The room had ants crawling on the beds, spider nests, dead flies. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and underneath was rubbish and another guests script cream. Cutlery had not been cleaned since the previous guests. The air conditioning barely worked. Dust build up was extremely thick and when informing staff of the cleanliness of the room and the smell, there was no care given. Will never stay there again!

Room was out dated but clean but what I could not tolerate was the stench of smoke in that room. Previous guests must have smoked. The sand ash tray outside the room facing the courtyard was littered with old cigarette butts. I guess being so close to the room the smoke would filter inside. No screens on any doors so we could not air the room. Guess we were unlucky with room 7. Strongly suggest they should have a designated smoking area well away from the rooms or make the motel non smoking. Had a meal at the restaurant and was very good but we did wait a long time for 2 mains.

Door to motel was filthy and should be replaced with a safer option. Inside was dirty. Bed was ok for an overnighter but very small. Trucks parked right outside the room which was a lovely wake up whenever the truckdrivers felt like leaving. Noisy truck brakes. Walls paper thin. Hearing the oerson next door telling his other half goodnight darling about fifty times! Wouldnt reccomend unless you're desperate.

Great stay on our travels. The ability to do late check-in and park directly in front of your door is a bonus. It makes for an easy arrival and departure when passing through.
The rooms are very spacious and beds are comfortable. It has all the amenities we needed for our quick stopover.
We will definitely visit again.

The service was great for a late arrival.

The Rooms are old and I guess the fly spray inside was there for a reason. And thank goodness it was supplied by the motel, thank you.

I have to spray the room and the carpet to exterminate some biting insects and non biting insects. I think the room had a few midges as my keen and leg itched.
I suggest front and back full perimeter door seals be installed. Otherwise the bed was comfortable.

Poor quality remodel , motel still needs improving

We arrived at 21:30. If I had been a female travelling alone, I would have wasted the $100 and driven on to another hotel. The outside of the units was dark and creepy. The door was flimsy. The “remodel” was cheaply done with tiling layer over existing layer actually preventing some valves from turning in bathrooms. The sheets and towels were clean but the window sills were filthy and full of bird droppings. There were dead insects on crown moldings. The doors were scuffed and dirty. I think the artwork made everything way worse and should be taken off the walls. Did not sample the food. I feel bad because the people at the front desk were actually very nice but the room rate is not worth US$100.

We really appreciated having space for our family. The layout - a queen and single in one room, and two singles in the other, worked well for our small children. Even though it was motel style, there was room for a table and chairs for dinner, and space for the kids to play. Parking outside the room was perfect. A good location, with Heatherbrae Pies across the road an easy breakfast spot.

Property is well laid out and well maintained.
Our issue is with the Restaurant. The food is very average at best. The poor lady, Bell, is required to look after drinks, meal orders, serving meals, cleaning up the tables. This is too much for 1 person and we had to wait in a que while she had to go about other duties before we could order meals and drinks.
Unstarstaffed. Also $12 for a continental breakfast made up of toast and cereal was way too much.

We have driven to Brisbane a number of times and never knew this place existed! Very affordable, large spacious rooms and, while some of the rooms are dated, the location and amenities are excellent for those using it as a stopover to Brisbane. Staff are lovely, very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. There is a pool, which we didn’t use, and the gardens and grounds are nice. We will be staying there again.

A great stop for us between Melbourne and Gold Coast. Staff were lovely, the grounds were very nice (albeit dry). We went into Raymond Terrace for dinner, easy to get back onto our journey. Highly recommend.

Alright for a stopover

I stayed here just as a stopover on the way down to Sydney. It’s a bit tired. I assume they’re going to either fix it up after the bypass or do something with it. It was a bit uncomfortable being in the toilet and kind of being exposed, the actual place was alright, but again everything looks like it could do with a bit of a clean and TLC. I will say it was definitely quiet and you couldn’t hear any of the traffic from the road.

The carpet upon walking in was vile. Stains everywhere. There was hair everywhere in the shower, on the toilet, and on the bathroom floor outside the shower. And not hair from someones head - yuck!

We actually chose not to shower for the night because we decided we would be cleaner not using it. My 8yo chose to not sleep under the covers in bed after seeing the state of the place as he was concerned it would be dirty underneath. And he's only 8.

Very weird smell around outside the place. It even leached into my car.
