The pool was closed. I booked the stay for the pool and the views from the infinity pool. The staff was nice, but I was not happy overall. I booked a 2-night stay with Expedia. I canceled the first night. I never got a refund.

I got to give credit to the outstanding staff the bartenders Kyle, Nishri, and Gregory took good care of me during my stay. The young lady in housekeeping that serviced my room 1927 was exceptionally kind and courteous.

The front desk staff are the worst, they kept locking us out of the room, 3 times this happened, and I had to keep going back and forth to the front desk over and over and over, they were completely incompetent. They feel apparently that this is the greatest hotel in the world, what a joke they are ( the front desk ) all other hotel staff were great, its just the frost desk staff

Hotel is looking a bit more tired compared to previous times I've stayed. Hotel staff gives me mixed feelings as most staff members are friendly and welcoming... however, others not so much... Also, I was told parking could not be validated in the past so not sure if something changed or I was lied to previously, but the valet guys made me aware that was not the case on the last day of my stay (shoutout to them).

In general I would still recommend and most likely stay here in the future, but for the price there needs to be visible improvements...

Lastly, putting multiple holds on my credit card even after the initial hold at check-in is very strange and if you are going to do it let the guest know beforehand so they don't think someone stole their CC. Never had that happen to me anywhere else...

The staff were very polite and the area for the hotel is nice. Our room was very clean, bed was very comfortable, the only downside was the windows in the room was not clean on the outside so we could not get a good view, unfortunately had to check out early due to our flight schedule change, did not get to spent two nights only a few hours.

Very clean room with only two hairs in the bathtub which didnt belong to our party but otherwise great cleanliness. Friendly reception staff. Lost a lot of points for Gulf ocean view room with no view as the windows were fogged up due to severe and persistent condensation between the glass panes. Compensated with free breakfast for the inconvenience.

My stay at Hyatt Regency Trinidad in Port of Spain was disappointing. From the start, service and attentiveness were severely lacking, with the reception taking over 24 hours to provide the price and availability for an airport pick-up.

The restaurant was highly overpriced. On my first night, I ordered a miso soup, a few mediocre sushi pieces, and a local beer, totalling an astonishing 107 US dollars.

The business centre is very small, measuring only two square metres, with just two tiny desks and chairs. The swimming pool and gym also fall short of expectations for a hotel in this price range. Furthermore, the reception staff merely relay requests without addressing any of them, leaving all inquiries unanswered.

A few days later, I stayed at the Brix hotel. If you're in Port of Spain for work, I highly recommend this second option. While not perfect, it won't be as disappointing as the Hyatt.

Excellent service as usual at Hyatt. Food was high quality and a wide variety of things available.
Staff was service was excellent. Every staff member i interacted with was amazing.
Parking is always a problem though as the multi level carpark seems to have all spaces labeled as \"reserved\". There were some marked spaces for Hyatt but all taken.
Not a deal breaker though.

The from desk ladies, Allison from room service, the one lady from the coffee shop, the last at the spa on Friday and the guys from the bar were amazing. However, everyone else was not pleasant, at all. First night, it was a corporate/“leader” party. So, I asked the first visible workers what was going on and they claimed they didn’t know; I was able to stay though, but no one even bother to see who I was and if I was even allowed there. It was semi-fun for the most part, because the music was good; but no one was welcoming, especially as “leaders”. You say good morning/night, complete silence; just stares. The ice machine on my floor wasn’t working, so I went to another floor to get ice and seen one of the managers on the elevator. I explained to him that the ice machine wasn’t working and he let the elevator close in my face. I’m at the pool and was totally over looked. My floor a was had a very weird/funny smell and there was absolutely no ventilation in there; I came back home with sinus congestion. I wanted spa treatment, but it was “booked for the day”, even though the lady the day before was willing to assist me and it was completely empty. Overall, my whole experience was horrible; a complete waste of money; NEVER again!

The rooms were fine. What I did not like is how the hotel kept assigning us taxi drivers that were clearly over charged us for every ride. Once taxi driver charged us triple the ttd’s amount for a 45 minute ride. They Hotel host told us that they were not able to call an outside taxi service and advised us that we had to use their taxi’s at the hotel. Also, when I went to the hotels cafe area for their buffet breakfast they over charged me the amount that the front said that I would have to pay. I don’t have a problem with paying what I owe, but don’t try to get over on me, just because I’m from a different country.

Let me start by saying I stayed at The Brix hotel approximately 2 weeks before I gave Hyatt a try and I thought I would get the same experience or better plus the view of the water which is something I truly love. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I should’ve lowered my expectations.

I must say the food at Hyatt was amazing, I throughly enjoyed it, but I wish I could say the same for the rest. I had to check out early due to all the noise that resides and is promoted within this hotel.

From the renovations which may be warranted since the room I was given had an aged and underlying frowsy odor to it; to the children running back and forth which I could hear above my head from the upper room—which I called to complain about and front desk said they would send security to handle it and they did, thankfully; to the parties every night I was there from Thursday and drums early Saturday morning which was my last straw. I love a tassa drum but not to wake me up in the morning.

Though the pool area was lovely with the infinity edge-like pool overlooking the ocean, the couch by the kids area looked worn, and the harbor activities at both ends of the hotel taints the experience.

This is a party hotel not one for peace and relaxation. For the perception the name carries, I expected more but it left me feeling like I paid for a low class experience with a high price tag. Perception was not reality and the consideration was lacking. The Brix will be my choice moving forward.

There is an opportunity for improvement with the service we received on the patio. Janelle, our server, was unfortunately rude and unprofessional toward our group during dinner, which impacted our experience.
However, I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Lyndon. He was courteous, attentive, and ensured our VIP client felt well cared for throughout the evening. His professionalism truly stood out and made a meaningful difference.
I hope the restaurant can address the concerns raised while recognizing and supporting team members like Lyndon who deliver outstanding service.

The hotel is very nice but there is no where that you can walk to and arranging rides every day is expensive and sometimes hard to arrange.
They should have an excursion desk in the lobby so people can just book trips through them.

The room I stayed in was full of hair on the floor of the bathroom, by the bed and on the couches. There was also food stains on the couches and sesame seeds on the table. It was obvious that they didn’t clean the room. Later in the day I noticed that the slippers that should’ve been in the room were missing along with the additional robe since there was two of us. We had to call down to get toothpaste, I probably called the front desk over 10 times and also called housekeeping nobody answered. It was extremely frustrating and there’s nothing to do there besides staying in your room, go to the gym and if you want to go by the pool, but there’s no entertainment at the hotel.

Visiting the area for the first time and decided to stay with a brand that I know. Hyatt Regency didn't disappoint. Aesthetically pleasing from the moment we pulled up to the resort. Excellent customer service provided throughout. Indoor/outdoor dining is wonderful with delicious culinary faire. Lobby was welcoming. Infinity pool, crystal clear water, relaxing vibes throughout surrounding area. My room was clean and spacious with updated amenities. Prompt response/resolve to an expressed concern a plus! I will visit again and stay at the Hyatt Regency.
