They gave me all that I needed to make my stay smoothe and easy as I was there to attend my father’s funeral. My grandfather, Kenwyn Morris and my father, Glendon Morris copper artwork graces the entrance of the hotel as The owner, Mrs Chan’s father and my grandfather were friends and he commissioned my grandfather and Father’s work.
The Tua Village Restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is top notch Trinidadian cuisine that has the fusion flavors of the island.
The suites are spacious and so comfortable, clean spotless! The shower is everything. The pool is luxurious and I wanted to stay longer.
I will definitely be returning with my daughter.

Cozy hotel in safe location close to downtown yet far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle, and a short walk to the zoo, botanical garden, and Queen's Park. Friendly, professional, and helpful staff. Beautiful restaurant with superb menu, and its 8th-floor location has a wonderful panoramic view of the city, sea, and surrounding hills. Standard rooms are small but very clean and pleasantly decorated. I imagine the suites and balcony rooms are lovely. Be sure to reserve an upper-floor room to enjoy the view.

The best amenity was the complimentary breakfast. It was always a new menu everyday and filled with local foods and fruits. It was very good quality and very tasty. The room was also very spacious and clean. The location was great, walkable to a plaza and other outdoor activities. Staff was very kind and welcoming, especially the waitresses at breakfast and the cleaners. Parking was a bit limited if there is a conference happening but we always got a parking spot.

First principle for hospitality business: please your customers, not yourself. Why not gentle pan music, or guitar, piano? You are in Trinidad, set the right mood!

My stay at the Kapok was perfect. I was greeted with warmth by the staff, the room was equipped with all the necessary amenities including two bottles of water and my bed was comfortable. Parking was ideal and breakfast was delicious. The one thing I’d ask for is a better local rate and another stay. I’d certainly recommend this hotel and I’ll definitely be back.

I stayed twice in the course of 3 weeks at the Kapok hotel. Loved it so much we had to come back. It's a beautiful property with nice rooms and a great pool. Amazing restaurants. And the staff were so friendly - especially at the front desk and at breakfast.
The area is safe with tons of shopping and dining options. Very walkable and right near Queens Park Savannah and the Botanical Gardens. I will definitely be back.

This was our second time in 3 weeks staying at the Kapok hotel. You only come back for a second time if you really love a hotel.
So many good things to say. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The area was super walkable - with so many great shops, attractions and restaurants nearby. The staff were awesome - from the sweet people at the front desk to the wonderful breakfast staff. The hotel's two restaurants were so, so good. The pool and other amenities were amazing. Oh and I loved that I could do a massive load of laundry - wash and dry for TT$50.
And best of all - the price was very reasonable for all that we got.
Thank you to everyone at the Kapok hotel. We will be back for sure!

The Kapok hotel is located in a fantastic area of the city. It's very walkable and close to shops, restaurants, parks, embassies and other beautiful parts of the city.
The hotel lobby, pool and common areas are very clean and beautiful. The rooms are quite clean, spacious and the air conditioning is exceptional - keeping us very comfortable.
Hotel restaurants are delicious and the included breakfast is sincerely appreciated. And all of the staff are wonderful.

This is my third time staying at Kapok and one of the things I love the most is the breakfast and the ladies that work in the breakfast section... The rooms are fine and the beds are comfy. The Balcony is cool, I like to sit out there though it faces the street. It does seem like it's a bit of an older hotel, but it's fine.

Foodwise I did pay extra for a Christmas meal special it came with a salad which was really good, a risotto which was not good and a cheesecake /black cake dessert that was also not very good esp. for the price and the food there is usually so excellent. Any other meal I had was fine, breakfast, the grilled veggies and the chinese food I ordered on my last night.
