Beautiful lobby and great location for luxury shopping. However, service was a nightmare. I made a reservation for afternoon tea which was confirmed with reception at check-in, but there was a corporate event in the salon where tea was usually held. So they moved me to the 7th floor which has panoramic views, but not the same vibe as the salon. I was sitting on patio furniture and the decor was pretty basic. The staff had no idea what was going on. If they had told me in advance they were cancelling afternoon tea, I would have made other plans.

Also, upon check-out, I insisted on handling my own luggage but they took my luggage when I was settling the bill and placed it in a van for some group that i was not a part of. This was intensely stressful as I was on my way to the airport and they had no idea where my luggage went. I spotted a van and insisted they open the doors so I could check if my bags were there.

I speak Italian so this was not a case of language confusion. I think because I look Asian, they assumed I was part of a group of Asian tourists.

Never before have I stayed in a hotel where the staff was completely clueless. Very friendly, but incompetent.

Go to Bulgari or la Russie for a luxury experience. Avoid Hassler.

We have been coming to this hotel for many years, and we absolutely love the service and the staff. However, this time the room was very dirty. There was visible dust and dirty carpet. We have brought it to the attention of the front desk and hope they deep clean the rooms.

It’s a nice property and a great location. Room clean and nice but needs some improvements particularly technology. They significantly mischarged me for a car they booked which I caught and took a while but they corrected. This is hotel that charges top dollar but is stingy with water in room looking to get you for a few extra dollars

A very funny prompting question. This is one of the world's great hotels and it lives up to its reputation. Enormously expensive and worth it for a day in the lap of luxury overseen by attentive staff. My only quibble - and it is small- is that wait staff in the restaurant are a bit heavy handed on complimenting diners. Dial it back a notch and the issue disappears.

Winter Break in Rome with Teens and College Kids

Beautiful hotel. We typically stay in more historic area but wanted to stay in a different/nighttime busier area with our teens and college age students looking to explore in the evening. Hassler was well-located with great food and shopping nearby. Staff was excellent. Gym terrific. View from gym and the rooftop terrace exceptional.

We stayed twice on our most recent trip to italy and we had a truly fantastic experience. Service is top notch, the concierges (especially Christian) went above and beyond and truly showed the meaning of what a concierge is.

This hotel only gets better with age( 128 yrs old) I had stayed here in the late 80's and was so presently surprised that the hotel was better than before!
Th rooms are great, service amazing and food a treat!

There is no better place to stay in Rome.

The roof top terrace has the most amazing views of Rome.

The restaurant on the roof has a view that shouldn't be missed, I highly recommend catching the sunset with dinner and wine. The food was amazing and we enjoyed everything we tried. Please bring a jacket and a nice shirt if you are coming here, as this is a very special Michelin Star experience to eat here.

The staff of the Hassler Roma are there for you and it starts from the moment you get off the plane. If you book at drive through the Hassler, you will find a man waiting with a sign that has your last name on it as you finish clearing customs in Italy. He will help you with your carry on luggage and assist you to your bags to retrieve them from the baggage claim. He will get them on a cart and lead you out of the busy airport to a driver from his company that is waiting for you. After the introductions you will say goodbye to him as your driver will take your luggage and lead you to the Mercedes Van.

The staff checking you in are very friendly as they answer guests questions. I saw them pointing things out on maps a few times to help guests that had questions.

The bell hop and doorman are very friendly and outgoing. Also great at answering questions all day and and night from guest and tourist's wandering over from the Spanish Steps.

I saved the best for last, the house keeping staff.
Simply the best I have ever had, friendly and a fantastic attitudes.

Old world beautiful hotel,quiet, elegant, reserved. Very friendly staff who were helpful with anything you asked. Feels like staying in a palace. Lots of cream color, gold accents, mirrors everywhere, like Versailles. Large room with full couch and chair. Very large bathroom, separate walk in shower, soaking tub, double marble sinks, lots of lights, separate toilet and bidet. Large fluffy towels and plenty of them. Fresh fruit and white roses. Champagne also. Really good good maid service too.

Perfect location at the top of the Spanish Steps with gracious, accommodating staff. Rooms are a bit small but well appointed. It is a 5 star hotel in Rome so of course drinks or food in the hotel will be expensive but it is all part of the experience. Stay here and enjoy the ambiance.

Recently back from a week’s stay at the Hassler. This is an outstanding hotel with exceptional service. From the moment you arrive and Cesare welcomes you to the outstanding conciege , it is a well orchestrated first impression that lives up to it standard throught your stay. My initial room did not hvaecthe view i expected but this hotel will not allow you to be even slightly unimpressed. My room with a view of the Spanish steps was made my stay in Rome magical- it was difficult to leave the room. I asked for a driver to see the city and along came Heatlcliff who was so entertaing and exceptional that i change my 3 hour tour to 5 without hesitation. This is the only plce to stay if you want to stay in Rome...i am planning to be back in Fall.

Old school elegance in Rome

You can't deny the seamless elegant efficiency of this hotel.
I recommend to book the hotel car to pick you up at the airport. The car and driver are very professional and they communicate with the hotel to anticipate your arrival. The doormen are very friendly and helpful, it was extremely rainy during our stay, the doormen were always there with an umbrella and holding the door open with a friendly welcome back when they saw us crest the top of the Spanish Steps.

