It's of manly decor. The 2 women with me, were not impressed. It felt very clean in the room. The shorter, burnette maid was very helpful and charming. The reception guy, with long burnett hair, was minimally helpful but come crossed as being rude. I told him that the two woman with me and I were leaving and we needed some assistance in the room and we're leaving. He said that he will be there in 5 minutes. He was on the kitchen. He said, \"I will be there in 5 minutes\". We waited 20 minutes and left. On the way out I told him that we couldn't wait any longer. He stayed, \"I'm sorry, I'm human. I must eat\". What we requested, as patrons' would have only taken a couple of minutes. Seems as though he had a lack of desire to make guests comfortable. Every time I had a conversation with him, he had a chip in his shoulder. The other two receptionists were very, very helpful. The towels need to be replaced. The bed was comfortable. The entry way, on front, could use some upgrading. Put some charm into it. It was very convenient.

The person at the office when we arrived was so rude and gave us a really hard time because our flight was delayed and we arrived at 6:10pm Everyone else were super nice!! The room was not very cleaned, trash was left from previous guests underneath the sink. I even found a dirty sock next to the bed

Location was very convenient for public transport with good links to the Vatican and the main terminus. Some attractions were well within walking distance of 15 minutes which include the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Things to note are if your room is upstairs there is no lift. This wasn't an issue for our stay but worth a mention. There is a lovely little garden area at the back. Local convenient stores are within 5 minutes walk should you need snacks. Rooms were stocked with essentials including tea and making facilities. AC was working very nicely which was needed and csn be changed to your preference. WiFi was also strong and included in our stay. Receptionist was very knowledgeable about the area and places to visit, which weren't on the map. Overall a very pleasant stay and would come back again. Thank you for the hospitality 😀

This hotel is very close to restaurants, bars, hop on hop off bus, Spanish Stairs, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.
The hotel room is a nice size but there is no lotion or shampoo just soap. The walls are paper thin so you can hear other people in their rooms, beside and above.
Kevin in reception is very helpful and arranged our transfers for us.

Great location near the Metra. Easy to get to the major tourist sites and easy walk to restaurants. We liked the small outside patio for drinks and relaxing. Our room had a sauna which is fun but we didn’t use it. We would have preferred to have more clothes storage, so much of our clothes were put in the sauna room. On the downside, the housekeeper cleaned but took the towels and wash rags that we had brought. And left us with none. Also, the platform bed looks good, but is way too low for us. Overall, a nice, clean and convenient place, but with some minor issues.

We recently stayed at Excellence Suites in Rome and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and very well maintained throughout our stay. Our room was a great size, offering plenty of space to relax comfortably after long days of sightseeing around the city.

One of the best parts of staying here was the location. The hotel is conveniently close to many amenities including restaurants, cafés, shopping, and public transportation, making it very easy to explore Rome. Most major attractions were within walking distance or a short commute away.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, helping make our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Excellence Suites to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and conveniently located place to stay in Rome.

Great location, bath in room (not enough hot water to fill it in one go but managed it over 20mins or so), very clean. 6pm check-in limit was a bit stressful but staff managed it well. Birds are noisy in the morning but really I would say this was very good for the price. Room was very big.

Es un hotel básico de tres estrellas con buena ubicación para ir caminando a Plaza España, Fontana de Trevi y tomar el metro en Plaza Barberini. Tuvimos inconveniente con el aire acondicionado que no funcionaba, lo reportamos y lo arreglaron pero funciono por un rato y luego se descompuso de nuevo.
El hotel es una buena opción si no se busca nada lujoso que sea limpio y seguro.

This hotel is a hidden gem, when we arrived at the front door I was a little worried it’s very unassuming, but once we got inside the room was fantastic. Very clean very big , large bathroom and shower with large rain shower head. nice king size bed with very nice new bedding. Sauna in our room. Fridge, safe, very big. Nicely renovated everything was clean and very nice. Beautiful courtyard in the back if you want to relax outside and eat your breakfast. And the location is 10/10 right by the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps a bit farther to the Vatican and coliseum but we walked to those as well. Don’t hesitate to rent this place for your trip

Pros - location and has elevator! Clean and did the job for the 3 nights.

Cons - AC worked but would go into standby after what feels 30 minutes. I had to repeatedly use the “turbo” mode throughout the night because room would get stuffy and this is only spring time. Did not get great sleep because of this. I didnt open windows because of mosquitoes as i am prone to ++ bites and ++swelling

This hotel has staff there 9am to 6pm but were able to accommodate a late arrival through a clear whatsapp message. They were very accommodating in holding my backpack for 3 days at no charge while I traveled light to Napoli and Pompei. Much appreciated!! Great central location.

Avoid staying here. They call it a suite setup but their amenities date back. Their toilets are stripped and mouldy.
Cleaners do a good job at cleaning but they cant strip off and makeshift what needs renovating.
The reception didn’t help provide us an alternative, as the options that their are to choose from are all dated, in bad condition and mouldy toilets.
Avoid. They charge good price, but what you get is pretty awful.

