The breakfast menu has popular items and the way they cook it is awesome! I can't wait to see their new menus in the future, too! The pool area is really nice! They changed the swim deck to make it more \"family\" friendly. Its very pretty to look at! This is a really good hotel and I continue to come for years!

The only thing I wish they had now (but got rid of) is a \"baggage hold\" privilege for returning guests. They stopped because someone abused it.

The main issue for all 3 of us in 3 separate rooms is that we repeatedly lost electricity throughout the night waking up to a sweltering room. They did resolve immediately after we called the desk but I had to wonder how. It seemed that they had to be overriding a short circuit issue though in fairness I can’t say that was the problem. So I would not stay here again.

The holiday spa hotel is a good budget hotel. The hotel itself could use some minor upgrades. Our room was big and clean the breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. Having a gym and pool was great.its a short walk to IT park. If your on a budget and don't need a fancy hotel this place did us just fine.

This is a great place to stay it’s not the top end luxury but for 25 to 30 usd a night it gives a lot, close to IT park just a few minutes walk and a pool and good place to work out rooms are clean and good but like I said not luxury just good, stay here and I don’t think you will be disappointed

Probably the worst room I have stayed in, hope I get to post pictures.

The free parking is in a muddy area off the street, surrounded by beer bottles. There is a guard there all night.

The lobby was dated, worn but clean.

At check in they couldn’t find my reservation. I showed her it was on Expedia. She asked me to have a seat while she looked. While sitting there another person came up, she checked them in and then went back looking for mine. She came over and asked who I booked through even though I had showed her.

Finally I get to my room. Every wall had significant stains and somehow even the ceiling. The shower and bathroom had black mold and the fixtures hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Then the real horror. I always check the AC filters. The air was weak and not teal cold. The filter was the wrong size and had caked dust. But worst the AC grill behind the filter was covered in black and even blue mold. After cleaning the filter the air flow improved some but just helped spread the mold.

The only good was the sheets and towels where clean.

It does have a restaurant, pool and attached fee gym, none I used. Near Cebu IT park so food and mall near by.

I told the front desk and showed pictures of the poor state of the room. I got the half smile, with sorry for your experience and will tell management. She said they were renovating one room at a time.

Obviously management doesn’t care or they would stick a bio hazard sticker on the door snd not rent it.

The pool & the gym is a good addition to this hotel to enjoy. I do not like that the hotel is hard to find. A few drivers does not know where it is as the entrance is kind of hidden from the busy roadway. The floor needing some fixing of broken tiles in the hallway toward the hotel room but the staffs are friendly and hotel is clean. Even the security guards are friendly. The guards calls a taxi for you to insure that you are safe as they write the plate numbers before you leave.

First room air-conditioner didn't work at all. Second room aircon barely worked...it took several hours to cool down. TV channels didn't work...audio but no video. Door wouldn't lock. When I was in the room the chain worked but when I left the room briefly I couldn't lock the door leaving my valuables inside unprotected. Wifi did work.

Great Hotel but the day I was there no WIFI was available in the room. Had use WIFI in the lobby which is very noisy from the GYM inside. The noise is mainly from the GYM members which really should not be hanging around the lobby!

This hotel is just as advertised and very clean and quiet. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. Breakfast at the cafe is a great way to start the day before a taxi ride to work or shopping. Great dining is available a short walk away at Cafe George. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip!

The hotel was overall good. Big comfy bed, good worling a/c, good location. Down side was a nightclub next to the hotel tgat had music you could hear in the rooms and hallway till late night. The pool is nice but its usually filled with gym guests swimming laps so it was hard to enjoy. They have a hotel policy of if you leave you are supposed to leave the room key with the front desk. After i did that 3 times and not once got asked for any identification for getting my room key i stopped.

I'm not real hard to please and I am willing to stay in a lower level hotel as long as its comfortable and safe. The Holiday Spa actually turned out to be even better than I expected. The lobby is a good start with a gym, outdoor pool, spa , salon and cafe. The staff was polite and the room very spacious. My only draw backs were that the mattress was extremely firm and I prefer a softer one and that there is not much around without going about 1/2 mile to a mall or store. Not too far, but nothing in proximity. Still, I would stay again if I go to Cebu.

