We are repeat guests of Alpa City. We booked this hotel during Sinulog. We were allowed to check in a couple of hours early. The rooms are large and clean. They have microwave, refrigerator and utensils. Staff is friendly and accommodating. During Sinulog it is difficult to get transportation to and from the hotel.

I've stayed here a few times before and didn't have any issues with cleanliness but this last time wasn't all that great. There were 5 or 6 bugs, that I could see, in the room the last night I stayed. I'll say they got in while cleaning services came around but I was not happy to see the bugs. Everything else was fine, check-in and check-out, ac was cold as always, and staff is always very nice.

First, the staff is excellent and management truly care about the customer. I have been all over the world and this is first hotel I've visited that has captured my admiration. The food was great and varied day by day. It went from American dishes to Exotic dishes and they will cook your eggs anyway you want them (fresh). In the customer satisfaction department, every employee was extremely receptive to suggestions as improving the quality of service was their top priority. What I loved the most about Alpa is that they have a baby grand piano which is positioned in the lobby and its sounds wonderful. My room was on the 7th floor and it was nearly perfect! The room was clean, and room service was on point. Furthermore, while inside the room; we could not hear any road noise, music, or other guests. I read a lot of the reviews and I am glad Alpa Suites was my choice. If you want to have a nice stay which is centrally located in an ideal area, with staff and management that will cater to your needs, then look no further.

When we arrived at 2 pm to check-in, at first the Receptionist said the room would be ready in a few minutes, after about 5 minutes then she said it would be another 15 - 20 minutes, the truth was that the room was not yet cleaned or ready for occupancy. What is the point of having a Reservation if they do not get organized enough to make certain that your room can be occupied when you arrive.
On a positive note, the room was well appointed, very comfortable and spacious, the breakfast buffet is very good, for a 3 star Hotel the buffet is exceptional.

Pros: bed has a mattress cover; decent buffet breakfast; spacious room

Negs: dim lights; no sound proofing like carpet anywhere throughout hotel therefore very audible; eventhough on 7th floor, can hear dogs barking and traffic noise throughout the night; soap is a joke, about the size of a half a pack of gum. Why even bother providing such skimpy toileteries?

Very good. I would recommend to anyone. Room is clean and comfortable. Safe, refrigerator, TV, electric kettle. Staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Location is not in center of Cebu City. It's in Mandaue, which is closer to the airport and the port, I believe.

They failed to pick me up at airport. I called both hotels.com and the hotel directly to schedule airport shuttle, which is listed as an amenity. Not only did they not show up at the airport, they acted like they didnt know anything about it. Disappointing....the rest of the stay was just ok.

I chose this hotel since it was near the Ayala area and the SM area so you can easily move to and fro without worrying about traffic too much.

The place was clean and spacious. Amenities and facilities were standard, but they were more than sufficient. Room has its own fridge, microwave oven, utensils, kitchen sink, and kettle. Very practical if you want to save money and eat in.

Room for improvement would be the smell of the lobby. Since the restaurant is directly in the lobby, the smell of food would stick to you in no time.

The hotel also serves a decent breakfast. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

Would definitely recommend for a comfortable stay without breaking the bank.

Alpha City Suites is ok!!

The hotel is fine. The staff is great!! There is a major mall that is a $3 taxi ride away. Two blocks into town on the right side is a great local restaurant... if you take a walk and look for the strip mall about 2 blocks away and look for the open air second floor eatery you will really get a treat!! My only issue with this hotel is that the restaurant is not very good. Breakfast is good. Stick to the local specialties... the Lechon Kawali is excellent, Fettuccine Carbon is good. Chop Suey is good.... but forget about ordering a burger, club sandwich, caesar salad, or pizza. Also, I suggest being very specific about what you expect. One night I ordered room service of the Fettuccine Carbon and it came with some odd red sauce.... so after that I made them tell me what it was... hahaahh. I really have to say that the staff is really good. The just need a decent chef in the kitchen... and I think it depends on who is on staff at the time.

This is my first time staying at this hotel in Cebu. I go to Cebu every 6 months and I find this hotel to be ok. It's a 3 star hotel with a great room, great bed, ok bathroom. I found their mini kitchen with sink and the large fridge very nice. The Wifi sucked on my Kindle because it asked for a LAN password. Wifi was ok for the phone. Looking out my window, I could see a regular neighborhood below and Cebu skyline. I really, really enjoyed their breakfast buffet in the morning-the food was awesome-and they had an omelet bar. I kept going back for more food. The staff was kind and friendly. All in all it was a nice hotel, but the location wasn't great. You have to walk out for outside food with a good seafood restaurant a couple of blocks down, a Jolibee restaurant a 100 yards away, a massage parlor a block down, and no major mall anywhere near. If you are budget conscious, this is a good place to stay. But it is away from the business district, far from any mall, and any important location. You have to catch a taxi and it will cost you about $4 or more depending on traffic, to go say Ayala mall, then you have to fight traffic coming back. Cebu traffic is getting horrendous like Manila. The problem on almost all roads here is there is only one lane, back and forth, and no freeway system.

An excellent hotel, with friendly staff - excellent wifi - good resteraunt with a large breakfast available - everything almost new. 25 mins to airport at 9.30am, but watch the Taxis. The fare should be metered and is 180 pesos as of this date. My taxi was ready outside the hotel so knowing the fare I asked him what was the cost - he said 350 pesos - standard charge. He then covered the meter with a cloth. I then took his full details and asked him who decided on the \"standard charge\" he said \"he did\" because he was the driver. I then pointed out the notice on his window that he was a metered cab and it was officially sealed. He then took away the cloth and let the meter run. This has nothing to do with the hotel but pity to start the morning with a fight. Get the porter to agree the fare at the hotel first before U leave. I am giving his details to the Hotel.

