This is a beautiful property and overall the location is quiet and safe. Be aware that you are far away from any amenities and you will require a rental car or a taxi (only 2 in town) to get in and out of this property. No fidges in rooms so bringing your own food is not an option also a refresh of my room did not happen over a 3 day period so you may need to ask for a refresh ...not sure.

This hotel, left the key on reception, there where no staff to greet or show us to our room. The buffet breakfat was appalling with the tables left uncleared and no staff in effidence to serve guests.
The hotel also inposes a surcharge for guests using credit cards to pay their bill. How do you pay if not by CC and then you have to pay for the priviledge.

Først det positive. Pæne rene værelser og et hotel i pæn stand. Stilen er noget kitchet. Dette hotel er uden personale i weekenden, man skal klare sig selv. I receptionen lå en kuvert, hvori der på en seddel oplyses at der er morgenmad i weekenden fra 7.30. Vi var nede 7.30 og der var totalt dødt - ingen morgenmad. Dette hotel kan dårligt være 4 stjernet med den manglende service.

Fantastisk ophold, flot værelse med udsigt over den store have bag hotellet. Vi havde valgt med terrasse, ærgerligt at vejret var regn så vi ikke kunne komme lidt ud. Men det ødelagde ikke oplevelsen. Fantastisk aftensmad med tjener som havde stort indblik i det vi skulle spise. En lækker morgenbuffet med alt hvad vi kunne ønske os.

En hverdag. En onsdag aften/nat. Et lillebitte værelse (ja, faktisk næsten uden vinduer) på et stort iøjnefaldende hotel i en skov i Hobro. Man skulle tro at det ville være opskriften på en stille og rolig oplevelse. Men, nej. Det blev et regulært mareridt!
Det var ikke en nødvending overnatning på Hotel Amerika. Vi kunne bare have kørt de 65km hjem, men vi bookede en overnatning på Hotel Amerika for at nyde et ophold, på hvad der lignede et særpræget hotel med elegant fremtoning. Hvilken eklatant fejltagelse det endte med at blive!
Det store hotel havde budt os velkommen ved at indlogere os på værelse 300. En underlig værelseskonstruktion midt imellem etager. Og placeret… lige ved trappeopgangen fra reception/lobby og baren. Allerede her burde alarmklokkerne nok have ringet! Hvordan man kan tillade sig at placere en børnefamilie i dette værelse er vi til stadighed dybt forundret over - i særdeleshed når vi tænker på de øvrige gæstfrie hoteller i nord- og midtjylland vi har besøgt!
Vi rejste to voksne med et barn på 2 år, og vi fik altså tildelt det her værelse nr. 300, som må siges at være den største skuffelse vi endnu har prøvet efter adskillige hotelophold i Danmark. Bookingen var af et ganske almindeligt standard-dobbelt værelse med dobbelt-seng! Det var naturligvis ikke de billeder der var angivet på websitet. Det var ikke en nødvending overnatning på Hotel Amerika. Vi kunne bare have kørt de 65km hjem, men vi bookede en overnatning på Hotel Amerika for at nyde et ophold, på hvad der lignede et særpræget hotel med elegant fremtoning. Hvilken eklatant fejltagelse det endte med at blive!
Det store hotel havde budt os velkommen ved at indlogere os på værelse 300. En underlig værelseskonstruktion midt imellem etager. Og placeret… lige ved trappeopgangen fra reception/lobby og baren. Allerede her burde alarmklokkerne nok have ringet! Hvordan man kan tillade sig at placere en børnefamilie i dette værelse er vi til stadighed dybt forundret over - i særdeleshed når vi tænker på de øvrige gæstfrie hoteller i nord- og midtjylland vi har besøgt!
Vi rejste to voksne med et barn på 2 år, og vi fik altså tildelt det her værelse nr. 300, som må siges at være den største skuffelse vi endnu har prøvet efter adskillige hotelophold i Danmark. Bookingen var af et ganske almindeligt standard-dobbelt værelse med dobbelt-seng! Det var naturligvis ikke de billeder der var angivet på websitet. Et ok hotel med en jævnt niveau. Til gengæld var mad oplevelsen under middel. Aften restauranten vil gerne være gourmet restaurant, men leverede ikke bedre end et godt cafeteria. Morgenmaden var en kageopsats med hvede og sukker. Meget skuffende morgenmad for en voksen mand. Vil jeg bor der igen? Ja, men fravælge morgenmad og tage en pizza med fra byen.

Hotel Amerika i Hobro ligger ganske bortgjemt inne i et boligområde, men er vel verdt den litt kronglete adkomsten. Hotellet er ganske nytt, og har overtatt bygg/lokaler etter en tidligere helseinstitusjon. Det har blitt et svært bra hotell, med gode fasiliteter på alle områder - alt krydret med vanlig dansk vennlighet og gjestfrihet.

Did not get what we expected and the rooms was dirty with a lot of dust and spider nets behind the bed it has not been cleaned in long time the rug was dirty and the hot tub was really disgusting and not cleaned with hair and dirt in it. Desværre var deres booking system fra Tekhotel nede men med nogen forvirring lykkedes det et af finde det rigtige værelse. Dejlig aftensmad men morgenmaden er gået en klasse ned her efter Corona tiden.

Midt I en coronatid kan det være svært at yde service, men man kan sagtens som receptionister lade som om man er glad og i godt humør og smile overfor gæsterne og ikke efterlade gæsten med følelsen om at man er til besvær ved udlevering af morgenmad og udtjekning.

El hotel y las habitaciones tienen una decoracion algo peculiar y Antigua, sin embargo es muy comodo y agradable. Las camas son muy comodas, y la comida del restaurant es excelente. El personal es muy agradable y amable. Se puede aparacar fácil, aunque si que es necesario un coche propio para poder desplazarte.
