This used to be my go to spot in Cebu. It was dated but the staff was super nice and it’s a great location. On this stay however I’m quite disappointed. The front desk staff simply can’t correct super basic issues. Some nights the WiFi just dies, and the hotel pool was closed for maintenance for most of my stay. Too bad about this one, this used to be a such a relaxing experience.

Misleading Hotel but Excellent Expedia Support!

Review:
The hotel room was nothing like the photos – it had a fake window (just a screen with a wall behind it) and no ventilation, making it unbearable. However, Expedia’s support team was incredible! They helped me immediately, assisted in booking a new hotel, and processed my refund right away. I’m truly grateful for their prompt and professional service. While I do not recommend this hotel, I highly recommend Expedia for their outstanding customer care.

Seems like they all a bit jaded from all the tourists, I don’t know. But have no desire to ever visit that city again, just too busy for me personally

Feeling disappointed on this stay.

Booked 2 rooms, both were at the back of the hotel, 1 had a small window, the other none. Previous stay was at the front with windows. Restaurant staff is run by OJT staff not professional waiters. Went down for dinner, was told had to be buffet. If I wanted a la carte it was available if I ate it in my room. I asked the waitress where can I eat and was told go to Jollibee. When I went to complain at the front desk she made a phone call and said I could eat in the rooftop restaurant it had the same a la carte menu. The only caring waitress at breakfast was Wella. The rest I would terminate on the spot. The breakfast buffet was poorly stocked with items running out.Will look for another property for my next visit.

The staff allowed me to check in early and I'm very grateful because I'm a surgical postop patient. The room was quiet and spacious, although the room I received had no window(s). I can hear people walking outside the door, including the walkie talkie used by staff to communicate with each other. However, it did not bother me. Overall, the staff were helpful and pleasant. Thank you for your hospitality.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, about 5 times. i must have reviewed this hotel for 5 times and always gave them a positive rating since this one of the few hotels that carry Fox News. My usual stays are usually 2 weeks long in this hotel. I usually like to go Island hopping for a couple of days away, and the hotel lets me store my luggage until I return to the hotel. My latest stay the hotel staff told me the new policy will charge me 500 pesos per day if I stored my luggage there, which I DON'T THINK IS RIGHT . Since when I return I would be staying at this same hotel.

The place was nice, probably in 2005, but now it's rundown, hasn't been attended to in a very long time. All the joints in the bathroom are moldy, carpet is old, AC stunk the Room the first 6 hours, there's no showerhead, it's just a pipe sticking out the wall, I've had 5 different type of bugs, wifi is no good, no hand towel, no soundproofing it feels like your sleeping with the motorbikes. It's not good, keep looking, I'm sure the area has better to offer

I've been using this hotel since 2017 and have stayed numerous times and each time have enjoyed my stay and the staff there. Always so friendly and courteous at the front desk and all of the other stuff is always looking to help you. I love starting my day in the restaurant with the fruit platter.

Pretty nice hotel but needs some maintenance. Internet quality is poor, tv barely works, water pressure was low, lukewarm shower, sink faucet falling off, toilet flush kept getting stuck, safe batteries dead... some attention to detail needed. Also, staff refused to provide extra towels for the tiny pool. But, generally nice for the price and could be a gem with a little effort.

It’s not so quiet actually. It’s located on a very busy street so there’s constant street noise of honking. The housekeeping staff communicate by walkie talkie which they keep at an unreasonable high volume. You can hear the entire staff conversations from up and down the hallways. This goes on for HOURS everyday. It’s extremely difficult to take a nap here.

There were no batteries in my room safe, so I locked everything in my luggage. I then requested room service. The housekeeper did NOT put batteries into the safe even though it was left open with the empty battery compartment easily seen. She also didn’t clean the coffee cups or replace the coffee packets/creamers/sugar.
They don’t really care about their reviews.

There was a problem for 3 days with another guest smoking in their room. The stench was annoying and I was developing a sinus & ear infection. When I repeatedly complained, they offered to provide air freshener. That is not effective in cleaning the air. They offered to put me in a different room, which was also unacceptable because I was on the 7th floor and didn’t want to be moved closer to the street noises on a lower level. It’s hard enough to sleep as it is. Basically they don’t enforce the no smoking rule and don’t care if other guests are annoyed by the smokers or their noisy communication with ridiculously loud walkie talkies.

Great location, nice people, good food. Laundry shop and convenience store are nearby. 9th floor bar has a great view along with drinks and food. The whole hotel suffers from delayed maintenance, but if you can look past that this is the place to stay in Cebu.

The Hotel is overpriced and in need of modernising. Staff were ok, but some requests were ignored before arrival so we incurred additional costs for something we requested earlier on. Internet was not great and could only be assessed from the bathroom. Toilet seat was also broken until we requested a repair, and the room had a bad smell. You should only show the real up to date photos of rooms booked and not the best room in the hotel when it first opened, this is very misleading and extremely disappointing.

Extremely immature staff. Little girls run this place and are rude to foreigners. I prepaid 9,800 peso for 3 nights in advance. My girlfriend who was scheduled to check in one night before my arrival was killed in a car accident 2 nights prior but I was unaware to my last flight from USA. This staff was less then accommodating despite the circumstances and when i finally arrived, they didn't seem the least bit sensitive of my situation. I elected to leave after only one night stay given my state of mind. Apon ddeparture, they practically refused to give me writen confirmation to submit to the third-party booking company due to the fact that would be cut out. To add insult to injury, they hit me with a 55 peso invoice for a pineapple juice. I was done at that point. Very unsatisfied, and that was my first impression of service in the Philippines.

Very clean room, bathroom was tiled on floor and in shower. Breakfast was very good and very good price. A dipping pool, bar and spa are located on the top floor.
Only negative would be there was no microwave in the room and the in room coffee was bad. Most hotels have bad in room coffee so I'm not complaining too much. Great centralized location to the city of Cebu. Security at the front door we're very accommodating and professional. I would definitely stay there again.

An Alright Stay

My first room was facing the main road which was noisy, but they quickly changed me to a room facing the opposite direction which was quiter.

The only thing was the room was next to the hosekeeping store room where they decided to congregate and have a conversation loud enough to wake me up multiple times in the morning.

The gym was small but fine, the pool was tiny and did not bother to jump in but looked refreshing.

It was my first time to stay at Castle Peak; I had to look for a hotel that is close to Ayala Center, and the location was just fine with me. Though I had a trouble with my reservations as I have been informed by the concierge that their records show that I don't have any reservation, until I showed them my online reservation. Eventually my file was found. I had a good rest at my room which was just fine for my taste: clean linen, the usual complimentary bottled water, teas in sachet. However, I had a difficulty connecting with the internet.