Booked a Royal Suite for 25 nights including round trip air fare for ~$2300 USD. The staff is exceptionally warm and friendly.

The room included daily breakfast buffet for 2. The buffet offered two types of rice, pancake or French Toast, fresh fruit, fresh salad, and a choice of 4 different hot dishes.

The room itself was fairly spacious with tub/shower, large refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink. Large wall mount TV with cable channels and king size bed. The AC unit was exceptional as well keeping the room very cool.

In addition, the hotel is close to Ayala mall (65php fare) and SM Mall (85php fare). Even with the hotel on a fairly busy street only the front of the hotel is exposed to the street noise. From 3 doors away from the front of the hotel the noise was negligible or non existent.

Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Alpa City Suites staff!

Nice Hotel in the Cebu/Mandaue area

This hotel worked out great for me and my guest. We loved the Philippine food selection on the buffet breakfast each morning. I asked the hotel management for special arrangements to be made prior to my arrival and everything was done perfectly. The staff is great. The bed, pillows, TV, Shower, refrigerator and microwave were great. I had no complaints. There were some little bitty ants in the room but to be honest I think they are everywhere in the Philippines and caused me no problems. My guest and I loved the hotel and have already rebooked it for a stay in May. So to make a long story short if you are coming to the Philippines and you don't like this hotel you need to go back home.

They provided karaoke projector and screen disco lights 100 helium balloons without name and age, 5 course buffet. The location is terrible, nothing is walking distance, you do have to take a taxi everywhere and the hotel has stopped their shuttle service. For the price, this is good value. It's nicely presented and the staff are attentive and helpful. The free breakfast is quite good, again given the room rate, it's a good place to stay if you need to be in the Mandaue area. My only real gripe was the very noisy aircon. Which is positioned right at the side of the bed. Apart from that, all was ok.

Value for money every time. We visit the Alpa Suites frequently whenever I am in the Philippines. I think this hotel is quite hard to beat if you are on a budget.
Good polite and smiling staff. Spacious clean rooms and big beds. Good breakfast buffet and a very good Omelet Station.
The only thing we didn't like is that the hotel has amended its policies with giving away complimentary toothbrushes etc. It makes the guest feel awkward in asking, and would probably delay checkout for billing of such items. That could easily spoil guest experience.
We like this hotel and we will return there again soon.
I rate this hotel as a 4.7 out of 5.

my stay was just an overnighter prior to flying out of Cebu to Manila. everything was fine. we had supper in their restaurant and the food was ok. I ordered a pizza and it came to the table cold. a waitress cheerfully nuked it for me. our water glass was constantly refilled.
the room was comfortable and clean. the only negative was the huge cockroach that I killed.

Alpa City Suites is close to Ayala Mall by cab in about 10-15mins, as traffic has always seem to be heavy in the area. The food was not 4 star on its taste. They have poor choices on their food, as well. I have traveled with my mother and she did not like the food that much, just like what I also thought. The room is pleasantly clean and this is something that we were comfortable with. The staff were nice and was very helpful.

My Stay at Alpa City Suites

My recent stay at Alpa City Suites was very pleasant. Rooms were clean, Air- Con was cold. Breakfast was not too bad but still have room for improvement, service staffs were friendly not hesitating to greet you whenever & wherever they see you. Getting a taxi at the front of the Hotel is easy, the friendly Bell Hop & the Security Guards will be ever obliging to flag down a taxi for you. Only disadvantage is that the Hotel's Wifi signal doesn't seems to be available at all. Overall, it's still a good place to stay & I will definitely stay there again during my next visit. Last but not least, this hotel has smoking rooms available & not easy to find elsewhere..

The Hotel was extremely welcoming, the rooms were very clean and the staff were very polite and always greeted you with a good morning or good evening. The food was good and plentiful - The staff on the main reception desk were always willing to help with any difficulties you may have had and sorted them out with the minimum of fuss. pleaseant stay. room service needs some room for improvement though. ordered our food and it took almost an hour to get it and staff doesnt seem to know how to communicate what went wrong. other than that, made our weekend great!

Clean and had great service by the staff

Was a nice place for an extended stay. Hotel staff was helpful and professional. Rooms were clean and well kept. The only issue was, when the key card was pulled the power to the room was turned off. This is normal for hotels in the area. This made it hard to keep refrigerated items cold when we were not in the room.

The Room is Amazing The Only Prob is the Socket Behind the bed.. But Just Ask For and Extension And Everything Will Be Alright.. I had An Amazing stay at this HOTEL. and the Staff Are So Nice.. I Will Come Back Here..

Very pleasant surprise!

I was very pleased with my stay at Alpa City Suites. I have stayed at all types of hotels all around the world and I have to admit this is one of my most favorite hotels to stay at.

Excellent staff who always makes an effort to go above and beyond.......always willing to please with always a smile on their faces. From the guards and doormen.......from the front desk and banquet staff to the housekeepers and maintenance........all excellent service.

This is a top notch hotel which has very comfortable rooms, very clean bathrooms with excellent hot water in the showers and a great breakfast buffet and room service. Food was always great and not once was I disappointed with it or any other thing in the hotel.

I stayed there 15 days and not once did I regret one minute there.............they showed my fiance and me the utmost respect at all times.

I love this hotel and will use it again on my next visit to Cebu.
