakfast buffet is convenient to my family cause we were with 3 senior citizens. The only thing that was odd was that they didn’t provide face towels, but you had to request to be provided with some. Overall, I’d rate them 4.5/5 stars. I wished they had a pool too.

It was the staff! They were so polite and just exceptional at the job. They were the ones that made it possible for me and my granddaughter to enjoy our stay there. The food was excellent, Exceptional, and it was so tasty and so delicious. We ate there in the restaurant just about every single day of our stay there. We had breakfast lunch and dinner and it just tasted more and more delicious each time we ate! Just to give you an idea of how much we loved our stay there, my granddaughter cried all the way back home to Sydney, and she’s even planning on going back again sometime in the near future.. Thank you Golden Prince Hotel for making our stay there with you a most pleasant and memorable time ever! I have travelled and stayed in many hotels in different parts of the world, but never have I thoroughly loved and enjoyed my stay in any hotel, like I have with you. It should be better if they have a queen bed that I requested. 2twin bed together is not comfy. Our breakfast orders were never followed, then why give us choices?
Thanks for the complimentary water bottles, but it should be better if it comes every after room cleaning. The shower would wet the entire bathroom floor, I wonder whose design was it? The staffs were wonderful!

The only things I could say needs improvement would be the bathroom sink having basically on or off operation, the TV channels functionality was inconsistent, and the power outlets next to the lamps on the side of the beds are too close. double standard and discriminate their guest

Front Desk needs more training in handling guest. They have double standards and discriminate guest. If you look well in their perception you'll get a new room if not you'll get an old, ugly room despite paying the same price. Check in was a nightmare, and so was the whole stay. Jen was unprofessional, condescending and very rude. I was initially put at 512, the room is old, ugly, smelly and straight from bates motel ambience. It was not the one on the pictures. I called front desk and ask to be moved, but I got an insult instead telling me I only booked a premier suite 1. I was eventually moved to 820 with a malfunctioning AC. The room was hot and very uncomfortable. I called the following morning before breakfast to have someone check the AC, no one came, I called couple more times and around lunch time I finally lost it when on my 4th call they told me they are sending the maintenance guy without even asking what room I was at (clearly, they just say that to dismiss me). I went at the front desk and demand to talk to their manager. Instead of letting me talk to the manager, they moved me again to another room (836). The whole stay was nightmare. I’m not going back here.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price near the city, but lunch was just passable, but the breakfast was unsatisfactory and especially because it was mainly cold even though it was a buffet and there were no fruit juices and hardly any choice, so the breakfast was really not good at all!

The hotel is in a good location near to one of the main malls in Cebu. The staff were friendly and tried to help. The WiFi was terrible and barely worked. This caused lots of inconvenience and meant that the WiFi was almost non-existent. I also had a repeated problem with my door handle that they could not resolve throughout my stay which meant I was regularly locked out of my room. The hotel was clean and reasonable value for money but because of these to issues I would not stay in this hotel again.