Hotel is in area where you have to drive a distance for everything you want to do. They charge you for everything and very expensive to what other locals charge for same or better. If cant find a hotel to book this one will be fine but reccomend get something in lapu lapu area

Kind staff, clean rooms huge swimming pool fitness Gym facilities sauna you name it.. they got it!!
Greta value breakfast too.
Only down side Stay away from the restaurant for dinner. much to expensive , to small portions and terrible quality. `Buffalo wings are 6 !! pieces of only WING TIPS!! size of a sparrow.. no meat only bones. rice is the cheapest of the cheapest qulity. The restaurant does do no good to the high appreciation I have for 6 or more years now !

Great Quiet Hotel

The trouble with Cebu is the traffic. You can't get anywhere quickly e.g. when doing a route planner to IT Park, it is 15 minute drive or 10 minute walk.
Holiday Spa Hotel is off the main drag and fairly quiet. The staff are numerous and helpful, always cleaning the floors or doing something productive.
The pool is a good size.

40 minutes to check in i showed them my confirmation but they had to call somebody they called me back and i had to pay for it i had already paid for it call me back after i eat breakfast and said i had to pay but it was included put me in the wrong room how to change 5 times i had to walk back to the front desk many times. What the worst thing that happened two people were very unhappy and i kind of threw the money on the counter so one of the people from the gym . You can't do that so they left and then about 12 employees i'll come out of gym and a security guard and the rest of staff gather around laughing how they were going to beat those two people up i work to the hotel management for quite a few years i would have fired everyone it was so unprofessional i just can't leave this hotel was that poor i paid a lot of money for. The pool had only one lane for the guest so you couldn't really swim. Probably the worst hotel i stayed in for a long time. Bad hotel rude people not very efficient there is more for me but i will stop here usually i give everybody to benefit of the doubt., this hotel is not a good one

Excellent value for money, with the only negative being the adjoining restaurant. My girlfriend got a small lump of glass in her food, I even heard the crunch of teeth on glass. On another occasion I got a sore stomach from the food and I met another guest that suffered the same.

Air condition broke , had to ask staff to have some one look at it twice. Must have been shift change. 3 of 4 of us got sick from something in the restaurant. Half our stay was bed ridden.
Pool is blocked off for lane swimming. Can't really use it unless swimming laps, no family pool days.
Entrance is down an alley, pictures on websites are deceiving. No shopping in the area but there are several restaurants around the corner but on a busy narrow street with no sidewalk.

If you pool and gym at reasonable price - it is good. Building exterior starting to age. Access to town - taxi in Cebu traffic can be time consuming. Staff excellent. Food in site - good. Internet available in public area for Pesos $50 per hour.If you have a mobile, pick-up the free chip at airport. Then add to the data (called 'load'). There are two providers and each need a separate chip (that is if a person is on one supplier you need data and their chip on your cell; if another person is on the other supplier - you need a separate chip and data for that supplier. The telephone in the rooms do not permit you to ring cellphones. Just also note your travel time could double between peak traffic times (7am-10am; 3pm-7pm/. Similarly the queues for taxis (especially at the airport) can be very long between 4pm and 7pm.

Paid for a king size bed. They put 2 twins together and called it a king.Switched rooms. Air conditioners didn't work good in either rooms. Had to ask for a fan just to not sweat in the room. Found a small water bug aka brown roach in bathroom. No refrigerator or microwave in rooms.The pool was nice though. The breakfast was half decent.

It was a decent choice for a moderately priced hotel with a pool. Food was decent but the menu rarely had more then a few choices because they were regularly out of most items. Make sure you carry a lot of smaller bills because they were often unable to break or give you change for bigger bills. The location is not near any main areas so you have to cabs everywhere. That's another reason to carry smaller bills

Did not go swimming because it was crowded with kids I guess the had a swimming lessons and other staff I would not go back there .....the only thing I enjoy the massage!

Cons:I had to choose between the noise of the a/c and the loud music form the bar next door. No refrigerator in the room. The gym is charged per access: 150php. Extra towel is charged. Security officers keep a visitor's identification card during the visit. No pizza delivery allowed to the room.