Great location, mostly very quiet. Short walks to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Coliseum. Nothing special in terms of linens, towels, bed was really stiff…
Staff very helpful.
If you stay in the “attic” the room and bath are spacious but there are two additional flights of stairs as the lift doesn’t go all the way to the top floor and there is a flight of stairs within the “apt”.
We didn’t need the heat pump in early April, but you will have to make sure the skylight is closed by staff if you want to heat or cool the room.

Great spot and within walking distance to a lot of you understand the back roads in Rome. Very authentic. Couldn’t figure out how to get the tub to get hot, but otherwise great place. Expedia has breakfast included in the listing and that’s not true. Not the location’s fault, but don’t book this expecting breakfast. Staff very helpful. Very Roman feel to it.

Although I was initially off-put by the lack of a lobby and no obvious way to enter the property, it wound up being a good experience. I had a \"deluxe\" room which was spotlessly clean and had been recently renovated. The property is really 2 very old buildings which have been combined, so there is a mix of modern updating with some very old fixtures. etc. If you need front desk help 24/7, this is not for you since the front desk is only staffed from 9:00 to 6:00. The elevator is very small, but new and functional (on the outside of the building!). The location is the hotel's best feature--one block from the Metro and walkable just about anywhere within 30 minutes or less.

The room itself was decent. However, the clerk was useless! Our room was on the second floor and someone on the third floor was loudly banging for over an hour at one time!! And every morning at 5:30 am for the entire four day stay, the banging began and woke us up every morning! On the last night the banging started about 4:00 in the afternoon and continued for over an hour! When I went down to complain, the clerk just gave me a card and told me to call the number. I reached out to executive suites through Expedia because the number was no good on the card, when I did I got no response from them until the next day. And the response was they were sorry for the inconvenience!! DO NOT STAY HERE if you want rest and sleep!! TERRIBLE!!

It was wonderful. We were able to check in early which we really appreciated! The front desk helped with hotel transfers which made life a little less stressful on our long travel days. The location is amazing! A short walk to everything. The beds were comfortable and we slept great. It was quite too. The only thing was there was a sewage smell from our bathroom and if you left the bathroom door open the whole room smelled. The front desk offered to move us which we really appreciate because it was a weekend and no plumber could come. My husband ended up closing all the drains and that pretty much got rid of the smell. We didn’t move because we actually really liked the room and had already got settled. So it worked out! Overall, amazing place. We would for sure go back and would recommend!!!!

Lacks storage space as only a wardrobe in the room.
Rooms supposedly soundproof but unfortunately this wasn’t the case.
People in the apartment above us were very noisy from approx 6:30am every morning with feet stomping, chair scraping on the floor, water constantly running and children shouting.
WiFi hit & miss, to the point we didn’t have any for the best part of 2 days.
Also couldn’t receive mobile signal in the room either so made things difficult when we were looking for restaurants or routes etc

The cleanliness of the room was good. The reception closes at 6pm so if you arrive later than that to check in make sure to follow the instructions that are sent to a WHATSAPP as a text. The staff was friendly. The best part of this hotel was the location hands down; shops, bars, restaurants, and sites. Overall I would highly recommend it.

It was clean, a little daunting since I was picturing “American Hotel” but still very nice. The little tiny elevator was an experience and the fact it only went up to the 3rd floor was kind of rough. The room was so small, I’m happy it was only me and my husband. The people were very responsive on WhatsApp to any and all my questions the location was amazing lots of good eats just around the corner with waffles and omelette options for breakfast. The little balcony was awesome!! I loved standing out there in the mornings and taking it all in. The ac was a lifesaver!! All and all it was amazing!!! Clean room and clean towels everyday with main attractions within walking distance.

We arrived for our check in and were greeted by Kevin who provided excellent service and great suggestions. Room reserved was large, clean with a good sized bathroom. Additional amenities included coffee making appliance and a small fridge. Mattress on the queen sized bed was one of the best we have had on our many travels.
Accommodation is absolutely bang on, close to Metro in addition to walking distance to many sites such as Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps plus Piazza Del Poppalo. We loved the location.

The hotel was superb, the staff were superb, very accommodating and helpful, allowed us to leave our bags on checkout and check-in and the cleaners very thorough. We stayed in the room with the Sauna, the room was excellent and the sauna and shower excellent. The only issue we had (and this will depend on who else is staying in the hotel) but the walls and ceiling were very thin, and you can hear very clearly in the room the footsteps taken on the floor above as quite a noticeable this and so sleep was disturbed quite frequently. Still 5 stars as this is not the fault of the hotel, and we still had a superb time. The location is ideal too, a 10 minute walk from the Trevi fountain, and very easy to access all the major landmarks on foot. (We also recommend the \"Limone\" shop at the bottom of the street, the lemonade is to die for!)
