I stayed five days in January, enjoy a slower pace in the off season. The Brix is beautifully and centrally located. Bring binoculars for exotic bird watching. Five minutes walk to the Savannah and fairly walkable distance to art, entertainment, food and culture.

I must attend an event at the Queens Hall, across the street, next time! —I want to join the party.

I really enjoyed my stay… my only complaint is the view from room 205 was horrible!!
It was an alleyway filled with wires, dirt, and some type of unit!! I was going to complain when we first saw it but we were too tired!

This hotel has a lot going for it: very clean, seamless self-parking, and spacious, well-maintained rooms. However, a major flaw affected our entire week-long stay. We booked a package for two guests for seven nights, yet the \"complimentary breakfast\" was only provided for one person. Having to pay extra $30 USD daily for my partner's breakfast after such a substantial booking felt unreasonable and frankly, cheap. We've never experienced this before. The bones of a great hotel are here, but this policy makes it poor value for couples.

The people working there is pretty rude always have an attitude. The rooms do not come with a microwave. You have to go down to the lobby. Or call and request a microwave but they lied each day they would bring one.. There were major flying cockroaches next to the pool by the TV area. The coffee is less coffee and more sugar, and coffee flavoring.. the room smell damp with a mild mildew odor.. my room was next to the elevator so I had to continue to hear the elevator noise it make when it settles on your floor. Parking is refocus you have to plead with security that your staying with them for them to grant you access to park. Worst stay I will not return.

I really enjoyed my short stay at the hotel. The hotel is centrally located, so it was easy to walk to many of the city’s main attractions. The hotel staff were also friendly, efficient and very helpful. I honestly did not want to check out. I will make sure to stay there again if I am ever back in Trinidad.

At breakfast my dad took in sick and had to go back to the room. I asked the supervisor for a take away box to put some stuff for him because we were already paying extra for his breakfast. She said that food from buffet cannot be taken to room , she then offered some fruit and a pastry. I obliged, however a few minutes after , another gentleman had two bowls and a plate of food , I heard him telling them that he’s taking it back to his room and he was facilitated. Does Brix offer special rules for certain guests? Am I not in a certain income bracket to reap the rewards at your hotel?! Although the supervisor was kind and helpful , I was treated unfairly in comparison to this other customer. Do better!!!

The Brix is a great place to stay if you are looking to spend a lot of time in the center of Trinidad. The pool is clean and receives direct sunlight however there is no pool service, so you will have to buy drinks in the lobby and bring it to the pool (it's not a problem but something to keep in mind, if you like to be served by the pool)

Housekeeping is very diligent about cleaning and emptying trash everyday. The hotel staff are nice and greet you in every corridor. I hope to return to the Brix for Carnival 2026, since it is so close to where Carnival takes place.

The hotel food is great and they have an awesome rooftop for nights, you want to go out but do not feel like figuring out transportation (you definitely need a car or shuttle service to get around Trinidad).

Enjoyable stay, I stayed here as a Birthday/Mother's Day present for my mom. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very polite and professional young lady, Sudhaa. I shared with her the reason for my stay, and she was all in for the Birthday surprise shenanigans and helped me execute my plan flawlessly. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for a reasonable charge, serving a variety of Caribbean and continental dishes. I am glad there was a variety of local dishes, which is a plus, after all, I am in Trinidad. The only downside would be the hotel's location, should you decide to venture out it's a bit of a walk to shops and food, and the area does not have many other people walking in a group setting sure have at it. Other than the breakfast buffet, the food options are a bit pricey. I was also charged for a movie I did not watch, and I did not receive a refund when I questioned it. The hotel is well-maintained, and the sheets, towels, and bathroom were fresh and clean. Thank you, Sudhaa, for making my Mothers 81st birthday a special one.

Stunning boutique hotel in the heart of Trinidad's capital city. Walking distance to the savannah where you can go for a walk or run then buy local cuisine and snacks from food trucks. Don't forget the freshly cut coconuts to stay hydrated.
The buffet breakfast is very authentic and delicious and they switch up the menu each day.
The lunch, dinner and room service dishes were also amazing.
This hotel is ideally situated to be a short drive to Maracas beach, the ferry to Tobago, acclaimed restaurants and other attractions.
During Carnival this hotel would provide convenient and quick access to the parade while provide respite after the festivities.

The room itself consisted of a large king bed, functioning air conditioning, and a rainfall water shower with great water pressure. My only concerns or suggestions for improvement revolve around minor maintenance and upkeep issues, namely the missing tiles and grout in the pool, the functionality of the sliding doors in the wardrobe in the room, and the ongoing smell of mildew and or sewage in the hallway(possibly a room) of the 6th floor. Aside from that, the stay met or exceeded my expectations. It's also worth mentioning, that despite the smell, I did not see or experience anything out the norm. The hallways, like the room, were almost always clean and orderly.
