The property was unique due to it's location, in an old building that was likely a bank before. It made us feel safe and was close to all of the places in Rome we wanted to visit. There was a stop for the Hop On Hop Off tour we went on, which was nice. The staff was very helpful and having the breakfast and all day drink and snack options was ideal.

This property was wonderful! We had 2 rooms joined by our own private hallway. The beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. We loved the option of having breakfast available so close to our room. There are many dinner options just a quick walk away. We signed up for the jump on and off bus to tour the city and the stop was super close to the hotel. Best of all was the lovely and friendly concierge manager, Jeison. He is multi-lingual and great at communicating with us. He is so welcoming.

it was a little difficult to find: but all you had to do was ring the ‘Opera’ bell on the side of the big doors. The staff are absolutely lovely and speak english which was really helpful, they were so nice. The breakfast had a lot to offer, and the rooms were cleaned daily. It was lovely for me and my siblings! Would definitely come again.

Just returned from a long weekend to explore Rome with our 2 children.
Great position for seeing the sights.
The suite was very clean with everything you need towels, toiletries etc.
There was a nice choice for breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Would highly recommend!

Amazing, quiet and comfortable retreat at the top of Rome historic/central area. The only challenge is locating the way in. At the big doors on the street ring the bell and announce yourself and greet the host. Once through, go into the doors onto the left and into the building. Up a couple of steps there is a tall staircase to the left and a couple more steps leading to a corridor. Go right along the corridor, pass an office, and reach a staircase. Go up one level on the stairs. The second door on level 1 is the Suites. There is a plaque indicating this, and the internal bell. Ring the bell and you will be inside and can relax :)

Opera Suites is a moderately priced spot in a really posh part of Rome. It's nestled amongst much pricier hotels in a nice, non descript building. It's less than a five minute amble from the Spanish Steps heading downhill, and equally close to Villa Borghese if you head uphill. The neighborhood is very quiet at night, which is welcome after a day spent amidst the hustle and bustle of a very busy city. The staff are super friendly and helpful and work hard to keep the place spotlessly clean. A nice breakfast buffet is provided too. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a modern, well appointed bathroom. My thanks to Giovanni, Tanya and Marco for their kindness. We hope to see you all again!

This accommodation is conveniently located near the bus and near the Metro, near Spanish Steps. We were able to come and go on our own, after hours we had keys to enter the building. The room was well-cleaned. The AC worked well. There were dining options nearby which were off the tourist paths, which we liked. Staff of Tatiana and Mark were helpful and welcoming.

We loved staying in this hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious and the shower was very good! It could benefit from a non-slip mat but other than that it was great! The breakfast was not like the French breakfast but did the trick! We loved the location too! It’s super close to a Metro stop and it’s close by but not too close to Trevi Fountain.

Not very impressed. When we arrived at the location of the hotel, according to google maps, there was no signage for it. We had to call the front desk to let us in. Our room had two sets of doors that both locked. To our surprise they needed seperate keys and we only recieved one key. Ultimately, we had to call the emergency number, wait over an hour, and be lectured about why we should not close one of the doors. Clearer instructions at check-in would have been helpful. Needless to say, we left feeling frustrated with the service.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It is more like a bed and breakfast. Very clean, large and spacious rooms. Our room came with 2 bathrooms. It’s walking distance to all the main sites and right next to the Borghese park which was ideal for a family with young kid. Quiet and Convenient. 2 mins from Metro line. Staff were great. We highly recommend the Opera Suites for a relaxing and quiet stay in Rome!

We spent our last night at Opera Suites Roma before flying home. Overall, our stay was okay, but the experience caught us off guard. There is no signage from the street, and the entrance is through a residential/communal hallway. The property is a bed & breakfast, not a hotel as we anticipated. The main foyer is on the second floor and is dead silent and darker. Our check in was rushed, and it was hard to understand the lady at the reception desk. My wife and I were tired, and just wanted to get into our room, but failing to recognize that, she proceeded to highlight the entire map of Rome for us and what sites/attractions to visit. Then, she left and we didn't see her again. In the morning we checked out with another gentleman, but didn't know who he was. Our room was quiet, clean and spacious. Overall it was good value and served the purpose and we had a good night sleep, but the whole experience was just a bit odd not as expected. Would recommend for a night or two max, but not for an extended stay in Rome.

Wonderful!

It was a little tricky where to go when we checked in. There isn't too much signage, but we are so happy we stayed here. The location is wonderful and it is so clean and relaxing. Only downside was we stayed in the room with the loft and that can get very hot up in the loft but the rest of the room was cool. Again, really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be back to Rome to stay there again!

We got in late, so that was an added expense of 20 euros we knew about as they are only there til 830, we were just happy to finally make it in at 10. There seemed to be some confusion about breakfast being included. Upon check in we were told it was an extra $5 each, but then we were offered breakfast in the morning for free. Regardless, it wasn't that tempting, so we made coffee in our room and ate elsewhere later.
Hotel is at the top of a hill, so after walking around Rome all day, we'd still have to walk up the hill to get to bed. So, be prepared. And, after the employee leaves for the night, you are there alone but maybe with other tourists.