I knew it would be expensive and it was, so I'm not complaining ....just accept they charge 5* prices.
Room was compact but well designed.
Daughter was disappointed in spa facilities ,so if you want to swim go elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed at the Hassler for a long weekend to celebrate our 60th birthdays just before Christmas. We loved the hotel. The service was excellent, we were very well looked after. Salon Eva has a magical, old-fashioned ambience with a pianist in the evenings. Breakfast was served till late every day enabling us to sleep in. The food was so good we did not venture out of the hotel for our main meals. Our room which was Deluxe was modern with a large bathroom. We like a soft bed and found the mattress too hard, but the hotel supplied a mattress topper as soon as we mentioned the problem. We would go back at the drop of a hat!

When booking through Expedia, prebooked, I was assigned a non renovated 20-30 year old bare bone minimum cubby hole with inadequate decor worthy of 2 star or less.

Family run hotel, and staff are fabulous, complained and upgraded to a properly modernized, recently renovated room.

Perfect hotel in the hear of Rome.

Hotel Hassler was more than I expected - I knew it would be 5 star, but I have stayed at many 5 stars hotels in my time but not like this one. There was nothing that was too much trouble. The staff could almost read my mind. They were good - I mean really good. I am actually going to say that the hotel chains in the USA and Australia should perhaps go and get some lessons in hospitality at the Hassler. Great location - Best every hotel. I am going to make one little comment because it needs to be mentioned. It could be perceived to be a little expensive. A glass of Prosecco was 13Euro, whereas it could easily be purchased for 5Euro in another establishment. Can I just say they serve the best olives/chips/roasted almonds and hazelnuts when you order a glass so I thought that all in all it was ok. I guess that means there was nothing wrong with the Hassler. Not in my eyes. Would love to come back one day - should've thrown a coin in my room as I left.

Best Views with Royal Treatment

We came here for 4 nights for our anniversary. The service was relaxed and very professional. We could count on the staff to be very friendly and first class every time.
The room was beautiful and very luxurious. The views were spectacular! The bed mattress was too hard for us. I would have liked a softer mattress to sleep in after all the walking. Something like a 'Heavenly Bed' would have made all the difference! Otherwise, we would definitely comeback.

I can not say enough good things about the Hotel Hassler and the service! My luggage was lot for 3 days, and the concierge were so helpful in finding me clothes to buy (and not spend a fortune), and getting my luggage to me!
We will be back many times!

Top Notch!

We visited the Hassler Roma for 4 nights and were thrilled. The location is fabulous - right at the top of the Spanish Steps. The service was terrific - in particular the Concierge who helped with many dining reservations. The check in staff was extremely welcoming and even was able to get our room for us much earlier than usual check in. The hotel itself is very beautiful. Our room was spacious, very clean and very comfortable with a king bed and sitting area with couch and chairs. The garden area is a great spot for breakfast and we frequented the 7th floor terrace for cappuccino in the morning. The gym was ideal for a quick workout before starting your day and the spa was perfect late afternoon spot for a massage. We will visit this beautiful city many times again and we will always stay at the Hassler Roma.

スペイン階段の真上という素晴らしい立地で、テラスからはローマ市内を一望でき、最高の環境でした。ホテルスタッフも気さくでよかったです。ただ一つ、空港までのタクシーを頼んだのが、ロビーのスタッフに伝わっておらず、一から手配することになったのが残念でした。

We stayed at Hassler Roma only one night. last October. That stay was the final day of one week holiday of Italy. We expected the stay and, we enjoyed sun set terrace, delicious ristaurante Imago, and gorgeous breakfast.
But we recieved the flight cancel e-mail from airline due to bad whether condition before check out time. So we had to order new flight by i Pad. In that situation hotel staff was very kindly for us to print out the e-ticket and managemant transport to the airport. So We want to stay Hassler again because we could not enjoy completely due to airline accident.

By far the most beautiful hotel in the entire Rome - perfect location, excellent service, stunning interior - pure luxury, truly an iconic spot. The stuff is so warm and welcoming, breakfast is very nice but lacks porridge. We got a complimentary upgrade of the room which was great. But the best part is the terrace. It's cozy yet panoramic, the view is spectacular, breathtaking - indeed there is no other city like Rome, and that terrace is the place to admire la grande bellezza of Rome...Tank you Hassler, will definitely return!..

今回の滞在をとても楽しみにしていました。スタッフの方も親切で当初はとても気分よく滞在させていただきました。が最終日前日（8月7日の夕方）のルーフトップラウンジでのとあるスタッフの行動、言動でせっかくの旅が台無しになったような気がします。8月6日のスタッフの方はお願い事（メニューにないオーダー）には快く受けてくださり、気の利いたサービス、心遣いの出来る方だったのにもかかわらず、7日のスタッフがまず座りたいシートにも座らせてくれない、日よけのシェードも壊れたから無理といい閉めてくれない、前日にお願いしたメニューも出来ないと言う（シェフに聞くと言いながらYesterday明らかに聞くふりをしているだけで聞いていない）Yesterday was yesterday.
Today is anather day といい人を馬鹿にしたような言い方をし、あまりにひどいのでコンシェルジュに言いに行くとマネージャーのような人が来てAre youOK?と聞いてくる始末。そのマネージャーのような人も全然気配りも出来ず、私たち6人も団体は最悪の気分。スタッフの意地悪でシェードを閉めてくれず、西日に長時間当たったせいで6人中の3人が夜から熱中症のような症状になり大変な旅の最終日だった。次の日の朝、朝食のところでまたそのスタッフとマネージャーがいて、私の友人がトイレに行く際にばったり会ったら、ウオッて避けられたそうです。
一流ホテルにあるまじき人材、スタッフ教育を徹底すべきと思いました。私たちがアジア人ゆえの人種差別なのかなと思いました。