The hotel was ok for the money. The restaurant was ok but service was very slow and they often were out of change when you went to pay. The food was ok but the portions were small and you would not get the same thing twice in a row when you would order the same meal,. They were often out of selections also. I recommend you get the room overlooking the pool because the backside is on the side of a neighboring nite club

First - a couple of security and bellhops watched us lug our bags up the stairs and struggle through the doors without any help or communication, making the first interaction awkward. The front desk wasn't much better as they struggled to find our reservation (even with our booking #). They are very strict on not checking in before 2pm - and also make sure you have cash because they require a key deposit in cash. The rooms are very dated and the wifi slow. The shower water smelt like sewage although it was warm. They offer massages, but they are always booked and nothing is available - we tried on several occasions. The highlight was the restaurant - the food was good and the service was great.

Good but one thing should be changed into...

Overall, it's good . Only 1 thing I was very uncomfortable about smoking allowance at /by the pool area. Hopefully it could be turned into NON-SMOKING area.
Even rural resorts I've been to in cebu island were NON-SMOKING at their whole resort.

I stayed two nights at the hotel. For the price I paid - really affordable, it was ok. The bed was good and I enjoyed the pool. A few things the hotel can improve on: the breakfast was not good. The toast was very very dry - killed to the bone and just not enough food on the plate. Then the people working at the front door are too loud. The aircon was good but very loud. The open air disco two premises away was very loud and till 3am in the morning. Over all not a very good stay. The room was clean and all the people very friendly.

We tried to walk and check if we can shop around this Hotel area but no luck about 3km
to nearest mall and you have to take a taxi for you can't walk due to no sidewalk and chances of you getting hit or run over by vehicles running non stop are great.
Please check the vicinity of any hotel that you are thinking of booking sometimes photos they sent to Expedia are deceiving sometimes the saying \"You get what you pay for\" is really true.

I was so excited to stay in this hotel, but I was a bit disappointed. We arrived in the evening and there weren't many good places within walking distance, and the restaurant had stopped cooking. The king sized bed was luxurious and the pool was massive, but we didn't spend much time around it because the ambience wasn't overly welcoming. This would be a great place for a family or gym rat to spend a night, but as a young couple it's not my first choice.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel inspite of some porblems. I arrived to the hotel at 12 noon, I had to wait until 2pm to be checked in, the lobby made up for the inconvenience, it was spacious and comfortable. When I arrived to my room there is a horrible humid smell, I complained and they wanted to transfer me to the next room but the smell was the same, so I stayed and got accustomed to the smell, dampness and humidity can be noted on the ceiling and walls. The room was of good size, clean, nice flat TV with many channels. The shower was good too and clean, good space. There was no fridge, if they provided small fridge they would charge 200 pesos per night, there was no safe box, I put my things at the reception desk, at first there was no kettle then upon request it was provided free, no coffee or tea or sugar. Food at their restaurant was expensive for the cost, and quality could be improved. Some restaurant cafe was within walking distance, a select shopping place was nearby too but charged expensive for all items, walking was not easy due to narrow pavement and muddy road. There was a nice swimming pool and I enjoyed swimming and relaxing there when it was not raining, a nice green garden was next to the pool. The hotel is attached to a professiona gym, there was a sauna that was not free.
On the whole I enjoyed staying there, I would recommend it to my friends who want quiet place with a nice pool. The hotel as to improve on the humidity smell in the rooms.

Everything was great spa ,gym and pool , also world class massage ,, only thing I did not like was phone conversations , from front desk ,, very hard to understand as they have heavy accent, phillipino , much easier to understand in person, food was also good from cafe,, room was clean , and no roaches , I give the hotel a,,,,,,,,an A for great service .

Not splendid but good enough

We chose this hotel since their premier Room is good for 3 person since we were looking for it.
Also the location is close to tinder box and cross road(small business complex, restaurant, massage).

Good stay for the price

The staff were friendly the place feels tired and needs a facelift. Also the gym needs better air conditioning

disappointing hotel

hotel staff were ok. the hotel needs upgrading to almost everything. i find the price is a little more expensive to what you get from this hotel.