Poor night’s sleep-THIN walls

I am a bit surprised at all of the very positive reviews of this place. Yes it’s very clean and the people who work there are very nice but this place isn’t great.

Good:
1. It’s clean
2. Staff is nice
3. Location is near major points of interest

Bad:
1. The walls are PAPER thin. I mean PAPER thin. This place isn’t a hotel, it’s inside of a office type building which they converted it into a 7 room place.
2. You can hear every single noise made by someone in the room next to you. The guy next to us was coughing up a lung and you could hear every single cough. And when someone put a cup on a table in the kitchen area you can hear it from across the hotel
3. The finishes in the room are inadequate. The outlet covers kept coming apart anytime you unplugged your device and the shower drain kept coming off. The shower head was put on crooked. It’s clear the finishes are cheaply made.

Overall, book someplace else if you want a good nights sleep.

I was thrilled with the room we were given to stay in. We each had our own bathroom and shower. The sofa bed was very comfortable compared to any I have slept on in the past and there was a sliding door between the bedroom and living space for more privacy. The staff was very kind and helpful. Once we arrived by car we were able to navigate thru Rome from hotel without difficulty. Very good location near restaurants and Spanish steps we were able to walk to most points of interest!

This place was great. We arrived at around 10:30 am after a long overnight flight, knowing that Check-in wasn’t till 2:00, just hoping that we could store our luggage. Mark at the desk welcomed us and said we could go right to our room. The breakfast (small extra charge) was wonderful. The room was great and the location perfect! We walked everywhere from the Suites, and the Metro stations was nearby. Highly recommend!

The property is close to some good restaurants and the Villa Bourghese. The staff was very accommadating. The only downside in the room was that the blow dryers on the wall didn’t work in 3 of the 4 rooms we stayed in. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Rome!

I absolutely loved the room I had booked, it was exactly like the picture online. And it was also very spacious for being in Centro Roma. Tania was extremely friendly and sweet to me, she knew it was my birthday coming up and made the day special with a little gift and gave me a hug that morning. I also had an issue with my flight being delayed, but was able to get ahold of Opera Suites via Expedia email letting them know, and we were able to reschedule my ride from the airport. The Metro was 8 minutes walking distance, so it made getting around easy and the Blue line was close by too. The breakfast was delicious and served every morning around the time I had requested. I’ll definitely be back to Rome and I plan to stay here again, I’ll recommend any of my friends this lovely place also. It was very quiet, off a back street but easy to find once you arrived. The restaurants nearby were also amazing. The bed was probably my most comfortable from previous travels so far, which is always nice after a long flight in. The property is not 24/7, but you’re given a key to the front door to let yourself in after dark. I had no problems with coming and going as I pleased. They were also very helpful with scheduling my ride to the airport home as it was at 4:00 am on a Saturday to catch a 7:15 am flight. This was done the day before, absolutely no problems there as the driver was outside waiting before 4:00 am.

Quiet and Updated B&B

Located in a quiet area of Rome near the Villa Borghese and away from the hustle and bustle, this bed & breakfast is very clean and modern. Mark was especially helpful in making our stay enjoyable. Our room was loft style with stairs and a low ceiling, which was unexpected. We asked to be moved and were given a lovely suite on one level which was perfect. Breakfast was to order. Wifi worked. No complaints.

We spent 3 nights here and was greeted by Mark (if I can recall his name correctly), who take care of everything around the hotel. Right from the start he was very helpful at checkin and tentative to all our needs during the stay. The rooms are spacious, quite, very comfortable beds and pillow, nice shower set-up, and my little girl loves the second storey hideout within our room.
Breakfast had everything we needed without wastage and being over the top.
Minibar is reasonable price, unlike most hotels.
The hotel is situated on top of the hill so we got a bit of a workout everyday pushing the pram or carrying the 3 years old up the hill, nevertheless it’s walkable to all the attractions and very close to the Spanish Steps and other lookout points over Rome.

We really enjoy our stay here and Mark made it extra special. I would stay here again next time I’m in Rome.

Lovely hotel near to the main attractions

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Opera Suites and would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
The hotel is located just a short stroll from the Spanish Steps but all other attractions are easy to walk to in under 30 minutes.
The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, we also couldn’t fault the standard of the bed which was great to sink into at the end of a busy day.
The hotel staff Tanya and Mark were amazing and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible, giving us advice and tips on where to eat as well as directing us via the easiest route to get to where we wanted to go.
I would definitely book this hotel for our next visit to this beautiful city, thank you Opera Suites for making our trip so special.

My hidden five star secret point in Rome

Excellent outstanding place to be. Giovanni is the master in hospitality knowledge. Mark was above and beyond our expectations in kindness and service. I recommend this place as a five diamond place for the attention to the guests. Be aware that no sign at the entrance big wood door and better have a previous communication with the staff because it is a little difficult to find it after hours.
I will be there anytime I have to visit Rome.
